We stayed at a hotel attached to the Waterpark which offered a discounted rate for Waterpark passes and complimentary spectator passes. Had our hotel not offered this, we would not have been back. The good: Lots to do as the park has plenty of “attractions” from slides to a small lazy river. The bad: Lack. Of. Lifeguards. WOW. My husband worked in a similar hotel Waterpark as a lifeguard several years ago and we were appalled by the lack of attention the lifeguards on duty had. We went to the Waterpark 3 nights in a row. The large slides had a lifeguard at the top and one at the bottom. No lifeguards are the smaller slides attached to the play area, which I observed the slides at the play area had several kids going down right after another. Although these slides are smaller, there definitely should be a guard at the top monitoring when a child comes out and then allowing the next child to go. At the bottom of the large slides, the guard seemed to be more focused on stacking up the tubes than paying attention to the people coming out of the slides. At one point, while waiting for my son to come down a slide, I personally had to get the attention of the lifeguard (who was busy stacking up slide tubes) as a little girl was struggling to swim to the stairs. If you do not have a strong swimmer, heck, even if your kid is an expert, know that you will need to monitor them as the staff sure won’t. The hot tub is lukewarm and is overrun by children of all ages. There is not a lifeguard posted near the hot tub area so if you’re looking to relax, look elsewhere, as the posted hot tub rules are not enforced. Overall very disappointed with this Waterpark and primarily all due to the lack of Lifeguards. I hope that management will look into this before something terrible happens.

Three stars for this water park. Mostly clean environment, family friendly food options. A big plus; they give Military discounts. The reason for three stars are: 1: There are almost no lifeguards on duty. The ones that are, look like they absolutely hate their job. This is definitely no Great Wolf Lodge. 2: There are several slides that are out of order, or in need of major maintenance. 3: Extremely pricey for an a water park of this size, and with non functional rides.

The best water slides in Rapid City! Family fun for all ages

Its really fun but... every time I go I get super sick! There is not one time that I went there and didn’t get sick!

Doug Luckett

Great place, lots of fun

Tina

Great water park and reasonably priced.

The frst time I had a great experience. This time was okay I had fun with my daughter but the kids of all ages except babies and other toddlers we're really rough and mostly pretty rude. With the exception of a few who actually had manners. One boy who knew the staff pushed my two year old twice one was into the outside of the slide in the kid section. The other time was when she was trying to climb the stairs he blatantly could not wait his turn and stopped my daughter in her tracks. Then other people pushed her under water a couple times in the lazy river and another little girl purposely hit her in the head as she went by. But that is not the hotels problem but rude people and children who just attended the park that today. The staff is great! Very clean nicely setup. As for my daughter going under she was wearing a vest and I was within arms reach. To many people were in the pools at once to be able to make any moves. Even I was pushed under a time or two. So we went and got something to eat while waiting for people to clear out.

Furious Dude

Liked it but the lifegaurds are to strict

mellisa zuniga

Kids had a blast at the water park the arcade wasn't worth the money and they tried to rip my youngest daughter off on tickets had to go set them straight but other than that was awesome nice little bar pool side.

Merissa Athans

Always good service every time we come. Definitely got some good food as well.

We stayed at the Residence Inn from Thursday April 4th to Sunday April 7th. We booked our reservations for 7 rooms 3 months before our stay. There were 31 of us in our group-we drive from Sioux Falls, SD to meet family from Wyoming here every year. We got awesome rates at like $70 a night. We weren't informed prior to check in nor at check in that Watiki water park was being cleaned and wouldn't be opened until 4pm Friday. Nor was there a sign aluding to that fact. Of the 31 people in our group, about 13 were children that were pulled out of school to for two days to come stay at this hotel and swim for vacation. They did remedy this by providing free waterpark passes to us for Saturday. However, Saturday we had major issues with the waterpark and its staff. A young blonde kid with glasses and tattoos (a pool manager I guess) came up to a mom in our group and informed her that one of our kiddos was being kicked out. There was apparently an altercation between her and another little girl to which the other little girl supposedly had marks on her from our kiddo. No adult witnessed this nor did a lifeguard. The young blonde guy wasn't concerned with investigating the altercation at all. He was adamant that our kiddo was being kicked out. My 9 year old daughter was a witness to the altercation and was saying that the other little girl was lying and had actually started the altercation. Myself, my daughter, two moms from our group, our kiddo that was being kicked out, the other little girl's aunt, her father, the young blonde manager and the arcade manager were all discussing what happened. And while we were pleading for them to investigate to see if it was true, the other little girl's aunt (whom was shaking and visibly upset and angry) got in my face. The arcade manager stepped in between us and the aunt said thet were leaving and walked away. I said kids bullshit their parents all of the time so how do we know this little girl is telling them truth. The blonde, young manager with glasses informed me that I needed to remove myself from the conversation because my daughter wasn't involved, however she witnessed the altercation. I did say that was a good idea and left the conversation because the younger blonde manager with glasses was awfully pompous and I was starting to become upset myself. After I had left the conversation the arcade manager told another mom in our group that the "yappie" one better shut up or she's going to get kicked out. That mom suggested pulling the video tape and after that was suggested the other little girl admitted to starting the altercation and kicking our kiddo and our kiddo retaliated. So, these two young men, (MANAGERS!) upset and basically bullied (without any proof) an 11 year old little girl because another little girl was only telling a half truth. Same day we ended up with a few of our kiddos and myself getting cooper wire in our feet while I the hot tub. When we complained about the cooper wire the kids were getting the managers (same two guys) were not at all concerned about fixing the problem. When I got the wire in my foot however, I kept it in my foot, marched myself up to the arcade and demanded to see the manager that called me "yappie." I informed him that "the yappie one is not happy" and I stuck my foot in his face showing him the wire in my foot. He asked if he could pull it out, which he did but left a little chunk in my foot yet. I was not at all nice to him. He tried telling me that I won't speak to him as i was and i told himn "To hell i wont. I will talk to you however i like since you have called a paying customer names "yappie" and obviously are not taking this wire situation seriously." I told him that this is a serious thing and needed to be fixed or there is going to be one hell of a Google review. He said to me that they weren't concerned because it seemed to only be our group. (Like we were planting cooper wire in our foots...) I walked away from him. A few minutes later they shut down the hot tub and cleaned it.

Blackwolf56748

It was a really fun place but I wasnt a big fan of how the kids get to go in the hot tub.

Shawn Rushton

My family spent the morning at Watiki yesterday and we all had a great time. This was our 2nd time coming here and there's a reason we make a trip to visit. It was not very busy this time around and the longest we waited to go down a slide was less than 5 minutes with no wait at all most of the time. The lifeguards personable and were having fun with some of the guests. We'll definitely be back for another visit.

Dylan Watkins

We were here a few weeks ago. Awesome place to hangout. One of the workers, I believe his name was Matt, made the overall experience 10 times better with how talkative and positive he was with his customers

Vernette Derdall

Our 12 year old son was beaten up by an older kid at the water park. The older kid said our kid was messing with his tube. Our child wasnt.. The life guard said she didnt see it so she wasnt going to do anything about it!!! Our child was black and blue and bleeding!!!...Next day SAME kid...Life guard talked to both boys and the bigger older kid lied and said our child threw 1st punch....So she didnt do a damn thing..!!!..the Older kid had no Mark's etc..He SHOULD have been thrown out of the water park!.... hotel La Quintana...was AWESOME!...Water park management was HORRIBLE!!! GLAD NO ONES KID DROWNED IF they couldnt see a fist fight....ugg....

Race Track

Its not bad, its not super awesome either, its always packed, and ppl run into you, its just small

Suzanne Miesen

Great place to take the kids! This day it was not crowded. My wish is for them to expand it due to it being crowded most times I go.

John Coe

Great family outing

Ben Miller

Family spent the afternoon/evening here. Everyone had a good time. Very popular stop with lots of people.

Rosetammy Groves

Love it here. The kifs always have a blast.

Shelly Stark

One of our favorite activities! Small enough to get lots of water fun, and good slides. Food available, and you don't have to stay at the hotel to do the park. Recommend!

Sarah Kallal

Dude. This place is awesome. I’ve been to a lot of water parks with the kiddos and this tops the cake. A couple things I love especially....1) they have a super reasonable height requirement and if your kid is too short they can at least ride with you. All their pools are catered towards adults and kids so the basketball area and the lazy river are all shallow enough so they are safe for littles. The water slides themselves are amazing and fun - unique and all that jazz and the little kid water park is hours of entertainment in itself. We are from Minneapolis and would seriously drive the 9 hours just to get here because it’s better than anywhere else!

Jessi Drury

This place gets dirtier every time .... I live in Rapid and have been to Waitiki pry ten times. Once my ex husband scraped his leg and ended up with a staph infection from the stairs here. We tried to give it another shot. Prices continue to go up ...we brought our own towels but we're still charges a towel tax which is stupid and the price is misleading. It cost $52.29 for me and two kids to come for the day....that's ridiculous. There is no discount for being a local. The handicap changing room smelled like a dirty bathroom and the door got cought on another changing room door and basically trapped us in the stall. The ropes on the kids slides are full of black mold. I don't plan on returning unless they can clean the place up and charge a reasonable price...or at least ask I would of gladly shown our towels to not pay the extra almost $5 in "tax." Disappointed and a little bitter about the whole experience.

Ana Dominguez

I think this water park is the best in town, a little smaller than I’m used to but it’s nice. Love the hot tub(:

Kim Renken

Such a fun place, but it's time to expand! Your pool staff does a great job.

jonathan ruiz

My family and I had a blast here! Staff was friendly and the amenities here are excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed watiki! We'll be back!

Paul Schell

Great Waterpark. Wont ever eat at the restaurant. Expensive food.

John Boettcher

Great place to take the kids while on vacation near the black hills! The waterslides are great and there are little if any height restrictions on the big slides, which makes it fun for everyone! The only drawback is the price. Cost $83 for one adult and 2 children under 12. Just didn't have enough inside the park to justify that price. If we come again, we will definitely stay on site. Even though the rooms are much more expensive than other places you could stay, the admission to the waterpark makes up for it.

Sherry Hanson

Our family has been visiting Watiki since it was first built. It used to be a fun, local place to go for a quick overnight stay for us, but now it is so crowded and over priced, it is no longer enjoyable. Maybe because there are four hotels connected to it and more hotels right next door, but it is impossible to find a place to sit at tables, in the hot tub, or swim in general. The pool area needed to triple in size when they added on the other hotels. There should be a maximum capacity as well for safety reasons and the priority should be given to hotel guests with passes. Rapid City needs to build some kind indoor/outdoor water park like the Waterworld in Denver or Sioux Falls. I also agree with Marcy who posted about the lack of lifeguards and staff, there are not enough staff compared to the amount of people. The hot tub was also barely warm and there should definitely be lifeguard presence there. We saw several young children with no parent and there were some parents with small infants! Not safe!

Lisa Shrock

Love the fun with my kids.

Greg Mack

Friendly staff, park area and water were clean. Really good food available in park from Marcos pizza. Only 3 water slides (two that require tubes, one body slide). Compared to other water parks (i.e. Wisconsin Dells) it was a bit small. Kiddie area looked nice. Locker room and showers were co-ed (privacy stalls, like public bathrooms, for changing). Decent park, but all day pass is kind of pricey, not sure there is enough stuff to warranty staying all day. We played for two and a half hours, and had a beverage.

Robert Kroeger

Very enjoyable experience, we went on a Tuesday night and it wasn’t too busy!

Sierra Cruz

Great for all ages!

Heather Mollman

The prices are high when you add it on to staying in the hotel. The rest of the experience is great. My kids are 12,14 and 16 and we came with friends who's youngest was 7. Watiki has a great little kid area. It has 3 slides, a dump bucket and sprayers everywhere. The larger area has 3 slides, a pool with basketball hoops, a lazy river and a large hottub. The hottub wasn't super hot, more like bathtub temperature. They offer towels, which were aplenty and life jackets. There was plenty of space to sit. We ate dinner, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and it was all really good. Referring to other reviews, We didn't find any bugs, we didn't see any fights, and noone asked us to hold their children. It's a great time and I'm sure your child will enjoy.

CK Lo

Not the best water park, not the worst either. Granted we visited in October on a weekday, so admission price was acceptable and the park was quiet. The slides were fun for the first time, didn't feel the needs for second runs. Lazy river is ummm... super lazy... As in it's not really moving if you aren't moving yourself.

Shyla Boyd-Wright

Fun place to have fun with kiddos and the staff is very attentive.

samantha salinas

I loved it it was so much fun with my big brother

Annalysia Volk

A really great option for family time. My son and I have an annual pass and go here often and we still have fun every time. Good food and a quality facility.

Justin Kane

super fun pools and slides. We all enjoyed this a lot. we spent almost an entire day going down slides and swimming. Prices were good for what you get. Lifeguards were young and pretty lackluster when it came to unruly kids. We still had a great time, it was easy to get food and drinks brought to the pool.

Hinzewelder57

Great water park experience! Clean very curtious staff. We drove from Greeley CO to come to the water park and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this place over the Wolf lodge in CO.

Elizabeth Stuard

The place is too small for the amount of people they let in. They couldn't keep up with the cleanliness of the place, bf found bandaid and other trash in hot tub, there were used towels laying around on the floor through out our time there, women's bathroom was gross. The hot tub is the least relaxing hot tub I've been in, it was luke warm my 1 1/2 year old was able to play in there with me, on my lap. It was so crowded people were just squatting in the center, no room to move around once you found space you stayed there. I stayed in to warm her and I up from the little too cold water in the other areas, she was chattering. The hot tub had cold water coming in at times. The jet I was sitting at had good pressure though. There is no area for toddlers to play in the water. The equipment has water dumping every where and the water that's spraying every where can be turned up by other people making it too hard for a toddler. There are three slides on the equipment which was nice, but no slides my toddler could go down alone. It would have been nice to have a toddler pool and equipment set that I could just watch her climb on her own. The deeper pool for older kids seemed real small. The lazy river was boring and short. It also had a high narrow bump in the center that I stubbed my toe on. They have three other big slides, two for tubes and one without. They actually let my daughter go down the tube slides with an adult, so that's a plus, we've been to other water parks that won't allow that. The setup is a supervision nightmare. It would be difficult to watch more than one area effectively. They have three exits, not including the two fire exits. The changing room is a peeping Tom's dream and also too small/too few changing rooms. The lockers are ridiculously priced, be prepared to pay $8 or more if you need a locker bigger than a little square one. The price is too high for this water park. I liked the flooring around the walking areas.

Grahm Sharnowski

It's a fun place and grate for kids and adults

Merissa Gehm

Fun place to go and swim. The rooms here are pretty nice as well.

Mike Crook

Always a great escape during those cold winter months!

Tiffanie Hodges

Love this place have season pass great prices

Jennifer Jones

Good way to kill some time.

grace finnerty

It catered for all needs entertainment food drinks ect

Ryan Branson

Added an additional day to our family vacation to visit the water park and had a great time. Recommend this place to everyone.

Ashley Taggart

Was a lot of fun, but felt there was an accident waiting to happen the lazy river was full of kids horse play not in tubes, kids running and sliding where the big bucket dumps could crash into others and fall, people were going down the slides two quick before the person was down and crashing I to others at the bottom knocking people overfelt there was not enough life guards on duty coming from Wisconsin in the dells these things would never happen.

Colin Higgins

Really cool waterpark, nice warm waters and a lazy river and water playground for the kiddos. The yellow slide is a great ride for the big kids, aka me, and really gets you moving fast! Sliders Bar and Grill is good, not a lot of selection but convenient to nosh on after riding the slides for a while.

Jessica Miles

It's a great place but over crowded

Ke Ruffin

This place is disgusting. We arrived in the morning to beat the crowds and even at their opening time the floors were disgusting with cookie crumbs and pizza from the night before. the staff purchasing our wristbands were super rude. We go to order pizza and they ran out of large pizzas and then they were out of pepperonis because “they just sold 11000 pizzas”.. it’s 11:00 in the afternoon! When I asked if we could just order pizza and have it delivered due to their shortage the waitress gave me an attitude and told me my family could take our pizza and eat in the lobby if we made that choice. Ignorant staff, disgusting facility. Not worth the 20.00 a person at all

Seth Parks

Packed as always lots of birthdays going on fun place for the kids to burn some energy off foods a little high priced but thay have drinks for the adults and rooms if you or the kids dont want to leave

Ashtyn Kolkman

It's a fun place to take younger kids it does get boring after a while but it is really nice. However, be careful when you come off the slides because the floor of the pool is really rough and it hurts when you tumble off the slides only to scrape a body limb

Wendy n

The water seems cold. There are WAY too many people here on the weekends and I feel it's a bit pricy. Cool slides and lazy river.

Dustin Bartlett

Great staycation for our family. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it's a great place to bring your family. Be warned, though, that just being a spectator costs $10 per person.

Christopher Sorenson

Place is Great. Been here for 3 weeksy son Alex doesn't want us to leave.

Darth Bacca

I've been to watiki a ton of times and it eventually gets boring I think they need to add on personally.

Creed Rulez

Was alot of fun, food was great and staff was very helpful.

Matt G-ness

It's a pretty cool place to bring kids, three small child friendly slides and three big slides, a lazy river and massive splash pad playground. Summer rates are a bit insane though, $25 a person, 17.89 for kids 6 and under.

Lance McGough

This place was actually a lot of fun. It was far better than I expected. I appreciate that the attached restaurant has reasonable prices so that I didn't have to leave and come back. It made everything significantly easier. If you are in Rapid City, SD, you really should check it out

Shane Hoffman

Great water park for both young and older kids. They have some pretty big slides for the older kids and adults. They have a huge hot tub. The lazy river is good size. For the adults they have alcoholic beverages that you can buy and bring into the water park from the bar

Levi Ziegler

Good place to take the kids on a hot afternoon.

Justine Hendrickson-Wagner

Not really a pool for smaller kids where they can avoid being splashed by bigger kids.

Chad Birger

This place is cool. Fun water park with tons to do. Indoors so it can be utilized year round and attached to multiple hotels. We will be back.

Nikki Milleson

Great place for family fun and relaxing. A bit

Nancy Naprstek

Great fun without the sunburn

Enosakhare Sule

I really. Enjoyed my stay. The dishwasher came in handy and that stove was very nice. Would recommend to my friends, would come again

Hollie Brogan

The staff was extremely pleasant. The pool would have been nice but there were far too many people. It felt gross, like swimming in a cesspool. There was so much chlorine in the water that all of my kids had skin burns/rashes after. Maybe that was just them but after getting in once I knew that I personally didn’t feel comfortable with the amount of chlorine I was smelling or feeling. I totally understand that with that many people you probably need that much chlorine. The water felt thick with chlorine. We also had a few teens that were cussing and screaming in my smaller children’s faces. There isn’t much control. Lines were looooonnnnnnng. We honestly would never go back.

brody stevens

Really fun slides and splash park. The people that work here are super nice as it seems to be the case everywhere in South Dakota. The only complaint I would have is it doesn't seem like they have the water very clean. I really don't care but it bothered my wife and my son quite a bit.i wouldn't shy away from here. It's pretty dang fun!

s beck

Small cozy place, just right, not big crowds wish they had more food selections, other then that all was good

Matt Woll

Kids always love this place. Tube slides are fun for all ages.

Miss King

Good place to let the kiddos have fun while I read a book. You can sit inside the area that they swim in or head to the Sliders Bar & Grill where its less noisy and a few degrees cooler

Calvin Selig

Fun water park with some nice slides and a short but fun lazy river. Great place to spend a few hours even on a cold day. Lockers are nice as you can pay with a credit card and access as many times as needed.

Chris Braveheart

Its winter but we had fun. The girl working the counter for the wrist bands was very pleasant. The folks that were working checked on us to see if we needed anything. There was lots of towels.

Lee Droog

The Marriott was wonderful and tried to accommodate to funneling sales to the water park. The park is average and good for a night where you do not have anything to do . Buyer beware however. They advertise late night (8-10 pm) prices but charge you the full after 5 pm rates for a “towel fee and tax.” I really dislike false advertising. Just be honest and charge the same.

Scott Hendrickson

This is a small indoor waterpark that has a restaurant and four hotels connected to it. The park has three large slides, two of which can be used with a tube. There is also a large kid play area, a lazy river, and a small pool with basketball hoops. It’s pretty awesome during winter but holidays it will be super packed and there are way too many people. Prices are decent, especially if you can a package with your hotel stay.

LordLykon

Good food and a fun time.

Elisha Burton

Great place to stay and swim and work

Ryan Trejo

My son loves going would take him everyday after work since I was working at Fairfield

Peter Hutzel

We had alot of fun there, and our four year old loved it!

mike fox

I love going here when I want to hang out with my friends! It may be pricy but definitely worth every penny!

Richard Grumm

Nice place. Slides bump you around a bit. One in our party bumped his head. The red and blue slide shoot got him. I scraped my big toe on gritty floor of tube run. Loud place too due to greenhouse glass. Kids lived it and the bell ringing water cascade.

Sarah Bomford

Watiki is a fun place for the kids. It's fun and so many slides. Everything was great except for the fact the the hotel has bed bugs and even though they wash their towels you still get bit when you want to dry off. Bring your own towels and make sure you wash them or throw them out as soon as you get home. The staff seemed nice but once you talk to the golf we talked to at the front desk she seemed like she didn't understand how bugs can be in the towel and I showed her the bite marks and she seemed like she didn't understand the words coming out of my mouth so I just said scres this we just won't be back for awhile.

Jennifer Ramirez

Great place for family fun! Both my kids had a great time. My son even fell asleep as we floated around the lazy river. :) best part they provide life jackets, towels and showers to rinse off. Facility was clean and upkept well!

Mira Lavender

This place is the most amazing water park ive been to! The family had SO much fun on a recent vacation, we actually booked another stay here for the summer! The kids play area is really wonderful, they all adore it. The lazy river is absolutely fantastic, a great way to lounge about. And the water slides are equally as amazing. The Toilet Bowl is everybodies favorite. The pool side food isnt bad, and the people working here are all around pretty delightful!! Definitely recommend!

Hans Gillan

Small slides and busy but still fun

Benjamin Heidgerken

Uhhhhhmazing! Weirdest place to find a water park, but very good equipment for kids. And in the off-season, the deals are pretty great--and a way out of the cold!

Krispea Project

Nice place to go staycation. They have a wonderful indoor waterpark. Where kids can enjoy and have a great time. Even if its winter time they are open. Plus they have events and promos that are really great just like last new years eve ball drop we went to in this picture.

Monica Huber

Small, yet large enough facility that you don’t feel overwhelmed trying to “fit everything in”. We were actually here on July 4th. We went mid morning and there were maybe 75 people there(families). It was quite nice. We could watch our 9 and 11 year old daughters from the tables and feel confident in there safety. The only, only thing I did not like was the many, many strands of hair all over the stairs going to to slides etc... this is my own personal issue and most everyone around me did not notice or even care... It is pricey to get in...if you can find coupons or discounted tickets somewhere, I would go that route. There are clean, small towels always available, lockers(cost $8-$20) depending on size. Be sure to bring a debit or credit card as the lockers this day did not take cash. There is a food place which we did not use and if you don’t want to swim or participate, you will have to pay a “spectator” fee. So you might as well suit up and have some fun. You will receive wrist bands so that you can leave and come back anytime during the day you go. As far as lifeguards....there are teenagers standing around a few areas, but if you have little ones or they aren’t strong swimmers, plan on being with them on the slides, the basketball pool or the lazy river.

Michael Waite

Great fun for the kids. Somewhat organized chaos!

Tait Hope

Always a blast going to Watiki! Great service, great facility, couldent have asked for a better day off.

Oliver Puppel

Pretty pricey - for a family of four to swim it can be over $100. The kids love it here and there's lots for them to do. Overall just average considering the cost, though.

Joshua Homer

Nice place to take the family for water fun!

Mallory Tuttle

We visited the water park when on vacation. The price was definitely worth it. I LOVED that the showers/toilets and the dressing rooms were separate. I hate trying to keep dry cloths off the nasty floor while trying not to fall in a toliet. Usually after a water park visit I feel very water log and just sick. I don't know if it is because they keep it warm(but not suffocating) or what but we all felt good after 4hrs of swimming and having fun. Best in door pool ever!!

Blake Dizzy

The actual water park itself is fun, great slides and kids area. The safety of this water park is horrible compared to other places like Great Wolf Lodge! Literally zero rules when it comes to safety on the slides and not enough lifeguards at all. Also the lifeguards didn't seem to be interested in life guarding at all, more interested in talking to each other and standing around instead of watching the pools, slides and walking the edge of the pools to make sure no one was drowning.

Jesse Scott

A great place for the kids and family! It'd be nice if there were more of a general swimming pool but that's just being picky.

Greg Stiefel

Everything was great, friendly staff and super amenities.

Jennifer Baker

Staying in town a few days and this was definitely on our to do list. Overall we had a good time. It is an indoor water park so it is small. Unfortunately for us a daycare was there today so they had maybe 3 adults "watching" about 50 unsupervised wild kids. Fun for the kids not so fun for us and staff seems to be so complacent about enforcing the rules or safety that I was over the experience pretty quick.

AMANDA ALEXANDER

2nd time at Watiki. The seating/table arrangements need a better set up. People reserve tables to hold towels and will spend the whole time in the water, so those who do prefer to sit at the tables struggle to find a spot. 1st time I stayed, my car happened to be apart if a "random" tire slashing and our vehicles also just so happened to be "just out of camera view". Never received any compensation for the incident. Though I understand it's not in their control we were given reason to believe it wasnt that random and was actually linked to a previous employers "drama" plus given we were under the impression our vehicles were in a parking lot under better surveillance than it was, even the police weren't going ti be able to prove whom, no prosecution, no reimbursement. It obviously didn't stop me from bringing my kids again though because they love it. But now I know where NOT to park. Definitely tourists pricing on alcohol and confusing rules about "not bringing outside food and beverage" but another sign says you can bring in kid drinks as long as it's not glass... Overall fun time. I've stayed at both hotels and I'm not sure I could say one is better than the other. Suite rooms are small in my opinion and not many executive/presidential rooms.

This was an amazing place! It was lots of fun for kids all ages. There are three large slides two for tubes and one big body slides and there are also 3 smaller slides by the playground area. The life guards made sure you didn’t drown but they didn’t really seem to care much else what you do. There is also an arcade which is fun! It is pretty expensive but in my opinion worth the money. Recommend this place!

A nice little waterpark place. There's a limited amount of tables and not enough for every family to have one. If you go in the summer time, the prices are on the expensive side ($25.99 plus tax per person over 7). You have to complete 5 flights of stairs to get to the main raft waterslides. I highly recommend you place in order for Marco's Pizza (near hotel) to bring inside the waterpark for a snack. But overall it's a nice waterpark if you are bored and want to have some pool time

Austin Melms

Clean and great food!

Seth Y.

There was plenty to do. The deepest the river gets is 3' which makes it chilly for people twice as tall. I recommend if your looking for a nice place relax with friends out of the weather.

Michaela Eide

Fun time, so packed. But what can you expect with a indoor water park. Really great happy hour at Sliders.

Rachel Burch

We had fun but the pools and walkways certainly could have been cleaner.

Bettie

The Grandkids love this place

April Vig

This place definitely has a different atmosphere depending on when you go. We like taking the kids early in spring and then towards the end of summer . The slides are all super fun our favorite is the toilet bowl. The kids really enjoy the smaller children's area too.

L M

Was there for New Years, got a great deal. Met some nice people our 8 year old had a blast. Super warm, lots of chlorine but it was probably needed with the busy weekend. There was plenty of supervision/ lifeguards and having a bar was amazing

Joshua Thomas

The water park was nice, however very small and felt cramped being in the area.

Jena Slinde

We are locals and frequent this park. The park is fun for my kids but the hot tub is always quite dirty. Doesn't seem like they clean it enough with the amount of people that come and go. Food selections are a bit limited and over priced. But there's limited things to do with kids so we continue to come here.

Matthew S

Tons of fun for all age groups. There's a little kids water playhouse, lazy river, hot tubs and advanced water slides. Safe too, lifeguards everywhere and the water is heated! It is a little pricey so recommend making a day of it.

Andy Smith

Watiki was an excellent value and my sons really enjoyed themselves here. I also enjoyed it. The drinks were good and there was plenty to keep my sons busy for several hours. Well worth time and money spent! My one suggestion for improvement to Watiki would be to have a hot tub that allowed only adults. There were times that the hot tub was packed with kids and teens and it would have been nice to be able to sit with my husband and peacefully sip our drinks. This waterpark still merits 5 stars as I truly have no regrets about our visit.

What a FUN place! All ages can enjoy! Arcade and food bar make for an all day fun-venture! We rented a locker which was reasonably priced and could access as many times needed (perfect for our large group) and there was an area to utilize life jackets- (a literal lifesaver with my 2year old!) While my older kids ran to the big slides and log obstacles, my little man and I went to the park side- he was going down the slides himself! He had an absolute blast. It's been over a month and they are all still talking about watiki. I can't recommend this place high enough. It was clean, friendly staff, affordable all day fun. Put this on your list of things to do!

Colten Smith

Very fun just hurts your feet after awhile

Josh Buddle

Slides were fun, the prices were not. Expect a lot of people there for how small the space really is. Lockers cost a lot and showers did not stay a consistent temperature. Possibly too much chlorine in the water too as both me and my girlfriend suffered chlorine burns after spending time there

Jason Cautrell

Lots of fun, however, not much storage, and it is expensive to use. Also not a lot of seating places. Not kept very clean either. If you have germaphobia, you might want to bring anxiety medicine. Wish they offered hourly rates so it wouldn't cost so much either.

Tina Kelly

Way too expensive. Way overrated. Super crowded. People run you over in the pool and just over all not that great

Paige Wagner

This is one of my favorite places to go swimming. I love it so much and their slides are so fun. Their prices are expensive so if you have a coupon that would be a good decision. Just to make it cheaper. For kids and teenagers this is a good place to invite friends and hang out. This place is on the top of my list if I ever get the chance to go swimming. Their hotel is very nice too. I haven't stayed there in years but from what I remember it is very nice and a great place to stay if you're from out of town.

Sara s

My kids got hurt here twice. I told the manager in shift to have her do nothing. They had 4 sometimes 5 kids going down at the same time then mothers flying down wiping them out on the little kids slides. They need a watch at each slide.

Ralph Kruse

I am sure my grandkids had a ball! For Grandma and Grandpa it was crazy expensive!

Thomas Kidd

Great place to kill a day, especially when the weather gets bad. Family had a great time!

Fun water park for winter or summer.

Brittney Perez

Waterpark was fun, very kid friendly. Can hold birthday parties there. Their arcade was small, but the tokens that are loaded onto the cards let you play quite a few rounds on the games that are available. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Jamie R

This WAS a fun place to go. My husband and daughter went on the red and blue slide/tornado slide and when they entered the water, my husband hit his head extremely hard on the bottom of the pool and was monitored for a concussion. We have recently learned that one of his coworkers went with his wife and she also hit her head on the bottom of the pool, resulting in amnesia. Please exercise caution.

JustBreathe

Nowhere on their website when we planned the trip to come for our spring break did we get any mention they would be closed. They need to communicate to the public better than they have. Horrible April Fool's joke that ended up not being a joke. Talk about Clark W. Griswold arriving to Wally World. Not happy.

Kristie Wheeler

One worker was truly amazing with his towel cape and interacting with his kids. I hope the rest of the staff was having an off day because not the typical interactions I see. Thank you to the bar manager to listening to something that happened with care and no won't post what happened and truly hope that won't ever happen again to anyone else because it was not acceptable at all. That employee needed to go bye-bye.

Michael Campbell

If you want to swim in E. coli infested waters this place is for you. My wife and I wanted to enjoy a relaxing dip in a hot tub after a wonderful day traveling in the Black Hills, but when we saw several mothers with their diaper clad infants in the hot tub we could only imagine the bacteria floating around.

MNP Construction & Consultants

Great place to visit if you vacation here. Had a great time with the family.

Aurora Ziebro

It’s awsome we go there every year do not have Doubts

Justin McAllister

Fun place at very reasonable price!!

Scott Viola

Fun place for kids and adults. Servers were very attentive to our needs. Website and calendar hyperlink did not agree on price of admission "during the off season" but management gave us a refund.

Red Rhoden

It's fun enough the first couple times you go... but the kind of people and their kids that go here now are kinda gross. I don't want to touch that water anymore...

Kielyn Aker

Me and my family go to Wa Tiki all the time. We love it there.

Shayla Smejkal

A little expensive for hotel guests who already paid for a room. I think $5 per adult would be more reasonable. The water is also way too cold. We couldn't get comfortable enough in the "lazy river" because of the temperature. We ended up spending most of the time in the hot tub trying to keep warm.

Brandi Snow-Fly

Lovely place to swim. Kinda gets super crowed.

Nick Bennett

Heated water, fun slides, short lines, we had a blast! They did have to close the indoor water park for awhile because there was lightning but, what are you going to do?

Angel Gill

Very fun however, there is too much chlorine

Ellen Plaggemeyer

Went for my daughters birthday with her friends. Not to expensive, great atmosphere!

Jordan Steel

So fun! The tube slides are a blast

Lacy Twiss

Awesome place for the kids. I personally don't like the food they serve. But that's my opinion

Josh Bacon

Staff wasn't the nicest. But it was clean and the kids loved the slides

Travis Pitts

The place was clean and well maintained. Water is warm enough to swim comfortably in the winter. I was impressed with the 3 main slides. It's no Atlantis, but for what it's is.. It's a great time, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Towels were clean and food was decent.

tyler cruse

Very fun place!! Exelent family hotel and water park!

Tyler Bryson

Awesome water park and arcade.

Dee T

We visited here while on vacation. My son had a great time going down the water slides. The lazy river was nice, could of been a little bigger. In the arcade upstairs, it would be nice to have some chairs so parents can sit while their kids play on the games. We would visit again.

Roseanna Flad

Took the kids for the weekend. They had a blast. A bit spendy but worth it for the great time the kids had

Chandelle Brink

A great indoor waterpark for all year around. Winter is my favorite time to come here. :)

Ariel Green

Awesome time for kids and adults!

Rage Strong

Had fun. Was crowded though.

Angela Pruitt

Where it's always 83 degree, my grandkids Loved this water park!

Cassie Harrison

2/9/2019 NEVER WILL WE COME HERE AGAIN DISGUSTING!!! AND THE LAQUINTA HOTEL WAS WORSE, fights in the water park, no security. LITERALLY fist fights in the water park.

Layne Reynolds

Terrible service, terrible prices, terrible rooms. Good luck if you stay here.

Melissa Vergil

So much fun for kids and adults!

Mariah Rose

Really fun! Not a lot of slides but there super fun! Lazy river is amazing! Great pizza too
