We had a blast with our family for the day!! They allow you to roll your cooler in with food and beverages, which is awesome! They also offer some areas with free parking. Because summer is over a couple rides were closed and kind of a bummer, but overall it was still fun.

My family and I went for the Fourth of July . It was packed but the place is big so it holds a lot of people. Plenty of tables to eat your lunch. The staff was friendly. The life guards that were on duty were doing a fantastic job. The food being sold was decent.

I will not go back ever again. Used to be great place but looks like facilities are not being cared anymore. I went on June 28th and the big wave thing in the whitewater river was not even working. Also, two hours after, the rides were all closed due to thurderstorm (which did not last more than one hour). I got no heads up at the admission but still had to pay the full price. I understand the mother nature but why should it be all at my expense?

Even though it was cold outside (66°) we still had a blast, water was warm and even the lazy river was not to cold, cool but not icy. Love that we can bring our own food and drinks. Great price for what you get.

Labor day service was a let down. We got the family and food package which was nice, but our day started off in frustration as we were the very first people there waiting at the online ticket booth for 30 minutes before someone showed up to tell all the people there that the booth was closed...as the booths closer to the park filled up. When we got to the online ticket booth that was closer to the park it took about 30 minutes for us to get in because there wasnt enough people to man the stations. The rides were good aside from the attendants lolly gagging taking excessive amounts of time between people going through. (I understand they need to let people go through, but this isnt my first time being here...lines have moved much faster on other visits)

After getting yelled at by a life guard when my husband went to find our 12yr old daughter after the water current caused her to go down a different path than the rest of us, then another life guard doing nothing when our daughter's float flips during a large wave area, we have decided that this water park is not really family friendly. More for single people or couples without children.

This is a great place to take the family or just to get away. There are so many options. They are constantly upgrading the park to make it better as well. You can bring your own food and drinks or buy them there. New slides coming soon.

Great rides and food, gotta try the ice cream taco. Takes 7 mins to make the ice cream right in front of you, but well worth the wait. 2 people can share it, it's huge.

Although it is not as big as the one in New Braunfels, TX my family and I had a great time. We went on a Monday so prices were cheaper and the lines for the rides wasn’t long at all. I love the big lazy river.

Used to be a great park. Now it seems the owners don’t really care. I took my family last weekend and the body board attraction was not working. Also the wave pool and lazy river did not have any waves. Some slides were also closed. Overall maintenance in the park seems to be mediocre. Very disappointed. Won’t go back.

Omgosh what a unique & fun waterpark! We got the 2 day pass over labor day wkend. It was $100 per person. First off we enjoyed the lazy river then the torrent river then the white water Rapids. They provide water tubes for each slide or part of the park. I do suggest water shoes to protect your feet in the pools and walking around. Plentiful life guards stationed through out the park. The slides are phenomenal including the tallest one in the world but be prepared to climb several stories of stairs for each one. They provide lockers - we got the smallest for $13 for the day. Parking is $15 UNLESS you park in the further lot (not far 3-5 min walk) then it's free. Valet parking is $25+ tip. If your handicap it's free as well w a proper plate or placard. You can bring in coolers (no glass or alcohol) and food. Plenty of tables & chairs usually. We loved it and will go again.

We have gone here for years and now that we are parents, we wanted to share this experience with our daughter. We went on Sunday, June 30 and were a little disappointed. Our favorite is the Torrent River, however it was broken. We had seen some postings at the ticket booths about some of the slides were down, but nothing about the river. The company needs to be a little more forthcoming about such things.

This is our favorite waterpark. We all love it. But this summer they kept the wave pool closed and it was very disappointing. If we knew it was closed we wouldn’t have come. They never told us at the ticket counter too. This time was upsetting.

It's a blast. Just make sure that you plan your visit on a day when the whole park is open otherwise you might not get to ride all the rides. (Didn't happen to me, cause I looked up the schedule online). My wife and I somehow managed to choose the best day possible to go. We went on the first sunday after school started back up, and to both of our suprise the park was practically abandoned. There were maybe a 1000 people tops in the whole place!

We really enjoyed our time at Schlitterbahn. The food was good. However, they ran out of ice at one place we got food and one beer we got was warm. Other than that it was fun! I do suggest wearing some type of water shoes because the ground gets very hot.

The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is because most of the employees were young and didn't seem to care and every food stand was out of something. Otherwise it was great and what was expected. I went on a day that all rides were expected to be open, and they were.

My boyfriend and I are vacationing in Galveston from Louisiana with his nieces, and we visited Schlitterbahn today! Only 2/3 of the park were open (which we knew ahead of time), and we still had an entire day of fun! I also love that Schlitterbahn honors our service men and women and gives an awesome military discount; my boyfriend is in the Army. My only complaint is that we ordered lunch from Bob's grill in the park, and paid $41 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat (which is expected for amusement park food prices), but they were out of half of the stuff on their menu, including BOTTLED WATER! Other than that, it is a great family waterpark with tons to do and we will definitely be returning in the future!

I choose this location over the one of New Braunfels. You get to ride more rides without having to wait for more than 1 hour just for 1 single ride! My family and I enjoy coming here every time. We get to bring our own picnic. there are pool bars (it's a must!) the lazy river is my favorite!

Family Fun

We visited this past Saturday for the first time. And will never go back. It would be best to just take the two hour drive to New Braunfels. The best part of this park is the Kristal river. The food is horrible and the workers serving are even worse. We had to run around the park to order lunch to just move from one line to another. After settling for bbq my plates were not complete because they had run out of sides and bread! What park runs out of bread? Maybe they should send their employees to more training on customer service.

My smaller kids (ages 9 and 10) enjoyed it greatly. My older two (ages 13 and 14) somewhat did... There was only so many times you could go around the lazy river and ride the slide. Those were the only two attractions available. Disappointing. The reviews are accurate about the water being EXTREMELY cold... The reviews are also accurate about it being super cold on the inside and the heaters aren't properly placed. We also saw SEVERAL heaters that were not on... You have to go to the hall area to feel the heaters. True enough, they feel perfectly warm, but again, you have to go to the hallway to experience that pleasure of being warmed up. And there are a bunch of people crowding over them at times. Kinda random but my feet seemed to be frozen. I will return when the park is completely opened.

I visited Schlitterbahn Galveston June 2, 2019 and was highly disappointed. There was a total of three rides open, one of them being the massiv and that was closed most of the day as well. I could understand it being peak season but we paid full price. When I asked an employee as to why so many rides were closed, she was confused because they were all opened the day before with no issues. The restrooms smelled horrible and there was no restroom attendant to clean it and various areas around the park wreaked of pee. We just wanted to show our grandma a good time for her birthday and had to settle for the lazy river.

Schlitterbahn is a really good placed but I was in line to get food when they were closing. Then they were people at front of us which they got there food then when it was hour turn they say it was close what the heck. Schlitterbahn say that people in line before they close they have to attend the comstermor even if there close.if

Schlitterbahn Galveston is the hottest coolest place on the island. I wish it were open January and February too. But then when would they have time to fix it up for the next year. During spring and summer I highly recommend getting there between 930am and 10am when the gates open. Tables go extremely fast! Can't wait for the 2019 Season to begin! It's "Island Time" first weekend in March!

This is like the wannabe of schlitterbahns. They layout is terrible, the attractions are mediocre except for the indoor lazy river / rapids that was pretty good. But let me tell you, for the same price the south padre island sclitterbHn is MUCH better, and I mean exponentially. The kids play area in the Galveston park is a joke in comparison. Don’t waste your money, go to moody gardens palm beach instead

We really enjoyed ourselves. Visiting on Father's Day. They allowed fathers free admission. Was told the do the same on Mother's Day. You won't receive this @ many other water parks or theme parks. They allow you to bring food & coolers in (no glass/alcohol). The only thing that I didn't like is the women's bathroom up front doesn't have many stalls & the ladies go in there to change even though there are changing stations right outside the bathroom. The pictures are VERY EXPENSIVE so we were limited to just getting 1. You do better having your cell in a water proof case & getting those developed. The lines were not long & there were some cool slides there. One of the pools felt as if it was heated. Had we found that one first I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE ANYWHERE ELSE lol. There is hot water to shower with as well which is also a great plus. We will definitely be going back again.

We really enjoy this waterpark, we travel Pineville, Louisiana once every summer with three kids and unite with family that live in the Houston Metro area. I recommend arriving when the park opens at 10 a.m. because the crowds arrive around 1 p.m.. All of the rides are fun, staff are friendly, and being able to bring your own food and drink (nothing in glass containers).

We had a lot of fun, but felt the tickets were expensive. If you go after 3PM you get an "afternoon discount"..... the amount of the discount is conveniently not listed online. It was only 3 dollars off of the online price. That was an unpleasant surprise. So I wouldn't plan my trip around that discount again. But we like it enough to take our kids once each summer.

The park was good, food was horrible the workers at the burger stand took 20 minutes to make my kid a burger and they kept forgetting why i was standing there...waiting..i had to remind them 3 times that they hadn't completed the food order. Next time I'll just save my money as bring my own

Rides were ok. Staffers suck. Not friendly at all. Over an hour wait to order food , then was informed they’re out of some of the things we wanted. Very poor communication and no ability to process food orders quickly. This was consistent at the 3 vendors our party visited. Lack of signing for directions added to frustration

My kids love it, but I honestly think it is slightly below average compared to other water parks we have been to with the one exception of the lazy river Rapids - yes a lazy river with a rapids section. That is super cool and definitely a highlight. Everything else is typical of other water parks. I think I the price is a little high, the park is a little run down and smallish for the amount of people that go there where you just kind of feel cramped. If going, recommend being there when it opens and leaving mid afternoon before it gets too crowded.

Was really fun, but super expensive. The family bathroom does not have a trash can for feminine products, but there is one right outside the door. The staff was really friendly especially to our little one. Parking was not bad either. The lazy river was really fun and the rapids were pretty cool. I think some tubes should have been removed as they were really flat. I love the two person tube that has a closed seat for little ones and the open seat for parents. They do offer life jackets for kids at no charge but we used one of our own this time. Overall was a great experience.

I honestly loved it. For such a big water park they manage things very smoothly and everything is fun for everyone. If you dont like slides then you can chill in the lazy river the whole time and it is fun because the river is so big and has two different branch offs. The food is a little on the expensive side but it is delicious. The only problems I could find were some places were a little dirty but I give them slack because the are such a large water park.

This waterpark is always a blast! I really love how their lazy river has a rapids section and a part that sends giant waves every minute. They have a good amount of slides and their free fall slides are not extremely steep, but still wedgie-inducing. The best part of this waterpark is that there’s a lot of shaded areas, great for someone like me who doesn’t want skin cancer.

Sunday August 04,2019. Galveston Texas location .My family endured the worst family event ever at your establishment . Allow me to go through the scenarios . (1) around 1:20pm my family and I went to purchase lunch to find an employee sleep behind the counter( photos to support this statement) . (2) Mr.Ron came to our cabana screaming and very unpleasant manner telling us we needed bands on to be in the cabana . In which we did have and showed him this yet he continue to be unpleasant . We said nothing to this gentleman or did a voice raise towards him for it was only two women and two children at the cabana during his rant . He continued to stand next to our cabana and stared for a long period of time ( I have photos & video to support this statement ) . We paid a lot of money for our family to come to your business, valet park, buy food and purchase a cabana to be treated so poorly for reason unknown. We will not be treated unfairly and rudely again . We will take our business to Katy Tx new water park or drive to Dallas Tx water park before we ever be embarrassed and harassed for no reason and napping employees ..

Me and a friend had a cabin in Crystal Beach and decided to drive over to Galveston to spend over a $120 just to walk in and find out the main attraction that we stay in was broke. The wave pool became a slow lazy river with no waves. We were told that it just went out that day but after reading the reviews I see we were lied to. It has been out and just don't want to tell anyone before they spend their money to get in. Don't you think you should at least put up a sign so people know before they spend all of that money. It's like going to the movies and you spend the money for the tickets and a lot at the snack bar and then they tell you there's no movie so just enjoy your snacks! This park is falling apart and the prices went up on several things just to walk in and see all the eyesores! Obviously this park needs new management if it is not important to take people's money and not let them know that the main attraction that brings them there is broke. Needless to say we spent all that money and left in 2 hrs. Such a waste of time and money! Was scheduled to bring the family in a couple of weeks but I'm not wasting that kind of money to just float in the water. This place is falling apart! Management needs to get their rides and property up to good standards and let people know before they pay to come in. So disappointed since we went 3 times last summer and now it's a waste of money and time. To many other attractions on the island to spend your money! And now I notice that you don't respond to any reviews! Just another sign of BAD MANAGEMENT!!!! IF THIS PARK DOESNT GET IT TOGETHER, IT WILL FOLD UP ! MY KIDS WERE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR TRIP THERE BUT I REFUSE TO SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY TO JUST FLOAT ON A LAZY RIVER! SO SAD!!!!

It was fun, me and my family had a blast but we eventually got tired of the water. The one white water slide that went straight down almost broke my mom's butt. Almost every person said the slide hurt them. I would recommend to come early. Because the lines aren't that big. There are lifeguards everywhere around any sort of children's pool things like the lazy river. There is a bar and fun, fast and amazing rides, some were slow but other then that it was fun

Long lines to get in and not enough people at the windows to help. Lifeguards were unfriendly and down right disrespectful. Bathrooms were musty, filthy and no air conditioning or air circulation. The price you pay is not the service you get period. This place needs major remodeling and major improvement. I feel like the price for the cabana we paid for we should have a private entry to the lazy river... $522 for a cabana for what? We would come to our cabana and we found people swinging on our hammocks and entering in and out of our cabana and stealing our water and snacks. I have taken my family here for the past three years at this location and the fourth year at New Braunfels. Needless to say I was super disappointed in how we were treated with the amount of money spent here. I will never return with my family.

Customer service was so mean. We forgot our Season Passes so we called and told them we had online and physical proof of us purchasing six Season Passes. They said " We had to Pay $10.00 for each of us to get 6 new season pass print outs". We didn't need new print outs we just forgot them at home. So we argued with them telling and asking them to please let us in based on the proof of purchase we had in hand. And still they did not budge. I could not believe how mean they could be knowing that we had proof of purchase, awful so awful. Yeah some of you may be saying that we should have not forgotten the passes but it happens right. Schlitterbahn should not be so mean like that knowing that families come from all over the U.S. to come to their park. So inconsiderate. 07/29/19 Once again I come alone with my wife, and yes rides are always shut down, especially my favorite the torrent wave like always. Man this place is pissing me off. I guess they don't want to pay extra money to add more WORKERS for the day. Another issue I might add, we come with friends and family and want to play and horse around in the water and Staff is always shutting us down, I mean that's what we come for, right? To play in water with our children and maybe friends if they come along. I just don't understand. Oh yeah, I guess I do understand, they blame everyone for one stupid visitors clumsy irresponsible play. So no play for everyone.

There were too many kids goofing around , kicking people, knocking into people in front of life guards in lazy river and not one of them told them anything. We stood in line for about a half hour to get a drink, told the bar tender what we wanted for him to respond give me a few minutes and preceded to help some women that got there after we did. After about another 10 minutes we tell him our order again and he tell us their cooler is not working. The drinks were hot. I know when you come to a place like this expect long lines but this was ridiculous and definitely not worth the money.

I had not been to Schlitterbahn before. It was a WONDERFUL experience all the way around!!!! The wait time to catch a ride was minimal, the rides were the best, and the dressing rooms were not gross! The staff was very friendly!

Although you can tell it's aged, it was fun for my family. Restrooms need a lot of attention; back in my teen days I worked at a busier waterpark and keeping tidy restrooms was not impossible. The place didn't look very wheelchair friendly. Didn't try the food but it looked good.

Not worth the ticket price! Most of the time a lot of rides are shut down, some lifeguards don't monitor kid slides or don't do anything about cutting in line. We went for my son's birthday and barely stayed 3 hours before wanting to leave. New Braunfels is way better.

Though the park is nice and huge we did have some problems with buying tickets online. The workers weren’t really any help until we met this nice lady at the guest services that helped us. The food was good a little even though everything is a bit pricey. The park was shut down because of rain but once it stopped thundering,lightning and the rain lightened up, they still would not let us go back into the water we waited about 4 hours and STILL we’re not allowed to get back in the water so $200 for 3 tickets down the drain to ride 3 rides and be in the lazy river for about 7 minutes. I don’t recommend this exact location.

My kids love it, but I honestly think it is slightly below average compared to other water parks we have been to with the one exception of the lazy river Rapids - yes a lazy river with a rapids section. That is super cool and definitely a highlight. Everything else is typical of other water parks. I think I the price is a little high, the park is a little run down and smallish for the amount of people that go there where you just kind of feel cramped. If going, recommend being there when it opens and leaving mid afternoon before it gets too crowded.

Was really fun, but super expensive. The family bathroom does not have a trash can for feminine products, but there is one right outside the door. The staff was really friendly especially to our little one. Parking was not bad either. The lazy river was really fun and the rapids were pretty cool. I think some tubes should have been removed as they were really flat. I love the two person tube that has a closed seat for little ones and the open seat for parents. They do offer life jackets for kids at no charge but we used one of our own this time. Overall was a great experience.

Other than teenagers cutting in line and park officials doing nothing about it and some of the rides having 2 lines (1 for the intertubercular/mat and 1 for the ride itself) we had a blast! We were not able to ride some of the rides because we didn't want to deal with the 2 lines and cutting teenagers, which was a bummer. Did have one incident where they sent my husband to soon on a slide and he hit our son in the slide before he came out the bottom. Luckily he was not hurt.

I've been here a couple of times, and it's always been fun,but this last time we went they didn't have the waves on in the torrent river which is one of the highlights of this water park. So my suggestion is look ahead of time to make sure the attractions you want to ride or do are available the day of. It's still a fun park, lots of tables, picnic areas, restrooms, and stores.

1. When we got there, we had to sit out on the side of the pool for 2+ hours because of thunder. I totally understand that, safety first, no big deal. What I did not appreciate was that the workers were so standoffish about the situation. As you can imagine, a lot of people had questions about when we would be able to go back in. We could not even get an answer on protocol. So, finally, well after noon, with almost no communication, we get into the pool for the first time of the day. 2. The indoor river's wave machine kept breaking down. The current was the same as the lazy river. Finally, they got it to work, but not at full power. The waves were just barely enough to lift you a foot higher. Nothing like how it used to be and certainly not close to the New Braunfels location. 3. I'm totally cool with paying $50 to go to a water park. But not when it's not well kept up and the attractions are not working properly. 4. Lastly, while we were in the lazy river, we came across a lifeguard who was fully asleep in the chair. We tried getting her attention, then one of her co-workers came and woke her up, then left. Would I go back? Absolutely, but not at that price. I would happily spend that to go to the New Braunfels location instead. I would also like to note that we drove 2 hours to get to Galveston, so I really wish I would've just driven the 3 to go to a place with more rides and better guest service.

Me and my family come twice a year and it's very fun! If you dont like rides they have the torrent river with waves . I love that you can bring your own cooler with drinks and food. No alchohol or any glassware. Me and my family always enjoy coming here!

While the park entry is reasonably priced, they absolutely rob you once inside... They allow coolers for lunch and drinks, just no alcohol. I also recommend bringing water shoes the summertime sun is deadly on those feet!

It is amazing and I reccomend if you stay at a hotel to stay at inn at the water park. Inn at the water park is really close, not in, but very close to it. And overall the experience there was amazing.

Free parking, coolers welcome with drinks and food no alcohol or glass. Tons of sitting space with shade the inside sitting area way too hot if you plan to try and relax in there without getting in water SO DONT DO IT LOL!!! But had a great time with family park perfect size all rides are lots of fun there was not long lines at all.

This place is awesome!!! I would recommend that you bring your own food, snacks and drinks. Most of the teenagers that works in the kitchen areas do not wear gloves and do not keep their area clean. The funnel cake was good.

Overpriced! Enjoyment level number of rides/floats open and the amount of water flow and velocity of the current in the park. In early August (not the end of the season) they had multiple rides and thus water flow shutdown. It was almost miserable not fun.

Great place to bring friends and family! Remember to get the refillable soda cup right when you enter so that you get the most out of it. The food was actually pretty good there as well and there is a lot of it. Prices are pretty good for food but the drinks are pretty pricy so your best bet is to either only drink water or get the refillable soda. I would recommend this place, very fun!

First time ever going to this water park my lil ones had a blast the water was a bit cold to start of with but after a while it was nothing since we r in the summer heat made it better we purchase the family pack online that comes with the meal and also purchase the refillable cups all around the place was amazing other than the food services workers that we stood in line for over 5 to 8 minutes to get service and to top it off the cashier seemed to hate her job and was to busy eating to attend to us right away other than that great experience for my family

This place is awesome and never insanely busy. The new slides are so dang fun we did them 2-3 times each. If you don’t making the hour drive to Galveston and the $50 ticket price, grab your stuff, grab the family and head to this Park!

Look, it looks like it would be a fun water park. We went online and the website said it was open and we're like "yeah Schlitterbahn sounds like fun let's go!" And we get there, we're the first ones there..awesome.. Small lines that will be nice.. Well we pay $60.60 to get in.. Okay about the same as Hurricane Harbor, so we didn't think much of it. Well, we really wanted to do the lazy river and torrent river.. Did the lazy river, and it was the most boring lazy river I've ever been on.. (Hurricane Harbor and NRH2O have little jets to push you along a litter faster). Well, that river was a joke.. So we went to the map to see what else we could do... Everything else was closed, only the kid section and one slide was open... If you're only going to have 1/3 of the park open, you should only charge 1/3 of the price.

Water park is so much fun lots to do! I would wear water shoes, the ground get really hot! The staff were not very kind. They spend more time talking to one another and on their phone. They dont even care to put their phone on silence. You can tell it's the end of the summer and they just dont care.
