Our family had a great time. Tickets can be a bit pricey with larger families, possibly check for deals. The prices of the concessions inside the park were honestly very fair priced we thought. Lazy river is big, wave pool is nice, many options for slides...lines weren't that bad considering it was a weekday and summer time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this water park

this place is fun. but get there early if you want a chair with shade. And you want a place in the shade trust me. lockers are tricky. you need coins! no Bill's no cards coins!. food here is very expensive but you can leave. there are many fast food spots near by. just leave a towel and some stuff on your chairs and no one will touch me. that way you can leave eat much cheaper and come back to your chairs in the shade. the other thing is they will only allow one plastic bottle of water per person.

It was a nice place to go , we only got to enjoy a little time because they claimed it was about to RAIN SO THEY CLOSE ONE HOUR BEFORE. two hours later so far it has not rain at all. I just felt like they could of wait a little bit before they made a decision of closing with out any rain . We pay to go in and enjoy the hours they say it open . They close early to begin with. But beside that . I would of not have any complaints about Myrtle Waves Water Park. P.S I also didnt like that when we where walking to our car. One of the staff was Speeding in the parking lot and literally made a fast stop to avoid not running us over. To begin with it a family park not a speeding race , and to be a staff knowing this woman is there to watch our kids . Idk but didn't like that while I was walking with my 3 kids. They should talk to staff that even tho they clock out safety is still important for families in the parking lot to .

Very out dated and over priced for what they provide. Most of the slides need maintenance. Poorly trained & supervised lifeguards as well - at least 4 guards were eating sandwiches while they were supposed to be actively guarding the attractions. As one person began drowning, the lifeguard threw his tube at the individual and the rope broke. You are NEVER supposed to give your tube away (and this person was an active drowning victim). Very poorly training life saving staff. Would not recommend this waterpark.

Very unhappy with service. Got here at 3 for twilight pass. Bought a 9 follar locker that was broken. Wasted 30 mins finding someone to help with the locker. Then lightning strikes closed the park. Paid $75 and rode zero rides with my two kids. Disappointing experience. Check the weather and hope you get a working locker.

We have been loyal customers to this park for years. We take an annual vacation in Myrtle, and we always go to Myrtle Waves once or twice per trip. However, this year changed our mind. On July 3rd, we showed up at about 11am for a day at the park with our kids. The line for the first ride took about an hour. Then, we ate lunch. That's when a big thunderstorm hit and closed the park. The park handed out rain checks to everyone which could only be used from 3pm to 6pm THIS season. Unfortunately, that was the last day of our vacation. After calling the park and asking if they could grant a courtesy, and extend our "rain check" to next season, we were flatly told No. So here's why management needs a financial math lesson: $130 admission + $30 food X 2 visits per vacation = $260 revenue per year for our family. Cost to extend rain check to next season, to keep customer happy: $negligible Revenue missed over next 10 years due to unhappy family switching to another water park on their annual vacation: $2,600. Duh....

Loved it .... except... after awhile, your feet hurts really bad from walking so much in your bare feet!! But the tunnels are fun and the lazy river was pretty fun!!!

The reason it is 4 stars is because I will find nasty stuff in the lazy river, and all so the bottom of the fast river can cut your feet, but besides that the life guards are nice and fun but they still do there job, the service is good, so I highly recommend this place but if you come were water shoes.

I will say that this park is much cleaner than Wild, Water, and Wheels but I can not understand why these entertainment facilities that gross SO MUCH MONEY in MB never use it to fix up their facilities. In some areas the paint was chipping, benches were worn, and there was NO ventilation in the bathroom/changing area. I thought I would faint. There could at least be a ceiling fan or something. And the park is quite small. I went for the Thursday $10 special. I would not pay full price for either water park in MB. They have a lot of work to do.

We get annual passes here every year. The first year we came here the park was showing signs of wear and tear. Those signs are still there, but with vast improvements. They have repainted some things, the landscaping is nice. Last year they added pads onto the bottom of the water slides so when you hit you back/bottom on the floor you don't scrape it. My husband had previously scraped his back a few times, so this was a nice addition to the bottom of the slides. Love getting dip and dots here. It's very packed during June through August. The best time to come is actually later in the day because most people are already heading home for the day. Great place! The large waterslides you see from the road are terrifying! I won't ever go down them again, but if you're a thrill seeker than these are for you. They are pitch black dark tunnels with very steep drops. The kids areas are the best! Very very kid friendly.

Also there was an hour wait for a ride that was not even 30seconds but very easy to get stuck on as well as having to watch your legs on other rides to. Staff only corresponds to each other through cell phones which just looks unprofessional as well as some rides leaking profusely. We were there for barely an hour before they shut everything down over one rumble of thunder but no rain or lightning approaching yet. We wanted to get food but it was all ridiculously overpriced for what it’s worth. We ended up paying almost $14 for three pretzels. It wouldn’t have been as bad if you could bring in your own food if you wanted to but nope. I’d like to think they overprice everything else because their gift shop gets literally no business because there’s barely anything in there, none of which would make a nice souvenir because it was all generic, unbranded beach shirts, sun dresses, and sun glasses. Long story short there’s a lot better places to go in myrtle beach than this, we were having more fun with the pools and lazy rivers at the hotel we’re staying at. Save your money!

What a HUGE disappointment. Myrtle Waves made flyers and came and passed them out to EVERY buisness at Broadway. So all of my work is on their way here . I'm the first one, and then they tell me that it's only for J1 students?!?! Really. And that they didn't make the flyers...that's laughable. Nowhere on the flyers does it say its "just for J1s" And to make it even worse....some lady was walking up and down the line asking the J1s if they needed a second job. How tacky and disgusting. Looks like our new spot will be Wild Water and Wheels after coming here for YEARS.

Lazy rivers , kids swimming like a pool.....water not running very fast.....wave pool tubes in there with tiny kids ......my experience was so good at Emerald point waterpark....rules were good kiddies pool big enough for patents .Wave pool came about every 30 minutes,to long to wait ......lots of money for disorganized place

The pricing for what you got left much to be desired, but my rating was decided upon entirely by the fact that we did have fun, albeit for only a few hours. Overall, it was a nice way to cool off on a warm summer day.

Treat people with season passes like trash. Rides are very few making lines long. Getting food takes an hour. Whether theres a line or not. At least 1 1/2: wait to get in.. closes at 6 which is ridiculous considering it could stay open til 8 easily and sell more food for dinner.

They have slides to choose from but some were closed along with other things because they didn't have enough life guards. Thankfully it wasn't packed, had a free admission from hotel stay. Lockers are $9 & $12 and I got a funnel cake that I waited on for almost 10min to get it overcooked and hard as rock for $8. It was the end of the season, but going to emerald pointe next time.

Great way to cool off and people-watch. Not to mention the incredible slides and pools that are available. Don't miss the "toilet bowl" which takes you down a covered slide into a round reservoir and after circling several times in the bowl you shoot through the pipe at the bottom and to the pool. It's really hysterical and lots of fun. Love The lazy River, too. Nice way to relax and just float.

Pretty cool. Wave pool needs bigger more intense waves. Rocking Ray ride is Insanity! The big tube ride is really unsettling, pitch black and hard to breath when you are sliding down. Just have to pray you won't die lol.

Nice park and good improvements. Missing slot of innertubes then they use to have. Pavement burns your feet especially the black rubber padding for some the slides. The flooring needs desprste fix as it simply hurts to walk around the park.

DO NOT go to Myrtle Waves! Someone smashed the window out of my sister's car and stole her purse in the parking lot. Police and employee at park said it was the 2nd time this week (its Tuesday). The park has a sign to protect themselves against theft but clearly this happens often. Why wouldn't they have security patrol the parking lot, if it is a problem? The park is very expensive for them not to try to protect the patrons!

During our family beach vacation in July, we wanted to take a break from the beach in the middle of our week and have fun elsewhere. We decided to go to Myrtle Waves and it was such a good time! All of the kids had a blast on just about all of the water slides, as well as the adults. We arrived around 12:30pm and stayed until the park closed at 6pm. It is definitely worth the money. We will be back next year!

Since we went during off season some of the food stations were closed but there were still plenty others to choose from. Water slides could have had more tubes available but we managed. Could use a little updating but all in all it satisfied our needs. Couple large shelter areas with plenty of picnic tables to eat at. Smoking section for smokers.

And plan on spending a bunch more, especially if you eat, drink and get snacks there. It's all about the $$$! But the vibe is chill, the facility is good, clean and well kept with a decent selection of slides, tubes, tunnels and rivers and wave pools. And the younger kid area, (say 10 and under) is perfect for families with a huge water splash pad play ground type area, complete with water sprayers and splashers everywhere, and enough lounge chairs and area to spread out. Overall, while pricey, it's a great day escape and way to beat the heat and make some family memories.

They offer a smoking area if you smoke. It too is convenient! There are plenty of chairs and there is even a covered area with chairs. These are all free with park admission. The price to upgrade searing to a Cabana is a little ridiculous, so I'm glad there are plenty of spots. The price of admission is pretty average, and consessions are affordable.

Myrtle Waves is a ton of fun! The wave pool is my favorite and the lazy river is the perfect way to relax and cool off on a hot summer day. The Turbo Twisters water slides are super fast and exciting and generally have a moderate to short wait. They have plenty of tables and lounge chairs although to get the ones in the shade, you'll want to get there early. It's a great place to spend the day with the whole family if you prefer to skip the beach.

Its fun and clean and the employees are nice but it can be pricey. Unless you can get a coupon, deals or the yearly pass. Also try to get the refillable drink and popcorn bucket and bring it when you go. It saves you a lot of money.

I loved it. Only issue I had was nothing on them. My family tried to look for a public water park that was open before June, and they are. But it took us 2 1/2 hour to get to it. But everything was great. There was no parking fee, and we got tickets online so they were a little bit cheaper. The food was good price too, and starting soon they will have movie night Thursdays at the big wave pool. I want to go back again.

so this place was very cool, big and fun, but i dont particularly think they keep it very clean, and the people working the slides seem extremely lazy. the water park where i am from they make sure someone is always cleaning the pools, they are very keen on making sure the slides work and the water is at a good temperature, they dont just sit on the slides all lazy like. this park needs a pick me up and someone to really get these people to care about the slides, safety, and cleanliness

We love coming to Myrtle Waves, I've been coming for over 30 years. My biggest issue is the lack of tubes available in the lazy river and at snake mountain. Both could use updated and more plentiful tubes. As a parent, I enjoy relaxing on the river while my kids go ahead of me. The kids really like the Rockin Ray and Arooba Tooba.

You can find coupons online and at some of the welcome centers as its anlittle pricey for what is there. It's a fun place to go while at the beach if you don't want to conquer the ocean. It's small and quaint but offers a variety of slides.

It was pretty cool. However, there are a few things that would have made it even better. More tubes for sure, spent a lot of time waiting for them then we had to wait in line for the actual slide. They don't want you wearing water shoes on the slides so the cement that you walk on should be a little less painful. Also the black enclosed slide ripped my new bathing suit bottoms in 2. That sucked.

Very nice park, but the lifeguards either pay way TOO MUCH attention or way too little. My 2 year old wandered into a section she was not supposed to be in and I followed her before I realized, and when I got her out, there was a lifeguard right there that didn't even look back. Also, the cement gets WAY WAY too hot on a 90+ degree day. Wear flip flops.

I always put on my bathing attire at home,whenever possible,because the seats in the changing area are very low,and hard to reach,an get up from,and the changing lockers are so narrow, I could'nt move in them. It is about time for an overhaul.

The rides are fun but the lines can be a bit long and the pricing is insane. Even aside from the steep entrance fee, just renting a small locker is nine dollars and fifteen for a large, which is totally nuts. For the record, a large locker is nowhere near what you'd consider "large." And on top of all that, the girl who sold us our tickets was nice but that's where the customer service stopped. The lifeguards/ride attendants are either just rude or completely ignore you, using hand motions instead of words to illustrate when you should get on your ride. They seem completely indifferent to your existence, the vast majority not even making eye contact or giving a hello. As someone who runs an upscale business.focusing on high-level customer service, Myrtle Waves fails in that department on all fronts. I think next time I'm in Myrtle Beach, I'm going to pass for somewhere else.

The whole time we were there, we never saw a wave...NOT ONE! But they said one was coming every 30 minutes. We were there for hours. Never saw one wave in the pool. Lines are long too. Would prolly go to wild water and wheels if we had it to do over. It sounds better.

Not a lot of shade so pack lots of sunscreen. Place was packed, lines averaged 15-20 minutes. No outside food allowed, so longest line was for lunch at the cafe. Kids had a blast, rides were awesome, and price was reasonable.

My family loves Myrtle Waves. We go everytime we visit Myrtle Beach. My 3 year old loves the children's water area and the lazy river and goes back and forth between the 2 areas. The food is kind of expensive but tastes good.

The place is clean. The lines are short. The food is the typical variety you will find at every amusement part. It is a place that you can complete everything in about two hours. Its a nice family experience, and a good deal on groupon

The only slide I didn't like was the one where you didn't have a tube to go down because it scratched my back pretty good. And you really should bring sandals because the ground burns your feet. But other than that it was really fun.

Haven't been in awhile(few years), was looking forward to the trip. The wave pool did not have a count down like it used too and when we first got in we got no notice of when the waves would start. There were tons of Life guards that blew their whistle for every little thing, which was annoying. The even blew their whistle for being against the wall. They had a new ride that was a lot of fun but the life guards blew their whistle for ridding backwards when it wasn't your fault. The overall feeling was it was not as fun as it used to be.

Excellent spot to spend a day. Great slides and rivers. It would be great if there were designated spots at the ride entrances for flip flops and such. The wave pool is great, but could run more often.

If there were an option for 0 stars, that’s what they would have gotten from me. On vacation from Illinois and my son along with my niece had been waiting on this day all week. However, our trip to this aquatic park was cut short. We were heading into the lazy river, my niece walked in down the steps and my 8 year old (excited and burning his feet) went for the quick jump in entry. We get about 2 feet down and the lifeguard says to me “there’s being ignorant and then there’s as ignorant as jumping into 3 feet of water next to a ladder. “ Shocked, I looked around and pointed to my son who had also heard him and I said are you referring to my 8 year old?? He replied, “ Yes. Ignorant.” Okay mama’s, you know the feeling where you’re either about to claw someone’s eyes out or be a example setter and take the high road. We get out, my son upset & niece both upset, collect our belongings and head to the front. I asked someone to speak with a manager and long story short, the “Aquatic Manager” Logan cane around a few minutes later and I explained what happened, how disgusted I was and basically all I got was a sorrry, that’s not how we operate bla bla bla. Meanwhile, Logan never took his sunglasses off and to be honest, was all around unprofessional. & To no surprise, no refund. It took a Family member coming back to talk to Logan again that anything happened. Again, I’m not some mom who’s just complaining. I rarely ever complain. We’re not the type of people but I refuse to let some dweeb in a visor get away with making a CHILD so upset. If he broke a rule, fine, blow your whistle and address the issue but calling a CHILD ignorant is completely uncalled for. Aside from this encounter, almost anyone we talked to was just rude and genuinely annoyed with having to do their job. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Things are not as they used to be. Large blue slide and wave surfer ride was not operating. Not enough tubes at all. Waiting 20 mins in line.... just for tubes? I did see plenty flat ones laying around. Steps and pavement broken. Slides looking faded and worn out.

My son enjoyed the water rides and the lines moved fairly quickly. The food was not that great and cold. My biggest regret is purchasing a cabana. We purchased the king Cabana and was not impressed. The furniture inside the Cabana was outdated, old, and dirty. The cooler that was provided to keep drinks cold looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. They were all sorts of little creatures, namely lizards and bees, residing in this screened-in shanty. I feel as though I was robbed of my money for this Cabana.

Lots of fun for the entire family! Really fun water slides, a wave pool, and a park with smaller slides for the younger kids. Bring cash! Some of the vendors won't accept cards. Food is over-priced but you're paying for the convenience.

Rides are nice, not to crowded when I went there services is 50/50 some guys are friendly some care less.. But they saw some clouds miles away and stop all rides and got everyone out od the water. Told us to wait 30 min, then another 30, then 30 more min.. Til a bunch of guys complained and they finally closed. I understand there is not control with the weather but they kind of want to keep you waiting till you get tirer of it and you decide to leave in your own to avoid giving you rain checks or refound of any type.. I would say is more a family /kids friendly not for an adult that its being to sx flags or other major parks..

Where are the tubes?! I have visited Myrtle Waves twice now while awaiting the opening of the sister park, Wild, Water, and Wheels. On both occasions, I found myself waiting for tubes, whether for a slide or the lazy river. Frustrating! Neither time I visited have been even somewhat busy. What will happen when the place packs in?! I can assure you there won't be any lines, because everyone is waiting at the bottom of the slide for the next tube! I can only hope they are keeping a large stash of tubes packed away until the place starts to get busy, but I don't know.

I haven't been to a water park in years but this didn't make me want to go again tomorrow. My note is that is really understaffed. The food line was super long. They only head one cashier. My son and i were able to do two tube rides while my wife and daughter went and got food. Almost 40 minutes to get through the line. I had to go back through the line shortly after because the kids were still hungry, 25 minutes. They have signs up for the night flight that accepts doubles and singles. My son is 42" even and he's not quite ready, as he barely takes up the tube, to go buy himself. Got the double, got almost all the way to the top with the tube and come face to face to 2 other couple coming down the line backwards. We get told that this ride doesn't allow doubles. No one stopped us though. Cause there wasn't anyone, only 2 employees the entire line, one in the pool, one at top. Arooba Tooba was fun but it took forever to get through, 20 doubles in front of us when we joined the line and it took 45 minutes to get to the top. Same deal here but they had to call a manager over to sort the line into singles and doubles. I guess that helped but still, long wait on a ride that takes less than a minute to come down. The lazy River also had run out of tubes, I asked someone and they said they think they were stolen and taken to the wave pool. Ok if they aren't supposed to be in there, shouldn't the staff get them out? Now I know, you'll say, but it was super crowded, no it was a Tuesday and we stayed 11 to 330 and when we left the parking lot wasn't even half filled.
