I really enjoyed going to Schlitterbahn since it had been years since I was there. The park grew and everyone had fun. I like that we get to take our food inside. We were able to get tubes fairly easy and the lines to wait to get on a ride wasn't bad. I also liked the fact that since it was memorial day we didn't have to pay. That was a plus for me. I would definitely go again when they have that offer.

Lockers available for $13 All day rental. Bar available and drinks are great! Staff helpful and friendly. Bathrooms and showers clean. Come early for parking and be easy to have lots of fun! Lifeguards all over the place! Keep your eyes on your kids! Pretty safe place. Indoor Schlitterbahn is very humid and hot. Wouldn’t recommend going there. Low air circulation. Stay outdoors.!

If you are expecting a traditional water park, where you grab a tube and go wait in a line, don't come here. This was our first time here and we were SO confused for the first few hours because we couldn't figure out where the lines were to get on the slides. I even asked probably 5 employees and no one took the time to explain how the slides were part of the lazy river. The hotel itself was overpriced and smelled like mildew. Although, the hotel employees were incredibly kind and professional!

My toddler loved the inside park, plenty of tables and shade. I love that I am able to bring in whatever we need for my picky eater. the staff was amazing, always watching kids on the pool and the cleaning crew was very prompt in cleaning up any big messes.

I paid reservation for 2 palapas and they only gave us one, we got to the palapa and we have to asked the people there to leave because it was all occupied, no assistance whatsoever. Really bad organization, Next company party we will go somewhere else

Go once a year with my husband for our anniversary. So much fun, great rides and food. Servers in the pavilion need to really care about a customer more. My husband accidently spilled ice cream all over me and on the table while eating, and the waitress in the bar area looked at me and just took my husbands card and went to pay for our meal. No remorse, no offer of help, no care. Needs attention. Schlitterbahn itself is always a great way to unwind and check out the beach

Our family vacation at the shlitterbaun resort and water park was more than what we expected! The water park was not only relaxing...floating around in our floats but the rides were exiting and our visit to the treck diving and snorkling experience was Awesome! A shout out to GUNNER for greeting us with Mrs. PUFF the cutest pufferfish...just one of the fish we were able to pet and see in the Treck. Thank U Travis and Gunner for making our experience so memorable.... Just watching u guys diving to the bottom of the tank and interacting with the fish and the guest was Amazing. Our stay at the resort after a FUN IN THE SUN day was relaxing and the entire staff was so kind. We will definitely be returning again and again for our family getaways! Thank you everyone for your hospitality!

It’s a good place. It gets repetitive after a while. Sometimes the wait in lines for an attraction can be over half an hour long. It’s takes about 15 minutes to go around the whole attraction and the rides last about one minute long. It’s good that you can bring your own food and drinks. #waterpark#funinthesun

All of the attractions were closed because they said that they were short staffed. But yet the price doesn't go down. One still has to pay full price. The main attraction was the river and the kids area. Even the food court areas were not all open. Really over priced.

We went to this resort in March, and were completely disappointed. Nothing looked like the pictures! The beach resort is down the street from the hotel, and none of the restaurants or waterparks were open. Not indoor or outdoor. The indoor waterpark looked like it would be completely dated and run down if it was open. The rooms smelled and showed signs of terrible mildew. We immediately asked for our money back and went to another hotel. Very disappointing.

Great waterpark! Stay in your tube and just relax! Even the lines for the rides are in the water, so you don’t have to leave your tube and stand in line. It’s a great concept, and I wish other Waterparks would follow suit. You can also bring a cooler with no extra charge. If you want a break, they have beach access on property too.

This place is expensive as far as admission but you can buy value tickets online as long as you are not going there on a Saturday or holiday. This is by far the best Schlitterbahn in Texas. The best part is being able to float on the river while in line for rides. The Torrent river is fast and has ocean size waves. Plenty of food to buy there or feel free to bring your own in a cooler as long as no glass or alcohol. It's a great place to come spend the day if you get tired of sea water. Great for all ages and plenty to do.

It's off season on South Padre Island so the water park was not open but we ate at the Shrimp Haus. Not impressive. I had a margarita with Don Julio. Too much sweet and sour, was very acidic. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp were large and delicious. The pasta was lacking in flavor. My date had the peanut butter shrimp which was surprisingly good. The garlic mashed were bland.

This is our second time staying at the Schlitterbahn beach resort. Just like the first time (5 years ago) we were very happy with our stay! The staff was very nice from check in to checkout. Housekeeping staff was awesome and very friendly. Check in is at 4pm but we arrived 2 hours early and they were able to get us a room at that time! That was very much appreciated since we had been traveling with kids for 5hrs. The waterpark is great for adults & children of all ages. My 15, 6, & 1 1/2 year olds really enjoyed it! We mainly visit South Padre for the beach, but if you are staying for more than a couple of days the waterpark is a great way to add something different to your family vacation. This Schlitterbahn is tiny compared to the New Braunfels location but the beach really does make up for it. There is very convenient private access straight to the beach from the hotel. The beach itself was so beautiful and clean. There were beach chairs with umbrellas that are free to use on the beach if you don’t have your own. There is a small burger place located in the hotel that also serves pizza, chicken strips, snacks, etc. & breakfast tacos/coffee. The burgers were delicious! There’s also a cute gift shop in the hotel as well. The room had a mini fridge & microwave in it. The only reason I am giving a 4 star rating is because our room had a bad mildew odor that even my 6yr old noticed. Our carpet wasn’t the cleanest, our room only had one chair to the small dining table which made it hard for us all to eat on, and they do not have couches in the rooms. This would’ve been nice since we are a family of 5, we needed more than just 2 queen beds. Thankfully we went prepared and took a twin size air mattress just in case, which ended up coming in handy! Also, I really wish they would offer at least ONE day FREE to the waterpark if you are staying more than one night at the hotel. Unfortunately you have to pay for the waterpark even if you are hotel guests. They offer a “discount” to waterpark for hotel guests but still can be quite expensive if you have multiple kid’s. Overall we had a great family vacation and will definitely return again in the future.

Their menu selections keep with a consistent theme depending on what part of park you're dining in and that theme is... EXQUISITE! With freshly delivered shrimp and other cuisines as well, they manage to flirt with culinary perfection regularly. Regrettably, I will have to post photos of my experience at a later time. More than half of their rides were closed, even the indoor Waterpark. We didn’t know until after we bought tickets. Employees didn’t even let us know basically all their rides were closed. Definitely not worth $60. We tried getting a refund but overall we didn’t. We spoke to more than five people about it and we still didn’t get a refund. We spoke to the operator manager Antonella Garcia At Schlitterbahn and she told us she had no control over giving refunds and told us we had to call a number she gave us. Overall, she gave us the wrong number to call, so we just called spi Schlitterbahn and they told us Antonella Garcia had to approve the refund, which at the moment we were with her, she didn’t say that, she specifically said “I have no control over giving refunds you need to call corporate”. I definitely recommend you not go to Schlitterbahn especially the one at south Padre island. If I could, I would give 0 stars.

Pros: access to basic small waterpark, decent access to beach Cons: front desk sends you on the run around to get park wristbands Not well kept and very drab rooms No balconies Pool with bar is super small and not big enough for guests to enjoy Waterpark does not have enough tubes, when you find one and get out to go to the cabana we rented for food drinks etc the tube police come by and make u put back your tube so when you want to go back in a few minutes later you are stuck searching for a tub for an hour. Not friendly staff Small attractions not at all comparable to the new braunfels location Cabana staff has to constantly be searched for to get orders or refills Overall I wont be staying here agian. I will happily stay at the pearl Isla grand and take my kids over to the waterpark for a day.

This really is the hottest coolest time in Texas! They have a bar that is inside of a pool and you don't have to go anywhere else. Met some excellent people had some great laughs and conversation that was Unforgettable. Shout out to Juan Juan and Juan!

The park is split into indoor and outdoor (separated by a lengthy concrete path). There are at least two bars at each section and one lazy river at each park too. There is quite a bit of shade all over. The cabanas are definitely worth looking into as they offer picnic tables and shade. Some have grills too. Overall great addition to the island for a bit of change of pace.

Not enough tubes for young children/toddlers. When we asked workers if they had more tubes a worker named Ricardo was rude and said they did but they were not authorized to hand them out. Asked two more workers and they said the same thing yet they were not telling people anything for leaving the water with the tubes to safe them for themselves. We are platinum season pass holders and the SPI is not toddler friendly AT ALL. Not coming back to this park. We love schlitterbahn but definitely not this park.

Very small, not worth the whole price, you guys should wait until 3pm to get their "after-hour" tickets which are basically senior/children price (I dont remember exactly the number). The water is not heated enough even though they say that it's a heated in-door water park. You can easily spend 2 hours here and got bored already. So save your money, and come later in the day

Great water park. Most of the rides branch off from the lazy river so you dont have to get in and out of the water or climb up a million stairs. There is also a private beach entrance connected to the park. We had a group of all ages with us and everyone had a great time.

Went there two weeks ago and the service was horrible in the restaurant near the beach, they took forever to make our order, after that we saw that our nachos were ready and the lady there just opened the box where the nachos were and leave them alone for like 10 minutes, and she was taking other orders... awful service

Loved our stay at Schlitterbahn. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, however the pillows were lumpy and I'd bring my own next time. The food was ok, but over priced. The coffee was expensive and too weak. The indoor waterpark was fun, my three year old loved it. The hotel staff was friendly. Overall a great weekend vacation.

Our 2nd Winter fest there. Nice job of reacting to weather and adjusting various factors to it "on the fly". Great lineup of musicians to get exposed to.. Shrimp Haus catered a really good fish and shrimp basket. Great beer special.. Mixed drinks "OK" and Middle priced. One suggestion is have overhead signage etc for the TWO drink lines instead of everyone all in one line. Just my 2 cents worth.

The rides are so fun and it never feels like it gets boring. The indoor water park is pretty impressive and to my knowledge you don't have to be in a tube because its like a huge swimming pool. In the outdoor water park you get to just cruise on a tube and let the water take you all around. And if you're looking for more action you can ride on the large slides and rides. I'd have to say the only big con about Schlitterbahn is that you can find yourself waiting in line for 40 min for a 20 second ride. I recommend going early to minimize this. :)

I got a group deal, 2 nights for $150 + tax, because it was off season, no water park. NOT WORTH IT. The rug in the room felt like it was holding moisture, the water fixture of the sink was rusting, and the exhaust fan was not in working condition. The grill was closed. The small pool was dirty too. No hot tub available. Things looked very worn down from the beach sand and wind. ON THE UP SIDE, We did have access to the beach, and the staff was very friendly And responded quickly. They have an outdoor party room if you go towards the beach, take the elevator to the 5 th floor. There, we were able to see the sun rise, like if we had our own balcony

A good option for a getaway with the kiddos. Enjoy being there every time we go. This time we tried to eat there instead of going out to grab something like Whataburger. We got the cheese burger combo for 8.99 and let me tell you that it was worth it. The burger is huge and they served lots of waffle season fries. I will have waisted the same or more to go out drive all the way there and having to walk in again and looking for empty table would have being a hassle. By the way the access to the beach is a delight.

So we went and more than half of the rides were closed, even the indoor park, we didn’t know until after we bought the tickets and to make it worse employees didn’t even let us know more than half the rides/indoor park were closed. If I knew I wouldn’t have spend $60 on my tickets just to get on 3 rides. We spoke to the operator manager Antonella Garcia, there at the park to get a refund, and she specifically told us “I have no control over giving refunds, you have to call this number and speak to them for a refund”, so she gave us a number, which was a wrong number and a total waste of our time. So we ended up calling south padre island Schlitterbahn for a refund and they asked if Anotella had approved the refund. We were a bit confused because she specifically told us she had no control over refunds, which was clearly a lie and she made us waste our time calling wrong numbers. What a terrible person and employee. Never coming back.

I wanted to like this place, but there were multiple issues during our stay. First the good is that it has beach access and a bar and food service that you can access from the beach. Customer service was also good. The bad, our room was always humid and while clean seemed like the walls were dirty. Park passes are not included with the resort stay. The two towers are not connected so you have to walk outside to reach the second tower if you are staying there. Parking was difficult to find at times.

Positives: Resort is beach front and parking is included. Negatives: We were on the 4th floor and the hotel rented out the entire 5th floor until past 11pm both nights. Excessively loud music, drums, footsteps so we couldn’t sleep. Honestly ridiculous but it’s a water park hotel not a relaxation getaway. Rooms weren’t clean. Dusty, stains, excessive water damage even all the electrical outlets. Hotel must have flooded as all the carpets, walls, and outlets looked or smelled molded/salt water sizzled. Very poor upkeep of the park and hotel overall. Needs a complete overhaul. Wouldn’t recommend.

Awesome place for family fun. But I'm not liking the new towel policy. If this place is having issues with folks not returning towels then just add $1 dollar extra per person to make up for the loss of towels. I'm not liking to carry those towel cards around.

I got a group deal, 2 nights for $150 + tax, because it was off season, no water park. NOT WORTH IT. The rug in the room felt like it was holding moisture, the water fixture of the sink was rusting, and the exhaust fan was not in working condition. The grill was closed. The small pool was dirty too. No hot tub available. Things looked very worn down from the beach sand and wind. ON THE UP SIDE, We did have access to the beach, and the staff was very friendly And responded quickly. They have an outdoor party room if you go towards the beach, take the elevator to the 5 th floor. There, we were able to see the sun rise, like if we had our own balcony

Difficult to check in! Room was not cleaned twice! Service was horrible! Parking was a joke! Place is not clean. Got water park with reservations but they wouldn't honor it said $18.00 each and per day. I would not stay here again and we won't be back. I would give a 0 star if I could!

Very nice place for kids to have fun . But the bar was very busy and the bartender Anthony was very good even though he was short on supplies he was still very courteous . They should have a bartender and a waiter to take food order it is ridiculous that the bartender has to take food orders and still fix drinks when its that busy. Also bathrooms at entrance had a sign that said that you cant take a poop in them ....what was that a bathroom your not suppose to poop in ...really? There were 12 in my group 6 adults and six children. kids had a blast as for us adults we cant complain that much cause overall we had a good time .

Worst Staff EVER. The pool, funnel cake maker, and other things were broken down the entire weekend. The kitchen was no properly staff nor stocked out of wings, cheese etc... I asked for a tray for our food as I just spent 60$ and the supervisor of the kitchen told me to go and find one... The elevator had an entrapment my husband who works on elevators rescued one of the managers out of the elevator she gave him free funnel cake cards for the kids knowing the machine was broken. They were not checking to make sure babies had on the swimmers diapers. They charged us extra for bbq sauce when honey mustard and gravy was free. And my hotel floor smelled like cigarettes and marijuana.. never again go and stay somewhere else there was much more that happened and there were dead roaches all over the walk way inside the indoor water park.

Resort needs alot of work. Pictures on website do not match the condition the place is in. Light fixtures broken. Trash around the resort not picked up. First and last time we come.

A good option for a getaway with the kiddos. Enjoy being there every time we go. This time we tried to eat there instead of going out to grab something like Whataburger. We got the cheese burger combo for 8.99 and let me tell you that it was worth it. The burger is huge and they served lots of waffle season fries. I will have waisted the same or more to go out drive all the way there and having to walk in again and looking for empty table would have being a hassle. By the way the access to the beach is a delight.
