You will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people like you who are using the services and products of North Charleston Wannamaker County Park (Park) around South Carolina area.
At this moment the firm gets a score of 4.6 out of 5 and the rating has been based on 2090 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is basically the best one, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we can say that the score is very credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is classified in the category of Park.
Our family has kids that go to a summer program here. The kids love going and using The summertime program here. The kids absolutely love to Camp counselors. From my understanding they have a dog park kayak launch launch site and multiple fishing areas. A water park and a tower.
Beautiful local park. Only cost $2 to enter and had plenty of parking(for off season) and has a good few miles of trails. Great place for nature lovers!
Lots of fun. Many things to do for kids of all ages
My Grandsons had a Blast and will want to go each time they come and visit us from VA.
I love the kids play area and so does my daughter. I love that the bike trails and play areas are shaded, especially on hot days.
Beautiful park with a water park inside for the kids i will diffinetly will be back to visit
Nice park. Something for everyone to do, including pets
Very good but need to warn when waves bout to happen
Nice sprinkler for young kids. The playground has plenty of shade. The paddle boats are inexpensive and fun, but they need a little maintenance, they can be a little hard to peddle.
My grandchildren and I go at least four times after year. And I always go after 3 during the weekdays the staff is friendly telling us how much time we have to spend on a ride splashing good time
Excellent way to spend the day! There's a dog park, sprinklers for the kids to play in, bike rentals paddle boat rentals, walking trails, to playgrounds and more than I can even remember. I can spend the whole day here for just $2 at the gate or you can buy a park past on the Charleston county Parks and recreation website. $20 park pass for a year, it's so worth the money.
Beautiful venue, use it for parties, weddings. As a meeting space the wifi was limited and not adequate for us, but for other uses it is a lovely spot.
Great place to have birthday party and cook out plus play with water
Great parks!! Nicely kept. Free sprinkler area for summer! Water parks at 3 of the parks for extra cost. Fish, bike, jog, picnic, Paddle boat rentals, have birthday parties, etc. You name it, there is a place and for it!
We love going there with our kiddos. There are two playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for older kids. During spring and summer there's a sprinkler area that's great for kids to run around and get wet. There's a dog park and several walking trails and it's all clean and well kept.
I love Wannamaker Park. So much to do. Always come with the family for events, birthday parties. Kids love the sprinklers and playground area. Plenty of fields to play soccer or football. Plenty of shelters of all different sizes. Dog park available.
We always have such a good time with our friends and playing at the park. I can't wait to actually hangout with our water park buddies and to be able to play in the splash part of it.
Worth the drive from Johns Island and there's even a hill there (in the low country)! Paved walking paths for miles, ample open fields, forests to wear you out. Huge toddler appropriate playground* Large parking areas! Hit dogs and hamburgers at snack bar (overpriced, but great relief in a pinch). Plenty of restaurants near entrance to Wanamaker County Park!
We had a great time at the waterpark, everyone enjoyed themselves
My family and I went for special needs night and it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Every single worker that was there during our visit made a huge impact! Everybody was patient, kind and did everything they could to make every single person comfortable and happy! Thank you for having nights like this!
Took my nephews and two of their friends and we had a great day .
My kids come every week! Wonderful place to burn off energy!
Nice trails with not a lot of people. You can also rent boats to go out on the water.
I don't know who designed this place, but next time think closer bathrooms that are more convenient. I am handicapped, and usually check ahead but I didn't this time for which I paid the cost. If you know what I mean. Each of those camp areas could use a bathroom
We went on the paddle boats. It was the best time. There was a wait on someone to help us because it was during the week and very casual instruction.

Hiking, fishing, family fun, picnics and a giant hill. With over 2.5 miles of paved trails and an additional 2.5 miles of dirt trails all connected, you can find a hike to match most skill levels. 2 Play areas for different aged children and a giant hill to climb and slide on. 9-hole disk golf course (18 holes on the way). Fishing allowed on site, and plenty of rental gear: paddle-boats, bikes, disk golf. Open fields for picnics and festivals, a sprinkler pad, and plenty of picnic tables and grills. An attached water park (extra fee) make Wannamaker County Park a great place to visit!
A nice place for any family. You forget how close you are from being away from nature
Nice bicycle trails,great day off
Fun atmosphere. A lot of fun for the whole family. The sprinklers are great for the kids and the fact that you can grill ot there is pretty awesome too!
Love this place but the older kids who go to the slash pad can be crazy and rude. I wish they had a different spot for infants.
Great water park! Kids really enjoyed it.
I come here often. Fun place tho i think there should be more security here as sometimes kids are left unattended and can cause problems with other kids and no parents or any security/staff to complain to. (Tho this is rare). I think the bathrooms could be better and they should have better vending machines. I would recommend coming here for a birthday or picnic etc...
Love this park, huge playground, covered pavilions, sprinklers for the kids, wide open grassy areas, paddle boats, bicycles for rent, lots to do.
Great place to chill with children.. Excellent family place..
Beautiful park with lots of trails and a very fun, but challenging frisbee golf course. The dog park is well kept and very clean. Lots of fun for a family outing or just to walk in peace and quiet. Very well kept park.
Nice setup, good seating for large events!
Great place to unwind. Rented a bike and cruised the trails for an hour. Not so much traffic on a Sunday morning.
Fun water park for children of all ages! Bigger waterslides for adults, too! Love the lazy river! Facility seemed clean and food was inexpensive!
Love this park and miss it now that we live further out. I would like to see another playground on the other side of the park. I like the splash pad and all the picnic tables.
Beautiful park with lots of trails and a very fun, but challenging frisbee golf course. The dog park is well kept and very clean. Lots of fun for a family outing or just to walk in peace and quiet. Very well kept park.
A great place to practice some skills or just have fun.
Need more refreshment area the lines were long. Well kept and clean
It's sooooo fun u need 2 go there
The park was very nice plenty of space for kids to run and play we had the best family reunions cool out there
I absolutely love how family oriented the environment of this park is. Definitely one of our families favorites.
I've been coming here since I was a kid and it hasn't changed except for the big slide that used to be on the hill. The food area is WAY too expensive for what it is though. However, most people usually bring their own food so it's not that big of a deal. The trails are nice and there is plenty of room for the kids to run free.
The admission fee to this amazing park is very reasonable especially when one considers all the amenities - beautiful walking trails, plentiful picnic shelters, a huge dog park with separate areas for large breed and small breed dogs! There is also a waterpark, the entrance to which is just before the park so you don't have to pay double fees if you solely want to enjoy the waterpark for the day. Have fun!
Great for recreation nic trail.
I love the paddle boating and the bike riding that they had and a party tabel
It's a nice big place. The price is 2 dollars PER PERSON not per car which is really not something I'm accustomed to paying to sit on a picnic table in a field. It's got a few shelters and trails. Nice wooded area. But. I'm used to my public, country parks being, well, free. I've visited state parks for less.
Great park for bike riding and picnics. Very kid friendly.
Had an excellent time, beautiful park and alot to do for the kids. Definitely going back soon
Beautiful Trails to walk with your honey and pup
It's a nice place for summer family events
We love coming here for the dog park! It is super big with lots of people for our dog to play with. The hiking trails are pretty good too.maybe need a few more blazes but are still nice!
Nice place to take your family or friends. I went to the water park side. From what I understand there's another part of the park with other activities.
Very nice park. Water park area can get crowded, it helps to show up early. Great playground
Lovely park with great picnic areas. The Magnolia shelter is covered and has a kitchen attached with a sink and refrigerator. The rental fees are very reasonable. It overlooks the water where paddle boats are available to rent. The water park is awesome according to those who enjoy it. It is huge with areas for the smaller ones. Great fun for the whole family, even if you are just observing everybody else having fun!
Love this park I really do the kids have a blast the dog has a blast however it seems that everywhere we went someone was smoking .
Great for walks and cycling. Playground is nice but in wooded area. Entrance prices per person went up, so I do not visit as often because of this.
It's a nice place but they let aggressive dogs hang out in the dog park. Several dogs got attacked and we had to spam their phone and eventually go up to the office before they would even take a look, and they wouldn't make the lady with the aggressive dog leave.
One of our favorite places. Check out the waterpark. Great for tweens and teens. Lots of shade.
Update: over 2 hours in this parking lot! Come on! 1) the alert online is not updated 2) to help with the incredibly stupid traffic jam, why not open a concession stand with a shelter top out in the parking lot so people can hang out till traffic clears. Yall should be able to make up $$ in those concessions. Just move your employees and food on a cart over to a temporary limited items. Just sitting in a congested parking lot with kids is stupid!
Pretty and a great time with family love the trails
Had a great time with my 7 year old in the water park. Wonderful place for kids to just enjoy the water and meet new friends.
The walk down the trails we're awesome. The trails are completely shaded from the sun. It was so nice to be able to escape the summer sun and get 5 miles of walking in. I will come back more day's to enjoy the the natural beauty.
Over an hour to get out of this park! If it rains, it closes and makes the entire park of people leave at the same time with no evacuation plan out of the parking lot!!! We had to call the police to get them to get the cars out. What kind of an evacuation plan is that? We had fun in the park, but won't be back, since it is such a dangerous plan, if it rains, and when doesn't it rain in S.C.?
Have nice playground for kids of all ages to come and play, big hill for kids to play on, bike trails, bathroom, sprinklers for hot months. Overall enjoy coming here, just a bummer the price went up from $1 a person to $2 dollars a person. With a big family it makes a difference.
New Slides were so fine although the tubes are really heavy to carry....
Went to walk about 9:00, not crowded, 71 degrees with a breeze...heaven!
I love this place. The hubby and I walk the trails and play Pokemon Go. It's a great park for the whole family. Wannamaker has grills and shelters available as well as a playground, a sprinkler fountain and a water park.
Wonder splash fountain for children surrounded by plenty of picnic tables and grills. Great place for a family outing or part.
the most fun in our area for only $2 a person in my opinion
Wanamaker is always a great place to go with the kids. It's a friendly atmosphere and the service is always great . We go on paddle boats and even order some snacks like dip and dogs. I absolutely enjoy every aspect of this place.
Well maintained, lots of great areas for play and tons of walking/biking trails. Some are paved, some are not. Lengths vary. Plenty of picnic tables and shelters. Have to pay to get in. Don't forget the bug spray! Mosquitoes are pretty abundant!
I absolutely enjoy this park. The splash pad is wonderful for the younger kids. There is so much to do here including taking a little canoe ride. It's really a great fee family park. The bathrooms are also pretty clean. There is a $2 entrance fee for older kids and adults.
Wanamaker is always a great place to go with the kids. It's a friendly atmosphere and the service is always great . We go on paddle boats and even order some snacks like dip and dogs. I absolutely enjoy every aspect of this place.
Grandsons had their birthday party here. Great place to entertain small children and adults as well. We had a great time.
It's a fun place to take your children to play. It has soft river rock type pebbles so when they fall out of a swing or just trip as they run they just sink in, kind of like falling on a pillow.
So much to do here and the county keeps it very clean and running smoothly. Entrance fee is very cheap and to rent things is also cheap. We did the kayaking and the sprinkler. All that consumed 4 hours at the cost under $10. Cant be that. And we didnt even do the whole park. Definitely a lot more to do. If you're gonna be here often, definitely get the year pass.
This is the best playground I've locally found. The paved trails are nice too. The splash pad can get crazy in the summer, but it's a nice thing to have close by. All for only $2 for each person 3 and up.
Great experience! We got there late so we only had a picnic and played in the park but it was super clean staff were very helpful!
Was the for a family reunion. It has everything you need for all ages and it has a dog park and water park. I would recommend it to anyone
Love the park for my 2 yr old! There is a tot playground that is for smaller babies and then a "big kid" playground, along with a trail and a pond and a dog park! In the summer, the Splash Pad is a nice way to play in the water without being in the pool.. definitely feels safe!
Great park. Big playground. Refreshments, bathrooms, trails, boating, dog park, sprinkler included in admission during summer. Water park is additional fee. Free picnic area with grills available as well as shelters available for a fee and reservation.
Great park, lots of parking and best of all the kids playground is pretty much entirely in the shade. Pond has some paddle boat rentals and lots of jogging/walking trails. I do recommend some kind of mosquito repellent if you are going on the trails in the summer/not cold times. Some trails are paved and others gravel/dirt. They also have a hill, which is always fun when you live in a generally flat area. Kids enjoy running up and down it, and occasionally face planting on the way down when they run faster than they can go. They have two separate (only separated by a trail) playgrounds one for younger kids and one for older kids so you don't have to worry about your kid being run over by some teenager playing tag. They also have a great splash pad with water spraying up from the ground and falling down from the fountain etc. The splash pad water starts at 10am each day but I believe it's seasonal. So if you take your kids in the dead of winter then don't expect it to be running.
Pleasant for a walk. Appears event friendly in the summer. $2 entry fee per vehicle.
I've only been to the spray park, it had a really nice setup.
Beautiful park . The splash pad is fun and it can get super crowded and hectic on the weekends. Beware of snakes . It’s their territory it’s not their fault Being there but be vigilant. My two year son was about to jump on one when he jump off one of the playground toddler toys but my wife grabbed him in mid air (talk about mama bear skills) . turned out to be a baby copperhead snake
Wooded walking/biking paths, great playground for the kids plus a fun water fountain to cool off in. Clean, up-to-date shelters for large picnic gatherings, plenty of open space for playing ball, jump Castle rental etc. Clean bathroom facilities. And don't forget the Water Park. Great place for outdoor fun!
Love this park . Family friendly and great sight seeing.
Beautiful day at the park with lots of pups to run around with. Great park! We walked around the paved paths after my dog had some play time. Well maintained. $2 admission if you don't purchase a pass. Lots of activities.
Plenty of fun but $22 per person seems a little steep and there are no discounts for Charleston County residents (isn't this why we pay taxes) and military only receive discounts on Monday
So much to do here! The playground is pretty big and they have it split up into a 4 and under area and 5-12 area. They also have a nice dog park (fenced in with a water fountain and buckets for water) and a lot of people bring their dogs here.
This is an awesome park with restrooms, walking paths, bicycle rentals, snack bar and a splash water play area. Lots of places to picnic with grills. You see a lot of people having Birthday parties for kids here.
Great place for me and my dog to go
Love the sprinklers!! Beautiful big play area. Plus it is super clean. Got my gold pass while I was there, i didnt realize the all the perks. Annual membership- 70$(charleston county residents)this will be my family's go to spot this summer!
Kids loved the park and the splash pad. Only $2 per person. It was perfect.
Fun outdoor activities for all!! Great trails, playgrounds, dog park, and Whirling Waters! Great waterpark for all ages.
Life guards were hot so I had a blast
Nice shade areas. Great area for picnic's and outings..
It is kid friendly and they have really great crew members.
Love this place, ever since in was a little kid.
It's a pleasant place to spend some time in the woods, to breath some fresh air and to feel the smell of the forest. It's ideal for the dog walk or for a daily run. However the territory of the park is very tiny. U can literally make the whole perimeter of it within one hour. probably water park makes pretty much noise and hussle during the summer. (Luckily, it was closed when I visited it at March
Had a wonderful time it was fabulous I really enjoyed it!!
Great play area for kids! Wish they would have someone going around and picking up trash in picnic area though.
It was great for cook out and kids loved the fountain area in the middle of the picnic area.
This place IS the place to be for full on family fun....lots ta do plenty of shade for chillin when you're ready. You won't be disappointed
Great place we love to bring the kids very reasonable price.
Well maintained, lots of great areas for play and tons of walking/biking trails. Some are paved, some are not. Lengths vary. Plenty of picnic tables and shelters. Have to pay to get in. Don't forget the bug spray! Mosquitoes are pretty abundant!
Great park with a welcoming atmosphere and great trails. A wonderful playground for children who are able to wall all the way up to children about 8 or 10. Our daughter enjoyed just being outside on such a nice day. There is a big ole splash fountain for the kids and a waterpark in the physical Wannamaker park. Overall 5 out of 5 or a true 9/10 if you can dig that.
It's an awesome place to take your kids
To start off, I can to see the dog park. The small dog side doesn't have much at all, other than shade . Big dog side is very big, with a good sized cover to stay out of the sun. Went on some of the trails, they were nice. Just not sure why it's $2 per person, unless it's just to filter its customers. Westcott is way nicer and free.
The new slide is amazing and all the other slides are fun accept for the fact that the lines are like a mile long (that was exaggerating).
Very nice park. Great for family reunions and it has a water park.
Great place! We enjoyed the pedal boats, bike rental, splash pad and more! Well kept and well staffed, this park has a lot to offer.
Would give 5 stars but how do you charge for parking per person in a vehicle?
Nice place to cool off, plenty to do there, lots of fun for the whole family!
It’s a simple park with lots for the kids to do. Two playgrounds, water fountain play area and wide open fields. It’s has a great dog park for the fur babies. And some well maintained paved trails.
Love this park! Great paved trails for strollers. Terrific playgrounds. Plenty of picnic tables. The splashpad is awesome for the youngest crawlers all the way up to elementary age kids. Splashpad can get crowded and you have to watch out for the older kids. Beware if you're sitting on the wall you're likely to get splashed!
Great price for a local day of fun! The two new slides they added this year are awesome, the staff are very friendly every time we come.
The sprinkler pad is the best thing ever. My daughter had a blast! We ended up renting a paddle boat with my boyfriend but came back in because it started to rain. As we got out my car keys fell OUT of my pocket and INTO the lake thing and I was in tears. I am FOREVER grateful for the employees there and especially Josh B (I believe that was his name, everything is a bit of a blur) for retrieving my keys and keeping calm the entire time. Granted I’ll probably never go on the paddle boats again, we will DEFINITELY be returning again!
I love this park. So many activities to do. The dog park, the sprinklers, the playground, so much fun. Birthday parties are always a hit when we have them here. Plenty of room for the kids to play.
We had an absolute blast!! I wish we had one of these parks in TN. The adults and kids enjoyed lying in/ playing in the water and splash pad area. The kids had a big time playing in the neighboring park area. Not too crowded, reasonably priced and clean. No complaints. Would highly recommend.
Looks great! Dog park is big enough to throw ball with my Bella. Looks like there is going to be some fun in our future. $2 a person is not too bad.
My family and I have the most amazing time at the water park today. I highly recommend going for and all day get away. They have an amazing deal on Tuesdays. I had two children with me one 1 yr old and a 7 yr old. With there B1G1 deal I only paid 23 dollars. (1year old is free) You can't beat that for a full day of fun.
We came for a birthday party inside the park. Great area for the kids to run around and explore. They have a food vendor on site. There are paddle boats and kayaks available for rent as well as bicycles. All the areas are well maintained including the bath rooms. Great site for parties or exercise.
The kids and I love taking our puppy to the dog park
We had an absolute blast!! I wish we had one of these parks in TN. The adults and kids enjoyed lying in/ playing in the water and splash pad area. The kids had a big time playing in the neighboring park area. Not too crowded, reasonably priced and clean. No complaints. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful park that is so big, even in the middle of North Charleston, it's peaceful. Wannamaker has a little bit of everything, for everyone. Kids, adults and pets! :) Today was my very first visit to Wannamaker Park but I'll be back. Often! I'm very glad I live so close to such an oasis. :)
I think they need to clean the chairs and the lazy river needs to be cleaned out better but i do love the floats that are like a chair in the lazy river they really need more of them they are great for older people and pressure wash the other plastic chairs because they really need some help
Met a lot of nice dogs and their owners. But I feel that their dog park is very boring compared to James Island county park.
Really good deal for the price. The kids really like it
An excellent park with lots for kids to do. Just wish they'd replace the old picnic tables with something more durable. Many are collapsing.
Awesome water park! Tuesdays are the best day to go as it is 2 for 1 Tuesdays!
I went to a birthday party here, and the only problem I had was disabled park
Park is great but the dog park part is very small and gets muddy easily. If I were just rating the dog park it might one star. Otherwise the trails and playgrounds are top notch.
Fantastic! Everything was delicious with huge portions. Atmosphere was great.
Had a fantastic time at Wannamaker County Park. The rain held off, and the weather was nice and cool.
Park facilities are nice, water park is fun, the only thing that needs some help would be the dog park. As of Summer 2019 the dog park area gets a lot of standing water from the rain and turns this area into a mudfest. There is supposed to be a new dog park opening in end of 2019.
Love this park! Loads to offer everyone from young to old, dog park, water park, trails, biking and a splash pad great for kids.
There is something for everyone!!! Open year round!! One of my favorite places!!!
Looks great! Dog park is big enough to throw ball with my Bella. Looks like there is going to be some fun in our future. $2 a person is not too bad.
The Park and Waterpark was amazing I am 44 yrs. Old and still loved it. Whirling WaterPark has the most Awesome Pink n blue Slide. Can't wait to go again! Miss Very Pleased with the food as Well.
Very nice Park kids really did enjoy it we hope to visit again real soon if you want a picnic that's the place to go.
The trails a great, the playgrounds are clean, and the splash pad is a life saver. Employees are friendly and helpful!
We mostly use it for the dog park. While the park does need some mud management, it's still a fantastic space for dogs. It's HUGE, and the park has great trails. So many mulituse areas, and if you get a county park pass, you get all kinds of great perks too!
Well maintained. Excellent venue for group gatherings or any family functions.
I love that there is a water park this size locally. The 2 new slides are amazing and of course the rest of the park is a blast as well. Great family fun at a very reasonable price.
Love the story walk and super shaded play area!
Weekdays best. Less crowded. Water shoes are handy..concrete gets hot burns feet.
Looks beautiful out there, I went with the family, myself, my girl, and her 3 girls. We got there pre planned on it a month before. And not even a half hour later they removed us from the water due to weather, we waited cause they said we may be allowed back in. After and hour longer chatting with others we headed back home to greenvile. A little of a bust, but the whole park was beautiful.
Of course my kiddies loved as well I. The big downfall for me was that the bathroom could've been alot cleaner!!
Nice place to have a family function. Both bile and walking paths. Small pond to fish. Kayaks and paddle boats are available. Sprinkler for the kids to play under. Concession stand also
Very nice park! Plenty of spaces to do things and run around. Has bathrooms, water park, splash pad, dog parks, pier to fish at, lots of great running/walking/skating trails! I love coming here!
New water slides at the waterpark are such an excellent addition! Now if only they could add a raft lift so we dont have to carry the 4 person raft to the top of the stairs
Great place for the family to relax and have fun.
Very expensive park fees and food. I got a grilled cheese sandwich( one slice of bread was the heel). We were there for 5 hours, kids had a great time.
Memorial weekend. Came solo. Lots of families/groups. I had a great time.
Very nice park. Well kept up. Very nice staff.
Such a cute park! The splash pad closes at 6, so we didn’t get to use it, but the playground and walking trails are fun. Wasn’t too buggy.
I absolutely love taking my kids here! In the summer they can enjoy the splash pad, and in the fall and winter we enjoy the playground and the trails!
Awesome company event. Durham School Bus Services
A pretty decent park. The entrance fee is $2 . They have a dog park, trails to walk, a water park, a picnic area, a snack stand etc. We love it. It can get extremely crowded, especially during the weekends.
Great trail system along with large dog parks. It does cost money to go to this park. $2 per person unless you buy the gold pass.
We came for a birthday party inside the park. Great area for the kids to run around and explore. They have a food vendor on site. There are paddle boats and kayaks available for rent as well as bicycles. All the areas are well maintained including the bath rooms. Great site for parties or exercise.
