Such an amazing water park. 100 times better than Hurricane Harbor!

Luisa Arana

My family and I went during our weekend trip. My son had so much fun playing and wants to come back next year. Food is expensive, so if you are on a budget, we recommend you bring a cooler with food and drinks. They do not allow alcohol and glass in the premises. The staff was very friendly!

Jocee Worley

Some rides are better than others as far as wait time versus ride time. One of the rivers took off one of my nails because it has a machine belt that carries you and my hand got caught. No one warned me!

jessica castillo

I'm planning on taking my son out there this weekend, it's going to be our first time at the park. Any tips on what we should bring? Food if food is allowed. Any Suggestions would be great. Thank you.

Wendy Carter Peters

I like playing in the water. Staff is always very friendly. Water was cool and clean. Love the fact that parking is free with a free tram and I can take an ice chest with my own drinks and food. Prices are reasonable.

Marco La Porta

Fun place for the family. Way too busy from end of May through mid August.

Jesse Edwards

The food was good, the rides were fun. The only complaint was the time I spent in lines, with patience that was NOT an issue as the rides are long and fun. I highly recommend a trip to Schlitterbahn.

Chris Perry

I used to LOVE Schlitterbahn. But their workers are so slow. They have plenty of workers and plenty of tubes and yet they still kept the lines over an hour wait while they just stood and talked. My kids enjoyed themselves but only got 2 ride 2 rides during our 6 hour visit.

Had a great time! I’m glad they let us take in our cooler so we could picnic there. Water rides were fun. Funnel cake with ice cream was delicious. Wave pool was amazing and the lazy river ride with water/ tube/person elevator was fun! Tons of picnic areas in the shade.

Water was very refreshing and lines for the rides were not to bad. Wave pool was extra awesome. Will be going back again soon. My family ❤️ and I had a great time

Its alright in the original park , is fun just make sure y'all read the signs before you go up 6 stories to the master blaster ,(but black night ,and wolf pack their are weight limits ), I asked awhile back on a review about weight limit and no one said it had one or had scales , to weigh , people. I was able to ride the wolf pack with my husband , next day we went up on the master blaster standing in line for 30 min and it was hot and even though I had lost weight it still & so if your planning to ride with someone and your overweight you need to check the signs I failed to do so and got really embarrassed in front of a lot of people . and my husband wouldn't ride anything unless I could ride , the girl wasn't very nice even though I no she was doing her job and it was safety issue , it was my fault I didn't read the signs .I just assumed since I got to ride the wolf pack I was going to be able to ride the rest . just thought y'all should know but my over all review .still stand at 5 stars because it is a very fun park and I haven't been to the surfenberg yet .

Awesome park well designed we went on a Tuesday in July and there was a lot of people but it never felt crowded. Tons of rides for all ages. The staff was friendly. Worth the 50$ a person. I would suggest 2 or 3 days to see it all.

We've been coming here for a few years now with season passes. It's always been a pretty good time and the kids always enjoy it. The park could certainly use some updating but I understand that would be quite expensive and would certainly take some time and the park probably has that planned in the future. My only real issue is with some things that seemed to change this summer. The lines seem to be moving slower then they had in the past. The rivers are getting big pile ups and it has not been worth the trouble to get in and out, find tubes and 'The Falls' having empty tubes galore which end up on top of you when pile ups occur but the staff keep pushing the empty tubes back in the river. The big thing for me was in the original park (the raging river) the life guards were in different locations as well causing big pile ups in very dangerous spots. Twice I went under people and their tubes and could barely stand up to get out from underneath them. I would hate for a child to get caught and pinned underwater. It just could have gone really badly. As much as we have enjoyed this place I think this will be our last year for season passes.

Mark Rodenhauser

The combination of the style of rides and play areas from both old and new sides of the park is unmatched. The whole city and surrounding waterways are fun to get out to, but I highly recommend staying somewhere on the resort to make the most of your time and money.

Ambrosia Davis

Always a fun experience. The staff are helpful, cheerful and pleasant. Love that parking is free and coolers for food & drink are accepted (NO GLASS!). Lots of fun!

Danielle Omo

Such a great park! They have one park/area that is more adventurous with challenging rides, and then another park that is calmer and more relaxing. Great for everyone in the family.

Ryan Tokarski

I used to go here as a kid. Its gotten 8x bigger. We spent all day here and only did half of the park. There is 2 sides east and west, a tram will take you from one to another. Get the drink cups, worth it. Pass on the photo people. I never even went to look at their pix. If you wear glasses get the water straps. Hold on to your hat! You can bring coolers in, They will be searched . you can also go to the car anytime. Just show the wristband for re entry.

Kevin Clark

We had a great time going on a Monday. Lines were short. Rides were fun. Plenty of life guards. Lockers were expensive. Waffle fries were good and the all you drink bottle was a good value. Staff were friendly. Overall we had a great time. Just expensive for a family of 5.

Eric Epperly

The absolute best water park!! So many different rides for people of all ages. So family friendly from free parking to encouraging you to bring your own ice chest. The friendly staff of any park I've ever been to. You could literally spend a week here and not be bored.

Kiley Rayah

extremely rude staff today. slapped my hand to separate me and my dad instead of asking us to let go, and then when they weighed my dad to get in the master blaster they were laughing at him and said that fat people cant ride after we waited for 1 hour. my dad is 6’5 and weighs 240. he isn’t that fat he’s just big so they should not of been laughing. and as of now i have food poisoning from a burger, also i stayed at the resort and i had on my wristband from yesterday too and they kept stopping me to make sure i had on my new one to, which i did. overall very rude staff and i just want a refund to be honest at this point. not friendly.

Lisa Guzman

The waitress for the Cabana Lagoon was very nice and helpful since it was our first time. The line for the rides are pretty long wait time is at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Awesome rides all worth the wait.

Had a great time, and such a beautiful place! Staff is friendly, but the rooms could use some updating. We will definitely be back, it really is worlds best waterpark.

Yvonne Rocha

It truly is the best waterpark in Texas ever for ALL ages! Free parking free shuttle buses to their parks and shower facilities available before you go home. You can bring your own ice chest full of drinks and food - no glass or alcohol. You can purchase Adult drinks in the park. They have a few swim up bars and the frozen Adult drinks are delicious! Plenty of great fun water rides for all ages. Rides ranging from high intensity to just relaxing and then you have your awesome kiddie pool areas that will surely wear the little ones out while they have a blast on water slides and neat boats or octopus they can climb into and play. Highly recommended for everyone of all ages.

Audra Tyler

Enjoyed another visit with my kids. Lots of fun for all ages. Laid back family atmosphere. Allowed to bring a cooler and picnic. Clean and well maintained.

marlyn cooper

Huge park!!! There is a east and west getting to each side by bus so be aware! But it is a wonderful time . Pretty sure we didnt ride all rides but will come back during a weekday.. shorter lines

Tyler Brooks

I love the original park tube chutes, they are really fun and so original compared to any normal water park. This is the best way to beat the Texas heat. It can get crowded here but the last 2 hours before closeing a lot of rides can be walked on

Phoenix Ng

Had an amazing time with my husband! Awesome rides and wait times weren't all that bad. Definitely coming back again!

Just came by on a Saturday near the end of the 2019 season. I came with a total of 8 people and because all the parking lots were full when we arrived, we decided to purchase a cabana since it includes preferred parking (which is $25 when purchased separately). We arrived at noon and they only had one cashier at the front ticket area. The line was building up and the cashier was rushing us as we were trying to make the purchase and get some clarification on what's included with the cabana rental. The cabana is supposed to include the preferred parking, a locker, electric outlet, ceiling fan and wait staff. Well we rent the cabana at the older side of the park and it looked more like the neglected side. These are not the cabanas that they advertise with the t.v and bbq pit, I'm assuming these are on the newer side. So we park in preferred parking which is across the main entrance and then we walk inside to the cabana. The entire time that we hung out at the cabana, we never saw any waitstaff. Initially we were confused because we were waiting on someone to arrive to give us a locker key. We wait for 15 minutes and then head back to the main entrance and wait in line again because there's still only one cashier and a long line and then the same guy gives us the key to the locker. So now it's been about 45 minutes when we finally get back to the cabana with the locker key and still not one employee has been seen in or around the cabana area. So much for having "wait staff". The ceiling fan was also not operating properly and we did not want to go back and wait in the line again just to tell them that so we just hung around there with a slow moving fan during a hot Texas day! Other then the cabana making us feel like we were ripped off, we still had a decent time at the park. A few of the lazy river rides were out of tubes and we had to wait for people to get out which was a bummer, but the lines to the slides were short. We have season passes so we are bound to be back. But before we left during this visit, we asked to speak with a manager to try to get some future credit back due to the issues with the cabana and we were given a 1-800 number to call and leave our feedback on a survey, so much for having any customer service there!

Jacquelyne Garcia-Hernandez

Such a fun location. There’s even a ride that leads straight into the San Marcos River. Definitely prefer this location to the SPI one. Also really love the swim up bars.

Julissa Sanchez

The hype is true, this place is AWESOME. I love all the attractions. I always have the best time and most fun at Schlitterbahn!

Jerreca Leyva

Great place to swim and have a blast! Super pricy souvenirs as to be expected. Friendly and helpful staff only one mishap when the priority of the rules contradicted the safety of a child with our group. (Only one person per tube) other then that it was a great vacation!

Becca Perry

Best water park I've ever been to!!!! So much fun with the whole family. The park is huge, you need 2 days to enjoy everything. We absolutely loved our visit.

Alexander Stevens

Great place, fun rides. Park is in two locations but the free bus ride between the two is only about 5 mins and the buses are constantly running. Food was pretty good, about $10 a plate for your standard cheese burger or chicken fingers. I went on a weekday and the lines were pretty quick 15 to 30 minutes each.

Easter Cooley

Free Train to other park was broke down and we waited about an hour before we got into start enjoying ourselves. Then on ride (Wolfpack) we waited 2 hrs not because people in line. They had us waiting in tubes and then it was shut down for about 25 minutes for some reason. Waisted my precious time with family and fell like our money was taken for granted. Held hostage kinda.

Eric Epperly

Marcos Martinez

Wow this is an awesome place to relax and have fun for family and friends. I bought a season pass for my family it paid it self off in three visits. It takes three visit to see the whole park. Lots of fun water rides and you can bring in your own food! Awesome!

Jessica Wilson-Puerta

We had so much fun! We will try to make it a 3 day visit next time. One day isn't nearly enough to see and ride everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rides looked well maintained and clean. The food was good. You just need more than one day to really enjoy.

Austin Dollahan

So much fun, I remember coming here as a kid and I was finally able to bring my Wife here for the first time. We had an absolute amazing time! I highly recommend coming here at least once, just make sure you visit both parks!!

Jessa Wilson

This place was AWESOME! We had so much fun! You really need 2, 3, or even 4 days to really see and ride everything. If you love being in the water you will love it here too!! We are going to try to make it a yearly destination.

john hamilton

Couldn't get enough of the water park.. traveling back and forth on the shuttle was even fun. it was the best time of our whole vacation

Dorothea Bischof

Had a vinyl is time with my family and my two grandkids. Got a package deal with food and drinks it was a lot of fun. A great getaway and enjoying yourself In the heat of the day.

abigail alonso

I had a wonderful experience here! The rides and pool were so much fun. They would ask us how we were doing, a man that was working there would come and take pictures with us. He was really helpful. We didn’t know we couldn’t take glass & we had a pickle jar, we thought we had to throw them away but they gave us foam cups with lids to put our pickles... that was really nice of them. Hopefully I will be going back soon!

Mozenko-Peterson Family

Have always loved the old river side of the park, it just has so much personality, and I appreciate the natural water, the thrill of the chill, being able to bring a picnic lunch and enjoying the shade trees. I know the ownership has changed, but I sure hope they don't mess with a winning formula!

Elizabeth Potter

We had an amazing time.. great family fun. And the bonus we got to bring the ice chest was super awesome with the family that we brought.. and nobody bothered any of our things while we went and had fun.. had a great time can't wait to go back

Teke Lusk

My family and I had a great time! We got there pretty early paid for the preferred parking (worth it) and waited a few minutes for the doors to open and got right in. We went straight to find a table and buy a locker (worth it) and put on sun screen and got ready to go in the water rides. We got to ride the first four or five pretty quickly and they were fun.

Wave pool side is the best I would have rated this a 5 but the castle side was disgusting it smelled awful there was moldy water right as you walked in by the slides. Other than that it was a great time! We enjoyed our visit!

Heather Guyll

This place is so fun! Worth every penny! I wish the lines weren't so long but that's with every park.

edward saiz

Always a blast but definitely noticed the holiday crowd. Wish they would define the lines better on the rides and the trams as the current set up allows for folks to cut in easily.

Tanya Brown

What can I say that could be more positive than "I loved it!"? Almost nothing right? The original park is so much fun! Spread out with lots of walking but I LOVE the fact that the rides are river fed water. No chemicals! I can play all day and not get burned because there aren't any chemicals in the water. It feels amazing on the skin too. My favorite thing to do at the end of the day is go on the Hillside tube chute. It's so relaxing and just beautiful and fun! Do keep in mind that the ground is super hot so you should probably invest in water shoes, although some rides don't allow them and you have to hold them. Keep your glasses on a necklace. I can't tell you how any pairs I see people lose. If you do lose something, talk to lost and found. If they find it and you can't pick it up, they sometimes will mail it to you. Food is expensive as with any park. But you can bring in your own coolers just no glass or alcohol. They check all bags and coolers before you can get in.

So much fun! It's great if you have kids, but even those of us that don't can still have a lot of fun. They let you bring your own food so it doesn't have to be an insanely expensive experience unless you want it to. It's definitely a quintessential part of South Texas summer.

Mark Nau

Fun for all ages! Free parking and ability to bring your own food and drinks (no glass and no outside alcohol) make this a bargain way to thrill the whole family

Ash Winter

Worth the price. You need a whole day for both sides of the park. Bring a cooler and snacks!

Hawaiian Hippie

So this is the weirdest water park I've ever been to. A lot of the slides aren't your typical tube slides. Lots of rapid, lazy rivers and such. The West side of the park is....dated, but still very fun. A few of the slides there look like they could use a scrub down from the grime buildup or whatnot. The East side is the newer side of the park and it definitely shows. The facilities look new and cleaner and the rides lack the grime buildup that the west side has. All in all, a fun time and I'll be back for sure.

Ketera Sellers

Lines were long as hell, but it was worth it. This is by far the best water park we have visited. We will be visiting this water park again in the near future. I do recommend this park to others. This water park is kid friendly and senior friendly. They have rides for all age groups. If you want a day of fun in the sun stop by Schlitterbahn Water park.

Shavonne Taylor

Took our 4 boys before school started back and we stayed at the park all day. Plenty to do and the lines move fast

Patrick Gibson

Fun waterpark. Lots of rides and pools. Two parks in one here in Texas. Shuttling between parks is quick and convenient. Lots of tables and chairs in the shade and plenty of food and drink choices. You can even bring your own food, just no glass or alcohol. We had to remember to take breaks to eat and drink as we were having so much fun. Left tired and happy.

Samantha Umanzor

Had a blast! Loved the river side of the water park! Wasn't to busy and lines weren't very long!

Raziel Scott

The west park was more enjoyable due to there being less people, we walked around almost 3 hours at the east park trying to get on a ride and directions but got neither. West park was the redeeming quality for this place on our trip.

Sabine Mardarenko

There is 2 parks. First one have about 3-4 hour wait for one slide so we didn't even bother wasting our time there, but second park is even better with same kind or better slides and no much lines at all max 20 min and so fun we spend all day there.

zaairio guzman

Family and I went there to enjoy a day of water, I had been debating about renting one of those cabanas that they advertise so much; after a day in the park and seeing all the rodent entry points around all those cabanas, I made up my mind. I will not be staying in at all. We were able to enjoy seeing a family of opossum climbing around the trees. Visiting the park was ok, food was terrible.

Amy New

Best waterpark in Texas! It’s a wonderful environment. The rides are all great, and the water is natural from the river, so you don’t leave smelling like chlorine. There is a good amount of tree shade which makes walking around enjoyable and not too hot! The turkey legs are also phenomenal.

You'd better have good health insurance. On June 29, my 14yo son (visiting from AZ) was rushed to the San Antonio Children's Hospital because he was catatonic, non-responsive and having seizures. He had been battling a fever and vomiting since visiting this water park 2 days prior. He was admitted and spent the next 4 days in the ICU in critical condition. He arrived at the hospital close to death and all the doctors were extremely worried about his condition. Finally, after the cultures grew and my son responded to medicine... the doctors were able to isolate the cause of his septic condition. He had bacteria in his bloodstream, water-loving bacteria that was only found in rivers and lakes. The only place he could have gotten this... was... this water park. The doctors reported their findings to the health department in San Antonio. My son has since recovered. It was the scariest 2 weeks of our lives watching him fight for HIS life. Clearly, this doesn't happen to most people who visit this park. This is only our family's experience. The bills have started rolling in. They are about $80k at this point... Not sure if we'll need to pay $5k or $40k... it depends on who's in UHC network. In my opinion, I'm glad that we have insurance. Sorry for being a bummer... wanted to let others know. 7-30-19 Follow up: I contacted the 'team' as requested below by the owner, and provided the hospital's info. I'm not sure what you guys want to 'talk' about.... I'm drawing a blank.

Most fun I've had in years! A great place to take the family. Not very crowded on the Wednesday. We were able to do everything we wanted to without any real long waits in line. The staff everywhere was spot-on. They were all helpful and extremely courteous. it was fantastic to see the amount of security that was there.

Phoebe O

This is a great family waterpark. Be ready to face big crowds, though! Every time I’ve been there, we’ve gone on only one of the BIG water slides, since you can stand in line for two hours just to take one ride! For our elementary and middle school aged kids, there are a lot of other things to do.

Rosie

This place is so much fun and definitely family friendly. You can take your own cooler with food and non-alcoholic drinks. They sell food and alcoholic drinks there. They have 2 sections that you get taken to and from both sides. If you forgot something they have little shops.

Danette Crouch

I went on line to purchase season tickets. Then I called their New Braunfels office, and they told me the tickets were cheaper when purchased at the gate. This turned out to be untrue. When I got to the gate, I had to pay a lot more. They would not give me the price advertised on line. The total disregard I received at the ticket booth and by management was so disappointing. If my grandchildren had not been desperately wanting to go, I would have left and never came back. They could not have cared less!

Gustavo Ayala

First time coming here, definitely not the last. Will be recommending to all of my friends and family. Very friendly staff made our visit even better

Miriam Hernandez

We had so much fun. They have free parking and you can take in a cooler with food and drinks.. The entrance is a little pricey, but is pretty fun!

nerubian77

It's hard to even begin with how fun this water park is. I'm a massive fan of the old park the water feels nice it's covered with trees and feels cooler. It is generally a very lazy laid-back attitude which is very enjoyable on a hot day. The new part personally is fun for the Black Knight The Lazy River and the tidal pool.

Roxy Beaudet

Very fun water park with a bunch of ride options for all thrill levels. We went in the middle of the week but it was still busy. Only thing was that it was kind of confusing to navigate around. Especially the original part. Signage could be better or at least having some information booths better scattered to point people to tube pick up spots or ride entry points. We had to do way too much back and fourth.

Frank Adkins

Excellent experience. I lost my Samsung Watch that had fallen out of my locker. I filed a lost item claim. The next morning they called me and had found my watch. It was still in perfect condition.

Rhonda G

Definitely not a park my family will visit again. My son had heat exhaustion and we asked 3 employees for help and they acted like they had no clue what to do and could not provide any help for us or even a ride back to our area where we had a cooler. I had the drink band on but did not have our refillable cup, I asked one vendor to please provide a drink and they said no I did not have the cup with me. That was very poor service for a sick child, all employees should understand how to help the customer get to first aid. We ended up having to take care of him ourselves, thank goodness my husband and I are both clinical. We paid almost 50.00 for 4 hamburgers and ended up ill from the food. We waited 2 hours in line for one ride because they decided to complete tube maintenance in the middle of the morning. The falls ride is fun however, they completely separate you from your children and the faux rocks do quite some damage to legs, arms, and heads. The water was not deep enough and many complained of the scraping and bruising of your bottom. Our family has looked forward to a trip to Schlitterbahn for years only to find we were very disappointed and will not go back again. Many other water parks that are much nicer with more helpful employees.

kalola boerger

Fun place. Lots of shade options on ×eat side. Water cooler on west side. East side kids area water is so warm. Love the wave pool on the east side.

Stacy Baldwin

This place never disappoints! Everything was great. Good family fun and with free parking and the ability to bring in coolers it help keep the price affordable. Go!

Christopher Hermosillo

Very fun, great way to spend a summer day! Waters very cold and refreshing, they have hot pools too if you get too cold, some slides have a pretty long wait but that's expected, food is also pretty good here. Make sure to bring some kind of footwear for inside the park though as the concrete will burn your bare feet!

Brittany Binder

Love Schlitterbahn! This was the second time we've stayed on park and enjoyed 2 days worth of play. Our room was nice and comfy- had a kitchenette and separate living and bedroom. The waterpark is so much fun! We rode every ride over the 2 days (some multiple times) and had a blast. I want to make it an annual thing with the kids!

Traci Kautz

Definitely get blast pass so worth it. We didn't have a problem getting a table to put our stuff on your belongings are safe as far as food but I wouldn't leave anything out of value they are not really good at giving directions although we did have some very friendly help at the park. Some people seem to know their way around and didn't mind giving you directions other employees seem to just say it's over there or that's just the way it is

Glorimar Rojas

Went with the family on a weekday with the 2 day pass. The parking was great & the lines were short on both days. It's awesome that you can take a cooler with food and drinks, although the food there is not really all that expensive. There was always a staff member at the bathrooms and were kept clean around the clock. The swim up bars are super neat and plenty of shops to get your souvenirs. Our family enjoyed the parks very much and cannot wait to come back!

Crystal Barrick

We had a wonderful time and I really enjoyed the picture opportunities that we had. As a mom I am hardly ever in the picture so it was nice to capture this moment. There is so much to do and of you sign up for their email they send you coupons. Still the hottest coolest time in Texas! The tradition lives on.

Bekki Kirby

The old side of Schlitterbahn is so pretty. I love the trees for shade, and the whole vibe. However, as someone who's only been twice now, I find it really, frustratingly difficult to find my way around. It's so compact and multi-layered. So much spins off from the main building, but you can't always get "there" from "here". There are multiple stairways. Some lead to rides. Some lead to other levels and more stairs. We just wanted to find the entrance to The Cliffhanger! (Head down, toward the river... somehow.) Also, you'd better like your water shockingly refreshing, because that's your option. Well, the adorably-lame wave pool is quite warm, go there to thaw.

Rochelle Petron

We love this place. No parking fee you can bring your own food and drinks and the rides are fun and safe. Every year we come at least twice.

Mister doing Ur girl

Great place for the family. My boys loved it and we'll be going back soon. Well worth the money spent.

Selica Alvarado

This place is amazing! There is an attraction for every age. There are several slides, tube rides, regular pools, heated pool, wave pools, and kiddy pools. There are plenty of tables but you must get there early enough to make sure you get a table in the area you want. Say you have a little toddler, then you would prefer a table in that location. You don't have to worry about parking costs or ice chest fees. You can take your own food and not have to spend money for expensive food inside the park. I only rate it 4 stars because the price is a bit more than I would like to pay!

Kristi Brown

Best water park ever!!! Love that we can bring in coolers. No one ever messes with your bags. No need to rent a locker.

Will Warner

Full of trees and flowers, friendly, and right on the Comal river, this is the best water park I've ever been to! Parking, maps, and the tram between the two parts of the park are all free. Food is pretty decent for a theme park, especially the barbecue, and the portions are huge. The lazy rivers and the warm pools where you can sip margaritas and beers are perfect breaks for the older crowd, and they also have shady cabanas you can rent with couches and big screens to watch the game. All the rides I tried were great fun, and the lines didn't even take that long, even on the Saturday before Labor Day. I should go more often...

BK Diddy

Good fun time for the family. The kids love it and I do too. I think next year I'm going to get season passes. Only thing that I could complain about is some of the wait times for rides but isnt that expected at all water parks.

Vivian Morales

It's a lot fun but never go on a holiday weekend! The wait in lines are about 2-3 hours. They have lifejackets and covered bottom tubes for the kids. You can take your own drinks and food but no alcohol. There are shaded table benches all along the park and areas with lockers to store valuables.

Hamed Samadi

It’s ok. I think kids would love this place but for adults might not be good choice. The only concern ghat I had was about some games’s structures and safeties. Didn’t mention that you can’t find a good restaurant there all of them are fast food, no healthy food or many options.

Heidi de Lafuente

Place needs some TLC but is a great place for kids. They let you in with coolers, is very affordable. It's a relaxed and safe environment.

Cassidy Tarpy

Super fun. We stayed for 8 hours and didn't even do half the park. It was fun being in the old side and being in the river. My kids had an amazing time. They're 4 and 7. We will come again. We could definitely spend 2 days here

Jacqueline Bailon

It is such a great place to come with the family. Enjoying Schlitterbahn before summer comes to an end.

Shawn Ebert

Hadn't been back since 91. Had to take my youngest at least once. Some of it was the same some had changed. Still too long lines for how short the rides were. But parking is free and bring your own picnic is still allowed so that is great.

Lip

Just wasn't impressed with the "best water park in the world." It's not bad, it's just not that good. Lower your standards a bit and you'll have a good time.

Todd Hendrixson

Awesome place to go as a family or just as a couple. Very cool atmosphere unlike anywhere else and its insanely large. It is so big you have to ride buses in between the two parks.

David Rheman

This is original old school water park. The east side may be all modern, but the west side has long rambling slides just like a lazy river at times, but with drop offs and sometimes a real river at the end! Cool stuff.

Randall Torres

Attitude of the supervisors and life guards needs adjustments and better people skills. One of my family members grabbed a tube from the wrong place, little did we know that was going to start a chain of events. When we were told to return them, we did. So we were sent to wait by the water. Then another lifeguard sent us to the first place only to be yelled at by the supervisor. After that we we're being followed and micro-managed. Then one lifeguard tells us (as we're leaving to difuse the situation.) "You're lucky to be here, you don't appreciate being here"... The lack of respect is disgusting especially if you're in front of your family. I guess we're luck we didn't get kicked out by force for listening.

Martha Stark

I went but didn't want to be there at all. I'm 62 and have had surgeries that mean that I NEVER should have been there in the first place. To all of the lifeguards who kept asking me if I was having a good time that day... I truly wasn't. I was "stuck"in a whirlpool for 20 minutes and couldn't get anyone to help me out of it. I never felt safe after that. I know a lot of people are upset about Schlitterbahn being sold. I'm not one of them. That was the only time I had ever been there...seriously hoping this old lady never has to go back. Unless you are a young person and in pretty good shape...I don't advise going. There are many stairs to climb...while trying to hold on to a heavy inner tube. I leave this place to a younger crowd. Enjoy, cause I didn't.

Jesse DeVaney

Best water park in the US in my opinion. Water is refreshing comes from a spring fed river. Nice to have cold water on a hot Texas day.

Ed Schneebly

Great experience! Bought the family pack of four with the blast passes, was a little pricey but being we only come once a year the price for the passes is way better than standing in line for hours on end to get on a ride. All the rides we wanted to get on were running, food that came with the tickets was good, and was able to picnic on a table we found by the river. Facilities were clean, parking and shuttles ran smoothly. Will be back next year forsure.

Marcos Martinez

Wow this is an awesome place to relax and have fun for family and friends. I bought a season pass for my family it paid it self off in three visits. It takes three visit to see the whole park. Lots of fun water rides and you can bring in your own food! Awesome!

Kathryn Adams

Hands down best water park I've ever been to. The blast passes are worth it, you can reserve a spot on a ride and then play in one of the pools (like the super fun torrent wave pool) while you wait your turn.

Robert Maldonado

Great place to spend the day with friends and family! Went on a Monday, hardly any wait time. It was a great experience! Hopefully next summer we come back.

Denise Rosales

Thank you for mailing me back my sunglasses!! You guys are awesome. Protip - if you lose your sunglasses while at the park, fill out a form with lost and found and if they find them they’ll mail them to you. Thanks, Schlitterbahn!!

CHRISTINA Robles

Lines for the rides were a little long but went quick. Staff was nice. They even would tell you to enjoy the rest of your day while they helped push your tube down parts of the slide. Tubes were all over the park so it wasn't hard to find one.

Jessica Wilson-Puerta

We had so much fun! We will try to make it a 3 day visit next time. One day isn't nearly enough to see and ride everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rides looked well maintained and clean. The food was good. You just need more than one day to really enjoy.

Allen Hauck

$60 apiece, but fun. Original part was the best. Bring your own food

Terry Chhabra

All day fun for the entire family! Only reason for 3 stars is their efficiency for fast path booth (worth it but one person working on a Saturday in summer??) The same experience at food spots throughout resort. Need more help.. Fun wise - 5 star all the way!

Cristian Cruz

Most of the staff is friendly. If you want to ride the big rides and not wait in a long line , head there first asap. Other than that wave pool is perfect if you want to relax. Bring your on cooler to safe on food. They have lockers available from small to large. 25 for the large 18 for medium and 12 for small locker. Love this place besides the lines after 12 in the afternoon .

Maria Jimenez

Best water park. We have season passes and go all the time. Free parking and bring your own cooler. Nice area for little kids too

Bruce Westgate

Great fun, fun rides and something for everyone. Plenty of other things to do in the area for a fraction of the price though. As a visitor, much as I enjoyed it, my time and money could have been better spent elsewhere. I would not return.

Keith Zeyen

I was so looking forward to this place. My wife and I arrived and asked how you get to lazy river and was told to go to their side of park. When getting there, we couldn’t find so I asked and was then told to go back to other side of park by girl in information. My wife has bad hips and was really having a hard time with stairs. The girl said this park was built before handicap rules were around. So again headed back to other side again. We were ready to just leave at 5his point. Half way back my wife started to pass out so I went for help to see if they had a wheelchair, but they didn’t. Security came back with me and a medic was there. Then another girl came by. She said there was no lazy river there, that workers were still learning and they don’t all know everything. That was all we wanted to do. We ended up by kids pool where my wife sat in the lounge chair watching the kids. Just before park closed another person sitting by us told us there was another park you take tram to with a lazy river and no stairs. Now why didn’t somebody from park ever inform us of this. Another patron was very helpful and helped my wife back to car. Nobody from Schlitterbahn seemed to car. She was falling over in pain from walking back and forth and is in bed unable to move. I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worst enemy. Just a waste of $100.00 for the day.

Grace Norris

Terrible customer service. I’ve been calling and emailing them for the last two weeks to get a cabana booked/ask about group rates and no one will call or write back. I ended up just picking one online but the lack of interest from the customer service shows me how they feel about their customers. I’d think they’d be more responsive considering how much money everything costs.

Rosa Penaloza

It was the first time me and my boys go to Schlitterbahn and we absolutely loved it. Everything so so neat. The one thing that I had a bit of complaint on is on the Raging River some parts of the water are low so watch your bum!!

Janeen Guynn

We had a really nice time. The park staff were very helpful and friendly. I've always wanted to know how to get to the river from the park-the answer is Raging Rapids. It's in the main park and it's long and fun.

Elizabeth Matthes

Best water park place in the world!! So much to choose from. My 4 yo granddaughter & 7 month old granddaughter spent all day having a fun time playing in the water. It was safe & lots of lifeguards to monitor. The parents had a chance to go on the harder rides! Love this place. Have been going since my kids were 4 or so. Only has gotten better!

Lulee Guerrero

I love the natural spring fed water park! The frigid water is a nice way to cool off in the Texas heat. Most attractions are kid friendly and you can bring your own cooler of food! Free parking is great too.

Paul Vela

We always have fun every time we go we've been about six times and its always good

Bo Jacobs

Loved it... Great fun for all ages, young to old, something for everyone to do. I highly suggest the lazy river.

Tamara Kisslinger

Fun place, especially for families. My kids loved playing in water and going on the rides. Staff was very nice and friendly. Wait times were what you would expect for a Saturday in July. Only complaint is about the souvenir cups with the free refills. We purchased two of them for our kids, however the wait times to get a refill were ridiculous. We ended up not using them because we didn't want to wait in line for almost 30 minutes every time just to get a cup refilled. Waste of money unfortunately.

Laura Rose

Water very cold , usually opens all summer long. Snacks and tubes provided. You can bring your own food and drinks in ice chest . No alcohol or glass bottles allowed. They have a bat and hot tub

Cassie Eller

Fun family environment some of the staff was helpful food and beverage that was available is pretty decent very difficult to find parking there were no signs or information when you approach the front entrance which is a little confusing if you already have tickets but regardless you go to the ticket booth I found out and no map of the park was given at the ticket booth which would have been convenient instead you have to search for one. The lines actually weren't too bad but can get a little lengthy staff did good to keep it moving some of the rides and attractions were a little grimy but they were still fun and enjoyable. The temperature of the water was good for the day . there was a lack of signs guiding you to certain areas or entrances of rides.some rides had an overabundance amount of tubes available while other rides had no tubes available. The convenient ride to the other part of the Park was easy to find and had a good amount of buses running to where you really didn't have to wait long overall it's a good fun family place to go on a hot day

ramses llorente

Fun place for the family! It's BYOB + food friendly and lot of attractions. It's good to go on off days when there's not a lot of people

Anthony Messina

I recently got a season pass cause I love the water and my apartment is about 30 minutes away. I do not recommend ever going here on a weekend unless you are interested in playing volleyball at one of the pools cause that has plenty of people to play. The rides are awesome, but the wait times can get to be really ridiculous. The older park without the slide towers tends to be less crowded and easier to get on the rides so I do like that park for that reason, but main park had the awesome wave pool that is always fun no matter how many people.

Rebekah Sylvia

Finally went for the first time! Had THE MOST FUN I have ever had as an adult at any amusement park EVER. Left the kids at home for this test run. Arrived at 9:30 AM and got stellar parking and quick time at the booth to purchase our passes. $13 for a locker for the whole day & you can go in & out all day as needed with a digital code - very smart. Left all our food & towels at a table and felt comfortable doing so. Longest wait on the Friday we went was 1 hour - some lines had signs for THREE hour waits - which I imagine happen on holidays & weekends. Both parks rocked - we were advised to start the day on the newer side where the water is warmer & has less shade & move to older, shadier side with colder water as day warmed. Great advice. Would 100% consider the extra money for the fast pass thing - but geez that gets $$ with kids.

Thomas Abraham

This is a real blast. You'll love it. The east part is more with slides and the west part is with natural river water,so a little bit colder. But it's absolutely great. 1 star minus,bc of the price. It's really expensive. But the fun is worth it.

Chelsea Stigers

I’ve been here many times and can’t wait to go back. I definitely want to make sure we get the fast pass next time! And utilizing the resort early access is a must. There is no better water park as far as style and amount! I recommend at least two full days! Might bring a cooler next time too

Jabez Harrington

I dunno what's been going on with this place lately, but it has NOT been very enjoyable. I always come on a weekday & each time I have some sort of issue. I purchased the super blast passes and they malfunction to where I have to return a few times. I kindly asked for a refund or partial return and they were like hell no. I laughed and thought, damn! Come another time and no issues with blast pass like other time, but have a ton of issues with being ignored by food staff and it being a lite day. Today is Saturday and I have to leave. People fighting everywhere. Lines are over 2hrs long with blast pass. It's insane. I see many families leaving. I just learned to never come on the weekend.

Dwayne M.

Fresh clean river spring water feeds this amazing park. Inexpensive prices considering they even allow you to bring fully stocked coolers!

Austin Dollahan

So much fun, I remember coming here as a kid and I was finally able to bring my Wife here for the first time. We had an absolute amazing time! I highly recommend coming here at least once, just make sure you visit both parks!!

Miguel Castaneda

Awesome family fun! The only thing I would suggest if your coming from out of town for the weekend buy the fast pass and you'll for sure get on all the rides.

cliff cintula

I took my 8 year old daughter and we had a terrific day. We started at 10am when they opened and we had a fantastic final hour of fun before they closed. There were no lines for the rides after 7pm or before 11 am. We had 10 hours of terrific fun in the water from the cool Comal springs. My daughter was happily exhausted.

Cassandra Lurate

Schlitterbahn has been my favorite waterpark for years! My parents brought me as a child every summer, and now I bring my family every summer too! My kids are 12 and 18. They still love it! All of the rides are worth the wait. It's worth staying at the resort for early ride time since you can get some of the most popular rides done before the day visitors arrive. There are 3 different parks, the main one is my favorite, but the 2 other parks have great rides too!

Does this place even need reviews? I'm not sure what the name stands for but it's probably close to "Best Water park on Earth." Great for all ages and covers a massive amount of space in a really cool town with free shuttles to the different parks. You can't beat it.

Our family had so much fun! My 2 year old wore him self out running from one kids area to another. We were all exhausted by the time we left but had so much fun.

Shana Marie Walker

Love love love Schlitterbahn! My husband and I try to take the kids every year. Sometimes, we go without them. There’s something for everyone. So many great summer memories have been made here, and the best part is no one is on their phones the whole day!

Christine Ortega

I was not excited about going since I do not have small children. Ended up having a great time in the Lagoon. There was a live band and a bar in the pool. The water in the Lagoon was ice cold, which is great for Texas weather.

Xavier Rose

Great beautiful fun park to visit. The slides are fast and enjoyable. You can also bring your own cooler for lunch or maybe snack with water & drinks. I enjoyed every second of my visit.

Ethan Bennett

Very fun park the only issue I had was how many long lines and how the ques for the slides were alot of times not covered so we were getting sunburned while standing in line for two hours to get on one slide this park is a great place to go with kids and they will like all the rides I just don't have the patience to stand for two hours for a 50 second ride not my forte

Andrew Bentancur

We Have A Blast Every Year Here, the only thing I have to complain about is having to fight over the tubes in the lazy river. People hog the tubes all day long. Y'all need to come up with a better system like get more tubes or one time around and get back in line like the rest of the rides. Just saying. Other than that y'all still get 5 stars from me.

jeff walsh

Long time season pass holder. It was lovely having someone threaten to call security on us for hanging out in a cabana that we hang it in every 3rd week. We have done this for years and have asked employees several times if it is a reservation only Cabana. I have specifically been told that it is not. So I guess we know which way the new ownership is heading. Screw the loyal season pass holders, we can gouge the tourists for every one of their dollars. Thanks Schlitterbahn!

Erma Martinez

Enjoyed every water slide & tubing ride @ the water park. Most of all we got to bring in are own food and drinks. Will definitely returned with family.

T M

LOTS OF Fun I take my grandson every year. He loves it here.

Melissa Brunkala

We purchased a cabana and that was wonderful, the wait staff taking care of us was on it. However, most the rides were tube rides, well actually they were lazy rivers. They were really shallow so a lot of people (myself include) got stuck...a lot. There were only a few other water slides which were fun but it was a lot of waiting, but still a ton of fun. One other thing, there were a ton of little kids screaming in the bar area. I had a great time and look forward to coming back, but I would not call it the worlds best water park.

Kevin Gaston

Love this water park! They allow you to bring in your own food and drinks, which helps keep the cost down! You don’t have to pay for anything extra when you get there! The rides are fun, the lines are not usually extremely long!

Matt Green

Finally visited this place and loved it! Definitely takes 2 days at least to thoroughly enjoy it all! Tons and tons of rides, and the Master Blaster was awesome! Looking forward to visiting again! By the way, the concessions may look overpriced, but they give you plenty of food for the price. It's pretty good too!

Eduardo Martinez

Huge and fun water park. I know the "flash pass" is becoming more popular but the line attendant kept giving them much more priority than us other ppl that have been in line for much longer. That got pretty annoying. Other than that we had fun as a family. Plenty of rivers to ride both slow/chill and fast/fun. Can bring your own food too.

Laura Bullard

A bunch of my family comes here every summer. It is a lot of fun. The park does need some updating though. Also, this time when we visited the lifeguards through the park were extremely rude. The only staff that was really nice were the people in the resort office.

Rene Canamar

Great waterpark. Love this place. It will fill your family day. You can bring food too

Gilda C

Friendly staff and a fun place over all. Over priced gift shops like all typical water parks but worth it for the rides. Would recommend for a road trip or weekend plans.

Tara Dactyl

Not as many "rides" as we expected, most are variations of a lazy river. Fun for a day but a bit pricey. I did like that you can bring in your own cooler.

valeria villalobos

It was a great time, the water is clean, and the lines for the rides are not bad at all. However, they do charge more for tickets on weekends, and you cannot use your military ID to get a discount online(although it is really not much). It was worth every penny, but we aware that the price they advertise might change when you get there

It's consistently voted the best water park in the world, but it still has a homespun family feel. There is ample free parking and you can bring a picnic to enjoy at one of the mant shaded tables. It's loads of fun for people of all ages.

Amber Hatch

IF YOU ARE BUYING TICKETS, BUY THEM AT HEB. Tickets at HEB are way cheaper than buying online or when you get there. Once there, the lines were very long but I didn’t expect anything else. I had a great time with my family and there was a little something for everyone. Everything there is overpriced I recommend buying whatever you need before you arrive. The food was over priced but good.

I Am Nothing

Fun experience overall. While Some of the waits were so long that even if the ride was fun it wasn't something I could do again due to the wait. Others rides were nice and what was great as well was the fact that the wait time was so short that it was basically just walking through the line space, like the ride deemed "the falls". I definitely recommend.

Angie Dawson

This was the best water park we have ever been to! Lots of shade trees, cool water, and plenty of room to spread out. We went on a Thursday, they were not to busy. Longest line the kids waited in was approximately 30-45 minutes. I would highly recommend this park!!

Dawn Witbeck

The family had a blast. But prices have become outrageous here. Used to be affordable but not any more.

B D

Went to Schlitterbahn today to show a friend an amazing day of fun. Have been going for over 20 years! After waiting in line for over an hour twice, the kids just decided to do the lazy and rapid rivers. This was a pretty expensive day to ride 2 actual rides with all that Schlitterbahn has to offer!

Paul Rinehart

So much fun and we stayed at their resort too which was a great deal. I took one star off because I ended up with a terrible rash on my feet and legs and my wife got a nose full of water and was sick with a cough for 4 or 5 weeks, which went from one family member to the next. Maybe coincidence but it makes me wonder if it was a bad water day... EDIT: I was out in the sun again this week on vacation in Rhode Island and got the same rash, so it's either sunscreen or the sun I'm sensitive too... nothing to do with the water at Schlitterbahn.

Katie Corpuz

Still love all the old rides plus lots of new ones. The lines are too long though. No way to really experience it all in one day.

Hannah Ortiz

We have always enjoyed our time at Schlitterbahn, which is why it gets 4 stars, however, this was the first time we've ever taken the kids and maneuvering the stroller through the park was nearly impossible. We took the stroller down the stairs, but getting it back up was not an easy task, and when we asked about stroller and wheelchair access we were told there is none. I don't think that's legal, I also don't think it's true as the park would be in pretty big trouble with the ADA if they didn't have wheelchair access. One employee did step up and help us up the stairs, which we really appreciate, I was just very thrown by the fact that no one could point us toward a ramp.

Sharon Pereira

We’ve been going to Schlitterbahn for years and never had one problem until this year. They’ve made some changes with the new ownership and not for the better. The biggest problem we had was with the splash pass. We spent a good part of the day trying to resolve issues with the new watches only to find out that the return time they set for the rides far exceeded the actual wait time without the pass. Plus we still waited in line over 30 minutes for several rides despite having the splash pass. This did not occur last year when using the kiosk check in splash pass. The watches malfunctioned and we lost one all together on one of their rides because of the poor band design. Out of four watches only one was functional by the end of the day. And ours was not an isolated case. When returning the watches, person after person was unhappy with the splash pass. We had no problems last year with the old splash pass and have never complained at Schlitterbahn. Unfortunately this was not the only problem either. There were food service issues and problems with splash cash as well. I hope this is not an indication of what’s to come with the new ownership as we have always loved our trips to Schlitterbahn.

Jamie Perelman

Wish more stuff was open during the beginning of the season, but love the park.
