This Park corresponds to the category of Water park.
This is our "family" water park. The focus here is on little swimmers and families swimming together. No "big" slides here. The environment is relaxed and family oriented. If you are visiting for the first time don't be surprised by the greater county park's entry fee. I think it's $2 per adult? Although no outside food or drink can be brought in to the water park it can be brought into the county park and there are picnic tables right next to the water park entrance and lots of picnic areas in the park. Reentry is free. Just get your hand stamp. The snack bar food is simple, suprisingly good, and affordable. Lifeguards are on point, patrol regular routes, and are very friendly. This means your kids are safer. While you are there check out all the county park has to offer.
Great place to go. Went there with the family last summer, prices are good. Went on a Tuesday got a two for one deal which was fantastic because there was quite a few of us. We were there all day kids enjoy themselves. It was clean, staff were friendly. Only thing we had a bit of trouble finding the location. To me parking space is limited. We got there about 5 minutes past 10 and there was no parking available, we had to go back down the road, park and then walk back. It was about a five minute walk. But once inside we had so much fun we didn't mind the walk.
My grandsons fm NH look forward to it every Summer! The county continues to improve it each year, especially the staff, food, facilities and new "package" tickets thru COSTCO. We were disappointed, because didn't read it carefully, we couldn't use the meal tickets at James Island location. Suggest you consider including that location next season. Great experience every year-great county park investment ! We thank your wisdom & continued focus. Also the wonderful Holiday experiences
I once had gotten stuck in the lazy river and I went to the middle of it and I was stuck since I couldn’t reach the water floor and all the life guard said was “get off” little did she know I couldn’t but luckily my cousin came to get me, apart from that i thought the place was pretty neat and the water slides terrified me I thought if I couldn’t reach the bottom of the water floor I would drown.some things aren’t meant for kids.coming from a kid personally too.
It's a small water park but we had s good time. Perfect for small children
Had a blast. I'm 51 and I felt like I was 10 again. Loved the lazy river and ther big bucket of water!!
Seriously, don't waste your time. They do no accommodate big crowd . Whirling waters is better.
Great lots of fun

Medium size water park. My three year old had a blast in the kids area. The bathrooms in other hand where dirty. They need someone to clean them more often. To much water and trash in the floor.
The kids area is closed
Great place
Only 4 rides. Pathetic. Waste of money. Tickets were $18.95 with $2.00 off coupon. Besides that the rides were decent and the lines were short. Infant friendly. Just too small for the money.
Great
My family and I had an amazing time. I especially love the many safety water guards on the childrens water playground supervising the slides so kids remain safe.
Our family covers a wide age range and this park offers something for everyone.
Welcome water fun to beat the heat. The only way this place could be better is with a larger "general" pool. Entry price may be difficult for some but the Splash Pass pays for itself in 5 visits.
Looks amazing
Can't wait to come again! Good family fun!
Excellent place with younger kids. You can see the entore park from almost anywhere.
Great for parents and kids
Fun place to have a birthday partys
Very well done! Great waterpark for the area. Need to offer maybe 1more big attraction/slid for teens and adults. But everyone really enjoyed the visit. We got rained out but it was still worth every penny, look forward to more. Will definitely go back! A++++
This water park is awesome not too big but is enough to entertain the kids. The price was right and the lazy river is a favorite for us. If u have never been here before or visiting and trying to find a way to cool down, I would definitely recommend this park. The kids played all day and we went to the picnic area and had lunch.. Awesome

Had a lot of fun with my kids! Love the new addition. The lines weren't long to wait in and even me (a parent thought the slides were super fast and fun to ride)
We actually did not go in to the water park because when we arrived they were only going to be open an hour and a half and they were going to charge us the full price. we had 4 very disappointed children but we were not going to pay $80 for such a short time.
This is a great water park for people with children of mixed ages. Its not so big that I worry about my 9 year old & a friend doing rides alone and they actually enjoy the rides (instead of feeling like they are too babyish.) My younger 2 can happily play as well.

Best place ever
Good fun
Wonderful place to take the whole family
Small water park but still great for a hot day!
We really enjoy this water park. It is small but there is still enough for us all to have a good time. The lifeguards mostly seem to be young. They add to the enjoyment. They are always smiling and eager to help. Nice outing for the family
Loved this place. Lifeguards everywhere watching the kids. New slide is definitely a plus just wish there were more double intertubes.
Awesome I took my wife and one year old and my one year old had a blast and so did we!
Could be fun. Website said June 2nd for new area so disappointed today when it was not open. The lifeguard situation is very unusual... Lots of them and they are constantly moving. I get the point but hire more if they need to move that much? It was distracting from the enjoyment. A lot of in and out back and forth movements. Kind of felt like I was in a play pen. Once again, I get the point, but overkill in my mind.
Excellent! Took the family on a mini vacation/ reunion! Kids had a great time and the water slides are great s
Kids love it
Great family fun, reasonable pricing. Snack Bar needs to up it's quality a little.
I LOVE IT!!
Drove 79 kids to Be told water main broke they were close. Had same problem week before. Really?
Lots of fun and small enough you don't worry about the older kids. Go on Tuesdays half price are after 3 everyday. Nice place for the whole family. All my grands look forward to going every summer when they visit. We pack a picnic lunch and stay the whole day. Are you can buy their food.
Great place for kids
Lots of fun in the sun.!
It was nice.. Could have more places for shade.
Nice but we lost 2hours cause of a storm 30 miles away
Great place to be when its hot
Fun place for the family with good sack food.
it's a good size park. 2 huge slides for over 42'. 6 slides in kiddie pool ( 2 of which are for under 42') nice big pool, lazy river. plenty if chairs, good food options at food court. the on ly downside , food court shuts down 1 hour before the park does, and it is not announced. pleasant stuff, reasonable weather policy

excellent park, but needs longer hours in the summer. its still very hot at 6pm!
Wet and not overly crowded.
Great place to take younger kids, they have to be 42" to ride with adult on bigger rides, 48" to ride alone. There is a lazy river, 2 bigger slides, a splash zone, and a swing pool. Great introduction to water slides for my daughter.
Not good, children run the park dressed in lifeguard outfits. Also, they give discounts to welfare people so around 2pm each day, when "those people" get up, the place is over-run and becomes dangerous. We overheard one of their group laughing because they had brought a gun to a waterpark! Avoid this place. Imagine how much pee is in that pool!
Great for kids, easy to watch children. There are special discount days, and it's cheaper after 3.
It was nice. Very nice for smaller children (0-10). The food not worth the price, but overall. It was nice, my family and I enjoyed it.
A lot of fun for all ages
Best of the three water parks in the area for families with small children. All of the attractions are situated close together, and they have a nice pool (not a wave pool) for floating, swimming, or just jumping in!
It is awesome best water park workout I have ever been to WOOHOO!!
Great day and great fun!
Reasonably priced. good for younger children
The measure for the slides is skewed. BEWARE IF YOUR KID IS ON THE CUSP. My son is tall enough but they "handmade" these and although he was tall enough for one slide he was not fit the other one and when they switched up staff they denied him entry. Plus everything is broken. Just go to Myrtle beach folks. I'm
Great for smaller kids, I'd say 10 and under. Older kids might get bored, but my 8yo and 6yo love it. Great price, too.
It would be nice if you didn't have a pool available in your housing complex. There is a shallow pool, a lazy river, a couple of slides, and a tree house splash area. The tree house was shut down during our visit. There are plenty of chairs and large umbrellas. There was a snack bar, but we did not purchase anything. The park complex is very nice with lots of other things to do.

Too crowded. Wall to wall people in the pool. Children are bussed in. Definitely not a place for older adults. Lounge chairs could use a good scrubbing. A baby pool and a separate lap pool for adults only would make it user friendly for everyone. My first and last visit.
I have a 1 year old daughter that loves the baby slides!
Great water experience when it's over 100 degrees! Concessions are good too!
Love the new play area and slides
Love the Lazy River and Waterslide Playground!
Great size, not as big as Whirling Waters, I don't have go worry about my 8 year old being too far out of my sight...lots of vigilant lifeguards. Drinks and snacks are expensive, but reentry is allowed so you can pack a cooler and eat at your car. My kids love it. For a family of 6 it costs us around $60.

Very clean. Great place for the family. The staff is very friendly. The kids and I had a blast!
Best dog park ever and beautiful walking trails
My three kids, ages 6, 7 and 9 had a great time here. They played the whole day.
The rainforest side is very fun for little ones
Fun time for all ages.
We were there last weekend. Great value. Reasonably priced. My daughter and niece had a wonderful time. Great for young kiddos. We will definitely be back!
The boys loved it. The park area is beautiful & pricing was very affordable.
Great place for the kids. Prices are fantastic even the food and snacks are reasonably priced. This place is geared for kids of all ages. They even have life jackets are fitted by the workers to fit correctly and they do not charge for the use of them. Kids beg to go when we are in the area.
I'm very upset with Splash Zone!!! Yesterday my Daughter that is 2 and her grandmother went to the new Splash Zone for kids that just reopened. We waited all summer for the new kids Zone to open.. yesterday my daughter was finally excited the fence was down and she could finally play... She left disappointed she was told no she couldnt go on the slide that she had to be 36 inches tall before she could go down. Why build something for kids but not for toddlers to have anything to do. They go everyday to Splash Zone and yesterday was just the biggest disappointment to my daughter and mother-in-law.
Great for kids
The kids love this place. We don't live in Charleston, but when we visit my parents, we always take the kids here during the summer. It's always well staffed and safe. There are a variety of water attractions for the whole family. Price of tickets are reasonable and a good alternative to brand name water parks. Splash Zone Waterpark is run by Charleston Parks and Rec. They have eateries and a gift shop. You just can't bring your own food and drinks into the water park. There is a small picnic area right outside the gate where most families gather for lunch. You can also rent a picnic area inside the water park for special occasions.
Love love!
Kids loved it.
Beautiful
The tubes are fun. They have lots of floats. The staff was attentive.
Great fun for the whole family! My kids (ages 15, 11, and 9) all had a blast. The park was big but not too big that I worried about them running around together. There were plenty of lifeguards, and each of them seemed to be really intent on watching their areas. There was plenty of seating. However, a lot of people chose to leave towels, hats, or bags in empty seats to reserve their chairs while they were in the water and this took up a lot of open seats. The lockers (deposit required) can hold one large full bag and a hat and shoes, but you'll need to purchase more than one locker for two bags. Next time, I plan to take just one bag and keep it with me to avoid locker charges. Keep in mind that you can't bring your own food and drinks in unless it's a water bottle, but you can go back to your car to eat, then re-enter with a hand stamp. The bathrooms and showers are small but otherwise well kept. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely return!
This is a fun little waterpark to bring your kids. This one is geared towards the younger children while Whirlin Waters has rides for kids and adults.
It was relaxing
My 6yr old and I had a great time! Perfect for his age. Definitely geared towards his age. Only two large slide, the open one was fine for us the closed goes much faster. There is a section (I think they call it rainforest) that has varying sizes of small slides for the smaller kids and the larger of these was perfect for my child. There is very shallow water in this section. I saw someone post a review that their 2yr old went with grandma and was told they had to be 36” to slide... I’m so sorry you had a negative experience but it was a misunderstanding. There are slides and a whole section for little ones. Only two big slides require 36” to ride with adult, over 48” on your own is fine. Definitely a great place for wee ones though. I can’t empathize that enough.
Very excited and enjoyable
This is one of my Favorite Water parks there is so much to do I love to do everything there I'm only giving it 4 Beacuse one time I was on a water slide and I went forward and on a turn I went backwards and bumped my head but anyway this is the best water park around where I LIVE
Great price... great place for the wjole family
Its really pretty.I love to be with my family. And this year we might go again because i love this place
I loved the previous rainforest area for my children, 1 and 4. We were so excited to visit the new rainforest but my 4 year old wouldn’t even enter since the water sprays and dumps everywhere on you. My younger wasn’t tall enough for any of the slides, even though she could go previously. I did not enjoy being pelted with water from every direction either. I felt sorry for the lifeguards that had to wear fouls weather gear for hours. Can you turn the water off in some places? We won’t go back.
My favorite place to be! Great for kids as well.
Love this place. Great staff really nice crowd
Called to make reservations for my son birthday... They are charging $37 night for PRIMITIVE (no electricity/no water) tent sites! That only includes entrance in the gate and a place to set up your tent. You can get a cheap hotel with bathroom and full electricy almost for that cost. too pricey!!
Great water park, especially if you need a break from the beach with little ones.
Family day
My favorite waterpark for field trips. Just the right size, plenty of fun and great price on 2-for-Tuesdays.
My 3 grandsons love it! They didn't want to leave.
Had a great time with our kids tonight!
Very fun, great waterpark!
Wonderful especially on tropical Thursdays
The tubes are fun. They have lots of floats. The staff was attentive.
It's aight
I loved it is so fun for kids to have fun and play
Great

Inexpensive and great family fun!
So much fun! No coolers allowed, but snack bar has good food at reasonable prices. Lots of shady spots in and out of the water. Go early, it gets crowded in the afternoon.
It's great for us and our 5yrold, not as great for under 2... I wish they stayed open during the week longer than mid august
Went for my niece's birthday party we had a good time
Fun
