Shawn Lockwood

Rented some kayaks and had a great time! Very convenient and packed with helpful staff!

Staci Alberi

Beautiful large park over looking Lake Champlain and St. Albans Bay. Islands a short distance. Biggest problem for the size of the park there is only one portable toilet and it is hard to find!

Tatiana Gladkikh

Amanda Muzzy

It was very clean and the staff were all very friendly!

Berglind Davis

It's such a peaceful place to visit. I wishes I lived closer to the park. For a state park, their facilities were some of the best in the state of Vermont.

This park does have some history for Vermont, but due to lake pollution, come mid to late summer, the water is very gross. There is ample parking and this is a good park if you visit early in the year. Large grass space and BBQ pits for grilling. Beach is mostly shall rocks that get pretty hot on really sunny days.

Jim Smith

Great place!

Kamp Kill Care State Park is a little tucked away, but at the same time, not very difficult to access. There is plenty of parking and the views of the lake and Champlain Islands are excellent. Kamp Kill Care State Park is where you need to go to access Burton Island State Park via a ferry, which is visible from the shores of Kill Care. This is a great fishing spot or just a nice place to relax and spend an afternoon or evening. You have the option of either sun or shaded areas within this park as well. The park is open until around sunset and there are grills available throughout the park. Overall, my experience has been that this is a quieter place than the town park, down the road over the handful of times that I have been here. This is a great place to come and watch the sunset as well. The staff at this park are always very friendly and helpful. There are so many great state parks in Vermont, and Kamp Kill Care is one of the best along the Champlain Valley here in northern VT.

This is One of St. Alban’s best kept secrets! Very quite and spacious. It’s free to stop by during the off season. It is very well kept. They need to reinstall a swing set for children, but other than that, this place is 5 stars!

Beautiful lake front park! The unique history of this park is interesting and the views of Lake Champlain are stunning! This is a day use park so no dogs are allowed, trash is carry in/carry out. Great spot for swimming, picnicking and there is space for events. Rentals are available and there is a boat launch as well. Burton Island is a short trip away via the Island Runner passenger ferry which docks at Kill Kare. The large home which once served as the living quarters for a boy's camp houses the bathrooms and a small informational museum of sorts in the main room downstairs.

Mark Gregoire

Always enjoy coming here to take off to go kayaking around Burton Island. Also enjoyed eating at Burton Island and visiting the scenery

This is a great park at any time of the year. Mostly for a walk when it's colder out. Great facilities for having a picnic and BBQ near lake Champlain. Ferry access to Burton island and overnight campsites which can be rented. Firewood available for purchase. Can't say enough good things about this park except I wish it were free in the summer. Beautiful views of the lake, islands and mountains all around.

Celine Blondel

Currently flooded! But the crews are out getting it ready for summer.

Beautiful view, but mostly just a ferry depot for Burton Island.

I have been to Kamp Kill Kare several times and have had a wonderful time with the exception of 06-20-18. The woman Manning booth and checking about at the end of the day She was extremely rude to my daughter. The staffing should be friendly and helpful Other than that day I've always enjoyed my visits

Abhijeet Anand

Quiet park. Walked with family during winter with snow coming down on Christmas Eve

Beautiful place with friendly staff! Well maintained. They are very accommodating. I was there with a group of about 15 kids and 10 adults and while we were there a group of about 75 people came (local nursing homes came as a treat to their residents and staff) and between the elderly visitors and the group I was with consisted of some handicap or disabled kids and the staff at this State Park helped accommodate in any way they possibly could

Sarah West

Love visiting here in the summer. One of my favorite places to go. Water is always clean to swim in unlike around the corner where St. Albans Bay is. It's cheap to get in and it's clean, they have bathrooms and friendly staff.

(Translated by Google) Very nice park to swim in Lake Champlain on a beautiful summer day. The park is very well laid out and equipped for picnics. They even have self-service BBQs! However, there is no grocery store or convenience store nearby so bring everything you need.

Chris Bigg

Lovely park at the end of the bay. The view of the Lake Champlain is breath taking. We went after Labor Day so the beach and facilities were closed, but for being closed the park was still clean and nice.

Love this park in the summer or winter. Beach is rocky so bring water shoes for sure. Great for parties! During the winter it's a beautiful winter wonderland
