Our family stopped here one day in late September. It was a breezy day and the water was rough. The leaves were changing so the view was beautiful. I did a quick hike around on some of the trails. They seemed well marked and we'll worn. It looks like this place gets a lot of visitors so I don't think I would come here in peak summer season. There were smokers and drinkers down by the water and the smoke traveled up the trail and was a bit annoying. Otherwise the place looks great.

It's very serene and has a nice chill vibe. speaking of chill, i could not get in the water in early August because it was too cold (not the waters fault, i'm just a baby.) There is also a nudist beach so keep that in mind if you have children, it's very much tucked away though and would be totally safe and fine if you would want to bring your kids there.

Very nice park with great trails! I hiked hiked with my dog to up to Mount Pisgah. I would rate it as a moderate to difficult hike due to the elevation changes but reaching the top is very rewarding. Make sure you take a break halfway there to enjoy the views of the lake. The views at the top are also very nice of the area.

Gorgeous lake that has a north and south beach; both free. Hiking tails on the mountains that create the "gap". You can also - country ski and horse back ride. Use of the trails is free. Plenty of parking.

We enjoyed the amazing views of Lake Willoughby. The south side of the lake in front of the White Caps Campground was literally empty on a sunny Saturday noon. Great place to relax while enjoying the amazing views.

Extremely underrated NE destination! Unbelievably beautiful. Do the hike up Mt Pisgah and once done, jump into the lake! Access is directly across from trailhead, over guardrail. Come back in the winter to view the icebergs and sharpen your ice climbing skills on some classic NE lines
