Very noisy camping grounds: motor boats on the lake, lawn movers, noisy neighbors... The lake and camping are surrounded by private properties.

I love this park! The staff members are wonderful and very friendly. However, I found out that there is NO GROTON STATE PARK! This is actually STILLWATER STATE PARK!!!! Still, it is the best park in groton!

A really, really nice State Park to camp at. Stillwater is on Lake Groton, which is one of the best lakes I have been to in Vermont. I went out on a kayak and enjoyed the scenery, looking at Owls Head, Little Deer and Big Deer mountain, and seeing all the beautiful homes on the lake. At night, hearing the loons is so peaceful, and the star filled skies shimmered like nothing else you'd see outside of the forest. The hiking trails are great! I picked raspberries and black berries, and edible mushrooms, which I learned about from the Naturalist at the Nature Center just down the road from the park! Boulder Beach is also just on the other side of the lake which was so nice to be able to go there and have a BBQ with my family and enjoy their playground, and sandy beach area. It was truly a lovely stay, and I'll be back!

Great state park with tons of hiking, motor and paddle boating, fishing and biking. There are some great tasks and it's very family friendly.

We rented a tandem kayak here and had a blast on the lake! Now that we got a chance to scope out the campsites, I would definitely stay here! So much room for activities!

Beautiful park. You can't bring your dog to any beach nor can you leave your dog unattended at your site. So... unless you have a waterfront site don't bring a dog.

Dan PN

Park of the year. Best lakeside camping anywhere.

Philip Johnson

We really enjoyed our stay. Comparable with most state park campgrounds - good facilities, and always a great location.
