This Park belongs to the category of Hiking area.
Super easy hike. Less than a mile and surprisingly photo worthy arch. Cool back drop into the canyon
A must see iconic Arch. Definitely go during sunrise and early morning to get the most interesting lighting. And be careful where you step - it's a long way to the canyon floor!
Stunning view, easy walk
Really Feel, this island in the sky.
Interesting short hike to the classic arch. (Don't climb on it!) There are interesting plants to identify along the way to and from the arch. You might want to bring bug spray because there are some annoying gnats in the area.
Beautiful view. Short hike in
Iconic view but very busy - even in April
Get up early and make the hike. When the morning sun hits ot is truly amazing!
Not the coolest arch in the area, but cool to see
When I first walked up to the Arch, my first thought was I thought it would be larger, but as I walked in front and got a glimpse of the view behind, I was amazed. We were smart and got here in the morning, so the Arch was spectacular being lite up underneath. The trail was not long, and was not difficult. The Cairns that lead the way are box like and unique. It was beautiful. #Mesa_arch #Island_in_the_sky #canyonlands #Utah_Rocks
It's a bit of a walk but an easy one to do. We had three kids under 10 with us who made it fine.
Very cool arch and view, a must see.
Really cool arch. Definitely worth the trip.
No matter what people say or you may think, the parks in Utah look prettier in winter with white color thrown in the mix. The mesa arch provides a beauty valley reveal as one walks closer to the arch. It's more dramatic to view the valley through the arch, basically a window to the vast valley with faraway mountains. Do also check out the views around the arch. In winter it gets very less crowded and provider unobstructed views. Just be aware of super cold conditions before you plan the trip :). stay safe and have fun.
Nice short hike. Take turns getting your picture in arch. Nice views of canyons below.
Lots of people visit for a reason. Best sunrise of a lifetime.
Best arc with a view of deep Canyon.
Nice little hike with informative panels about the local flora
Do it for the sunrise! Amazing views and surreal experience.
Really good. It is not just the Arch, but also beautiful dreamy landscape behind, which makes for the marvel of nature. The Arch is easily accessible from the main road. The walk takes some 5 minutes. You have to, of course, wait till other visitors take their pictures :-)
Good views.
Worth the hike. Beautiful scenery, make sure you do it early in the morning. 2.7 round trip hike. Bring water sunglasses. Lon g sleeve. Etc.sun block.
Beautiful view and easy hike
A short hike with a fantastic view
If you're in the area, this is definitely a necessary stop. Featured in lots of postcards, and for good reason. Spectacular view, unique arch feature, and makes for great picture
The hiking trails to the delicate arch is very ambitious#
Beautiful destination for sunrise. Crowded with photographers standing directly in front of arch but there are other viewpoints around overlook to still see the distance unobstructed.
Pleasant and very short trail (less than 15min) in to the Mesa Arch, well worth the work. Enjoyed the vegetation along the sandy route as well
An easy hike to a beautiful overlook of Canyonlands!
Fantastic sunrise. Very crowded.
If you only have time for one short hike in Canyonlands, this is it! Must do hike, it's fairly short and easy. You will recognize this iconic shot of Canyonlands. Any time of the day, it's beautiful. And watch for the snowy mountains in the distance through the arch.
Not so many arch. I expect to much. Still beautiful place but very hot. Drink much and use Head cover
Mesa Arch isn’t difficult to get with half mile trail, but the view should be unique in Canyon land NP. In winter, slow is all around the trail, even if this my 3yrs boy can make it by himself.
Surprisingly striking I expected something bigger but beauty is the view you find looking into the background
Short, easy hike to a beautiful spot.
Breathtaking view of the canyon lands from a decent elevation. Might be crowded.
Probably most popular spot, worth going for sure
Absolutely incredible. Super short easy hike. Just a bit of up and down. The entire Canyonlands Np is well worth the time and drive from Moab. Much less crowded than Arches.
Super easy hike. Not crazy crowded. Worth seeing!
Stunning views, easy hike.
Very short hike and great views. Not good if you're wanting a work out, but would recommend at sunrise vs sundown for best views.
Beautiful arch with sheer cliff on the other side of it. Hang on to the young ones but be prepared to enjoy the view. Not to difficult of a hike to get to the arch. Totally worth it. Beautiful colors and various plants along the Terrain including one little marked ash tree along the way. Enjoy!
Very pretty and a good little hike. People were pretty respectful of others taking photos. We went mid afternoon.
The trek to the arch is not difficult although areas can be steep. The panoramic view is worth the hike. A must see. Hint: for a picture of the arch with no tourists, just shout in an authoritative voice, "I just want a picture of the arch!" Or you could be there for eternity waiting.
Nice place. You will need to get in a line on a busy day to grab your photo. Expect to spend around 1/2 hour altogether in the home and the attraction. Carry water for sure
Great place to see the sunrise. Get there early to get a great spot or nasty photographers will yell at you. Stunning for first timers any part of the day.
Close up arch in Canyonlands national park. Noted for sunrise photos, an easy hike from parking lot. Breathtaking views through the arch of the canyon hundreds of feet below.
Beautiful buy almost impossible to take pictures due to amount of tourists
Tons of people down there, always, so trying to take a picture was interesting, lol. Super cool to see and worth the little hike!
Very nice view
Nice trail. Lots of cryptobiotic soul around so stay on the trail. This trail can get really crowded since it is only 1/2 mile long. Lots of families and stuff which is great. The view from the arch is pretty but you probably have to wait in line to get a picture with no people. This place gets really crowded at sunrise. It’s pretty but the crowd takes away from the enjoyment for me. There is a pit toilet bathroom in the parking lot.
Lovely and scenic! A true treasure; Valley of Fire State Park. Very close to Las Vegas.
Fun little hike for the family
If you are visiting the Arches National Park, definitely plan a visit to this place. It's around 1 hour from Moab. The best time to be there is for the sunrise in my opinion. I went there just few minutes before sunrise. The place was already crowded with people and dozens of photographers waiting for the sunrise through the arch, with their cameras and tripods. It was a surreal experience! Beautiful view of the canyons through the arch.
Only a half mile to the arch! Some of the best photo opportunities! This really is a must do for canyon lands National Park!
Great views and a nice easy hike.
This was a super easy short hike. Tons of people trying to take pics but still very cool.
It was snowing pretty hard the day we were here, so only able to visit Mesa Arch, shorter hikes but very cool.
Beautiful! Amazing view and only a short hike to get there.
This specific location is visually breathtaking and you cannot help yourself from thinking, how is this possible that the structure before you is exposed to all the elements every minute of every day of every year and it's just there standing in all of it's glory.
Busy place. Wait for your turn to take pictures. Worth the wait.
Great views.
I went there during the night, it's a easy hiking and it's amazing. But during the weekend on summer you have a lot off people coming to take pictures in the middle off the night.
My husband and I are still talking about this trip. Even with the heat, it was wonderful.
All i can say is beautifully wonderful!
Beautiful place to visit. The hike to get there is really just a walk. The weather was overcast but the views were still amazing!
Loved the site as I had good company and every one was super encouraging.
I love how close up you can get!
Great hiking. Go early because of heat!!
Beautiful! Worth at least one visit
A very relaxed and short hike is more than rewarding! The park has done an excellent job labeling the various plants an animals along the way.
Great place for your fury friend
We were there at first light and at least 5 photographers with tripods and 10+ families were all jostling to get a good view of the arch. It's pretty and an easy walk, so a good choice if you aren't up for a long hike. If you are up to hike a bit more, recommend you check out other places in the park.
A bucket list must.Get here early for the sunrise, in winter take a coat it’s freezing, and don’t worry you won’t be alone no matter when you go.
Beautiful. You should get out and see this for yourself. Please remember help keep this beautiful place clean take some extra trash out with you.
Easy 1/2 mile loop to the arch. Definitely worth it!
Amazing views!
Unique place, every photographer must visit it
It's so pretty what the heck
Quick hike and great views
Superb viewpoint in Canyon.
Beautiful, but busy spot
Short .6 minutes roundtrip hike with iconic arch in canyonland np that has great territorial vista view
Well worth the short hike.
Short hike with a breathtaking view. Delighted to get so close up to the arch.
Awesome place to catch sunrise. If you want pictures you have to get there a couple of hours before sunrise. Unfortunately there are times it draws rude photographers and they won't let you get a good shot of sunrise
Don't miss sunrise here. It's amazing
While not as impressive as some of the arches in Arches National Park, Mesa Arch blows away the competition when you take into account the unbelievably scenic background. If you are visiting Canyonlands National Park, the Mesa Arch is a must-see and well worth the short 10-minute hike to get to.
Fabulous!! Worth it!! I can tell sunrise here would be amazing, but the view in the middle of the day was spectacular!!
I mean wow. This place is incredible.
Beautiful and daunting. Don't get too close to the edge!
Easy to walk to. Great place to shoot stars and sunrise
The arch itself was cool, but it's difficult to feel moved by a landscape with so many others around. To optimize your experience, I'd recommend arriving very early or very late in the day (before 8 am or nearing dusk) to dodge the crowds. Off to the side, there are many lovely rocks to perch upon to get a view of the canyonlands below, which is really the most beautiful part of this short hike imo.
Breathtaking views, especially at sunrise!
Must do, a quick and easy walk!
This is a very popular spot and gets very crowded during the day. The place starts getting people about an hour or more before sunrise. I was there for the sunrise and it seemed like people from all over the US and the world had converged at this spot to take a picture from the same angle and with the same composition and at the same time like some sort of hive-minded entity. (I was one of them). Anyway parking is really difficult after 8/9 am so be prepared to park in weird places.
Was ready to fall onto us
God's creation beautiful!
Mesa Arch is a short and lovely loop hike that leads you past a small arch that overlooks an amazing view of canyons and rock towers and structures. You can get right up next to the arch, which is awesome (but please don't get on it, per park request). Anyone who goes into Canyonlands National Park should go on this trail. It takes less than an hour, if even 30 minutes, and is worth the time.
The senary is hard to beat. The sunrise is the best part of the hike.
Every bit as beautiful as you've seen in photos!
Majestic, breathtaking, and a must see! Easy hike for families with young kids. You won't forget the view.
Mannnn absolutely amazing. First time here but i have to come again.
Of the arches this one's just okay. There are much larger arches to see. Though this one does have a good view behind it
Short relatively easy hike to see an amazing natural arch. Once you get up there look over the edge, it's jaw dropping and awesome.
Nice hike. Short too.
Short hike that leads to great views PD the canyon below.
Great tourist destination! Stunning view!
The best places I've met to see the sun rise. You will shock by the landscape through the arches, and know exactly what the canyonlands this name's meaning.
This place looks fabulous in sunset! You don't have to aim to come here for sunrise. Being here for sunset, you have the arch and the view illuminated by the golden setting sun. And importantly, you don't have to trek in the dark and fight your view with dozens of photographers....
Beautiful hike and arch. Easy 1/2 mile hike but very crowded.
Easy trail, nice view through the arch. Worth the walk out to see. Trail has markers identifying the different vegetation along the way.
Nice trail to hike to get to the arch. Breathtaking view of the canyon once you get there. We will do it again, if we get time.
This is a Very Awesome Place, Beautiful, Panoramic and a view you will never forget. Early Sunrise is the best time to be here in my opinion, might be crowded and you may just come across some territorial photographers, But' other than that', it is a very scenic place you can enjoy. Easy trail but the parking may become limited depending on the time of day you go there.
Beautiful view and a quick 30 minute round trip to walk up and take some photos
It was amazing! Great views through the arch at several different angles! Takes about 10 minutes each way to walk for an average person. A must see!
A little crowded but able to get a shot with nobody standing in front. Short little hike from the car worth the stop.
Spectacular spot, short walk.
Nice short hike to beautiful Arch and lookout point. Absolutely gorgeous in the early morning with the arching glowing!
Taken at sunrise. Absolutely fantastic!
Really nice and easy hike. I recommend hiking it clockwise vs. Going straight up the hill... it's a bit longer but the trail is gentle and the views are stunning. Please stay on the trail... the biological soil crust can take 70 years to regrow...
Short hike to amazing views. It was a little busy at midday but all the people took turns so it was easy to get the pictures you wanted.
Great views. Short walk from the parking lot.
BEST view of sunrise. We got here around 5:40, it was only 15 mins walking form the parking lot to the top. Prepare the tripod or something can make your phone to stand longer. All the photographyers are waiting for the moment, so be ready for the spot which can get a good shoot. Good luck and enjoy the journey.
Short hike to the amazing view.
Beautiful but so crowded in the afternoon during September. It's easy so everyone does it.
Great view. Quite crowded in the AM. Plan to arrive at 5 AM for 6 AM sunrise. Close to sunrise it becomes a territorial battle between photographers
the mesa arch is one of the most photographic places in utah. people go he early just to get the best spot to wait for the sunrise. even in the dark it is a fun trail. the only thing sad about are stop here was i never used a camera before coming to utah and i wish i took some lesson to capture the arch. but i did meet a family from china and had a wonderful time sharing this moment with them. even tho only one of them knew english it didn't stop us from telling each other some great stories and how much we were in awe of god's creation. i think about them often. places like this i love not only for their beauty but they do bring people other. don't pass up one of the greatest places in utah.
Great place, just amazing. Not too crowded. Everyone helps each other out with taking photos. There are a couple picnic areas.
Fantastic view that is easy to get to from the parking lot.
Magical sunrise spot! The place is full of photographers 1 Hour before sunrise. Be in early if you want a good spot. The best photos are about 15 minutes before to 10 minutes after sunrise
Great spot to get out and take some pictures. Easy walk
This is the most beautiful arch I have seen, and I've seen many. It is a short hike to get to but it's up and down hill both ways. Amazing how you can see the scenery through it. I highly recommend
Don't miss this place at sunrise! The arch glows from underneath! So, so beautiful + #nature
Fun hike. Amazing to look thru the arch
Every one of the Mighty 5 National Parks is unique.
In a park known for canyons, it is definitely the canyons that offer the most spectacular views in this park. This particular arch is not that grand, IMO... there are far more spectacular arches to see. It's a short hike/walk to see this arch, so if you want to see this arch because of its fame, then definitely take a look; however if time is tight, I would recommend skipping and focus on more mind-blowing views (such as Grand View Point). It's a great arch, but in comparison to everything else in the area, this ranks low for me.
Beautiful views. A must see.
Easy hike and spectacular view. My favorite arch between Arches National Park and the rest of Canyonland.
Really nice hike. Not too difficult, I got through it while on crutches, but that made it a workout. Incredible view through the arch and easier to get to than a lot of arches within Arches NP.
Well worth the shot hike, beautiful.
Small hike and terrific views
Stunning view through the arch. But the arch itself does not look special if you don’t come around sunrise or sunset.
The most beautiful arch with a background that is so perfect with deep tones and shapes.
Wow. Awesome.
As beautiful as you would expect. Warning-- it can get crowded. Well worth it, however.
Can be hard to get a clear picture of just the arch, but it's still an amazing and beautiful view.
Blissful, quite, serene, nature if you associate with any of these words Plzz Plzz go here!!! You have to plan early morning hike to reach here. Best part is to feel sun rise. Make sure you step early as there are many enthusiasts like you and setting up right place for yourself and your camera could be tricky. Deep valley view is breathtaking. A must go if you visit utah
Easy hike, with some of the best sunrise views you will ever see!
Mesa Arch is 32-miles from Moab and is one of the biggest draws to this district of the park. Mesa Arch is a classic sunrise spot with the view down canyon and the La Sal Mountains behind it. It’s an uneven .07-mile trail down to the viewpoint with a 75-foot change in elevation, and farther to catch the sun under the arch. From the trailhead, the arch isn’t visible and it sits lower to the ground than I expected, because the ground drops away. Unbelievably, hikers are permitted to walk on top of Mesa Arch, but they do so at their own risk and should know that it can be very windy and one misstep could cause a 1,300-foot fall. The view looking through Mesa Arch at Buck Canyon is spectacular. The trail ends at the stone arch that spans 50 feet across the top of a 500-foot vertical cliff. Mesa Arch is classified as a pothole arch because it was formed by surface water that pooled on the sandstone behind the arch, slowly eroding the rock. The result is an arch that dangles across the mesa’s edge. I was awestruck by this arch, but I found the trail down to it a bit more difficult than I expected.
Beautiful anytime of day - sunrise is awesome. Easy to access from parking area. One of the most popular spots for photography.
Good view lots of people
Nice little hike out there. Great for Milky Way pictures and not too crowded at night. It was however very crowded around lunch time and we couldn't find a parking spot. We ended up coming back around 5 pm where there were less people there. A lot of people wants to get their pictures taken sitting inside the arch, but people are not very good at waiting in line for their turn - some just didn't have the curtisy to wait in line and ruined other peoples pictures, by not waiting their turn. Disappointing sunset, but sunrise is supposed to be amazing.
Part of Canyonlands. I love the Grand Canyon but this is equally as beautiful and amazing! Why isn't it as well known?!
The arch is really cool, but there is always so many people there.
Very nice scenery
Come early for Sunrise pictures, there will already be a line of photographers 15-30 minutes before sunset. Can still get some great pictures during and also after most leave 10-15min after sunrise
Amazing place to visit!!
