It's a nice little state park. There is nowhere to swim at the park but you can go fishing Bakers Pond which is a two minute drive away, and there is a floating bridge nearby that many people fish off of and around.

I have been going to this park for years since I was a child, but this time the staff seemed unfriendly. One barged into our camp and said we were talking a laughing to loudly 40 minutes before quiet hours were to begin, on a Monday night when the place was almost empty of people. Now I know why the park was so empty. Needs a more friendly staff for sure.

Picnicked at this great park six decades ago as a child. Returned ten years ago, and I was so happy to see the tower, "pavilion", and the picnic spots pretty much as I remembered. It's on my bucket list to return, one more time :-)

A Vermont State Park hidden gem! Come for a quick hike, beautiful views from the fire tower, a picnic, or if you need to host a gathering- rent the pavilion! There is camping onsite as well. The fire tower has a lookout guide inside so you can really get a great idea of what you're looking at!

It's a beautiful little state park but you really have to look for it. There is no real signage until you are actually at the park. Worth it to find.

The park is small and away from the bigger towns in VT, but a quick 35 minute drive to Stowe. The park staff are friendly and helpful. Staying for the 4th of July weekend, my wife and I enjoyed a relatively quiet campsite that was clean and well-kept. We had the Apple lean to adjacent to one of the bathrooms. The bathrooms and coin-op showers were clean and stocked with tissue daily. One thing I will advise is that picking the Apple lean-to, being so close to the bathrooms, means you will have people drive up to your campsite often. However, this was no issue for us, as the campground is very stern about noise and it seems people got the memo. The Bear Hill loop trail was pleasant and starts/ends byba fire tower that gives great views of surrounding areas.

This was a great camping experience. I fell it's more for people who do not have children going. Not alot to do there, no swimming no play ground. Secluded and relaxing time.

The ranger and the park volunteer are superb in welcoming guest. The park is extremely clean and it is very quiet. You can hear the trees blow in the wind and the comfort is the best I have experienced! This State Park is really a must for anyone seeking to relax and enjoy!
