We had a blast at this park, nice walk and beautiful scenery. Visited in the fall which made it more magical and the trails are well taking care of.

I have dogs and go hiking with them. If they aren't welcome, I head elsewhere...sadly, this place will never be on my list. I imagine some folks love it though for the no pet policy

One of my all-time favorite places been taking my family there since 1980 things have changed missed the lifeguards miss the snack bar.... Not the same as I remembered Georgia State cutbacks and no funding for state parks

Met a friend for the day here since it was halfway for us both. Cute lake. Family friendly and clean. Would love to come back and explore some of the trails/take my paddle board out in the lake.

Very nice place. They have some playground equipment for the kids and changing facilities. Plenty of benches and BBQ grills too. A nice place to take the family.

I have never been during the regular season but I'm here from Labor Day to Memorial Day for morning walks on the nature trail around the lake. My dog s have been coming here for almost their entire life and it's probably their favorite spot. There are gorgeous views and the trail is maintained and includes bridges in the areas where it's boggy. For a little different scenery you can walk the railroad tracks for a bit. Mostly flat there are a few minor hills and one part with some serious roots -- watch the little ones there.

Beautiful state park offering great swimming and a well maintained walking trail around the lake. Lots of benches and grills for cookouts. Restroom and changing facilities but no showers.

This was may last stop on my New England road trip in October 2015. Since, at that time of year Vermont State Parks shut down their day use activities I pretty much had the place to myself. I hiked around the lake along the trail that crosses over Hemlock Island. It was very peaceful and very clean. The park itself is surrounded by the southern section of the Green Mountain National Forest which probably helps keep it so peaceful.
