REVIEWS OF Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier IN Texas

Cecilia

Pretty cool place. They charge to enter as well as ride rides; however, compared to other amusement parks it's not terrible. At the end of the pier you can feed the fish and there are sooo many ready to eat. They sell food and drinks of all types. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon!

Amanda Prince

Not much to do on the Pier for the price of a wristband. There is also a walk-on fee if you don’t want to do any of the 6 ride options there are. The rollercoaster employee on the Iron Shark ignored me telling them multiple times that my harness was not pushed down enough and I was dangerously close to slipping out when the coaster hit the over 90 degree drop. I have been twice and didn’t have such an experience the first time, so I’m going to assume that particular employee was just negligent. With that being said, it is a cute place and worth doing once.

Joelle Loomis

Was a little more than I wanted to pay. Really enjoyed it. Staff were great, more relaxed that the big parks. Cool at night.

Rand Brown

We had a lot fun. Naturally it's not a huge park, but it was nice, clean, and all of the employees were friendly and pleasant. We went right at opening on Sunday and stayed for 4 or 5 hours. There were little to no lines. I know it is much busier at night, especially around holidays. Food and stuff is overpriced, but that is how it is at any park. We just got a souvenir drink cup and refilled it all day for a dollar. My family enjoyed our day at Pleasure Pier and it seems like a place you really have to visit if you are a family visiting Galveston. Cheaper than most of the other entertainment options, except for the beach...

Curtis Walters

Great fun. Great food. Can't wait to go again

Skye Miller

Pretty, but too pretentious for this middle to upper class family. It wasn't so much the price, although the steep $10 just to walk the pier didn't help, but it was the attitude of the box office clerks and the stingyness. The pier was closing in 20 minutes and when we asked the price, having never been there before, she said "full price, no discount and it closes in 20 minutes." OK then, and this is why you will not have me returning.

Drew Carnes

Lots of fun. The rides were good for all levels of adventure seekers in our group. And the kids were pretty happy with the prizes from the carnival games

Yolo_boy73

Its to pricey but it was worth going in all the rides well the ones that weren't the flying swings i went on

Shelly B Brooks

This place was pretty cool. Had a lot to offer but almost everything is very expensive. I wouldn't go here if you're not willing to spend a lot.

Shin Wins

Prices are too high to get on the prier. Even with the military discount, but it's appreciated though!!! I don't ride rides but I would had bought the rides for the family n ate a lot. Need to lower the prices just for the walk-on with no rides included $8 with a family of eight adults n kids... No Go. Budget summer is key!!! But bought Daiquiris and food right outside the pier at the place by Bubba Gump's...

We celebrated my son's 10th bday here and has a great time. He had a blast. We enjoyed the rides, saw dolphins from the top of the texas fling (200 feet up - scary but amazing view). The staff was friendly during the day. Sadly, it ended on a sour note. As we were leaving, my wife said "hang on honey". My son wanted to go to the gift shop at the exit. I turned around and the security guard wouldn't let me in because I had stepped 6 inches across the imaginary line he considered the park entrance. My family was 3 feet behind me but i couldn't join them to go to the gift shop. I ended up waiting outside the gift shop exit but there was no way i was going to spend a penny on that place. So please let whoever was working front gate on 8-11 know that his petty power trip cost them money. If you manage to avoid that guy, you'll have a good time. The day pass is totally worth it.

Cindy Kollias

Tourists love this experience, but it's a bit overpriced for casual dining. If you haven't seen the Forest Gump movie, you may not understand the decor or menu items BUT you can buy a copy of the movie in the gift shop for $15. Tshirts cost $15-40.

LaTricia Snider

We came at opening time so it wasn't crazy busy, it was clean and had a great variety of rides for my 10 and 14 year old. Fun place!

chanel staley

Really neat place for kids! My 2 year old had a blast with the kiddie rides over and over only bad part is I had to ride with him since he is not 42" on the tiny rides which is not real comfortable! My oldest spent hours riding the bumper cars! We didnt try the food since it was so pricey and kids were ready to go to the beach after a few hours in the heat! But a neat experience overall!

Carolann Molina

Loved it. Lots of activities. Come and go all day on a 1 day pass

Pink Flamingo Lawn Services

Lots of fun for the whole family. Better save your money before going though.

GrlNextDoor 666

Very pretty. Not much to do, long lines/crowded, entrance free, overall expensive, and no liquor allowed. Would rather look at it from the beach then go out on to it.

Kisha Morris-Perkins

Had a good time. Could have had more people working the concessions though. Also it was a few times where the acents of the workers were so heavy it was difficult to understand. Loved the diversity of the place though.

CrabbyAbbyRants

The price for the all day ride pass was reasonable, and we had a great time! The rides were fun, especially the Iron Shark coaster. We got soaked and cooled down nicely on the log flume (I’ve forgotten the actual name.) We also had a blast on the extreme swings! We didn’t try any of the concessions, but instead chose to eat at Bubba Gump’s, located right where you enter the pier. It was a great day!

Ashley White

It was affordable & we got to leave & come back as often as we wanted. (all in the same day) They have different packages & my kids & I had an amazing time! My pictures are when we were on the carousel! They have drinks for kids & adult beverages great food. It was an overall great experience.

Ryan Goodwin

A really fun time. My family had a blast!

Melanie Lanoie

The price for all day pass is great for the amount of rides you get to ride! This is my to go stop for when I visit Galveston. The staff here is also super nice! The view from the Ferris wheel is stunning and over looks the ocean.

Saundra Ehrlich

This place is truly fun for the whole family. Lines are not long at all to ride the rides. I was and still am shocked at the speed and that rollercoaster ride was WOW and you are over the ocean. At night the lights come on and it is so pretty. Prices for drinks were decent also..

Debbie Johnson

Great place. Food was a little too pricey. I think if prices were more affordable, u would sell more n quantity.

Kalena Villarreal

What a great little get away from Houston! I had so much fun with my friends. It was the first time I went on a big ride! Also so great that you can come in and out of the park so you can enjoy the beach and the local places around Pleasure Pier

David Schultz

We had a blast while we were n Galveston wait n to board our ship to Cruise

Amber Bell

It was relaxing don't get me wrong and the beach sand was clean just the water had trash floating in it and everything else

Jared Davis

Really fun. Not a whole lot of rides, but you cant expect much on a pier. Definitely worth the visit.

James Kees

Out of only about 16 rides, two were closed, the whole day. 5 rides for kids under 48" and movie theater food prices ... after an entry fee, even if you don't get a ride pass. Overall, not a bad experience if you want to pay for it.

cipriano almaguer

Place is very cool! Don't bother with the crane games they are a waste of time and money. If you come here stick to the food and rides. Avoid carnival games. Other than that I recommend this place to anyone wanting to ride rides!

Brandon Mejia

It’s a great place to hangout with your friends and family. Yes, I understand that many people complain that they can’t get into the pier for free, only with tickets. Either way, it’s not Santa Monica which gets packed as hell. I like how Pleasure Pier adapted too ‘Ticketed Entrance.’ The rides were better than Kemah for sure. What made the experience better is that you are on the beach.

Kelly

I'm from North Texas originally & now retired. I keep finding myself back in Galveston several times a year & lm ready to move here soon. The pier has been totally restored from the Aug 25,2017 cat 4 hurricane. Its clean looks good beaches are well kept lifeguard & the pier has restraints like Bubba Gumps Shrimp Factory along w arcades, gift stores, roller coasters , swings. Cant ask for more beautiful sunrises & sunsets.

Shirley LaFerney

Beautiful place!! We didn't have a lot of time so we didn't pay the $10 each to walk out on the Pier. Looked like lots of fun. Rides, food, games and more!!

Tam Le

Cleanest pier I’ve been to great music and a friendly environment. The $27 day pass was well worth it. My nieces and nephew spent a few hours here and had a blast.

Janie St.Clergy

Loved everything there. So much fun. Spent six hours there and enjoyed every minute of it

Teresa Aupperle

We had so much fun as a family! When they say you are going to get wet on the log ride, they are not kidding! The other rides are extreme carnival rides. Not for the weak!

Paula Riggs

Great fun. Ocean breezes and ride "Pirates Plunge" keep you cool in the hottest of days. Water in cups is free at concession stands. We buy day pass, leave at hottest time of day and return when the temperatures cool. The rides are a lot of fun. Very noisy place. Inexpensive walk-on passes are available if you don't plan to ride.

Shellie Daly

Convenient, not too crowded. Great views from Pier & on rides! Downsides- A bit overpriced for a large family - get the 3 venue pass for best value ( Pleas. Pier, Kemah Bordwalk & 1 other). No water fountains. Have to pay to just enter the amusement part of the Pier, but that does keep the crowds down.

S B

Great place for amazing family fun!!!! Even if you are kidless or single, you would have a blast! Great place to bring some friends.

Thomas Peters-Hall

Nice place, but overly expensive if you just want to ride the ferris wheel. We've done it once and the view was nice. Probably not worth going back to.

Jay Dayz

Super fun to hang out, when I went there were two rides that were not working, which was sad. But other than that it was fun

Carol Hansen

Great way to spend an evening. Kids loved the rides. I liked the live music on Thursday's. Will do again

Amanda Gary

Awesome place! Kids had a blast. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be returning

Penelope Chanel

It was very fun! Me and my best friend went. Fair warning the rides are not for the faint of stomach haha some of them made my stomach flip in ways I didn't know it could lol but hey that means it worked!

jennifer sayles

Can't believe they charge to just walk the pier to spend your money. If I'm there with the kids, I'm spending $$. Don't charge me to spend my money just because I'm not riding the rides. Pretty petty

Joe Lewis

Great place for the kids to spend a few hours in Galveston. Good rides for smaller kids, and bigger rides for adults also. Even a log ride that you get pretty soaked on, people are nice, and great views of the gulf, day or at night

Teresa Franz

There are some good rides, but it is pricey had you have to pay to park. A family of 4 costs $100. We went on a Wednesday evening in June, though, and our longest wait was 20 minutes.

Eddie Brooks

Like most good amusement parks, admission isn't cheap. However, the Pier has some unique attractions that set it apart and it's well-situated right in the heart of Galveston's tourism mecca, Seawall Boulevard. There are rides, games, and food for everyone's taste.

Crystal Banks

This place is VERY nice! Clean and well maintained! Wednesdays is buy one day pass, get one half off. So... That's good. Once u get a wrist band, it's come and go all day. My kids really enjoyed it. I'll have to say... For such a small track, that roller coaster is totally worth riding!! Beer available at several places along pier. If u wait till the end of pier though..... They have Frozen Jack or Crown and Cokes....yum!!

KITTY KᗩYKᗩY

Very open and scenic views! Fun rides and games for kids and adults! Enjoy bumper cars! Eat ice cream! Win toys! Ride the Ferris wheel! There's so many things to do at Pleasure Pier, I stayed almost have the day there on my trip to Galveston and it was amazing! Definitely will continue going with family in the future.

Jocelyn Lozano

Really fun place for kids and adults it's a little pricey but it's still really fun. I loved the iron shark roller coaster I thought it was going to be really scary but it's not. I must have rode that ride at least ten times and I was with my cousins so it was really fun

Matt Badgley

the place is fun.. but after I paid 100 bucks for tickets they said I couldn't bring my luggage in.. not posted anywhere.. one adult had to wait outside while the other 4 had fun..would have been nice to have that on the rules.. guess they just make shi%$ up as they go

Azhar Shaikh

Despite of this place being so far from my place where I live, I always cherish the memories that I get after visiting this place. It is a very nice beach clean and neat. Amazing crowd and well maintained area......Fun and enjoyment is at its best at this place.. Relaxation and entertainment at the nearby bars gives you an amazing experience. Loved it!!!!!! A must visit.

Copper Crown

So much fun, Outstanding Service and good food. I love coming here and will keep coming back

Natalie Menjivar

So much fun. Incredible experience riding those rides and flying above the water. Make sure to wear shorts if you are going to get on the water ride.

Kristle Everts

We love pleasure pier but this visit not only were we charges for a 1 year old, there were several rides closed. If we would have known that ahead of time we could have bought individual tickets. Paid full price to ride 3 adult rides.

Tania Villanueva

Great place to have fun! Just needs more food options! But good overall!

Rosai Lollipop

Came here for a weekend getaway for my anniversary. Everything here is absolutely beautiful

Cynthia Weaver

Pleasure pier is a fun carnival on a pier jutting out into the Gulf of Mexico. They have nimerous games to play to win stuffed animals/toys as well as rides - a small roller coaster, a log ride, carousel, pirate ship and more. You can pay $10 per person to just walk around, but not ride. If you want to ride, the admission is $26.99. It was really crowded and it was getting late after dinner so we just took pictures from the beach. Maybe next we will have more time for the rides...

Janis Hope Luu

Awesome atmosphere. I can't lie, it is a touristy place, so be prepared to spend some money. You do have to pay just to enter the pier and walk around. Then you pay for any attractions you want to ride. We had dinner at Bubba Gumps. Food was awesome!

Brianna Lewis

Awesome family friendly fun experience with my husband and daughters, age 10 and 7. A nice variety of rides and games — enough to keep everyone occupied for several hours. Best part of it was NO lines to contend with. Highly recommend!

Tommy Martinez

The amusement pier was fun but kinda expensive....Kids had a blast and that’s all the matters while visiting a place like this on the beach! We went in as spectators at first but then upgraded to unlimited rides after. The kids got plenty of rides in and they kept trying to convince us to ride this log ride so they could get us wet! Overall we all had a blast and regardless of the cost, it was worth it.

Anthony Salcido

Definitely

Daniel Beauchamp

The food looked good but the shrimp was overcooked and cold, and so was the fish. I asked for a very simple drink a Makers Mark on the rocks. They didn't know how to make it so they gave me a shot of bourbon.

Kimberly Ferguson

My first time visiting the amusement park and it did not disappoint.

Theresa Douglas

Kids loved it. Made this old adult feel like a kid again going on the rides.

Chris Carpentier

Very impressive. The cleanest small amusement park I've ever been to. Owned and operated by Landrys, this park is a guaranteed food time.

Jaycie Jones

Way over priced. We thought this was going to be a great experience while we were in vacation but it was a major let down. They don’t explain anything at the ticket window on how the tickets work so unless you buy the whole pass plus the pass to just walk into the pier which is $10, you only get one ticket for rides and only can ride one unless you buy the whole package which is super expensive for big families. We won’t be going back. I wouldn’t recommend this at all. The beach is way better by itself.

Nick Baird

Took my family, we had a blast. Fun place. Friendly staff

Rob Will

Worth a visit. Great spot to stop

Marina Paulson

It is a cute little place. A bit different. But I don't think it was worth $40 a person. We went on every ride and were done in an hour and a half.

Jared Samonte

The rides are okay, the atmosphere is amazing, but the employees suck. The people working at the picture booth told me it would be $18.40 for a pair medium size pictures. I bought 2 for 18.40 each. All is good until my banking app tells me I got charged $18.40 + $18.40 + $36.80. This extra $36.80 came from nowhere. I called them only for them to give me some BS phone number to call. Long story short, they have con artists working there.

Bea S.

Wonderful place to visit. I can't wait to go back. The only thing I don't like is that one has to pay admission, even if you just want to walk the pier. Not every visitor wants to do the rides.

Susie Wimberly

Fun place for families or couples! Definitely try the Ferris wheel!

Eileen Riverside

Dude- that was so much more expensive than I expected! It's bigger than it appears and there's rides for my toddlers including their first bumper cars. But it's hot, water is expensive, heck to even walk on the pier was nearly $20 without a ride ticket! Geez.

Beltri

Though I feel it's overpriced, my family enjoyed it very much. I recommend purchasing the all day wristbands. You are able to re enter the park on the same day.

Ihsan Elashyi

Beach front, relaxing. Makes you live in cloud 7, o more depression, no more headache, no more boredom. It just feel good

AfghanVet 88

Overpriced! If they wouldn't charge you JUST to walk on the pier I would say yes you are paying for entertainment so charge what you want. But seriously those rides aren't worth paying $20 per person just to look at. Looks great at night from the beach!

Ronnie Thibodeaux

Awesome place to bring the kids to kill a few hours on weekend getaway. And satisfies the big inner kid in the adult parents.

Christy Brown

It's a great place to hear live music. If you loke the fair, you will love this place!

Brandy Coyle

The rides were great and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. We went a little late in the day but are still glad we went. Food is a but expensive but you get a lot. The funnel cake is delicious and a meal in itself.

kevin vieth

Very disappointing! Should have researched first but hopefully others will see this. We just wanted to spend a little time in Galveston and see the pier. We paid the 10.00 to park, walked across the street only to discover that you had to pay 10.00 per person to just walk onto the pier. I was not about to pay 40.00 (4 people) to walk onto a pier. I can understand paying for the rides but....

Dank Tank Drag Kings

We are an autism family. The blue Bell ice cream shop lady helped us avoid a total melt down when our kids was pointing at pistachio and asking for mint. After talking to a co-worker for a bit he kept asking for mint mint and pointing at pistachio. Thankfully the female attendant noticed and pointed out the mint on the other half of the bar and let him try a bit to be sure all without parents prompting. And after a ride one kiddo was having a little bit of a sensory overload were were helped first off the ride and pointed to a better spot to sit in the shade nearby. We had a hiccup on one ride with an attendant not noticing his belt stuck but there other 20 people we encountered as far as staff were very welcoming and receptive even during the weird moments.

John Hayden

Galveston is one of my favorite places in the whole world. An easy day trip from Houston. Lots to do and great food. Cleansing and refreshing place we are lucky to have close by.

Susan Westcott

When we visited the pier wasn't open until the evening. Was expensive just to walk along it as we wouldn't have used the rides it others seemed to have fun. We have piers just as good at home (UK). Loved Galveston even though we arrived by driving through A tropical storm Imelda. An interesting experience! LOL X

Courtney Walker

We so enjoyed this part of our trip to Galveston. I don't know anyone else who can say they've been to an amusement park on the ocean. We loved the experience and our kids are already anticipating our next trip!

Justin Neumann

This place was so much fun. Had some of the best corn dogs I've ever had and also good to just hang out and enjoy the ocean on a beautiful night. Plenty of things to do here and dont forget the candy store while there plenty of selection.

CoachNiki DotCom

The history of the pier is interesting and worth learning. The tickets are expensive for the small space, but you can get it cheaper online on their website. (Well worth it to get them online) There is a fee just to walk the pier as well without riding the rides.

Chinwe E

Fun fun fun!! Kids loved it and there were enough rides they could go on for their height! Definitely a must do for a Galveston visit. Ticket for adult was $26.99 for 48” above and $19.99 for 48” under. There’s parking on the street for $2 for 2 hours and after 6pm it’s free.

Shelly Wood

Grandkids had a great time. Rides were awesome. Games were fun. Price is average for a carnival atmosphere.

Stephen H

Had such a fun time with my family! We went on almost every ride more than once, so the day pass is worth the buy! You can't have a bad time when the ocean is right next to you. Such a beautiful area! Will definitely return in the future.

Jonatan Lopez

Great place to spend time with the kids. The seafood restaurant at the entrance is very good and clean. We enjoyed the staying in this area.

Lynn Dixon

Pretty neat little place to visit. You have to pay to get on the pier and pay to ride rides too can't just walk around for free.

Tina Thomas

About an 1 hr away from Houston but it was worth the drive. Beautiful scenery just stop by to relax on vacation didn’t go on any amusement rides but enjoyed the gulf coast waters the weather was just right. I really enjoyed the beach. Being here with family was very exciting. Will love to come back again❤️❤️❤️❤️

Devender

Typical tourist place with a lot of people and kids. Bunch of rides, if you are into it. Can find peaceful beaches around. Parking is not a problem, street parking is plenty, keep driving and you will find an open spot.

Amanda Davis

The rides and games is superb. The amusement park is clean and the staffs were very friendly to all customers. There was a time that I was asking for a direction and they provide such answers which helped a lot. Varieties of food are present which gave me a wide range of selection. This place gave me so much fun.

Lexi Herrington

always a fun place to go. great rides. good prices, good staff, clean, organized

Adriana Paredes

Such an awesome place to visit. We loved our mini vacation to the area. Lots to see and shop for with plenty of choices for meals. Fun eclectic area! Can't wait to return!

David Walton

Not my thing but as ocean piers go..The Pleasure Pier is probably one of the nicest I've seen. Or perhaps least creepy. Lots of families visiting with a festive atmosphere. Seems to have pretty cool attractions.

Patricia Stevenson

Fun! More rides than I thought. All day pass is pretty reasonable price. I had teenagers with me, so within about 2 hours they were slowing down and getting bored. Tried to do the 5D shark ride but it was across the street from the actual pier and a bit inconvenient for my group, seeing as we showed up about 3 hours before closing.

Luis Quintero

7/15/19 - 1st time at Pleasure Pier & have to say that it was a fun & entertaining experience, $100 for 5 family members (3 walk on the Pier & 2 on the rides) since it was noon on a Monday no wait times for the rides. Would recommend to all to enjoy & go to Kehmah for more entertainment after & food

Jo Womack

I really liked the 7 and under area. My little ones loved it. I appreciated that they had so many rides for very little kids. BUT...several adult rides were not working. We paid for an all day pass but it's not useful if what you want doesn't work.

Cory Cole

The place looks fun and I wanted to walk around and see what it was all about.... however, they charge you $10 just to enter. Not reviewing the experience, just reviewing the fact that its a tourist trap...

daryl hocutt

Get the day pass for all rides. Worth the money! Loved the shark coaster!

RanDina Butler

A lot of rides were closed for maintenance. We paid to do the walk around..18.51.And that's what we did..we walked from the entrance to the end and back out. There was no music on the stage...The places to buy a drink were not open and nothing for grown ups to do.If you have little children it might be worth while..other than that save your money.

Tim Stevenson Jr

Has a great family environment with some awesome rides! However, the "circus" style games (like ring toss, basketball free throw, or darts, etc)to play are under manned, and need a better change system. For example, if you use cash to play games the workers need to run to find change. However, you can buy tokens to use at the entrance. On the positive side, the prizes are worth the money paid and the rides are amazing. Overall, 4.5 out of 5.0 recommended.

Dee Dee Mitchell

Came here with my friends and their kids and had a good time. It's not huge with a ton of rides but it was fun and it was really beautiful to literally be right over the ocean. Lots of families here which was really nice. I would definitely come here again.

Stewart Smith

This place is way overpriced in many respects. If you just want to walk the pier, a $10.00 charge. There is a sign on each ticket window directing you ask about your military discount. I presented my ID and was told there was no discount for walking the pier. I normally don't get to excited about issues regarding military discounts, but when advertise that you need to inquire then renege...just saying. The shops are minimal and way overpriced. 2 bottles of water 7 dollars is ridiculous, not to mention the cost of games, the ring toss, free throw basketball...etc.. The charge for the rides is reasonable if you buy the pass and is the reason for the two stars instead of one. Much better ways to spend your money in Galveston.

Jesus Ledezma

Had a amazing time with my family and my boys enjoyed every moment. It definitely has better rides than Kemah Boardwalk.

Cheryl Daves

Nice place but to just go into the amusement park you have to pay like $9.95 no rides included!

Cindy Daugherty

A great little spot to hang out with kids! Having said that, an adult sight-seer, you still have to pay to get in, even if you're not riding. Be prepared to pay for parking, and $10 each just to walk through. We walked the length of the pier, took some photos, and bought some souveniers before leaving. It would be nice if your ticket could be discounted when purchasing food or items on the pier.

Devin Moore

I love the beach. People were friendly and attractions are cool. A little expensive though

Ulrike Beelar

Took my sister who was visiting from Europe. For the best view of the island, I highly suggest taken a ride on the ferries wheel. Beautiful day, beautiful weather & blue water!

Karen Green

Absolutely love this place. I can't wait to go back!!! Great food all around. Friendly people!! Happy place.

P J Sridhar

It was enjoyable ride with car in a ship. It was wonderful enjoyable experience. The beautiful sea gull (I THINK) is following when we throw food was very nice. Take some food for sea gull. Watched beautiful Dolphins jumping from long. I had very good time here. I appreciate the regulation they made and to my wonder the ride is free. Please dont miss if you are in Texas. I.didnt get time to visit more places in Galveston as it is historic place too

Debbie Smith

Good time had by all. Rides were great, watched the sunset from the pier with a g&t. Just beautiful

Mariama

Great for families. $10 per person to walk around. $86-$100 for a family of 4 package. $5 for individual rides. Military discount only during the day. Parking can be an annoyance but it's not horrible if you dont mind a quick strool you can park in neighborhoods and walk. Many streets have 2 hour parking so read before you park and enjoy the walk.

Katie Grice

I had a fantastic time here. Barely had to wait in line, spectacular view, and perfect for the entire family.

Randy Khamvongsa

Rides were great. Value was good (we got a deal on two all day adult tickets for $35). Staff were friendly. Facilities were in good condition.

Ryan Broos

Not worth the $10 just for walking on the pier. There are less than 10 games you can play with the family and only 4 arcades, however, there are a lot of claw machines. If you want to eat, I recommend eating before coming here. Now, if you want to get on rides, then this is the place for you. The cost of entry plus the cost of unlimited rides may be worth it. There are plenty of fun rides for you to enjoy. I did not go on rides so I cannot properly rate them, however, I will note that these are very similar to carnival or fair rides.

sarah schrader

My kids loved this. We got the all day wrist bands, it's the best option as far as pricing. We were able to exit the pier and return later with our same bands. Everyone was very nice. My girls favorite was the water ride, you get absolutely soaking wet!!!! My hubby and and I loved walking all the way to the end of the pier, the view was amazing and the breeze was just what we needed on a hot summer day.

Ragued

Even tho the water is not as crystal clear but the concept of escaping a moment in family very convivial many activities and restaurants, ideally cruising on boats or jetski. Walking and sharing a beverage while absorbing some melanin and smelling some sea air while listening to birds transportation guaranteed ( recommend sunset time beautiful scenery)

Veronica Cleveland

Awesome had a good time, they could improve on the parking too almost an hour to exit the parking lot

Meagan Something

Hands down, one of the best places in Galveston. My son loved the carousel, and the bigger rides were a lot of fun.

Savannah Mcglocklin

Good pricing for all day ride passes. U can come and go all day! Wish there were more rides...good fun

Renay Land

Was an amazing experience. Didn't ride nothing due to being cold but for the first time going couldn't be a better experience. Fascinating view

Nonya Business

I was really surprised. We went on a Monday night and hardly waited in any lines. There was plenty to do for kiddos big and small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was kept clean. There was also plenty of seating available for those who want to kick back and enjoy the salty ocean air. My kids are ready to go back already.

Kevan Long

Awesome place to take the family! I highly recommend a visit if your going to Galveston.

We had a fun time. My 5 year old grandson had a wonderful time. Very nice attraction.

Don't let the gleaming lights tempt you into spending money here! Don't get me wrong, it's an eye catcher, but take pictures and keep going! First off, you have to have a wristband that costs you $10 right off the bat to even walk on the pier. If you're going with family/kids, be prepared to shell out even more in wristbands and ride costs as some of them are $8 a ride! Little kids (2-4, maybe even 5), dont even waste your time, they can only ride like 2 rides. They made pretty much all the rides where they have to be accompanied by someone which they want a ticket for the person accompanying as well (more $). Some of the rides, like "Big Wheelin'" which is no more than a stationary power wheels ride in a circle, they wanted parents to accompany and the cars were only big enough for the kids (kids were totally able to ride by themselves)!

FlamingFox Killer

Had a great time. They didn't have any souvenir cups though and a bottle of water was 3.75. Like most theme parks, concessions are overpriced

I absolutely loved it here! It was fun, lines were not long and we had a really good day! The children absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning again! Highly recommended! Everything was easily accessible and we were nice and cool. The only problem was the parking..we actually had to walk a good long ways to get there but other than that it was awesome!

Jessica Tressel

Kids had fun! No wait for rides on the Tuesday we visited. Even saw dolphins while we rode the big swing.

Nicholas Dohne

Our family went here on a Tuesday in June. Weather was wonderful, virtually no lines for anything, wonderful staff, and an overall amazing experience. Your wrist bands are good for the whole day and you can come and go as you please. We went in the afternoon and came back after dinner. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unique park experience in Galveston, TX.

Very neat place. Very pretty only thing I didn't like was you have to pay 10.00 just to walk the pier.

Gee Roc

Good job keeping the lines down on a busy holiday weekend, also pleasantly surprised on the value for the all day passes. Employees are helpful, professional and polite despite the heat and at times, trying children. Just don't eat here or order their drinks, as most carnival places tend to be, over priced, small portions and low quality.

Kacee Jackson

This is a lot of fun. Definitely a Lotta fun to go with kids of all ages. There are a few rides for kids under 42”, but over that provides a lot of options.

Beach was great, make sure to get a local beach parking pass before you get to the flats! Can be found at local grocery stores. Also don't park your car amongst the dunes to avoid getting in trouble. Vehicles on main sand strip only. Would definitely return.

Peter Reynolds

We had a great time. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and the lines were short. The pier is tightly packed with great rides. Will do again!

This place is so enjoyable. It's clean, and well kept....It's a little pricey, but my 4 yr old grandaughter loved it, and that's all that matters

Roy Tijerina

Save your money and do something else. there's really nothing to see so don't waste 10.00 to walk around. if you want pictures of the pier go to the beach the view is much better

Veronica Johnson-Carter

Had a great time taking my grandson for his first time to Galveston.. We're coming back again to ride the Ferris wheel!

Dina Reyes

It was a beautiful day in Galveston, Texas. Oh to be fearless again, not today! I will sit off to the side and watch the folks scream and panic to the euphoria from each ride. Good times!

Christopher Cote

This place was really fun! Like most amusement parks, the food and drink is overpriced and water fountains are non-existent. We went during the week and the lines were very short and we rarely had to wait. We passed by the pier on a weekend and it looked like mad house, so I'd definitely suggest trying to go during the week, if possible!

Daniel De La Rosa

We had a good time here over the weekend. Fun for the family!

We had a great time at the pleasure pier! For one price the whole family received wristbands for unlimited all day rides. The ferris wheel at the end of the pier gives a great view of the Gulf of Mexico and of Galveston. The swings offered an even better view we were able to see fish, turtles, and even dolphins from their dizzying height. The roller coaster was intense, starting with a straight up climb then a sudden drop followed by several loops. The pier is the perfect attraction for thrill seekers. Food and drinks were high but with your wristband you can come and go as you please. My family had a great time at Pleasure Pier!

Christoph Lee

The family always has a blast here. Plenty of things to do and food to munch on. The rides encompass all ages and heights so nobody is left out. You can spend all day here and not get burnt out. Pricing is fair for a themed attraction like this. It's nice too that you can leave your wrist band on go explore Galveston some and come back into the pier at a later time during the day.

Was such an amazing experience! Quite a few games and rides here but staff showed true southern hospitality! They made the experience much more enjoyable my favorite being the candy store and attendant! Love Galveston!

Elia Hurst

Very fun! My daughter's (2 & 6) loved the rides. The littlest could only do the carousel, but the oldest loved the super high (200 ft) swing!

Erika Wall

The ride lines were short and we were able to ride most of the rides in about three hours. I was very impressed at how clean the pier was. My only complaint is that we could not bring in bottled water and we weren't able to find one water fountain. A16 oz bottle water was $3.75! I would have given the pier 5 stars if water would have been reasonable and easily accessible. Having to spend nearly twenty dollars a person for water while at the park is pretty ridiculous.

Fred Holliday

Always the choice when you can't nail down a place to eat! Cracker Barrell is consistent in its food and service. Love this place!

Robert Bell

All day pass is worth the money. The roller coaster was awesome. A few rides were under maintenance but had a ton of fun.

Crysta Love

My son and I had so much fun. It was a blast we got on most of the rides. The staff was friendly. I loved the guess my age guy. He was cute and friendly.

Kevin Richardson

Looks like fun, $10 to walk pier, $16 all day ride pass

Robyn Horn

Kids loved it! Picking you wrist bands was a pain so research what you want before you get there! We went at night it was cooler and less crowded!

Surprisingly well suited for a fun family day. Rides are perfect for elementary and middle school kids. Not too busy on Sunday of the labor day weekend.

Garrett Massie

Great experience for the kids, and if you go on a weekday there is never any wait. Prices aren't bad either. It's a annually traditional for our family.
