This Park belongs to the category of National park.
One of my favorite camping spots. The bathrooms have running water, the group sites have big pavilions that provide plenty of shade. The camp host was great.
Great place! If you like to road bike or Mt bike take the sheep Creek geological loop; few cars, great road ,good climb for aerobic exercise. Lots of forest roads to bike..
A favorite place of mine that has taken on a different meaning and place in my heart for each stage of my life. A lover of water but not so much the wind, I appreciate the location and number of roadways and trails that ultimately lead u down to the water that The Flaming Gorge offers. Found some not so known spots that will always be my favorite but I've no where near managed to get to even a fraction of them. Well maintained in comparison to other places I have visited. The rock formations in this area has always taken my breath away. In giving a review I recognize that my living so near by this has likely left me taking it for granted to some degree. I do feel it worth the drive to take the whole trail in for a nice day drive. I only just did a full loop around for my very first time recently and it definately renewed my love of the area that much more. Stopped to check out the actual dam and seen so many areas throughout the day thst I will need to return to explore by foot when the weather improves some. Have been lucky enough to see the lake by boat a number of times as well. Never disappoints.
This place is so beautiful. Perfect for a boating and camping trip. It's very clean, we need to keep it that way
Totally out of this world. So lucky to live near places like this.
Great place, beautiful.
Nice place to visit in the Spring. Rent-a-boats are available. You can get tours of the dam there. Fish are nice.
Beautiful area. Good for fishing and camping. Lots of trails around. Make sure you are prepared, supplies wise, there isn't much at the closest gas stations. Saw a group of big horned sheep. That was awesome! Right next to the red rim campground.
One of my favorite camping spots. The bathrooms have running water, the group sites have big pavilions that provide plenty of shade. The camp host was great.
Beautiful lake, huge campground at Lucerne. Can camp on the beach for $12.00
So much fun at Flaming Gorge! The water is warm and clear so you can swim for hours! Great place to camp and play on the lake.
Very scenic with the reservoir!
This is such a beautiful place. I love it. Watching the sun come up from the Sheep Creek Overlook is quite the experience.
Beautiful camping spot. There's a few bathrooms around the area too which I definitely appreciate
What a wonderful place to spend time with your family........or just a fishing buddy, fishing the greatest fisheries in the country.
Beautiful views, great fishing, and some exciting rafting on the Green River. I would spend at least three days here, there’s so much to see and do. For rafting go with a friend (2 cars) so that you can shuttle the rafts and not pay an exorbitant fee for someone else to do it.
I love camping up in Flaming Gorge. I've stayed in mustang ridge the most and it is a very well maintained campground. The water is cold enough to be refreshing but not cold enough to be uncomfortable. I brought up kayaks and it's really fun to paddle around the coves and along the cliffs. The beach is always fun and there are great cliffs to jump in mustang ridge.
Phenomenal views.
Flaming gorge holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I got married over looking the gorge. We go fishing all the time. The kids have a blast on the tubes. Best family get away!
Great place! If you like to road bike or Mt bike take the sheep Creek geological loop; few cars, great road ,good climb for aerobic exercise. Lots of forest roads to bike..
It was absolutely Beautiful, even got rained on a couple of times. The fishing wasn't kind too me but had a great time Thanks to DANNY JOE and KEVIN KNIGHT
Great place to boat and fish or just relax and take in the sites
This is an awesome place! Mother nature at it's finest. The view is breathtaking, of the Gorge itself and the valleys and streams around it. As a portly man, I also appreciated that you can drive right up to the main attraction, no funny business. In the summer the visitors center is open and they have a bunch of cool informative displays and tours. Still good in the winter, but cold!
We have been having an amazing time on the Lake. The fishing is great.
Caught a variety of fish. Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful and so many recreational opportunities.
This was a great hidden gem of a place. Flaming gorge has a dam that you can learn more about. They also have two areas of either side of the dam to look at. This is a must see place if you're traveling through the area. Will definitely go again.
Gorgeous ❤️
Love this place. Go on the 4th of July and enjoy the fireworks I. Dutch John.
A nice place to go camping with beautiful views.
Don't miss the Sheep Creek Geological Loop-take at least an hour or maybe two to stop several times especially in the canyon with interesting rock formations and creek. On the way out if you do a clockwise loop is a small private Yak farm, and if you have a friend that asks "What kind of cows are those?" like our dear friend Andy from Illinois did, then you can tease them mercilessly for the rest of the day about that.
Awesome lake we loved it
float the Green it's amazing
First time we took the flaming gorge scenic route off I80. It was very boring and not much to see. Take 191 instead it was beautiful alot of blm land you can pull off go to the water there are beaches and camping spots. We seen some campers with there own private beach.. Then there is a reservoir with a awesome views and picnic areas.
Love the lake today! Happy 4th
OMG What an absolutely beautiful place to spend time with your family!!!
This place is lake Powell jr. Always a good time fishing, cliff jumping and any other water sport.
Everyone is so friendly at this lake, grew up going here. Sheep's creek dock is great if you have a boat and are tent camping! You don't have to drive as long to get to the lake, and it's not crowded, even on labor day weekend. It was not stressful at all unloading and loading. We've always used lucerne valley but this dock is a lot less busy. The only thing is you are out of luck if you didn't bring enough booze or smokes. The marina no longer sells that except for 3.2 beer. There is a place 3 miles from the marina but if you don't have a car you might have a problem. Stock up before!
I always love to visit here. Awesome recreational place.
Love to take long drives. It was beautiful
Very beautiful and fun place
Gorgeous one of my favorite spots on earth
Pretty steep downgrades in this area, but spectacular scenery!
One of the most beautiful lakes to fish, Utah and Wyoming side.
First time there an I loved it ,hot but very nice place to go
Swim Beach is so fun
Fantastic!! Lots of antelopes in our campsite. Beautiful beyond belief great internet. Loved it! Will be back!
breathtaking stayed 2 days wished i stayed longer not far from i 80 i paid 20 dollars for two nights woke up first morning and the sunrise blew me away nice campground on lake
Incredible place. Views are spectacular.
Very relaxing. And good fishing!
Fantastic time on the water during the Ducks Unlimited fishing derby. The fishing was slow but we were not at work, so no complaints
This is my most favorite place to be
Very windy but great water very clean
Breathtaking views! The entire park is easily accessible. Walking paths that are handicap friendly❤️ Pack a picnic, you will want to stay all day.
Great food just be in for a wait.
My favorite place to camp. Beautiful views and clean sites. The water rafting is so much fun and the views/sites are amazing.
It was a nice peaceful few days but had some horrible wind one of them
It's hard to beat the sparsely populated area for fishing camping and boating. If you like to disperse Camp there is plenty of opportunity in Ashley National Forest. You can also find places in Wyoming along the water that are free. Every trout fisherman needs to fish below the dam at Flaming Gorge.
Beautiful area to visit! Fun for the whole family and adventures you wont forget.
Beautiful reservoir. Flaming Gorge is large enough for many people to explore different parts of it with all sorts of means of camping. Whether you want to bring a camper or an RV or bring the little fishing boat or the family yacht there's places for everyone to enjoy the reservoir. The occasional afternoon thunderstorm and wind can dampen the fun but if you enjoy nature there's plenty of beautiful sights to enjoy. Oh and there's some big fish too.
Absolutely breathtaking! I love this area and everything it has to offer.
Love the area great place for pictures
Such a breathtaking place! A lovely place to visit
A lot of fun great place for family
It's beautiful, peaceful and full of wild life.
Amazing park lots of camping no problem getting around gorge with larger 5r
I enjoy the scenery it is beautiful. ..
Beautiful scenery made up for a lack of places to eat. Flaming Gorge Resort Resturant needs to sort out their priorities and seat guests that had been waiting almost an hour, then to serve / wait on Forest Ranger cadets who just walked in and sat down.
Beautiful drive!!! Nature at its finest!! I love to just drive with no particular place to go!!! Can see beautiful sights, bodies of water, go four-wheelin' and have a blast!!! Some of the terrain made me glad I had a seat belt on!!! Absolutely loved my day!!! Great memories!!!
Great place good tourist area lota to see
Beautiful landscape! Very windy road so drive carefully!
Absolutely stunning! Stayed the night and woke up to bighorn sheep in camp. I ended up seeing elk, moose, deer, and a bunch of other little critters on my hike. Cant wait to be back!
Very beautiful and great fishing and camping areas.
It's a big dam reservoir!
I keep my boat here all summer. And hunt here in the fall. If you like being out in the woods, there's no better place.
You can't beat the Flaming Gorge for any water activities.
Scenery is over the top.
Great fishing, friendly people, without the excessive crowds
Superb scenic highway, Rock Springs WY south to Flaming Gorge on US 191. Went there in early winter, morning after first snowfall. Road was clear by 9am and we got to experience this great drive south.
Best day, ever having my Daughter my cousin here from Louisiana, Hugh Thank you to my Friend for making it all happen...
Great washrooms. Lots of parking. Interesting history boards.
The gorge is always a blast! There is so much to do from fishing, boating, swimming, eating and just enjoying the mountains. Be safe out there!
Fishing nice and quiet. Absolutely beautiful
South end is the best. The rest not so much.
One of the most amazing places I have ever been. Remote camping galore. Bring your own water and a respect for the land. The people in the visitor center sent us to the most beautiful spot. Genuinely and without any kind of weirdness. True authenticity. But be prepared
We didn't get a chance to spend any time in the area (we will be back). We did have the opportunity to drive by and through on our way South. Highly recommend at least driving through even if you can't spend time here.
This is relaxing at it's finest.

Great place to catch Kokanee salmon, lake trout, and bass!!!
Beautiful, endless areas to recreate. Fishing, boating, hiking, camping. I can't recommend it enough, I loved it.
So much natural beauty... even better than the Grand Canyon!
Good water, big wakes, big air, here fishy fishy.
Beautiful area take some of the roads if you aren't pushed for time.
Best place to spend a summer weekend! Absolutely stunning landscape and great for water recreational toys. The stars are incredible!
I loved to go kayaking, swimming, and fishing on the lake!
Love this place! So beautiful and the fishing on the Green River and Flaming Gorge Reservoir is some of the best in the western US.
We didn't get a chance to spend any time in the area (we will be back). We did have the opportunity to drive by and through on our way South. Highly recommend at least driving through even if you can't spend time here.
Huge reservoir with amazing views and great campsites!!!
Love this place can't wait to go again
Really fun and beautiful place. Saw a snake before we even made it to the water! We went there to let the kids collect some rocks and they weren't disappointed. Found one fossil and a lot of cool rocks.
We ended up driving this pass by accident and it ended up to be a great adventure!
Beautiful and not a ton of people. The water is slightly cold but it’s worth it!
Absolutely beautiful, even the views during the drive are phenomenal.
My mini lake Powell love coming here twice a year.
Love ice fishing here during the winter, it's never a disappointment. Glad the burbot numbers are starting to go down too, I've been getting more rainbows and lake trout this year :)!
I love Flaming Gorge. My family has a cabin in the area and it's just the best place to camp, fish, go boating, go four wheeling, and all sorts of other adventures. It's just so much fun.
Beautiful Views and visitor's center.
Beautiful spot! Dont muss the river at the bottom of the dam!
Great 3 day fishing trip a lot of
Boating, fishing, hiking, biking-- one of Utah's outdoor meccas. We went fishing with a guide and had a great time. If I had one thing to change I would have focused on Lake Trout as I would love to catch a 30lb lunker. That said, kids caught trout and small mouth and made a good memory.
I went jet asking on a part of the lake was so much fun and it is a huge lake
Very scenic from the "FLAMING GORGE" to the dam
Had to keep heading north but I made a personal dedication to return and explore.
This is My favorite place to go to in utah yall! I don't even know where to start! They have a wide selection of all kinds of different camp grounds for what ever your specific needs may be. They offer showers at some as well as hook ups/group spots /doubles/single etc. The scenery Is absolutely breathtaking and the wildlife is so awesome it's unreal. Top notch boating. Epic fishery. Add on the green river and all the fun that has to offer and you have yourself a dream folks! If you haven't been here you simply must! And if you have well then yall know what I'm talking bout! Love the gorge baby!
Many things to do & see, beautiful!
Best place to get relaxed and wash the worries away
Our experience this yr was awesome... Definite fishing weather for sure during this 4th of July weekend.
Beautiful. Damn has very professional security and knowledgeable staff.
Such a beautiful place and very family frentdly
Some of the best fishing anywhere.
This place was amazing
One of the best nation recreational areas! A little something for everyone! Love love love it!
Just stunning geology! Gorgeous! This area has a great diversity of outdoors rec opportunities. It is a must see.
Have been coming here every Labor day weekend for years and years! We decided Flaming Gorge is probably our favorite body of water! We always have so much fun! And the area is beautiful!!
Tremendous Scenery, Riding the George was a wonderful experience!!!
Absolutely amazing.
If they dont have it you dont need it!!!!!!!!!
This was a beautiful place to ride around.
Very cool spot, definitely worth the detour off of I-80
Fishing was great, the catching not so much.
Breathtaking views and a great drive
Really beautiful. We enjoyed an incredible sunset camping and hiked the next day.
Absolutely had a blast camping in the camp sites. Well maintained bathrooms in the campsite. Fun things to do at the Flaming Gorge recreational areas. Love going inside the damn, experiencing the site's I saw.
Great place to go boating g, fishing, and doing water sports.camping can also be great.
It was beautiful, the young men in our ward loved it! We toured the dam and rafted the green river! It was a great workout paddling in the river, I was sore for days! We rented our rafts, lifejackets, &paddles from Dutch John, and stayed in the fire fighters memorial camp ground!
This has got to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. There are a lot of spots you'll want to check out here, so plan your trip. But rest assured, the views are spectacular! There are a hanful of small businesses around the area, providing the essentials, so it's not the end of the world if you didn't pack as much as you thought you did. One thing you'd better remember to bring with you, though, is your camera!
This is an amazing lake with amazing views. I would reccomend trolling the bend and going up towards the dam for the best views. There is also plenty of little canyons and hideaways to tie up and enjoy the day with friends. The water can be quite chilly early in the year but on a sunny day feels good. Be aware that thunderstorms in the afternoon can be regular.
Amazing place for boating and camping. The canyons near the dam is awe-inspiring with its giant walls, red rocks and forest. It is much prettier than the northern part of the Green River near Wyoming.
Great fishing and camping spot!!
Always such a peaceful place to be. Clean and beautiful environment.
Amazing place for boating!
It is an amazing lake with beauty all around.
A great place for boating and fishing
Love the lake, great fishing & Buckboard boat ramp is well maintained.
I love this lake. Fishing for small mouth and rainbows was excellent. Water temp perfect as always, and for the first time in a long time, stayed a week with no storms or rain. We stay at Mustang Ridge, each year something different with the wildlife. This year was the first year I have heard cicadas like this. Tons of them. Also I saw more snakes around the area then I have in recent years. Had one bear in camp that drug away a cooler. Worst thing about Mustang Ridge area is Sunny Cove. They put in a parking lot a few years ago, and a lot of people come up for the day and have no boundaries. Kids playing with your kayaks, pulling up your anchors, etc. We came down to the water one day and found our frame for our canopy being used as someone's clothes line. This was a hidden gem but it is no more. Camp hosts are normally great here, the ones this year were great. I like that he has a US flag and his Army flag up as you enter camp, nothing says Merica like Flaming Gorge.

I loved the thickness of the foliage and how vibrantly green it was this summer. And the abundance of wildlife is incredible.

Absolutely beautiful. Although it was hazy when we were there still breathtaking. Lois and Dave volunteers at the information center were knowledgeable and just a joy to talk to. Helpful information. Thank you for a great experience visiting the Flaming Gorge.
Great for boating and fishing. Alot of campsites
My favorite place by far! Not only is it gorgeous, the fishing is awesome!! This place is my sanctuary!!!
Peace and quiet. Beautiful place and great weather
This place is amazing I suggest go there. There are fun tours and also it's fun for the family! Thank you Flaming George.
Sunny cove was amazing!
Around every bend is an amazing new view
A beautiful place to see and camp.
Nice secluded peaceful area. No cell service so those distractions are a non issue as well!
It was so beautiful
The water is nice and camping was fun
Hidden gem with great curvy drive!
Great place for a family. Would stop here again. Would recommend to anyone passing through the area. Food was pricey and not to good but it's a tourist attraction. My kids loved it.
Amazing experience please go out and check it out !
Amazing. Clean, good roads, interesting signs that provide info. Breathtaking views. They are doing something right here.
Breathtaking beauty, great hiking and fun climbing activities. Awesome recreational excursions.
Totally worth a visit. If you're lucky enough to get a tour definitely don't miss it. If you don't get to tour then don't miss the very informative visitors centre with lovely staff. Free entrance and parking. The surrounding area is amazing too. Fantastic landscape with loads to do such as camping, fishing, hiking etc.

Always beautiful, cool water, great time
Simply amazing!
I've been coming to Flaming Gorge ever since I can remember and it's always been my favorite place to spend free time and just relax. The forest and mountains surrounding Flaming Gorge are the best and by far my favorite I've ever visited, and there's such a healthy population of wildlife here and if you want a great little road to drive you should try going and seeing the Sweat Ranch it's a historic site and the loop that you drive on is awesome. You'll usually always see deer there pretty much everywhere up here. There's a growing population of elk, but they are harder to spot but they're there you just need to keep your eyes posted. I've seen some of the biggest Moose I've ever seen up here as well and you'll spot them sometimes in places you'd never expect to find them. This place is also world renowned for its fishing! So if you're someone who enjoys the outdoors and seeing beautiful untouched wilderness then you must make time and plan a trip out to Flaming Gorge! There's also multiple lodges near the reservoir where you can rent a raft to take down the green river and it's the perfect level of difficulty where almost all children of any age can safely float it and enjoy themselves. Hands down my favorite vacation spot and I'd pick Flaming Gorge over anywhere else I've ever been so if you've been thinking about going then you should go and I know that you won't regret it!
Amazing place for boating and camping. The canyons near the dam is awe-inspiring with its giant walls, red rocks and forest. It is much prettier than the northern part of the Green River near Wyoming.
Many possibilies within the area, walking around or put your boat into the water. The views at the lakeside are amazing :)
Just love spending time at the Gorge!
I was raised in Dutch John, UT right in the National Recreation Area. To me it is the most wonderful place on Earth. The community is family to one another and no the scenery and outdoor opportunities can't be beat. The fishing is world class on the river especially, but the lake too. And the amount and variety of wildlife that I've seen there is something most people could only dream of. For scenery, for camping, for fishing, for swimming, etc, there are so many gems right around the Flaming Gorge. And they have the cutest little church there on Sunday mornings at 11- they love visitors!
Absolutely amazing place. So peaceful and beautiful. The Lucerna Marina is absolutely amazing with amazing people.
