REVIEWS OF Molly Stark State Park IN Vermont

We had a really enjoyable hike Iowa to the fire tower. There are 2 different ways to reach the tower making the hike doable for any skill level. The camping sites appear clean and modern. Overall a really lovely park.

Alexander Marden

Friendly staff, clean sites, and plenty of dry firewood. Sites are a little close, but still offer enough privacy. Offers tent sites, lean to shelters, and trailer locations. Trail up Mt. Olga to the fire tower is well worth the trip.

Unit ZER0

Nice and quiet. A good place to base out of if you plan to explore the surrounding towns.

Nice, small state park provides western access to Mountain Olga and its fire tower. There's a well-laid out loop trail here with spurs to additional trails. Fees are charged in warm seasons, but not in winter when I went.

Amazing view from the firetower. But walk along the southern stretch of Mt. Olga Trail both when walking up and down (heavy logging along the northern one).

Had fun hiking up to the fire tower. Too open for me to climb, though! My family enjoyed it while I stayed at the bottom with the dogs.

As Someone who loves exploring abandoned ski areas, and hiking in general, I loved visiting Molly Stark State Park. The trails here weave around Hogback Mountain, a former ski area which operated here into the mid 80s. These a fire tower at the top of the mountain which provides nice views of the area, and its cool to see the remains of the ski area.

Tufayel Ahmed

Stayed here for one night staff was really helpful and pleasant. Grounds were nice. Only draw back is the traffic on the highway if you are over by site 23 but cant fault them for that.

Kate Cullifer

What a beautiful state park. We did a day pass to picnic and the ranger encouraged us to drive around because we were interested in camping there eventually. We did a short walk, but the trails look wonderful. 10/10 will go again.

Roberto Vieira-Barbosa

Nice rangers and staff. Clean bathrooms, hot shower, great lean-tos and camping sites. Easy access, all around clean, safe and well maintained state park and better yet, not overpriced.

Fantastic hike with amazing views from the tower at the tip of Mount Olga.

Pulled off the highway because our van was making a noise, I wanted to see what the problem was, but one of the most rude park employees I have ever met in the whole country, told me I had to pay a fee, before I could even take a look at my vehicle, what an uncompassionate person he was. If he's an example of a Vermont state employee, shame on you!

Another great VT State Park. The hike up Mt Olga was very rewarding after climbing the fire tower atop the mountain. The campsites are nice, park staff is very nice and helpful and the bathrooms/showers are kept very clean. This is a great place for family camping or just a day hike and picnic.

Jerry Place

Small / easy hike to tower. Trail Marked fairly well. Little to no parking if main gate to State Park close during off season.

Having another great 4th of July weekend here at Molly Stark despite the rain. Such a nice quiet campground. Fireworks tonight and tomorrow night down the road. And maybe a hike up to the tower on Tuesday. We love coming here!

Ryan Cosgrove

Well maintained state park with a beautiful trail to the fire tower atop Mt. Olga. Would recommend to anyone passing through!

Roger Simmons

A true gem of a State Park. Clean, quiet, great value. Of course no hook ups so if you need them look elsewhere. Very handy to attractions in this part of VT. You can also use the beach at Woodford SP 20 minutes to the west without paying day use fees if you are a camper at MS SP.

Extremely friendly n hot showers for your cup holder change

Great hike to the fire lookout platform. Spectacular views in all directions. Well marked and worn trail. If you are in your 20's I'd say it was easy ... if your in your 50's I would call it intermediate. About 2 miles round trip over mostly rocks and roots with a moderate grade. Recommended.

Cecil McLaury

Beautiful park! This VT state park is clean and has up to date facilaties.

Beautiful park. Cool lean to camp sites. Mt. Olga trail sounds like it is going to be easy since it's just under a mile. It was challenging for the family. Grounds were beautiful. The park workers were very helpful.
