Had a great time up until I was about to leave when an extremely rude non-compliant male refused to leash his untrained dogs. They prevented me and my puppy from entering my vehicle and leaving for over 10 minutes due to the lack of respect for others and that Park. His name is David Gray apparently, he drives a newer white Subaru and is a local Montpelier resident with three dogs one with a metal muzzle on it. I love dogs and it is not their fault, the owner should have complete control or if not should have been leashed.

I love walking up in Hubbard Park I take the trails for the woods there shaded and cool and then sometimes I walk back on the road meet lots of friendly people wonderful dogs enjoy everybody's company and the silence and Beauty as well.

Wow! This is Vermont's capital gem park. We we're traveling all day and this dog park was a welcome stop. Miles of trails, friendly dog owners, hikers, and bikers! This was a stop well worth it!

The trail up the hill towards the tower is so peaceful and calm. The incline in the hill is great for a nice workout and climbing the tower is super nice and beautiful

Some towns have a small park to play in, for for sure Montpelier has several of those but it also has Hubbard Park. Because it is annexed to the town which is small to begin with, it is a central attraction for those living in Montpelier and the surround areas. At the center of the park is a tower that allows you to see amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains. Every season is different. There are picnic tables and facilities for grilling. There is road access but many people from the town just hike up. To get to the tower you have to park then hike, about 10 minutes is you are capable. I have trouble walking and use a cane and I made it in about 20 minutes. The air in Hubbard Park is so clean and refreshing. The trails are wide and cleared. It is an amazing place. Take your camera as there are many photo opportunities.

A beautiful woodland park within and above the little city of Montpelier. You can take a pleasant hike around the park, walk down one of the roads leading back to town and have yourself a nice meal or a cup of coffee. Friendly, beautiful place.

I would love to have this kind of park near me. I could easily spend hours here. We plugged in the Tower not knowing where it was. The suggested route was very steep. Wouldn't do that again. Make sure you plug in the park.

Reachable by foot or car from downtown Montpelier. We had a nice hike along the trails. More signage wouldn't hurt, especially along the paths leading to the tower. Finding parking was easy.

Love having a place in Montpelier to get away from the city. I do wish the trails were a little neater - there were trees that the crew had fallen but left laying on the side of the trail - almost in the trail. Seems like it would be best to remove these altogether instead of just pushing them to the side.

Love the park so much, I'm in there all the time. If you don't like dogs, or your dog doesn't like dogs it can be tricky as people have their dogs off leash and are not always in voice control.

Easy drive ,kinda confusing but the tower had two trails and one take 10 mins and the other trail takes 3mins. Great view from the tower, also they have a place to sit and eat.

Very lovely park! Large enough to hike and "get away" into nature, but not so large that you'll get lost (for long). The tower is nice to visit just for the view, and there are grills for spring, summer, and fall picnics. The trails are great, and going off of the trails affords a chance to have some quiet, alone time

After a nice 20-minute walk up a well-maintained trail you climb up a fanciful tower with a 360 view at the tree canopy. Forget Monpelier exists. Free and priceless.
