Amazing, we had the best group shot ever

At the intersection of many trails, so the car stays parked for all your stay. We did the big dear trail from the park and the forest is very beautiful. We loved all the trails and hills. The remote camping facilities (lean-to's) are sharp and neat, we will try them next time. They sell fire starters that are very efficient, you should try them. It helps to start big fires in few minutes. Will come back next year!

Easy check in. Nice bathroom and pay shower. Corrals for horses. Convenient access to many trails and rock climbing at Marshfield Ledge. Price is a bit steep.

What a beautiful park area but that does not compare to the kindness of the Park Officials- in particular, Ranger Don was absolutely amazing! We thank him for his courtesy and for all of his assistance in making this camping trip a very memorable one indeed; thank you so much, Ranger Don, for allowing us the use of such a great tent! I've been to a LOT of campgrounds. From Acadia to Green Mountains, all the way down to Kauai. New Discovery is one of the best, if not the best. It's open, easy to navigate, and has spaceous private sites. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is plenty of hiking, kayaking, and swimming opportunities. Super chill staff is icing on the proverbial cake. Highly recommended!
