This Park is included in the category of Park.
It's a fun places to go
Ample parking space, trash receptacles everywhere as a result a very clean park. The numerous soccer pitches were enough for my local Saturday morning pick up game. Very breezy park with picnic benches and tables. A must visit if you are in the area and just want some fresh air or enjoy a game of baseball, soccer.
Lots of tables and parking. Nice walking trails through the woods. Saw lots of birds. Wear mosquito repellent in the woods!
I love this park because it's shaded and the paths are wide and concrete. Great for biking or walking.
we love it!!! water spout area in summer is great for the kids. we took our dog there one time w our kids when it was empty and they had a blast!
I don't remember going here three days ago? Guess I should go and check it out? Looks pretty. Do they have horses? That's awesome!
Nice soccer field park ,,restrooms need some work but fields are in good shape
Love love love this park!!! nice and green!! The only thing I wish is that they'd clean the trash that collects in the small rivers and waterways in the springtime. I once rescued a little turtle from a plastic bag. Other than that very nice park, I have never been during the night but as early as 5am there are little old ladies and bikers cruising the sidewalks so you wont feel so alone!
You Maybe Judge For All, Because Nothing can not be exit for ever Kevin'S"s Single Star
I like the bike trails and nice woods
The big and beautiful park With Mysterious and occult trees
nice place, safe and clean...
Loved the trail. We rode our bikes with the kids and they enjoyed it. Beautiful park a little lonely today.
Great park. Kids had a great time and we had an awesome softball game!!!
Excellent soccer fields
Fantastic and gorgeous bike trails for a gentle afternoon ride on a clear day, along with wide open fields and spaces for decent sized social gatherings, it's a hidden paradise.
Nice facilities but my car was broken into the last time we went over a year ago, and you could see several parking spots with broken glass, indicating it had happened to others as well. I also had a co-worker tell me the same thing happened to her car in the last two weeks.
Great park for picnics and activities. Lots of trees provide plenty of shade. Soccer fields and a pavilion, public restrooms and lots of concrete picnic tables. Garbage cans available for everyone to clean up after themselves.
Wonderfull and peacefull place!!
Nice place to relax
The softball fields were average and the bathrooms flooded
Beautiful and we'll maintained!
Great place to go tob
Fun place for family outings. Plentiful shade.
We reserved a pavillion with no problem. The play set area is small but real chill. There are 8 picnic tables per pavillion and more tables around. There is only one outlet for electricity and in our case the fuse tripped. Luckily there were grounds keepers collecting garbage at the time and they turned the fuse back on. Our pavillion light was out and the tables were very very dirty. Also there were roaches on the ground and flying around, spiders hiding under the tables, and wasp nests in the pavillion. There was no soap in the dirty bathrooms and the women's room hand dryer doesn't work. This place needs some work.
Very nice park. They hold great events and have very nice fields.
Nice park
Nice Place
Loved that everything was close by and plenty of shade
Cool place
One of the few places I have seen fire flies.
This park is just okay. I like it because it is close to my apartment and generally pretty quiet but it floods, easily and often, due to Mayde Creek and often times the trails are quite muddy. There is a paved stretch that takes you east/west through the park that is pretty nice and is not negatively impacted by the rain. And the park is rarely ever crowded so if you're looking for a quiet nature stroll, this is good for that. I wish this park received more attention in terms of maintenance and upkeep. I'm not even sure the restrooms are ever open? If you play Pokemon Go this is a good park to go to to hit some easy poke stops.
Not the best for blackberries. But awesome for wildlife. And 3 sections of playground for the kids
Baseball, tennis, playground & basketball. There's even a track around the park to walk\run
They need to fix the bathrooms!
Nice little quiet clean park for picnic and has a splash pad. My son enjoyed it!!
The natural wilderness.
Very lovely park. We went to have a brunch picnic. Was quiet and serene . clean and well maintained.
Nice park. Only complaint I have is, they need some maintenance, cleaning done. Bathrooms are dirty and smell really bad. No soap to wash your hands.
Large park with a pavilion, running trail (N Trail), a lot of benches around the park to relax, Small trail near the pavilion so that you can do a small jogging. There is a splash pad but it is not working at the moment. Few drinking water fountains around the trail and a restroom. Apart from the trail there are four large baseball fields, four football parks, The Alkek Velodrome, it is a 333 meter concrete track. Good parking space for vehicles.
Nice trails l, shaded well and two playgrounds for the kids
Houston has a good number of parks available for recreation at no cost to those who visit. Some of the parks have made a name for themselves due to their open visibility, but there are other parks that, in spite of their significant size, remain generally unknown. One of them is Cullen Park in west Houston, right next to Katy. Cullen Park is a multi- purpose park and visitors will find baseball fields, soccer fields, playgrounds, covered pavilions, a bike track, walking trails, etc. The area is mostly wooded and it is common to see deer and other wildlife. The main reason I like to visit Cullen Park is the walking trails. They have a few, but the one I like best is also the longest trail in the park. It starts in the Phase 2 picnic area, right next to the exercise area, and it continues all the way to Highway 6. The total length of the path is almost 3.5 miles, so a walk all the way to the end and back is close to 7 miles total length. There are wooden markers along the path, marking the miles in quarter- mile increments. This is very handy for those who like to track their miles walked. This long path is good for walking or bicycling and it even passes by an historic cemetery. It is common to see people walking their dogs along the trails in Cullen Park and I like that there are so many tall trees to keep it mostly shaded. There are a few open spots, but the majority of the time spent on the trails is shielded from the sun, and that means you don’t need sunscreen. There are benches along the path for resting and I like how there are so many trash receptacles along the path and throughout the park, to keep things clean. Cullen Park isn’t as popular as other Houston parks and the main reason for this is the fact that it is located on Saums Road, which is not a major throughway. I live near the park and didn’t even know it existed for many years. Now that I know about this park, there is an excellent chance I will be returning in the future. It’s a good place for recreation and exercise here in west Houston.
There are nice, shady trails that are perfect for walking, jogging in the summer.
It was nice but I was unhappy that the splash pad was not working.
Nice place to go, enjoyed taking my dog for a walk at this beautiful park
Nice park. Big pavilions. Two playgrounds. Lots of really cool trails to explore. Three restrooms with like five stalls in each one. Regular toilets, instead of those metal ones. We will be back.
Beautiful place. but if your fishing , be aware that there is a lot of hydrilla in the lake
Had a wonderful time with my family
I love this park, always beautiful and my family has a great time.
Cool...
Family friendly. Soccer and more
Cullen Park is a running resource in Houston. However, you have to try not getting killed crossing a four lane w median Barker Cypress intersection. The actual trail is falling apart---so expect to spend yr time watching yr feet to avoid tripping & stepping on all the many snakes there.I saw a bobcat ,a coyote who all looked very hungry. Also the trail floods immediately w any rain. I miss Portland,Oregon where you can run virtually anywhere cause there is no CONCRETE JUNGLE to deal with. I give it 2 stars by virtue of having such limited options to train here.
This is where I do lunch daily.
I came to the park to walk the trails and found them to be a good walking surface and well shaded by trees. There were many families bicycling and having picnics. Mayde Creek runs along part of the trails and provides a relaxing sound, creates a peaceful atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
I love going to this park. I do a lot of my walking there. It's very quiet and peaceful..
nice trail
Nice softball fields. Very large park.
Great place to enjoy your day!
Cool place to feed the ducks and watch the sunset.
Select Plumbing Leak investigators repair a water leak
Under construction. River had alot of plant buildup. Needed to be cleaned.
Very cool to see turtles and snails in the water. I saw about 5 people fishing but nobody caught anything. Overall, a very relaxing experience.
Very cool and awesome
Great for soccer but gets puddles easily
Amazing plwce to walk
Nice park with trails leading to hwy 6
I love to visit and enjoy a relaxing walk
Cool place, wish they’re were nature trails though. The paved cement trail is cool for running or cycling if you’re into that. Saw signs of wildlife but didn’t actually see any.
It's great I go there every Sunday
Lots of trees to walk through, bathrooms, covered tables and playgrounds. It also has Pokestops and a gym.
I absolutely love riding my bike surrounded by nature, hidden in the middle of such a bust city. There is something poetic and therapeutic about this place.
Nice hiking/walking. Prone to flooding and needs to be maintained bett
The place is beutifull, but I have seen so many times cars with broken windows, that I found it unsafe to go there anymore.
Nice park to go with family
I spent so many days endlessly biking the paths here. Great for those who just like to wonder. The park does flood during heavy rain. Take a friend and some snacks. The bike paths connect you with other parks.
Bigger than you think it is
Shaded running and biking trail in West Houston. Perfect morning exercise route.
Great lil' park for all littles!!
Excellent place for a run during the afternoon.
This park is perfect for families or anyone who loves nature and outdoors. The trails here are beautiful and shaded but could use more adequate structure. A perfect place to walk to clear your mind or meditate as I do. Do not depend or rely on Google Maps for accuracies on the locations of trails, you may venture off map and get lost. However, it is generally safe. You'll discover interesting routes and explore beautiful scenery but always watch your step. Some restrooms are closed for unknown reasons. Ultimately, a serene and one of my top favorite place.
Was clean, weather was perfect. Just no one was there. The cops were even nice .
Nice park for a walk or run and to take the family liked the park
Nice smaller park with shade
This place is awesome, not crowded and really beautiful. Only part that is a little inconvenient is having people bring their pets and letting them run around and my kids who are crazy for dogs chasing them and all the awkwardness that comes with that. Maybe make the children’s playground a pet free area.
Great park with new playground equipment and trails for runner/bikers. Also plenty of open spaces for other activities. Once and awhile it gets flooded but typically drains quickly.
I don't like this place at all. There are 2 separate parts on either side of Saums road. The one to the South is big, beautifully maintained sports fields with high chain link fences around them and locked gates that just scream, "We don't want your kind here!". On the North of Saums road is a ratty potholed road with trash strewn playgrounds and a few very badly maintained fields with ankle high weeds. That's for the rest of us. Go just a bit East to Bear Creek Pioneers Park and find a welcoming and well maintained park open to all.
It's a great place to have a get together with friends and family. Our family has been hosting Easter get together for at least the last 4 years here. Sometimes we do birthdays too.
Love this park.
Good place to visit
Nice and clean. Not overrun by law enforcer bullies.
Good running route around the dam/reservoirs.
Mery peace full
Forest therapy? What not to love. Karma, my german shepard mixed malamute enjoyed a walk through the forest. Nice and relaxing...very therapeutic. Just you and the forest. The trail we walked on was about 3 miles long. Beginning of the trail you'll sed birdhouses and mile markers. Alongside the trail youll come across some beauty berries for the birds. You'll see some gaurras and mimosas. At the end of the trail is an open field and Karma and loved running into the open field.
Big park with walking and bike trails. There are also a couple playgrounds, soccer and baseball fields, a velodrome (I have never used it, so I don't know how accessible it is), and if you go during the warm months, plenty of mosquitos. It is a cool place, and we go there all the time.
Better than expected
Great trails for walking, running or bike riding.
Could be cleaner but still a nice trail
What used to be a beautiful park to walk and bring the kids with clean restrooms... seems to have been abandoned, restrooms are now locked up and the place is overgrown and not Well maintained. Hope to see it perked back up again in the future.
We love this park. Specially in mornings when the weather is amazing. Usually well maintained. We wish they would clean up faster. But we appreciate them nevertheless
Great park except when mosquito eat you alive
Workout Saturday morning
Good plc for excersice
Good park for sports practices. The trails for running and exercising are a bit run down.
Love the outdoor gym. Wish it was kept up better.
Excellent park. Good place to park at.
It's a fun park
Great hiking and biking place then have a bite to eat on the many tables. Trails are shaded as they guide you through woodlands. Great trails anytime of the year including the winter.
Great park
Wide open park with a joining hike and bike trail.
Lots of lush green fields.
Quiet and peaceful
Love this place
Very nice place to bring the family. There is plenty of space to barbecue and a small duck pond.
Good place for jogging and biking. You might see deers and rabbit along the way.
close to home and my grand kids love the Park and best when the swimming pool is Open
Solitary please ..plus a cemetery very close ...
Husband and I went to the park to walk very successful walk only a couple of people were there very quiet
They have a splash pad but its never open this is sad
Beautiful place to hike with no one else around. Very wet and muddy though be prepared
Nice big park with plenty to do. Soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball courts, gazebos and grills and it's all very well maintained.
This is me and my boyfriends get away from work.
Nice and quiet. Family friendly wooded trail. Clean restrooms. Good parking.
Good Place.
Huge park! Camp grounds, soccer and baseball fields. Nice place to go to get away from the city in the city. Just need better markers at night to get around. Most people can get lost.
A nice park with waterfall for kids, picnic/barbecue areas and lot of soccer fields. Plus, there is a gas station just across from it if you need to go get drinks or ice during your barbecue or games.
The sports field are really will maintained. Trimmed grass, racked dirt on the softball fields, nets oh the soccer fields. The promenade not so much. The bathrooms weren't very clean, there was rust on the piping and walls. Parking is very good and appears to be safe. We had a great event this Friday.
Good place to walk, picnic, and play something. Nice for families.
great place to take photos.
awesome place to bike ride or take the kids to the park walk the trail see the birds
Ive shot archery there for more than 15 years at buffalo archery club great family sport the range is open for public visit on saturdays from 8 am till 12 noon
Nice greenery nearby. Fun driving!
Very relaxing park, pet friendly and quiet.
Played adult league softball here, always clean fields and very well lit
Had fun with my kids, they loved the water splash park for kids
Adult softball and soccer fields. Surrounded by beautiful park with lots of picnic tables, huge oak trees and plenty of parking.
Would be nice if they had a clean up crew to pick up trash in the trails
Yeah! Good place to take the family.
Large, clean, family-friendly park.
This is an underrated park. The playgrounds are updated and it's been cleaned up a lot since Harvey. The trail in the back goes all the way to highway six and passes the West Houston Airport as well as a small old graveyard. Many pavilions and playgrounds. The trails are all paved but there are some unofficial trails through the woods people have made.
Great place when is not flooded
It's got a convenient location with entrances on Barker Cypress and highway six. The trail is a single path and windy. The trees are manicured back well enough, and the playground has the preferred pebbles of my youth under the equipment. There are restrooms and large fields in the center for playing ball. I go here to run in mornings with often, it's a perfect in between spot for us to meet. The trees keep the air cool bit longer and then shade around more. My only qualm with this place really isn't anyone's fault but nature's. When you run or hike here you need to be weary of snakes. Not so much in the morning or in winter. But seriously this place is a scene out of Indiana Jones when it's sunny summertime. Snakes come out of the wet woods to sun themselves on the asphalt path. And the cotton mouths blend right in and have been knows the strike at your shoes. Beware. Keep your animals on a leash so you can keep them safe.
Nice park. Still recovering from Harvey in some areas but s nice walking park and playground.
Good paved trail.
Just Beautiful
Love walking these trails with my husband
Allways clean, allways open. Great park!
Good for walking & cycling. No workout stations. No mulch to jog. Big gravel road and cement path.
Oh it is Definately SomeThingElse!! I'll tell you that much
The only thing i can say is that they need to fix the bathrooms. They have 3 units of bathrooms on each sides of the park and only one works and is not maintained properly but other than that it is enjoyable!
Beautiful well kept park
Drug dealers and homeless living there. Houston parks, and police, couldn't care less about this park. Don't leave anything of value in your car. Regularly see smashed windows.
Great park, clean, nice 2 mile track. This gorgeous guy was walking the trails.
Nice family spot to play. Lots of softball diamonds to have many games. Good soccer spots, as well. Parking needs ALOT more work. Fills up too quickly, then people are illegally parking double, or on the grass. Security needs to do a better job policing the premises. The animal zoo is a nice touch. Good jogging trails to run. Overall, it's a good family area.
Great park, with lots of trails, and sperate play areas. If you plan to have space, make sure you get there before it fills up
I Love It! A nice walk in the park or something to remember.
Excellent place to spend time with your dog
