The scenes are beautiful this time of year. This is a place that the whole family can enjoy together. Their is something for everyone in the family from the playground, waterfall, trails and the museum. Let's not forget the waterfall it makes the perfect background for any family picture. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

chad harvel

Amazing place to stay. Sites are pretty good size, most of them back up to the water. The hiking trails are very nice with plenty to see. Several waterfalls on the water. This was our first camping trip and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Neal Hauser

Great archeological site, museum, and plenty of trails to hike.

Andy Elliott-Realtor

This park is close to nashville and is a very easy hike. Lovely setting with the old mill history to kearn about. Check it out.

Celeste Francisco

I don't play golf but they allow you to walk the course and I enjoy the length and the views. Amazing. Old Stone Fort Archeological park is an awesome place to hike too with beautiful scenery.

Lori Tenaglia

Always a great place to go and relax, been going for years and my husband and I go on our days off to just get away and relax

Michael j. Stoetzel

Old Stone Fort has historical significance to this region of Tennessee because it provides a hands on ( and boots on), experience for the visitors. I love nature, and I love our State and National parks! So unless I have a particular problem with a designated area, I will always give high scores. The park is clean, appealing, walkable as well as being able to view areas over the water that can be seen from the designated overlook. The park has a small but nice store, museum, and information center. Bathrooms are very clean and maintained. The park can be visited by driving from several different routes/hwy in Middle Tennessee. I guess if there were a negative input I could give it would be the inclined parking area near the visitors center. The paved parking is on a hill and slopes downward, this can provide a little difficulty for those who ride their motorcycles to the parks and wish to park and walk, as we did on this visit. Mjs

Janie Gassman

Beautiful place to go camping, Have a picnic, go hiking, biking etc. We have took our kids here many times over the years and camped out. Nice and quiet. They have put in a new playground at the picnic area. Super nice.

Austin Stacy

It’s a very easy hike that offers great views of waterfalls and trails that follow right next to a river. It is perfect for a short day hike to get outside.

Joseph Ridolfo

One of my favorite go to spots since I came to MTSU in nearby Murfreesboro in 1969. Easy access from I 24 or US 41.

sandra russell

The trails are great for walking along the Duck River and seeing several falls. The archeological site is a work in progress. The site dates back to 80 AD!

Rahul Chawla

Awesome waterfalls and wonderful place to hike. Really enjoyed the visit.

shadow fox

It's a beautiful park with some great views to enjoy my wife and I enjoy being here and in nature

Carol Erkkila

Always liked staying there. My favorite time is when the dog woods are blooming.

Karam Albanna

I love this place, it’s highly recommended Defiantly you will enjoy your time

Sam Hay

Excellent swimming hole. Lot of snakes though. Did not see any though close to the area above the waterfalls where people swim just in areas off the trail that were around the falls. So that's OK. A park ranger lady did come up and tell a man with a sweet old arthritic dog who look like he just wanted to play in the water with everybody before it's too late that he had to keep all k9s on a leash at all times, but...you can't discriminate between sweet old dogs and the put bull owner crowd I guess

Alex Ritter

Beautiful waterfalls, and a really well put together gallery.

Holly Williams

Beautiful waterfalls and a great hike! Even gives you the opportunity to do some climbing if you're feel adventurous and want to get closer to the water for great pictures.

Linda Bishop

It needs to be kept up better...the bathrooms needed attention and the campsites needed the fire pits cleaned out...

Vicky Rowsey

Loved everything about it. We are already talking about another trip that way.

Nancy Hayden

Have camped here many times and enjoyed it. Some of the campsites take in water after heavy rains so I call the park office first before I book a site. We try to stay on the river side in the cul de sacs. The rangers in the office are most helpful in finding nearby hiking trails and water falls. Machine Falls and Fiery Gizzard are close.

Cary Walker

Great scenery and good hiking trails.

failed cars

Great experience with the family we all enjoyed the trails we walked on amd the museum there was very informative as well

Barry Lumpkin

Fascinating park. Be sure to see the video.

SydneySunRay

I went to the Summer Solstice tour. It has interesting history and beautiful. Park Rangers were nice too!

Henrry Jons

Nice park, it's not so big and there are a lot of trees. The waterfall is just gorgeous. My favorite part is the really cool mint green gates. It gets really cold here. I'd suggest this park for short visits, but not for camping or any long-term stay.

Misty Manages Life

I love this park. Great hiking, varied scenery, and several beautiful waterfall areas along the trail. Cool history info at the travel center, and many picnic areas throughout.

Nancy Jaimes

A beautiful place and great for the kids.

Melissa Hayes

I took my children here. It was beautiful. Lots of great scenery. Some trails take you close to cliffs so I was a little nervous about my four year old. I'm definitely going back.

Dave Koops

I really like the upgrades. They've obviously worked hard to get the improvement. Great Job!

Rin Smithson

1st time to visit. WOW, beautiful place, easy access and walking trails. The waterfalls were amazing. I recommend this place to everyone......old, young, kids, pets! Clean restrooms and very clean park. Big plus I must add was park rangers or park security visible and this on a Sunday! Fun, Clean, Safe, Beautiful..........

Craig Nedoff

Old Stone fort is a very beautiful park it has gorgeous waterfalls, beautiful hiking paths, friendly staff , very good basic facilities, nice camping area, a very soothing environment, plenty of parking a nice picnic area very woodsy Arcadian atmosphere, very highly recommend

William Shettleworth

This place speaks for itself, miles of beautiful walking trails, amazing campsites with Rv hook up, and a museum with many nice gifts in the gift shop. Get your family outdoors!

Nicole Larimore

This was a beautiful place. We camped for 2 nights. Campsites are clean and somewhat secluded. Showers were hot and clean! Trails were marked well, and the scenery is awesome. there are a few waterfalls to see, as well as an abundance of wildlife. Friendly and super knowledgeable staff, a museum and recreation area. We had a wonderful time, we can't wait to come back!!

Carrie Rector

Great little park for hiking, beautiful waterfalls and not too strenuous trails. Very friendly museum attendant, nice clean facilities. Would love to visit again

Christopher Wojnar

Very cool place. The falls are fairly easily accessible, even with an ambulatory special needs child. The trails are steep but easily negotiable as long as you choose the right ones. You can swim at the Big Falls.

Richard Simmons

The park has something for everyone. Not only does the history reach out to you but the natural beauty is breathtaking. I recommend taking the ridgeback trail. Keep the little ones close because the trail on the western end drops steeply and can be a little tricky.

Joe Martin

Beautiful peaceful campground. Tree cover road and sites. The old fort hiking trail is a easy trail that runs water side. There are several breathtaking waterfalls along the way and a old water mill ruins from the civil war.

Joe Hanna

Some very beautiful areas great place for hiking

Caylie Cardinal

The park rangers were really nice, and the little shop was cute. It offers a bit of History and a handful of small Falls along a relaxing hike. Even down the most strenuous Trail it wasn't too hard. We were well over packed and prepared for a much harder trip.

Steffie Giles Sloan

Love this park. Great campgrounds and a small museum with a small hike and you have access to some small falls and relaxing water access. Easy for kids and adults alike.

Stevar Namik

It's got a beautiful waterfalls the history of the place is intriguing and always have fun when I go there it's beautiful and unique

Gordon Smead

We got out to the State archeological park three days in a row over Thanksgiving holiday. We had some good hikes. There are nice overlooks of waterfalls. It is sad how early "European" settlers dismantled parts of the structures Native Americans had taken centuries to build. The modern settlers didn't know what they were tearing apart, though. They just thought they were gathering stones for use in building. The cool thing about Old Stone Fort State Archeological Park is that it is a Tennessean version of Stonehenge. It has a structure that aligns with the sun at the time of the summer solstice and was used as a ceremonial gathering place. The Native Americans spent thousands of hours carrying stones up to build mounds and the wall that surrounded the site. The park has a museum and gift shop. My wife and daughter bought jackets as souvenirs. We had very enjoyable times here.

Tom Sharp

Lots of history. Beautiful setting.

Amy Kelley

Beautiful park with hiking, historic structures, and a little museum.

Jacob Mcdaniel

Today we just happen to be headed to another park, When we came across this one decide to stop for little bit Today. We enjoyed the hiking out there today the waterfall for real nice. The thing I was most impressed with was the history behind this park What it started out as what it became. Show overall we had a really good time at this part today

Thea Correll

Not your average fort! The history here is definitely something you have to feel for yourself. This sacred ground tells a story. The calming feeling you get from hearing the falls helps you Invision the past. The museum is small but very informative. Request to watch the video, it helps to put it more in perspective.

M C

A fantastic park that focuses on the history of that area. Native American history abounds in middle Tennessee, but "progress" has destroyed so much of it. This is a really cool place to both learn about and see one of our state's best archaeological sites.

Trish Lipp

One the fact that all the state parks in Tennessee are free !!! Makes my heart Happy all the trails , why wouldn't you want to explore all the beauty it has to offer !! Personally this has come to be one of my favorites with a lay out of a little bit of everything! From the history lesson on the drive in , to the imagination you use wondering what that mill or area might have looked like back in it's prime . Easy trails for the less adventurous or those with little ones . Harder trails for the more experienced nature enthusiasts, grass , bugs and waterfalls what's not to love.

Kristina Neighbors

Very beautiful and serene. Definitely a go back place.

Gregory Sliwoski

Pleasantly surprised with this park. The waterfall is the main attraction and any crowds were concentrated there. But I loved the backbone trail. It was completely empty and overall a really nice hike. Only problem is that it's short but there's plenty of peaceful spots to meander so I recommend it despite it's length. Plan to get wet.

Catherine Stacey

Great place to take kids and let them play. Also have educational information on site to learn.

Moon Paige

Prettiest place if been in middle tn that can hold a match to natchez trace state park.

Jacqueline Meier

Great walks through prehistoric mounds and rivers with falls

scott knutson

Beautiful state park in the Tennessee woods with stunning natural and man-made waterfalls.

Nate

Outstanding preservation of such a rich yet little known culture. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

Jason Donmoyer

Easy hike with some educational content and several waterfalls and other water features to check out. Interesting mound theories and some more modern mill history. I spotted several intriguing fungus specimens in the park as well as different dragonflies compared to what I usually see.

Brandon Moody

It was a fun, historical little place to visit. The waterfalls were beautiful, and the history was mesmerizing. Staff was helpful and friendly.

brett king

Very cool place for a hike. Some of the trails are a little rough but it was fun.

Jim McWilliams

A bit of history that we don't know about. No not a civil war fort, but a native American series of mounds protecting their sacred place for 2000 years. I was astonished. The area had been cleared of trees long ago. It would be interesting to go back in time and see what ceremonies were conducted among the mounds built so long ago. Not much of a museum to see but the gift shop is nice. My wife loves the souvenir coffee cup. Take a stop, take a walk, take a look and enjoy nature next to the sound of a roaring river. You really won't be disappointed and the kids will love it.

Calvin Madison

Good walking trails I've never camped there but they have camping all the time

Natasha Nemeth

Nice hiking trails. Love going here.

Rhonda Murphy

This is a beautiful place. It is dog friendly. My kids loved it too

Katherine Reagan

My new fave. Love is an understatement for this park!!! ❤️

Chris

Wow, a really clean and beautiful park. Great trails and beautiful waterfalls. There is a playground with plenty of picnic tables and grills. We can't wait to try out the campground.

Peter Fairbank

Campground is great and hiking is too. Reasonable rates for RVers.

Christian Horner

Overall, great Tennessee historical park - museum is interesting and easy to access, and the hike was easy and beautiful. Great family day trip, summer swimming, and/or hands-on historical learning. Campground was 50/50 - some sites were fine, others were flooded and it had been 3 days since it had rained. Best for RV's, some sites suitable for tents, and sites seemed fairly private as there were lots of trees.

Julie Wessley

We loved this park. Very easy to get around the perimeter trail. There are several trails to follow. We did see a snake along the way but it seemed very disinterested in us.

James Cross

Excellent example of the beauty and history that Tennessee has to offer. Great trails with a variety of difficulties, and several magnificent waterfalls.

Eric Isbrucker

Sometimes you're visiting your mother-in-law or racist uncle in Manchester, and you need a break. Pack a lunch and relax in the picnic area. Stroll the park. Gaze at the waterfalls. Plan your escape. You can do this. Clear your head. If you have gas in the car, you can leave Manchester. Plenty of highways to choose from. The kids/spouse can find their own way home. You taught them independence and resiliency, right? Consider the Old Stone Fort State Park a kick-start into freedom. The energy from this ancient site will motivate you better than a jar of Adderall and a missed phone call from the free clinic. Visit this park at the first sign of family strife.

ronald rumpf

Absolutely gorgeous park it's for RV camping only even if you have a tent camp the sites are so rocky that there's nowhere to set up

Brian Simmons

Love this place. Great campground and the Native American history here is mind boggling.

Catherine Chunn

There are waterfalls that are less than a 15 minute walk from the parking lot. It's a fun place to explore and swim for a few hours. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy.

Trish Wilson

Gorgeous! Amazing!! I had no idea the water could be so pretty in this area.

Leslie Williams Liranzo

Amazing landscape. Gorgeous scenery. History is fantastic!

Ken Hunt

Nice little state park, the archeological site and history of the area is very interesting. We stayed here in a 43' motorhome.

Jerry Pullum

Great place enjoy God's creation with beautiful views of the Little Duck River and the Duck River.

Robert D

It was beautiful. Park was organized and clean. Quiet at night.

Teresa Thomas

This was a great hike for beginners. We took our 4-yr-old and he was easily able to walk the trails and play near the water.

Preposterou Spraq

Really nice looking water falls and nature. Nice trails to walk and hike on. And the camp ground was good too we stayed for a week and got really close to some deer a couple times. How ever the women's bathroom my wife said could have been cleaner.

Anna East

The trails are easy, but I still felt I got a decent workout. There are ways to get down to the water that can be challenging for someone who's just starting out on walking/hiking trails. Once you get to the Big Falls it is absolutely stunning.

Sherry Minor

Really enjoyed our visit..came here 40 years ago on our first date. Rangers were super friendly and helpful too

Prepper Overwatch

This is a beautiful historical site with easy, and challenging trails, waterfalls, and campsite. We enjoyed the little museum, and the bathrooms were clean. We bought two T-shirts and a sticker to help support the Park.

Albert Etelman

Excellent outoor adventure amid stunning scenery. Well worth a break in driving through the beautiful state of Tennessee.

Lloyd Squires

We came to the park because we thought we could kayak at the park. A very poor set up, the launch site is immediately next to a waterfall without any rails or protection to keep a kayak from going over the fall! The bathrooms were run down, it had 3 showers and only one had a shower head. The park has cliffs and there are very few guard rails. My personal opinion is that it is unsafe for young children. The trails are not well groomed. Maybe at one point, the waterfalls could be seen easily but it was very difficult to get decent pictures of the falls as the tree branches cover them up. No boating, fishing or swimming observed while we were there.

Marie Draise

Great place to camp or just visit history, lots of waterfalls in the area

Aliex Aliex

One of best places to go in Manchester TN , hiking, camping, history lesion, relaxing meditation places ,free swimming pool, buy your self, family both to legged and for legged , even sometimes they hold speshle invents here ,but personally I like just for the hick , camping and meditation it's one of best places to do so that and I can bring my one of my bff my pet dog with me

Brad Swain

Small park and the campgrounds are very damp. There's not alot to do for campers. We stayed just two nights and not sure we would have stayed longer even if we had booked additional nights.

Michael Katterjohn

Great hiking. Great river and waterfalls. Great history.

Vladimir Betancur

Awesome place to relax and have a quiet walk in the woods

Calista Martin

Beautiful park. Great shady campground with nice hikes.

Chrissy Muns

Great hiking trails along a beautiful river.

Roger Whittaker

5 minutes off the interstate sits this small park with a wealth of waterfalls. First is a man made dam. As you keep walking down the trail, you'll discover many natural waterfalls. Tip: have a fully charged phone battery, mine ran out from taking videos and pictures. The museum explains the backstory and if you have 20ish minutes, ask for the movie to be played, it does a great job of explaining the deep history of this area (the Indians built it, and later got misnamed a fort). Would be glad to go back here.

Curtis Orick

Nice little hike with waterfalls and plenty of wildlife

victor murphey

Really cool area to photograph. A very popular place!

Fergus mcgeehan

Great trails. Awesome waterfalls. The duck river is absolutely beautiful and can be fished and kayaked. Easy to moderately hard trails at spots depending on your route. Watch out for snakes if you hike/fish off trail.

Donnene Scott

It's just beautiful and dangerous so be careful

Todd Knight

Campground was ok. Not many amenities besides hiking. Duck river access is limited and difficult. No wifi. RV parking sites were small, but sites were not close. Did include a grill and fire pit. Bathhouses were in very poor condition.

Cory L

Love this park. The museum is a great place to cool off and look around. The trails are easy to hike with small kids and the views are beautiful. You will probably see a snake or two and need to keep an eye on your little ones, especially around the falls obviously. But there's also great playground and picnic area. My only thing is the bathrooms need updating something terrible...

Jennifer Marcoulier

This is such a beautiful place. I loved all the waterfalls it has. We have good memories here.

Bernhard Sauer

We went camping with our travel trailer at this park. It is a very nice park with lots of shorter hiking trails. Offers some activities (we did basic basket weaving). We will recommend this park to friends and family.

KACurie

Nice walk on a pleasant day. Would have liked to take a ranger led walk. People in the museum were helpful and knowledgeable. Clean and in good order.

mark dooley

The trail was amazing with all of the waterfalls.

Julie Uribe

A great walk in the woods on a nice day. The trails are a little rough so make sure you can walk comfortably on uneven terrain but the waterfalls are fun to see and we caught glimpses of several deer and butterflies while there. There is info on the fort posted in some areas and a small museum at the entrance. I wasn't overly impressed with that portion of the park but would recommend for the nature walk alone.

Cynthia Robinson

Bathhouses need cleaning and updating park and hiking are wonderful.

Cecilia Newman

This is a beautiful place if you're only visiting for a couple hours but I wouldn't encourage an over night stay in the camping area. My family and I camped here for a few days. The bathrooms were so nasty that they couldn't be used, called the ranger to inform them but didn't see an improvement. Apparently there is no noise ordinance or it isn't enforced, dogs barking, kids screaming and people were so loud into the very early morning that no sleep could be had. Given that check out time is at 11am and check in time isn't until 4pm, it seems that there is ample time for staff to clean/ check the camp sites for cleanliness but it doesn't appear that they even look at them in between visitors. We had to clean up garbage, the fire pit and the grill upon arrival. I will not be returning.

Roderick Cummings

It was great until we got kick out for a picnic w wine. My apologies...

Tara Green

Nice, quiet and relaxing. Good hiking trails.

Jamie Farnsworth

Beautiful place. Always enjoy coming here.

Sandra Thomas

Love old stone. The hiking trail is a must. The museum has souvenirs and doesn't cost anything. They also have brick and mortar restrooms and a picnic playground area.

June Smith

Our ranger tour guide was great for our summer solstice hike! She knew a wealth of information.

Matthew Shotwell

Great place for a weekend with the kids. The campground is great, and the trail around the "fort" is short and fairly flat, but rewarding with multiple waterfalls. The Manchester recreation center is nearby, and it has amazing outdoor pool area with two big slides, a lazy river, splash play area, and more.

Euless Darren Minor

My wife and I went on our first date here forty years ago.

Tricia Duke

One of my favorite places to hike. Been hiking here with my little kids to from newborn to age 6. Family friendly

Kurt Hallquist

Great place for a family hike. You can choose easy trails, or some medium challenges

David Vanderford

Hiking fishing waterfalls camping swimming kayaking with a s'more on top

Troy Glidden

Absolutely beautiful park. There is a visitor center/museum with restrooms, souvenirs, and history of the area. You can watch a video on the region and what the old fort was believed to be. The trails are mostly pretty easy to traverse and identify. The park places markers on trees that are colored based on the trail you're on, which coincides with the map. Take a stop at the falls on both sides, there's a swimming hole on the little falls side, and there are great spots to simply wade in the river. Tons of wildlife in the region, too. All trails are pretty easy, even for kids. However, the red one is not recommended for young children. We found ourselves in some precarious areas that our young kids weren't very skilled at traversing. Definitely a great place to disconnect, learn some history, and take in nature.

Jon D. Bumpus

One of the absolute best places to spend the day in Tennessee. The state has done an excellent job in preserving the heritage of this land, and the surrounding waterfalls are some of the most serene in the south. The museum is informative and up to date, and the staff has done a great job keeping it clean & inviting. As rare as it is to see native american history so well preserved in the southeast, we were beyond thrilled to experience this incredible landmark and all it has to offer.

Amy J

We only visited the playground area but it's really nice. Small play area for kids and a ton of picnic tables. A restroom building right there as well. Pets are allowed on leash. Theres also a pavilion with 2 large picnic tables so even if it rains you can enjoy. Nice and quiet area, wooded so plenty of shade when it's hot out. There is a water spigot and charcoal grill there at the pavilion as well. In town but you feel like you're deep in the woods. I really like it there.

K Vitale

Very cool, but I wish the equinox location was a bit more clearly marked

Kevin Patterson

If you a very shaded moist campground then this is it! Campground is setup well but has no amenities. If you have young children do not recommend staying here, very little for them to do.

Angie Green Banks

Great place to hike an swim and has a camp ground

marysol lopez

Beautiful place for hiking. Calm and quiet all you need for relaxing.

Brandon Boyd

Beautiful place great hiking and swimming fun for all ages

Flavio Villanustre

A very interesting Archeological site with Native American ruins and a great museum interpretive center. It also has great views, a beautiful landscape and the site of a nineteenth century mill.

Jamie Hanna

Beautiful waterfalls and views. Great trails. Safe by yourself or with your family. Has campsites, playground, restrooms.

Amber Lloyd

Had an amazing time with my family. Amazing campgrounds, play area, and hiking sites to water!

Rivka Brenna

A little rude if you come in at night, but it's a nice camp area and park. Beautiful scenery and clean area. Campsites are fully functional and includes a dumping station. Shooters are turned of during winter months but when they are on, hey are hour and pressurized. Good place to hike and camp. Plenty of wildlife.

rich hellinger

I've been to this beautiful park a few times over the decades. Great place to walk and see the Duck river. The unveiling of the archeological information over time since I first visited 30 years ago has been fascinating and adds to the feeling at this place. Recommend.

Ginger Ann

This place is full of history, mystery, adventure and beauty. There is a museum that tells about the history and exploration of the site. There are many shaded trails that lead to several beautiful waterfalls. There is an area for camping.

John C Kendall

Beautiful place with excellent facilities and well kept grounds. However, it is extremely wooded such that the sky cannot be seen. There is still a lot of noise pollution from nearby roads and light pollution from facilities. Access is tight for big rigs. The sites are laid out with everything to the rear of the rig which means you don’t have much space for the awning or furniture under it.

Emily Williams

Been here with the kids many times. Beautiful, lots of wildlife.

Jane Earps

Beautiful park. We enjoyed a lovely trail walk of approximately four miles and enjoyed the falls. Nice historic informational facility.

Kathleen Koran

A fascinating history lesson and great hike. Beautiful.

Jessica pinegar

Great day hiking!

David McCauslin

Beautiful falls, and the hike was not to hard. I highly recommend this place.

Gregg Fowler

Awesome park and campground. The streams, falls, and wildlife are wonderful.

John Brown

Great place for a swim at one of the water fulls

John Wessels

Fantastic park to spend a day hiking around. Dogs welcome if on a leash. Small shop and informational building with bathrooms.

Pamela Rew

Very great local hiking place. Camping and a museum here. Great for family fun time. Lots of trails. Beautiful waterfalls. Great picture views to have someone snap a quick family shot. Spring is starting so another couple weeks and it will be full of color too. Highly recommend. Take bottle of water with you. Keep your ears open for planned activities here. On my way out there was suddenly a dry erase board with a days worth of fun stuff. Wasnt sure if that was tomorrow's stuff (Sunday) since day was mostly over already and sign wasnt there earlier. Did see multiple park rangers while here so it is well patrolled.

Jorie Lodés

Beautiful waterfalls. Easy hike. Museum with a lil Tn history!

Chad Foley

Awesome scenery and good walking / hiking trails. There are 3 waterfalls!

lolsounds

The views were great along with the rangers

Jess Canter

Beautiful scenery, well maintained trails and dog friendly! (Leashed, of course.) It's certainly worth the visit. This isn't a huge tourist destination, like Burgess or Cummins, so you'll likely have much of these falls and creeks all to yourself.

Tacey Anderson

Only 15 minutes from home and it's amazing. So many trails and breathtaking waterfalls. History surrounds you.

Karl Nordstrom

Nice, quiet campground. Just be aware that as March 2019, the only way into the campground is across a 1-lane bridge with no sign about its width. If you have a large motorhome, you may want someone to guide you across the bridge since you'll only have a few inches on either side of your mirrors. And don't expect the head ranger to volunteer to help. He'll just tell you not to worry because lots of other motorhomes have crossed the bridge... while other staff will expand on that and tell you about all the broken off mirrors they pick up on the bridge. Thankfully, they are allegedly putting another entrance in over the next year or two.

Cynthia Tyree

Lots of good history on the Indians that were once in this area. Good hiking trails. A really nice waterfall and new playground with picnic shelters close by. A good stop for the family!

Radioactv RMN

the scene ita nice, but really dirty water

Frank Thill

The campground was low and soggy. Be careful if you go there in the springtime. We wonder how bad the mosquitoes would be during the summer. We were there the third week of April and had perfect weather and no bugs. the trails along the waterfall section of the big Duck River were fantastic! If you're into hiking be sure to do the backbone trail. It can be a little strenuous but well worth the hike. I would have to call this a hidden gem of middle Tennessee.

Go Gators

Not really a fort but a very pretty place. And you can swim apparently.

Jason Candido

Lovely shaded campsites with clean bathrooms that you could not smell from outside!

Sierra Kiss

Really liked exploring this trail, some areas were a little tough to follow and were well marked. Beautiful area though with a lot of history throughout. Stayed at the campgrounds and enjoyed it!

Milton Freeze

I love this place! Growing up here seeing the changes thus place has gone through. Everytime i come here i experience something new.

Amanda Price

Beautiful place. Child friendly. Great family environment.
