This place was directly across from our hotel. Loved it! Especially the ride in the tram up there & back. Beautiful scenery! & the man who works with the animals is so nice! Can't wait to go back when we're that way again!

Dane Whitehead

Looks to be a super fun place. We did not get to experience the whole park due to the weather. I will for sure go back and do all there is to do. The team ride up was awesome and we got to see some bears. The ski lift to the top was amazing and the views were incredible. Very professionally run. A really cool experience in Gatlinburg.

Biplab Kushari

It's a great and very adventurous ride through the Cable Tram to the mountain Harrison. And then the chair ride been so exciting with wonderful nature of wild forests, never ending incredible mountains of layers after layers. Right from a modern city of Gatlinburg, suddenly all will reach just the heaven. They are very careful about the visitors safety. Scenic beauty of the great Smokey mountain from the tram and cable car been unforgettable.

Jim Cosson

Perfectly preserved 70's ski resort. Very well maintained. The alpine slide has been a favorite of mine since childhood. Worth the drive or tram ride to get above Gatlinburg.

Amber Good

Fun to watch the families out on the ice and shopping. Great atmosphere and beautiful tram ride up to get to the top. The attractions at the top were lots of fun I totally suggest the ski mountain coaster. Fun easy to maneuver and you can travel at your own speed. Very enjoyable even for those who don't like roller coasters.

Justin Herring

Nice area great views if you buy the lift ticket all the way to the top. Now if people would use their normal voice at a normal level ,(northerners) the trip on the tram would have been better.

Rachel Taylor

We had a lot of fun here. There's plenty to do to keep the kids busy. A lot of stuff needs updated in my opinion but it was still a good time. There was a little playground with a ball pit that the younger kids loved while the older ones were on rides that were too scary for the little ones. I really appreciated that being there.

Arianna Martin

I really enjoyed the tram and being in a building on top of a mountain. However, I have some concerns about their food. When waiting for my food, I noticed the kitchen door open. I saw some employees talking and touching their phone with their gloves on. I also saw several people bringing in cups and bottles and drinking out of them in the kitchen. I admit, I don't know what the health code is in Tennessee. But in Illinois, it's not allowed. So I'm unsure how if there are any health code violations happening here, but I, personally, would be wary.

Barb Guillory

Excellent place to visit!Things to entertain kids as well as adults! Even have a first aide place ! A little one was stung by a bee. They were very gentle with her.Heloed us out, told us when to bring her back if needed.

Kymberlee S.

This was a very nice place. My only complaint was not being told the coaster wasn't running while it was raining after I had already purchased a coin to use a locker and locked my belongings all up. We waited about 20 minutes to hear if the coaster would be running while 5 employees sat and talked.

Richard Bobholz

Ober Gatlinburg is, put simply, a very fun place. There's ice skating, chair lifts, water slides, mini-golf, alpine slides, mountain coasters, a zoo, and more! We had a lot of fun watching the otters get fed and waiving at the bears! The view from Mount Harrison was absolutely stunning and the other activities were a lot of fun to enjoy. One of the best parts of Ober Gatlinburg is the tram you ride to go from downtown to Ober Gatlinburg.

Sherry Poorman

Great trip, prepare to be on the mountain for the day. Pack a lunch, bring snacks. Definitely being water or juice. Vegan family of 6. They have eateries bout only offer French fries, popcorn and sodas that were can eat. We ride the mountain coaster, 15.00 per person for a 5 minute ride. Great ride for the thrill seeker. We ice skated several games of tag. Other wise or was boring just sharing in a circle. The tram ride was informative and a great ride to enjoy and snap pictures. Overall it was fun and we will do it again.

R Armacost

Tram ride is cool. Once you reach the top, it's like something out of a very bad 80s movie. Very dated. Also, has the world's most depressing arcade.

Nikia Redmond

We love Ober! The Tram is always a favorite! My son also loved the ice bumper cars!

Madi Hankinson

Such a fun place for everyone. Can either drive up the mountain there or park in downtown Gatlinburg and take the skytram or ski lift up. And you can take a ski lift even higher once there to see some of the highest points. Ice skating, restaurants, and cute shops are a must see here.

Nimesh Thakkar

Pricey. Not good value for money but you can play it smart. You can drive up to where the trolley takes you. There is a parking fee of $8 atleast when I visited. Kids 4 and under are free which worked out great for me as all I had to do was buy one adult band and was able to take kids. Adults should buy individual tickets for chair lift which is the only ride worth any money for adults. There are some new rides too like mountain rollercoaster but those are sperate tickets anyways and not part of any wrist bands. Like the fact that you can have locker of good size for 2 quarters. Good food options.

Barbara Bradham

So much fun for the entire family. Almost everything you could ever want to do to enjoy a day with the family.

Brianna Bunn

Although a bit dated and a touch run-down, the sights are truly worth seeing from those heights. Maybe go in a cooler season, as it was warm even indoors.

Abbey Heiter

Me and my family had a really great experience at Ober Gatlinburg Tram. The ride up and down is a beautiful view with helpful commentary about the surrounding buildings and the history of the area. The bands for the tram are good for 2 days so we came back twice. At the top of the team ride there are some rides and ice skating (for an additional price). We ice skated and went down the alpine slide. I would definitely recommend taking the second lift up to the top of the mountain for a free band and a gorgeous view! All and all me and my family had a wonderful time. Only complaint would be that you are packed in with alot of other people in the tram with limited seating. Great trip for kids! Very safe and fun time!

Paul Smith

They really went out of way to make my pregnant daughter and autistic grandaughter very comfortable and were extremely courteous thanks so much

Candice Mccant

Could use some major updates to the place, but overall a great experience for tourists!

Caressa Ramirez

Definitely recommend visiting Ober Gatlinburg. The ride was absolutely amazing. Tons of stuff to do at the top. Very affordable for an all day trip!

Russell Rauhauser

Loved seeing the animals. Sky lift is fun. Air tram is awesome. Just hope you get James as your operator

Diane Rhonomus

We decided to go to Ober on a double date. It was so much fun. If you plan on being up there for any amount of time, I suggest getting the wrist bands (at least the Basic package). We rode the Alpine slide (trust me when they say to slow down around curves, you'd better, or the slide will leave it's mark on you), the ski lift to the top for incredible views (don't forget your camera), the swings (yes, we are all in our 40s

Andrew Birt

Kinda pricey, kind of cool. Had some interesting attractions as far as animals. Some of the rides look like they would be better during the winter though. It was $15 a person to ride the lift to the top and then you had to pay for everything after that. I felt like it would have been better to charge a higher price initially and have the attractions at the top free. But that's just me.

Jim Cosson

Perfectly preserved 70's ski resort. Very well maintained. The alpine slide has been a favorite of mine since childhood. Worth the drive or tram ride to get above Gatlinburg.

Amber Biven

The tram ride was fun. Everything else, especially the coffee (basically coffee flavored water) was overpriced and not impressive. Could be because it was a rainy day...but it's not at the top of my list to return to.

Nick Wilcox

Probably my favorite experience of out summer trip to Gatlinburg was coming to Ober and riding the Tram up to the top. The Tram experience and ride are good for 2 days and you can get activity passes at the top for many items such as the animal sanctuary, rides, ice skating, etc. You can easily spend an entire day at the top doing activities, shopping, and eating good food. We did the animal sanctuary and it was amazing. The bears and otters were out favorite animals. Each animal was injured or rescued. Staff were top notch and all very helpful and knowledgeable. The Tram operators told funny stories about the area on the way up and down the mountain. I definitely want to come back again to do more.

Shelby CraftBuisness

So little backstory first I had cancer two years ago and since then I’ve been in two major car accidents and have high anxiety. I was about to get on the Mountain Coaster when my anxiety started up and the two workers at the ride were super nice about it talked me through and got me prepared to go up. I was halfway through the ride when a major panic attack happened it was to the point where I had to stop the ride and the only employee up there calmed me down told me I could do it and was extremely polite. This was the greatest customer service ever. These employees deserve a raise.

Angel Childress

We were so afraid to ride the tram but couldn't wait either. The lady told us it was one of the safest means of travel so we felt better. It was very stable and really cool. We did bumper cars or floats on ice and that was fun.

Tometha Weber

Road the tram then the sky lift to the Alpine slide. Would highly recommend. Had lunch at the sky top restaurant. Food was great. Waitress could use a little help. Seen bear on the way down. It's a must do

gary fisher

After riding in the gondola to the top of the mountain at over 250 feet above Gatlinburg, there are tremendous views of the city. We also rode the Ski coaster which you climb up on your toboggan coaster and when you descend from the top down the ride at 25 mph for a total of 3750 feet. A lot of fun. There are many more things to do including rides for small kids. Also snack bar and a restaurant.

Mark Askin

Great entertainment for the whole family of all ages groups and many things to do up here can't imagine anyone not able to come and have a great time

John Brady

We bought tickets at 6:45 pm. Sadly, everything closes at 5pm. The person in the ticket booth did not tell us that. What a complete waste of time. Fortunately, we were able to get our money back.

Joshua Weber

The tram ride was fun, but everything else was closed in light rain. They also conveniently sold us non-refundable tickets seconds before they closed all the kids rides. They should really change that policy.

Ben Dendler

First time ever going out of all the years I've been coming down here. For our first time as a family it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful today and lines were short for a nice day. I'd go again on my next vacation here!

Travis Lovins

The Tram was fun. Other than that, it was meh. Ate at the Seasons of Ober restaurant. Service was slow, food was overcooked. Got my boys some chicken tenders and they were trash. However, I had some kind of beef/pork/brat Pattie sandwich and it was delicious. This is not a must do for Gatlinburg, but again, the Tram was kinda neat.

Erik Back

Mountain coaster and slide are great. Saddest mini golf course I've ever seen. But, still a place I'd love to spend a day at with a wristband.

Nikki Dahlberg

This was my 1st visit to Ober Gatlinburg and it was nice. It seems like it is from the late 80s inside, but there is a lot to do for kids. My daughter enjoyed ice skating.

Diane Crews

This was an amazing Gondola ride 1/2 way up a mountain. We took a skylift up to the very top. The views was spectacular. Beyond our expectations. Loved it.

Lisa Ridley

It's fun to ride the tram to Ober. Once you get to Ober there is ice skating, alpine slides and other fun attractions. There are 2 snack bars and a restaurant. I recommend the tram because the drive up the mountain is hard on transmissions. It's worth seeing.

jeff j

The good: Tram ride. Get in the front of the line to be in the front of the tram car for the best experience. But even if in the middle of the car its not bad. Lift to the mountain top. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The mountain top view is incredible. Live bluegrass band is playing on the mountaintop. Great photo ops. The bad: Overall the place is very dated. The arcade upstairs is laughable. The assorted rides and shops are cheesy. Everywhere you turn it feels like they are just trying to nickel and dime you. They even charge a few cents for refills, even tho your original $4 drink is nothing more than an empty paper cup and a point to the fountain machine for ice and soda. Overall: I like this place. It's been around since the 60's, but it feels like it's been around since the 60's. They better get with the times of they want to survive for the long term.

Jeanette Sisk

My grandchildren had so much fun and it was reasonable rates. Great place to go

Wayne Broyles-Reiner

I enjoyed this visit mainly for the aerial tram ride to the top of the mountain. Although the facilities offer some unique aspects such as the bumper cars, skating rink, and outdoor water areas, they feel very dated and somewhat under utilized. It came across as something that is holding on by novelty alone. With that said, I would visit again just for the views.

Donnie Hicks

Pricey, all you get for your money is the Tram up the mountain. Nice clean building with friendly Staff at the bottom is not what you find at the top .Theys too many people in where it was so hot you can't breathe. It smelled as if someone had puked in it before we got on. The tram operater's teeth were so roted it was hard to keep eye contact with him. This was a reaccouring theme with the staff at the top also. Upon arriving at the top you find your just at an outdated Amusement Park that hasn't been updated since the 70's. The main resresturant was average at best. Staff were rude some unable to speak English well. Don't waste your money.

Jack Kirk

It was wonderful. The bears we're beautiful and big. Comfy atmosphere other than people being rude and shoving and pushing like retards. And patentsplease make your teenage daughters were underwear when dressing themselves it's disgusting to be behind a 13 yr old girl with a see through outfit and no under garments. Have respect for others and yourself

Andre Durham

The skiing was amazing!! We got there early so we could rent the equipment first. The one issue we had; the staff hardly knew how to answer our questions. Like, where is the bathroom? You would think they have to go too. Or, do we need lockers? The answer is yes. So get your locker early. If not, you will be forced to get a locker for your boots that you'll have to pay $1 each time you enter. The big lockers by the changing area are great ($10 for all day use). The locker was big enough for 4 pairs of ski boots. Once we started skiing, it was all downhill from there. I would definitely go back.

Tracy Mishler

The tram ride was good. The facilities at the top look, feel and smell old.

keith dobbins

Enjoyable time for the whole family. Skate park was a thrill for the kids...they loved it (first time skating). Alpine slife was fun but the ski coaster (though costly) was a blast! Recommend carching the tram up and back but make sure to bring your wallet.

Teresa Moore

My daughter loved the ice skating and the maze. We all enjoyed the aerial tram up to Ober. Got to see some bears and other animals at Animal Encounter. We had a great time at Ober Gatlnburg

Daniele Moffat

Very interesting cable car ride. Wait times were somewhat long, but we were there st a peak time. Interesting shops and food vendors. Tide up was breathtaking and worth the wait! Very reasonably priced.

Cheryl McCall

Wow, what a fun day we had here to our surprise. We rode the tram car up. The scenery is beautiful and the attentants are knowledgeable and tell some jokes. At the top, there is SO MUCH TO DO: mountain coaster, ice bumper cars, ice skating, putt putt golf, alpine slide and ski lift. A wrist band will cover most of the activities. There is also stores and a snack bar.

Richard Guevara

Needs some upgrading in amusements. Food prices are a bit too much. The mini zoo needs more animal attraction. I like the chairlift a lot, so serene for extra cost.

Julia Sikorski

Just over all horrible customer service! Tram lady MJ was amazing otherwise a lot of other employees are rude and you can tell they hate their job. I saw two couples given a hard time because they wanted a refund because they bought tickets for the tram and no one told them everything was closed so they went all the way up wasted time and the supervisor was extremely rude to them. Then we live literally a quarter mile a way if even that and we left something valuable at our place and we wanted to run back to grab it and come back but was going to be forced to pay another $8 for parking! The guy running the booth was rude to us about it. It also was 10:00 am you’re not even busy and we literally just paid and when we got to the top realized we left it at home. I think you all need to have a training on customer service!!! Especially when your customers are paying a ton of money at your place! Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, any more!!! Very disappointed with your customer service!

Tracy Garrick

Over Gatlinburg is an absolutely wonderful place. When I was a little girl I spent many family vacations on Gatlinburg, TN and we always went to Ober Gatlinburg. Now I’m blessed to be able to take my children there to make incredible memories together. I highly recommend it. Mostly everyone that works there is very nice and helpful but like everyplace you have that few that just have no business in the Customer Service Business and are strictly there for a paycheck.

Jill Gunter

If you are looking for modern bells and whistles this may not be a place for you. The tram ride up to the amusement park was nice, not too crowded and it simply is exactly what it is made to be--a vehicle to transport as many people as possible for point A to point B. The attractions are ok. Again, with the exception of the coaster, the attractions aren't new and modern. I found most employees to be doing a standard job. Some were wearing ear buds and on cell phones while loading rides. Burgers from the snack bar were good as was soft serve ice cream. Our family bought the premium ticket which kept a family of 4 busy for the day. I wish we hadn't visited the habitat. The irony of the sad black bear habitat with the Great Smokey Mountains in the background was depressing. Ober was ok, not great and pricey.

Scott Buchanan

Always a fun place to visit, great view from the chair lift, plenty of things to do.

Brittney Beard

Awesome ride across the mountain! Beautiful view! Hated that everything on top the mountain closed early! Fun attraction to do when visiting!

Luis Gutierrez

It has been the WORST experience in the Smokies...... Everything was paid upfront and when our family got there only the indoor activities were available. So we got a premium band and tickets for the best attractions because yes the best attractions are not included in the "premium" and after almost $100 per person we had to come back to our car SO FRUSTRATED. Really.... the risk to lose your money in this place is huge. We will never come back.

FeC ENG

First time skiing, and it was great thanks to Ober Garlinburg! It was $60 to rent skis (lift is free) during the off season (Feb). Lessons are $20 and worth it! If you can, get Conner. We all felt comfortable around him, and he is friendly even after the course! The entire crew at the park was goofy and fun. We joked with people everywhere we went and never had a bad experience. The slopes are fun. We definitely recommend 2 days during off season if you want to learn. The place is a little older and needs some TLC. Always odd to see places that mimic Germany. Food was pretty solid and the beer was reasonably priced for this kind of place. This is really the best bang for your buck if you're looking to work on your skiing, have fun, and not break the bank. 10/10

Lisa Marie Jacobsen

Great experience w otter feedings and bears. Loved the ice bumper boats, maze, Alpine slide and water raft rides. Overall a great day and returned same week with other family who loved it too.

Cheryl Burris

Take the tram to the top of the mountain. Go to the Lounge upstairs after ya go thru the double glass doors.Once your in make a left &have a seat@the Bar. Amber was our great barmaide. Nigel was our Highlight of the evening. Talented acoustic guitar& singer. He will go far &I pray just the "right" person discovers his greatness of entertainment. Cheryl&Beefcake Loves You!!!!!

Ashlee Ware

They worked very well with service animals! Separate waiting area and first to board to ensure all are safe in their care. There is a carousel, a small arcade, ice skating, ice bumper boats and stores.

Vince vance Lance

Such a fun time... Definately worth the trip

Michael Moore

Thought I was going for the view. Had a blast with everything up there.

Jacob Pirolli

Very cool up in the mountains. It is a little dated and not everything is open, but very different then other parks. The prices can add up fast but try the rail coaster

Kimberly Hurt

Ober Gatlinburg showed us a good time. The tram ride up and down the mountain was beautiful, and we enjoyed the skating rink! We had a good time here, but had two separate employees fuss at us for things that we felt were unnecessary. If not for those bad employee attitudes we would have rated this higher.

Amy Rose

Not my favorite place in Gatlinburg, or in the Smoky Mountains area. I would much rather be hiking. BUT the ride to the top was definitely a great experience, the views were amazing. Once at the top though, the slide we wanted to ride closed just as we were about to get on due to weather. (I realize that is not Ober's fault) but overall, the place was more commercial than I prefer. Hiking in the great outdoors is more my style. But if you want to ice skate on top of a mountain, this might be the right spot for you!

SoloRacerX

How can you not love this place. It's one of our go to stops when I Gatlinburg. It doesn't matter if it is in the summer or winter they have so much to do and see. It keeps you busy all day long. We have been for ski and tubbing and love it. Can't wait for our next visit.

Marzana Zalik

Loved going up. Well worth the $15.

Christian Taylor

It was fun you have to pay for basicly every thing when you get up there but it's fun

samuel anderson

There is a lot to do here...if you brought kids. Overall, it felt like a tourist trap attempting to emulate German/Swiss culture. Could be great if you've never been to Germany or Switzerland though.

Clyde Keene

This is on top of the mountain where they have live music it's so beautiful up there

Tiffany R

Lots of fun but a bit on the pricey side if you want the wristband to do everything. Just a tram ride up & down is very well priced though. Quite a bit to do up at the top though!

Crystal Hatcher Arthur

My son and I had a wonderful time today. The Alpine slide was his favorite (and mine too) . Most of the other rides included in the "Basic" wrist band were too "kiddie" for him. We also added the ice bumper cars. Most of the employees are super nice. Be sure to drop by and see if Brandon S. Is working at the "Beer Necessities" store. He was so helpful with places to visit and see in Tennessee. (I think he deserves a raise!) It was a nice change of pace from the over crowded streets in town .

Todd Meziere

One of my favorite Gatlinburg attractions ... mainly for the tram ride up. The mountain coaster is a blast and the bar overlooking the slopes had some nice German selections. The arcade could use a little updating.

Velma Holland

A lot to do for reasonable price. I would recommend purchasing one of the armbands.

Hannah Phillips

Ober Gatlinburg is not worth the money. Paid quite a bit to go up on the tram, which was pretty neat, but at the top, we just reached disappointment. Half the things the kids wanted to do were closed because of possible rain. (It was blue skies and sunny.) The coaster was open. We did that, and was disappointed because after a LONG wait. If you get stuck behind someone who chooses to go slow, the coaster car beeps and stops you VERY abruptly if you get too close. Not many stores, and the whole place looks outdated and could use a refresh. One store we were interested in was closed with a sign that they’d be back 15 minutes later, and an hour later was still closed. If you’re considering Ober Gatlinburg, I’d reconsider and spend my money elsewhere. There are so many other fun and interesting things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that ARE worth the investment.

Diana Miller

Was nice, find it a bit difficult to walk, either a downward or upward trek, I really enjoyed the Pantry Pancake, restaurant,

Erica Casey

It is a little old fashion but very lovely and they are always adding new things. It is pricey but that's to be expected by going to a SKI resort. Don't complain. Do you complain when you go to Disney

Sean Hogan

The view from here is very nice, it was hot in Gatlinburg that day and at the too of the mountain it was refreshingly cool.

Chris Brown

I rode the tram last night only reason I went was to see the view thought it would be nice but how can you enjoy anything or the view when they pack 75 people seriously into the small tram what a joke if I could get my money back I would how can you enjoy anything or see anything packed like sardines and you literally can't move no joke people are all against each other worst ride of my life I will just go back to the ski lift park if I go back its more enjoyable. I would give it a zero but it won't let me if you don't like to be cramm packed against people stay away from this ride

Karen Keane

The ride was a lot of fun. The people working could have more personality. But it was fun

T MB

The best plan of action is the wristbands. The employees are super nice. Definitely ride the Tram up!

Charlie Gill

Great day with friends and bringing out the inner child in a group of middle aged folks. Lots to see and do here

Rebecca Bryan

After paying for parking, we found out that the major rides were closed in advance due to bad weather predicted to start in 3 hours. When simply asked if they would reopen the rides when the weather passed or if the rides had to be completely dry first, the staff acted like we were a major inconvenience. That's a reasonable question since there are no refunds, and we were about to drop well over $200 on admission.

Pete Jucker

One of the great places to come back to year after year. Lots of things to do. The best view of the Smokys with a chairlift ride. OctOberfest rocks

Evelyn Kelley

Band was awesome. Not disabled or elderly friendly, I felt they treat the elderly disrespectful. Just because my mom doesn't look 83, doesn't mean she's not. Oktoberfest in full swing.

Bryan Grace

Arrived about 630pm to look around and purchase tickets to take the tram to town and then back. The website says ticket sales end a half hr. B4 closing and they close at 9pm.. Everything started closing around 6.50ish and we were told only the restaurant was open till 9pm inside. Even the tram ticket was closed but we were told we could drive to town to purchase them?

Kevin Darby

Wow. What did I just spend 60 bucks on?? I couldn't have been more disappointed. The way I envisioned this place in my head is laughable to the actual experience. It's a bowling alley vibe with a Podunk town fair amusement rides. Best thing about this place was leaving it

Lara McDonald

Scenic chairlift is amazing and there is a blue Grass band at the top. Probably one of the best value amusents in the area. If you want to save $15 a person do NOT take the arrival tramway to get there. You can easily drive up ski mountain road and it only costs $8 to park all day.

anne roby

So much to do. Very good prices. Friendly people

Taylor Reason

Tons of different things to do in one location. The alpine slide and the ski mountain coaster were so much fun and we took great pictures from the tramway and the scenic chair lift

Rustin Keller

Even with the premium wristbands be prepared to spend money for the more popular rides. Pass on the cable car ride up the mountain. The ride was crowded and hot. The cars hold up to 120 people and with even half that size you won't be able to see out the windows. Save time and money, just drive to the amusement park, the entrance is just south of where the cable cars are located.

Ciara Aitken

I visited Ober Gatlinburg a day or so ago with my family of varying ages. Needless to say, the whole experience was a little lackluster. All the employees were pleasant. I think it would be a very beautiful attraction to visit during the winter months. However, for the summer months, it doesn't feel like it's catered to the crowd as much.

Amber Toomer

This used to be a staple when visiting Gatlinburg but has gone downhill over the past few decades. The tram is unquestionably the best part, and worth the ride. The alpine slide is inexpensive and a good value, as well. The shops at Ober need seriously refreshed, as do most of the vendors and events there. Definitely not a "must-see" by any stretch, but the tram is worth every penny.

Joseph Eckert

the aerial tram offers breathtaking views on your ride up to the top of the mountain on ski mountain road. There's a lot of things to do up at the top including ice skating and Alpine slide and many shops you can go in and visit. I highly recommend it

Aida Wyland

This was definitely an amazing experience. The only complaint is how busy it is and so it takes long to get up there and it is just as bad or worse to leave, however aside from that it was just great. We had a great time and everybody was very nice, friendly, and helpful. We went snowboarding, but part of our group did the other activities. Overall a great place to spend the day. We will definitely be going back, but this time we will be prepared for the hours upon hours to get up to the mountain and back down.

Joshua Serino

The aerial tram was not worth it. They kept cramming people into our unit to the point that it wasn't enjoyable. If you are claustrophobic and you are looking for a smooth ride up the mountain this isn't for you. And once my wife and I reached Ober Gatlinburg we realized very quickly why the aerial tram was only $15.00 a person; there wasn't much to do. Very disappointing. Wish we would have decided on something else. However, if you are up for cheap entertainment, climb on board....if you can squeeze in.

Appalachian GhostWalks

Was here tonight for the Annual Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest "Business After Hours" event. As an 8 year Chamber Member. I can honestly say that these folks go out of their way to make us all feel like family. Ober Gatlinburg has so many wonderful things to do through the day and, like Appalachian GhostWalks' Ghost, History, and Bigfoot Adventure tours, it is a wonderful experience for families with children. For more information about our antern-led haunted history tours please visit the Appalachian GhostWalks website for additional information and reservations and don't forget to include Ober Gatlinburg on your next visit to the Smokies. Thanks for a wonderful night guys!! We really appreciate your hospitality!!!

Faith Finkes

Fun activities and shopping year round. Great restaurant worth the trip up the hill. Went in summer.

bethany barlow

We used to go here every summer growing up and it was always a must do. I was pretty disappointed and sad when my husband our son and myself just visited. It definitely needs a lot of work. And the prices are absolutely ridiculous. It’s $8 just to park. Not to mention half of the “kiddie” rides are closed and broken.

Debbie Ketron

What have been our new fun place to go oh, what was talked very really to buy some of the Ford employees. A young man named Jonathan saw my frustration when I was asking for some who to talk to and went out of his way to help me out. Will not be going back to Ober Gatlinburg when it would have been somewhere we would have went maybe three times a year

Taylor Yates

Pretty cool ride up. SAVE YOUR TICKETS you can ride all day! also can pay to see more animals... there is also a coaster, ice skating, a maze

Danny Clay

My kids had a blast. I had to leave my dog in the car. Many people travel with there let a d or would make for more business of they would allow leashed pets and a clean up station.

Whitney Cottrell

A full day of fun. From the ride up the mountain on the tram to the Alpine Slide, it is a great mountain experience. I can't wait to go again!

Kayla Stamm

The tram was an awesome ride and all of the staff are amazing, thoughtful, and super helpful. The village on the other hand is ran down and expensive. Everything is individually over priced. The kids package was ok for $10 unlimited kiddie rides but you get maybe 2 hours of fun.

Kate Cromer

Under 5 was free...the ticket up was cheap enough...do the chair lift!!!! That was breathtaking. In hindsight we would not have done thw wrist bands. Our 3 year old didnt rife that much. I recommend!

Gregory A. Hamm

I enjoyed the bluegrass band Mountain Grass. The mountain view was nice but it is just a tourist trap.

Edge Entertainment

Lots of shops, unique items, beautiful views and things for younger children. A little pricy but overall a great experience.

Julie Burall

Fun place. Great views in the tram up. Closes fairly early so don't go too late especially if you buy unlimited ride passes. The mountain coaster and Alpine slide were fun. Nice little zoo.

Cindy Reeves

The ride up on the tram was interesting and not to crowded but the ride down was so overpacked, hard to be comfortable with that many people. At the top inside there is a small ice skating rink and a snack bar, restrooms. Some type of a zoo. Not sure about the rest of the entertainment. Place could use some updating, in my opinion. Several interesting shops.. We really liked the Family Crest shop it had many items related to military that was reasonably priced and nice friendly people. We bought several Marine Corps items. June 2019

Verlin Stamper

There's something here for all members of the family. The aerial tramway offers excellent views of the Smokies. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Linda Kurcaba

Great afternoon. Oktoberfest was great. Good food and entertainment.

James Brown

It is what it is. An amusement park play area aimed primarily at kids and younger couples up in the mountains. Definately kind of pricey like everything else in the Gatlinburg Smokey Mountain area. Several rides that the smaller kids 3-5 can go on by themselves and then several more that kids a little older will enjoy as well as adults. Swings, rock climbing walls, toboggan and sled slides (wet and dry), lift chairs, etc. For adults there is live music, drinks, and scenic viewing at the top of the lift chair ride. I was too big to go on any of the rides except lift chair but I went to watch the Grandkids and take pictures and help out. I still had a good day. My Kids and their kids (my grandkids) had a blast. At the base they have a large food court area and selection as well as several shops if you like to shop. The food is reasonable priced considering and you can buy the Souvenir cup drink and refill it for free all day for a good deal (pop, lemonaide, tea). TWO NOTES: Parking -- ignore all the postings about the horrible drive down from the parking at the top and it eating up your brakes. BS. Use low gear and it is no issue. Weight Limits -- Pay attention to weight limits on brochures ... they enforce it. Too small you don't go. Too heavy - you don't go. Weight limits on some items start at 200lbs over 250 only ride option you have is lift chair and tram ....

Patrick Kostrzewa

Great Place, Pricing is OK. (Pictured Below) If your planning to do a few of the attractions make sure to buy a wristband. Highly Reccomend going up using the Scenic Lift to the top, Breathtaking view (picture below).

Karen Morales

What a fun time we had at this place. Most entertaining tour. Fun rides. Reasonably priced.

Bobbie Sue Brown

Awesome time. We loved it. We didn't get our money worth out of the premium band but my kids still had a lot of fun.

Samantha Knight

The ride up the mountain in the tram is nice but a separate cost from everything else. The scenic chairlift ride is really cool with a beautiful view at the top. The mountain coaster is pretty neat as well. The rest of place is a bit of a let down, although when you have kids under 5, the fact that they get to do most things for free is nice. Overall appearance makes it look like they haven't put money into upkeep and they probably should discount the wristband when not all rides are functional/open.

Clint From Illinois

Nice place beautiful views. Go to the top its worth every minute. The "wildlife exhibition " was the only thing I would change. 3 sad bears walking in circles. Seemed like a miserable existence.

Bonzie Davis

I suppose it great if you have money to blow. The staff were very short and were completely lacking in customer service skills. Everyone seemed like they could care less if you were happy and having a good time, only seemed to care about the money. Food was barely warm, extremely expensive.

Christopher Barry

Good but it feels like a dated tourist trap. Im sure it's high traffic so stuff wears out (and tourists are hard on stuff) but for the price of how much everything is, I feel that the overall experience should have been better.

Stephanie Davidson

My boys had the best time ever. We went in July, I'd love to come back in Fall and Winter to check it out

Burt Strickland

Really enjoyed it. I took my daughter there in July and she loved it

Lulu Grant

Fun place! I recommend coming here.

Dianna Battistone

Nice ride. Did the Wildlife Encounter. Herbert was very informative & the only staff we saw actually doing anything. Can tell he cares about the animals & wants you to have a great experience. Thanks for letting my grandkids help feed the otters. They loved it.

Caleb Lewber

I have been here many times, great experience but they nickle and dime you so much, the ride up is not cheap, then you have to pay separately for the rides and then pay again to see the animals. Over all it's a good time but have your CC ready because its definitely a money pit. I wish they offered a full pass for the rides and ride up so you could pay one fee for everything.

Mike Tisdale

Maybe it is better to come later in the day when the crowds are much bigger. We got here at 10am (when they open). It is now 10:30am and they will not open any rides or sell tickets for them since they are still waiting on staff (college kids working summer jobs I assume) to show up to work them.

April Smith

Liked it better when the amusement rides didnt cost so much

Samantha Kaiser

Not a whole lot to do and I thought it was over priced. The ride up was cool and the chairlift was fun, just make sure you don't get stuck behind a slow kid if you go down the slide.

Sonya L Fine

Love this place!! I can't wait to go back.

Billie Heizer

Such a fun place to go in Gatlinburg, we head there every trip!

Terri Crosby

Everyone will love a visit here. We even had a blast tubing in the rain! A great place to enjoy on New Year’s Eve for kid!

Melanee Melia

This place was so fun. My little girl painted her face, rode the carousel, saw the bears, and enjoyed the ride to the top! Thanks for the great time

We Gujarati

We were looking for a few activities to do in Gatlingburg before our cabin was ready, and this was a great choice. The ride up on the lift is great. It's large and enclosed so even my heights weary son was fine (FYI there are very few seats so you will be standing). The view was fantastic. At the top there was a wide variety of things to do. We went before Memorial Day at it was not crowded at all. Activities at the top ran about $4-8 each with a couple more expensive ones. There is stuff for all ages from carousel for preschoolers to bigger rides for older kids. We did the Alpine slide and the wildlife encounter. The kids loved seeing the otters get fed, and I loved getting to sit and watch the bears which were very active and playing. The Alpine slide and chair lift up were great and not as pricey as the ones we have done in Colorado. Since you control your own speed, be sure and put space between you and the person in front of you if you want to go fast and they are really slow or the ride is disappointing.

Anthony Petricca

Lots to do and see. Amazing views of the Smokies!

Jody G

This is one ride you have to take. You can see so much and it was a great way to just relax for a moment. Once on top have a beverage and listen to the band that is playing

Bonnie Kuhn

Great family friendly fun at a reasonable price. Fun for ALL ages! If you are in the area, it is a must see and do family stop. Hollywood is fun but this place is filled with so many unique rides and indoor and outdoor activities that are fun for all. Memories are made here on your day out, weekend stay-cation or week long stay.

Jason Eads

Always a nice trip into Gatlinburg when we go to Dollywood. Love the shops and today I ride the chair lift and Alpine Slide for the 1st time in 29 years. Great places to eat to. Check out Hot Diggity Dog. Great Dogs other foods and wonderful staff.

Todd's Toys

The tram is loaded to full capacity and is miserable to ride if you aren't one of the first to enter it. Once you get up to Uber Gatlinburg though, it's quite beautiful. The lookout at the very top is breathtaking, but be prepared to spend a bit just to get up there. Lots of activities up top, but it seems like it would be much more entertaining to visit in the winter, as we visited in the Spring and a lot of the activities weren't running. Still, worth a visit while in town.

Steven Ortbals

Fun spot for the family, a bit outdated. Staff was friendly and everything was mostly clean. Huge money grab, as everything cost money per event. Food at snack stands is below average, kids had cheeseburgers and brats, soft pretzels might have been the worst I've had anywhere. Fudge shop was fun to watch, but fudge was also below average. Views and rides were good and fun but be ready to spend some money.

Christopher Grindle

Wonderful weather on the MTN. Took the Tram to the top. Then we rode a 2 person chair lift to the very top to listen to live Bluegrass band named Mountain grass. Very peaceful out in the wilderness and small crowd of ppl and No sound of busy town life up here

James Hamilton

One of the more affordable all day attractions in the area. We spent an entire day here and originally figured it would only be 3-4 hours. Well worth it and by far the best view of the entire trip.

Paul Sclippa

Great place for family fun. Didn't know that Gatlinburg had so many attractions downtown. Friendly locals and staff wherever we went. You can definitely spend the whole day exploring getting to know the area. The highlight was taking the Tram up the mountain. Gorgeous views. A place to come back? Absolutely!!

Teena George

The food was awesome as always, the service was not up to par like it always has been.

Pat English

The mountain Coaster was very fun, and the drive up to the ski resort to get to it was an adventure as well. $16 a ride, it only lasts about 5-7 exciting minutes. There is another one where the 2 nd ride down is half price, I’ll try that next time!

Zachary Cutting

Awesome place to go and spend the day. Plenty of stuff to do for all ages. Ice bumper cars were definitely the highlight for us. Small zoo the kids will enjoy as well.

Ricci Thomas

We love riding the air tram up to Ober! The views are beautiful and amazing and it's pretty nice up there lots of stuff to do

Billy Draper

Ober Gatlinburg is a amusement park, ski area and shop area that offers Gatlinburg visitors a nice change of pace. The mountaintop stop offers fun for visitors of all ages. There is ice skating, outdoor activities, shopping & dining. In the past we visited Ober Gatlinburg by car, this time we stayed in town and took the gondola. The view from the gondola is impressive and worth any wait. There are two trams, one on each end, and they leave the station every 20 minutes or so. Enjoy the ride, the view is spectacular. We visited the animal encounter exhibit, the bears were quite active. The exhibit has bears, snakes, otters, birds and other smaller animals. Enjoy the trip, we will go again.

Dustin Gibbs

Had fun ate good food rryed a couple of new beers had a good day..

Scott Tavernier

Nice attraction but everything closed early on a Sunday for the cost of tram you would think everything would be open

Eric Meyer

Love coming here and visiting. The ride up the mountain was amazing. The highlight for my kids was the mountain coaster.

William Brewer

A must see in Gatlinburg! It was nice and cool being up in the mountains as opposed to town. The value for the money was good; just buy the premium wrist band for all day fun! The ski lift to get to the alpine slide was a challenge since they combine it with the sky lift to the top. You can't ride the slide more than a few times before your sick of waiting on line. Head inside for ice skating and ice bumper boats! Is so nice and cool in there! I highly recommend it!

Cecilia Reichert

We had a blast at Ober Gatlinburg. We bought the premium wrist bands that included most of the rides plus the wildlife encounter, 1 free ice skating session, 1 free ice bumper cars session, and the Alpine slide. We had to pay extra for the mountain coaster and the summer tubing. Our son loved the Alpine slide so much that we had to do it four times. There wasn't much of a line in the rides that if we want to do the rides again, we don't have to wait in line for a long time.

Lindsey Rapp

First time here and it definitely left an impression. We went on the the lift up to the top and once we were up there we went on the sky lift to the top. It takes 15 minutes to go up and then come back down. At the top of that sky lift they take your picture and there is a live band. I’ve never see such a great view before, we were very high up in the mountains. My sister and I also did the alpine coaster which is a fun, and the prices on the mountain are fairly cheap. You pay for the trip up and the pay individually for everything on the mountain.Gift shops and food on the mountain.

Meagan Mann

I really enjoyed this facility. I didn't get to partake in ALL of the things that we could have done (my son was disappointed) since we had to get back for another scheduled excursion. LOTS of choices for those of all ages. The all inclusive band is really the way to save money instead of paying piecemeal for your rides/activities. I wish that there were more food options.

Andrew Axsom

The ride up and down was my favorite part. But there is some cool things to do at the top of the mountain. Ice skating and some other fun things.

Alison Wofford

The views from the tram are breathtaking. The food in the restaurant was generic but tasty. The kid rides are very outdated and could use some sprucing up. The mountain coaster was a lot of fun. Didn't get to check out the small zoo, Alpine slide, or maze. The activities are very pricey, as expected. Overall I was a little unimpressed considering all the hype about it.

Michael Hill

I'm sure it's fun during the winter. But during the off season, it's not worth the money or effort. Most of the stuff inside the main building and the main building itself is very dated. It needs to be updated. Badly. The arcade on the top floor is like a museum. The "amusement" park outside is pitiful. This place needs a major investment put into it. Lots of potential wasted.

B Corbin

Most of the attractions are for small children, but the tram is fun. Plus you can take another skylift to go even higher up the mountain. The animal encounter is really cool. Their nocturnal animal room is extremely neat. Plenty of shops and places to eat. Their restaurant upstairs has good food with even better views. Great places for families with young kids.

Quikdraw 72

By far worth seeing if you're in the Gatlinburg area. Ober Gatlinburg has both scenery and attractions, and lots to do, including seasonal skiing and snowboarding, which we really enjoyed. All necessary equipment is available onsite for rental for all ages. The mall is unique and has lots to offer, including a full size ice skating rink.

Rhonda Rounds

Super expensive to do anything. Looks like a nearly defunct carnival in most parts. Shop yourself a favor, save money. A real same because I remember it being nice when I was a child, but of course I'm 33. I wish I'd skipped the whole thing and saved money.

Joyce Ventre

Been here many times over many decades. They continue to make nice improvements. Kids loved it!

Victoria McDaniel

It’s been many years since I have been here and was honestly disappointed with my experience this time. Nothing seems to be updated and it felt like they tried to squeeze in more carnival type rides and games. Prices are also not good.
