This Park is included in the category of Nudist park.
Great place, it's staelrts filling up around 1:30 to 2.
It really needs updating but I had fun
What an adventure! All sorts of interesting characters here.
Great views, waters pretty low this year so a.rocky.climb down to water and the old dudes cruising is wired. However its nice, peaceful and relaxing. Great time if you wanna hang out and float around with the adults.
If only clothes were always optional everywhere
Thought this place was gorgeous. Would go back again. However I didn't Actually visit the nudist side at this time.
You get a substantial senior discount if you are over 62, and the people who go are outgoing and friendly. This place also has great views and scenery.
Excellent, I'm going to go again
Very beautiful and comfortable
Hippie Hollow is a one of a kind experience in the Lone Star State. It's the only nude beach / park in all of Texas... and, it's yours to enjoy naturally.
Great place to be free and find like minded friends!
No weirdos trying to catch a glimpse of nudity but having not the balls to visit the park
Water was amazing. If you find a secluded area youll easily spend a few hours relaxing.
Nude park is nice place. Good for relaxing.
It’s a nude beach, it’s really nice.
Would be nice to have a little artificial Beach area put in, not just straight rocks that go sharply into water. That being said, beautiful area, ample parking, public restrooms available, etc. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking to get some naturist sun in.
Au naturale in Nature. Naturally, a favorite spot.
Carefree. No hassle. Lay out all natural. No b.s. to worry about. Nice lake. Rocks are a bit rough to get in and out of.
Nice place to get away from the crowds of families and children at other lake access spots! It’s a little rocky, but I really didn’t mind. It’s not a direct walk in beach type of park, so if you don’t wanna hike a short way down some rocks (or see some nudity) then you should pass on this place. However, I had a great time and will definitely be coming back! I just wish it was dog friendly, if it was I would definitely be a regular!
Great place to enjoy nature in a natural way. All kinds of people, relaxing and good sighting over the lake. No, no pun intended, I go there to enjoy my free clothing time.
This is a place of freedom. Anyone can br like Adam and Eva.
Purify yourself in the waters of lake minnetonka or travis if the former is not availanle.
What can I say..we had a blast
Great views of beautiful humans and you can even see The Oasis over yonder. Unfortunately, quite a bit of zebra mussels so bring swim shoes to avoid cuts.
It's an interesting place...clothing being optional, the trail is basically a fire road with detours to go down to the lake, not very scenic as this is a pretty ugly part of the lake, total hike down and back up is about 45 minutes. Protected swimming. Plenty of restrooms as well as security, good parking, $15 entrance fee.
The only clothing optional park in Texas. There are open shared spaces and more private corners. The water is surprisingly warm.
A little Rocky but nice scenery and good swimming.
Absolutely beautiful. Little hike and Rocky so water shoes are recommended.$15 to get in but worth it. Would definitely come back.
It was fun and a great service.
Great place to enjoy a nice hot sunny day on Lake Travis
Only clothing option park in Texas.
Wonderful place to sun and swim
Beautiful scenery. Relaxed atmosphere.
Relax nude atmosphere
This is the best place in Texas to be naked in nature.
Love this area of lake Travis. Especially nice at sunset.
This was a very unique experience. Main qualm is if you aren't very good at climbing you will have a tough time getting down to the lake. Also there are several points in the water where it drops off uneven so I would use caution. Otherwise love the scenery and it is very unique given there aren't any other need beaches in Texas.
This place is amazing. Just being able to have a place where you can go hang out on the lake, clothing optional and no judgement is priceless... enjoy!
This place is so laid back. The vibe is so cool. Every one we have met has been so damn cool!! I can't wait to come back! Clothing optional!
One of the only if not the only nude place to swim in Texas! So relaxing, everyone was respectful. We did get bit by what it appeared to be a cat fish, bring floaties as it makes the experience better especially if you can't or don't want to swim in the deep area.
Greatest place to go relax, everyone friendly, we love it here
Awesome
A little slice of heaven in Texas. Easy parking, access and all the people seemed respectful and cool.
It’s different here for sure, but I’ll definitely come back lol. Ladies, definitely bring a friend or two! I went with my friend and we’re both in our 20’s. We sat for awhile and checked out the scene before deciding to get undressed. Welp out came the weirdos
Nice place, a little ruff getting to the water but worth it
Fantastic place to enjoy the outdoors.
Not like it used to be but somewhat better in ways... Constantly changing out in this area. Development...
Great place to go tanning nude. Everyone minds their own business. :D
Great place to kick back and let it all hang loose. Waters are calm and refreshing. The perfect place to lay back and recharge those drained batteries.
Today was my first time ever at Hippie Hollow and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The water was beautiful and not too cold, there was plenty of space for people to lay out, and everyone seemed to be rather friendly. Bring a float, hop in the water, and soak up the sun! 10/10 would go again
Beautiful water. Beautiful views. Best to wear water shoes
Great afternoon on the “beach”. Beautiful lake. Well maintained restrooms and trails. Just be aware there is no sandy beach. It’s all rocks and water entry is a little tricky trying not to fall off of rocks while you enter. Will definitely be back!
Love this place SO MUCH
Beautiful views crystal clear waters!! I've been coming here for over 30 years. Original pristine Austin at it's best!! Not for kids adults only. Nudity.
Was pretty awesome. My first time at a clothing optional place. Was liberating, no one bothering you. Would highly recommend. Wish it wasn't just cliffs.
This place changed my life. Being nude was so peaceful and beautiful. I went in the water dressed and walk out naked
The place is beautiful. The water is nice especially with the hot weather we are having now. It can be difficult to get to the water because you have climb down and the rocks can be slippery and loose so wear shoes to climb down. Otherwise it's great and I will go again.
Pretty good. Nice park
Not a big deal actually
Great Austin Texas Stuff
Hot day but nice out there
Very nice clothing optional state park. Parking is no in/out option. Bathrooms available. You must bring your own food and drink. Nearly all areas to layout are non sand. Lake has dropped water level so there is a bit of a hike to water except for area found by entrance that has no cliffs. In general individuals are nude though there are a few lookers but they leave you alone.
Perfect for relaxing, pets and children are not allowed.
The lake is awesome!! Must be comfortable with nudity.
The park is nice and clean and the water is beautiful
Entrance fee is 15$ from car, motorbike, or family (without car). There is no sand, no even big flat area. Only stones and no prepared entrance to water. However, atmosphere is nice and not too many people.
Beautiful and clean !! Went there on Sunday, paid $15 on the gate. Really worth it cuz this park is clean. The best thing about it that you don't see kids or dogs. One of the few parks in Austin where you can chill out without tens of dogs running around you !! And by the way I think this is the only park in Texas that is "clothing optional"
The water was so clear and refreshing.
Nothing terribly special but a nice park. Be sure to know the water level, when the lake is low be prepared to climb rocks, truly climb. 2019 it’s back up all the way, no sweat.
Awesome spot to enjoy the water and your friends
The best... The one and only in Texas. It’s very crowded on weekends for good reasons. Although the parking lot might seem full, there are plenty of room on the rocks for everyone.
Great that there is water to enjoy. Just wear shoes to get down to water and don't forget sunscreen.
Parking is 15$ per car and there was a police car parked in the parking lot. So put on your clothes before stepping into the lot!! The rocks are steep so bring something a little more sturdy than flip-flops.
It was fun today. Everyone getting comfortable and sunning. All smiles, no clothes. I would recommend water shoes. The rocks can be pokey in and out of the water.
Fun and welcoming atmosphere. There are lots of places to set up camp. Be sure to bring water shoes. Great swim area. Facilities are nice.
Very nice, clean and calm nude optional park. Get there early for events due to limited parking. Be sure to wear proper water shoes due to sharp rocks in and out of the water.
Alright, this is not a "beach" but the place is lovely and the ambience of nude freedom - inspiring. It's possible to find some shadow, and if you undress, with a little bit of a breeze, even the hottest Texan weather is nice and pleasant. I loved it there.
Hippie Hollow is not a beach. There is no sand. It is more like a quarry with rocky formations that need to be navigated to get to the water. But the rocks are often flat and level so the sunning areas are more than adequate. I do recommend bringing water shoes and a thick yoga mat, in addition to towels. Pack a cooler with your lunch and your favorite beverage (alcohol is allowed) and you're all set. Don't forget the sunscreen!
Best spot in Austin. Very relaxed environment and quite beautiful. Bring a cooler and something to float around on. I wish I did. Don't hesitate, just go and enjoy!
It’s a beautiful beach with a lot of beautiful naked people. There is no sand and you sun bathe on large rocks etched into the side of a cliff. The water is clean and warm. Love it there.
What these people choose to do on their own property is fine by me but they need to stay clothed when they’re on the boats that are nearby the beach area and buoys. It’s not fun when your kids sees things he shouldn’t. people need to grow up very strange behavior. People leave hippie Hollow riding around on floatation devices nude etc. Disgusting and ridiculous!
Great place, swimming, hiking, really enjoyed.
Gorgeous landscape/lakescape. Watch out for Zebra mussels!!
I enjoy myself every time I go! Meet great people
It's a good place to enjoy the warm and sunny Texas weather! Bring shoes as the limestone is not friendly for even tough feet and the climb can be steep in certain spots. The people range from respectful and reserved to respectful and sociable. The only annoying thing is the occasional boater will holler and make noises as they pass. More people go nude towards the end of the park.
Awesome and beautiful! I loved it! Wasnt brave enough to go fully nude though. I wish they ID people at the gate though.
A must for ALL naturists and clothed optional people to visit. Great that the public all get along here.
great place. i fill free✌
Hippie Hollow is amazing. I can't post any pics ad they're all nude. Great spot for sunbathing and having great convo with great people. It can get crowded but its worth the drive and time if you can readily access Austin.
Great area of the lake. It's nude beach but there is plenty of segments where trees and rocks segment each sections. Very serene spot to chill out.
Beautiful place to visit
Really good place to get a all over suntan just have to be careful around the big rocks
Inclusive spot for any polite friends
The water was great. They only take cash. It's $15 to park for the day. Bring a big blanket or a chair. The beach area is all rocks. It's also a little difficult to get into the water due to the steep drop. It's nice that there are a few bathrooms. There is a short walk from the parking lot. I really enjoyed my day at Hippie Hollow Park.
Very nice place with cold water but watch out with the sharp stones and your feet. I had a lot of wounds.
I went there with my partner and we loved it. You get to experience a very different atmosphere. Mostly open minded people. Fresh water to swim, and you can also dive on some parts. I definitely recommend this place to you(adults of course) if you want to enjoy something completely different. You don’t have to get naked if you don’t want to. BUT keep in mind this is a nude beach.
Great place. Just know it's clothing optional and 18 + only.
I have always grown up in been told my whole life put your clothes on haha you definitely gotta go you're over the age of 18 go there be naked be free be happy be a hippy live vicariously the water's beautiful just enjoy yourself it's so worth it
I do like coming here to be free and relax altho you do have a person or two that make your experience uncomfortable at times. Come on the weekends where there are lots of people, a mix of girls and guys because they make you feel welcome
Best park on lake Travis, just get over your undeveloped body-negative attitude and enjoy the experience of sun, air and water in your naked body. It's amazing, liberating and good for you.
So liberating.
State funded fun stuff. Love it!
I lo uve it
Beautiful nature and nudist setting
Love it!! Nice area and very chill atmosphere, cant wait to go back
Nude "beach". There's no sand though- just rocks. Definitely bring several towels for cushion if you plan to lay out.
Love to be naked and free. HH is onr of the few parks to go where this can happen.
This was a very different experience for me but it was very relaxing and no one made me feel uncomfortable
Great place. Don't go because you're curious and want to see. Don't bring bad vibes along.
It is awesome that Austin has a government sanctioned nudist beach. It is unfortunate that it is heavily patrolled by rangers who want to ticket you for any sort of human touching that might be construed as a turn-on. While the steep rocky beaches are kind of cool, it is difficult to get in-and-out of the water safely. BTW, did anyone mention that it costs $15/car to get in!
This place was definitely different. We paid $15 for a carload to get in, then when we got there we got to the rock beach part and about 60% of the people were naked. I was like ok, this is different but it was mostly dudes over 50. Not much of a party spot, a little awkward, we didnt stay long. Be careful for zebra mussels because they're like razor blades and you dont see them until it's too late.
Great park, you can enjoy the sun in no matter what state of dress you feel comfortable in. People are always nice and courteous
Very chill place. Folks are incredibly kind. Amazing view of the lake. Highly recommend for weekend fun for any adult.
Love this place!
A lot of fun! As noted, it is a nudist part of the lake, so if you're not comfortable with seeing..personal things.. you might wanna choose a different area, but everyone who was there was respectful and minded their own business! Theres $15 parking, but it's all day and closes at sunset, so in the summer around 9pm
Just a wonderful place to get a little sun on a lot of skin.
Clothing optional... Don't go if you're offended by nudity. Be respectful. No glass. No smoking (anything) and no vaping (or so I was told). Get there early, bring a lunch and make a day of it!
You won't believe that you're in Austin. Love this park!
Neat place for some adult-only sunbathing. Best suited (or "unsuited" shall I say, LOL!) for couples and singles who are mature enough to handle nudity. Most folks go bare, but not all do...it comes down to your comfort level. Lake Travis is a warm, yet refreshing lake outside of Austin. Make sure you bring waterproof, protective footwear, as zebra mussels have gained a foothold along the shoreline and they cut your feet easily. Overall, quite laid back.
Good quite place to tan, listen to music and chill.
I love this place just hate the ignorance and shenanigans...
Well it was a great day to be out on the lake. The view was pleasing to the eye
CLOTHING OPTIONAL NUDE PARK Really great scenery to look at right on the water there's fishing to riding the boats people jet skiing para gliding and people are very very comfortable here and friendly helpful if you need help and is just nice different campsites along rocky slate bits right on the Austin lake would recommend it any time and people are also very respectful so you can come here bear it all and have peace of mind confidence
Great place to spend the day outdoors. For the athletic types, running along the stepped rocky banks offers excellent bouldering.
Interesting, but very fun and welcoming.
Very nice area. No beach, all rocks, but plenty of coves and areas to sun bathe all natural. 18+ so no noisy kids. Friendly folk, no one bothers you, easy to find a place to relax.
Great nude “beach”. Only official and legal nude beach in Texas. Gay side is in the far far left side. Tends to be an older crowd but gets better in the summer and on events such as Splash and Otterfest
Great place to relax free of judgement
It's fun to visit these cliffs in the nude.
Great BBB Lake Party!!!!
Visited for Memorial Day weekend and got naked on Lake Travis! No insecurities or judgements at this County Park. Disabled Veterans, with proof (Disability papers and/or Medical ID), get a $5 pass/window decal to use every time you visit. Glass isn't allowed but cans are that have coozies on them. Staff Security is always watching and on guard to prevent any lewd acts or criminal michief. Water is clean and people leave you alone so this is a good place to go when you want to relax and be privately secluded while naked. Bathrooms are nearby, as well, and although the shore is rocky, the stairs going down and the rocks are pretty safe. Bring a big towel and/or fold out chair! Floaties, noodles, and donut tubes seem to be popular here. Bring a life jacket if you can't swim or aren't a strong swimmer because there are no life guards.
This was the second time visiting Hippie Hollow. It is very beautiful and the people are extremely nice. I had an difficult time getting down the rocks and in the water 2 years ago. This year I needed a knee a replacement but figured there would be access for me to be able to get down and enjoy the sun and possibly at least put my feet in the water.... Nope! Either we were not looking in the right place or there was no "easier" access for me to be able to to enjoy what everyone else was enjoying. I paid $15 to be miserable and upset because I was not able to get down the rock with everyone else. I was very disappointed.
Amazing place. The freest I have been. Very pretty too!
We went super late at @ 7. Very few people there, but the ones that were WERE old men!
Do not go there! Park close at 8.45p, I was there at 8.25p and female attendant said "we close you have to turn around" - rude! For this tiny park they will charge you more even than State parks fee - $15!!! And to be honest, there are a lot of parks around that much better than this one.
First experience. Not bad. Some slightly private areas.
Love it....come here every Austin trip just to enjoy being in the sun and swimming freely without judgment.
I love that this place is available. A clothing optional swimming hole that is just beautiful.
Beautiful area. Very Texas brush. Very rocky and difficult to navigate and torcher to bare feet. Grateful, but Naturist deserve better.
I love HH. It's one of my favorite places to chill and relax. It's pretty comfortable for the most part, if you dont mind the occasional touristy gawker...
Good experience for the open minded. Really makes you feel the nature. Only downside is access to lake is a bit tough. There's rocks in the way that can make it bit of challenge to get to water.
It Is an amazing park the only thing I will say is bring cash it cost 15 to get in a car fee and 5 dollar service fee. But so worth it. I've only been once so far but was definitely worth it. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes since it is walking on rocks. We were under prepared I recommend bringing a cooler, something to float on, and something comfy to lay or sit on the rocks with. But its such a nice lake and beautiful walking path. I will definitely be going back. I love being able to be free in the skin I was born in. Wish I was more open and social would have loved to make friends with other people who love and live the nudist lifestyle. Also its a clothing optional beach.
Going again next weekend
Small, especially for being the only clothes option park in Texas
Sad to see half the beach is underwater since last year. But section 1 has improved alot since my last few visits. Moved alot of rocks off the beach up to the forest area. I love going here for tanning, exercise, socializing, then going to the buffet king afterwards.
Great place to swim or kickback with a few beers. Be wary of mussels when you go swimming
Water was pretty high and tide was strong. Not many places to layout but it was a good Vibe there with courteous respectful people. We will definitely return
Feels great to be out in the open air, completely nude.
All besides the creepy people...good,fun. But you always catch someone trying to sneakily take pics. They need some one to patrol so they can catch those people
$15/car entry, paid in cash (maybe also credit). This is a clothing-optional lake swimming hole. There are a number of old, creepy, naked dudes and folk that will occasionally 'hang out' near good looking naked girls that are with you. And you can't technically ask them to leave, it's public property. But it's relatively easy to avoid if you're kind and don't mind bouncing around a bit. You can bring in alcohol, so long as you don't brandish it's label. Ex. use a koozie with beer or a water bottle with wine/beer.
My favorite place in the Austin area. So natural and beautiful.
This place is such a fantastic get away. It is absolutely gorgeous and the water is so clean! I love coming to the last pavillion to join all of the gays, too. Otterfest was such a blast! It is like a big gay pool party, except you're all nude in a lake instead of a pool. Just be careful climbing those rocks -- they will cut you!
Not enough ammenities but is awesome.
Awesome. Water is up and great.
Owesome place for coupes
Wonderful place to hang by the water and relax and swim for the day... And roast your chestnuts if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Great place on hot summer weekdays. Water level is high today! With the limestone rocks steps, it gives the area a slight Mediterranean feel. Water is a warm 83°F...Enjoy!
Be yourself! You only live once. Don't regret it!
