You will see the information of people who have information of the services and products of Andrew Jackson State Park (Park) in South Carolina area.
Now this firm gets a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and the score was based on 483 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is practically the highest, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the assessment is quite accurate. If people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Park belongs to the category of State park.
Me and my girlfriend, and her kids went and had a great time. Lots of history to be seen and learned. Very knowledgeable park personnel, and a great time for everyone. Thanks.
The trails are nice, but there are not many real attractions that warrant the entrance fee. Wish it was cheaper. Or could they offer a yearly pass to those of us from NC. Seems that only SC residents get a fair price for yearly pass.
I have wanted to visit for years but never found the time. My fiance decided one day we were going. We loved the park and the sweet ladies at the visitors center.
Nice visit to camping area lake side
I really enjoyed the park it was small quaint and easy going. Perfect for a short walk a nice afternoon with the fanily or just the tranquility of the lake. I highly reccomend
A nice little nature spot.
Great place for a picnic
Always a nice place to go to just enjoy the breeze. There is a good trail too.
Awesome place...nice hideaway
Caught one fish in the lake. Trail around the lake is well maintained.
Great for Pokemon Gym battles and catching Pokemon. There's about 6 pokestops here.
Great place to take your family for a walk, beautiful nature trail and lake trail. Very scenic, all though it is a bit odd that there is a park with a statue dedicated to the man who started the forced migration of Native Americans off their own land, and started a genocide of those who refused to be bullied off their lands. But regardless, very nice trail and very scenic.
My visit was early spring. I enjoyed my walk through the park. Camp grounds were pretty busy. I can imagine this park would be a great local vacation destination.
This state park is awesome, lots to see
The campground has limited sites available, and they're rather close together. We stayed there for the solar eclipse, when they were full up, and the number of guests was still quite reasonable for the facilities. The restrooms /showers were adequately sized, surprisingly modern, and with the cooperation of the guests, stayed clean. All sites have water, and electricity (15, 30, and 50 amp). There are also macadam parking sites /RV pads, a sand and gravel level area with picnic table, fire ring, and post on which you can hang a lamp or lantern. What there may not be is a great spot to pitch a tent. The rangers were available when needed, and helpful. I would give it five stars except that there were tent sites we would not have found adequate, though we really lucked out, and got a fairly level site which just had room for our tent, and overlooked the lake. As we were there several days, we were relieved at our good fortune. We very much enjoyed our stay there!
Nice park, clean. Great for camping, canoeing and fishing. Decent amphitheater. Small Andrew Jackson museum but nice for kids to learn about our 7th president. Cost is $2.00 per person and seniors $1.25.
Beautiful park and history
Great prk for family and school trips
Paved sites! Some are a bit sloped. Watch for full hook up sites that may have sewer connections higher than your outlet.
Son chose this place for his wedding and it was absolutely wonderful!
Great place to camp
A hawk kept watching my dog.
Great camping areaa nbn d a Awesome place to fish.
Very nice park close to Charlotte. We went here to tent camp, but I must say that many of the sites are more appropriate for RVs. We reserved a site based on the limited number of photos, but when we arrived we were forced to pitch our tents in an uneven drainage swale that was covered with wet leaves. Sure enough it rained and tons of water was running right under out tent. Wish i would have known that. Other than that the park is very nice with plenty of families and kids enjoying the day.
Location is beautiful, nice museum, beautiful trees, a lake and two great trails to hike or run. Great for local day trip. However when it comes down to RVs parking at their campground, that's a totally different story. If you have a small trailer then you'll probably have no trouble staying here. We have a 30 FT long RV and it was pretty tough navigating through the campground as it has narrow road with lots of trees along the path. All sites are paved which is nice but most sites are on moderate to severe grades. Our coach was on a 6 degree downward slope, we were worried about fridge the entire duration of our stay as most forums don't recommend coaches being on slopes 6 degrees or over. Bathhouse was open, there were 2 shower stalls and 4 toilets in women's section. When we first arrived campground was pretty empty and restrooms were clean. By Sunday morning campground was completely full, by then the women's restroom was filthy. I saw lots of tent campers and I'm sure it is easy to camp here compared to RV'ers with large coaches. Park ranger Robert was very friendly and accommodating to our coach needs. I only wish campground itself was larger and sites alot more leveled.
I love this simple small place but hate to tell you how sweet it is! I want to keep it all to ourselves!
Nice well kept. Campground was tight but nice
Beautiful, well-maintained state park! Would like to see more picnic tables, in some out of the way shady spots. Usually not a problem, but we were there on a busy day. But a great state park!!!
Nice small park. Paved uneven spots. Check your awning for clearance before unhooking trees are very close to the asphalt.
Small park but very quiet and peaceful
Amazing Beautiful Gods creation
We visited today to plan for a wedding later in the spring. The park ranger in the office was extremely helpful. Between helping us plan for the setup and giving me great directions, she was able to answer all of our questions and was easy to chat with. Looking forward to working with her in future.
Best park for the family visit. Awesome lake. Lovely fishing and boating place. Around the lake nice walking trail. For peace of mind wonderful place. We can arrange family gathering, party, BBQ and nice entertaining playing place for childrens too.
Was a great park bath house was pretty good only fault we had the camp spots were not labeled very well could do some work on camp sites as far as cleaning them up some but will go again
Nice, quiet & friendly place to take a quick trail hike and fish with my dogs.
Had a family reunion here . Nice park but they need to restock the pond for fishing .
We camped here for a week. There is peace and quiet but easy access to Tina of stuff for kids to do like Carowinds and downtown Waxhaw. This is by far our favorite state park yet!
Nice place to enjoy fishing!
We didn't personally do much, but doesn't look like there's much to it.
Was a great place to have my sons Graduation Party ....thanks for the beautiful park, well maintained, clean restrooms and very friendly employees...
Website is missing a lot of information -- if you want to visit the museum during the week, you need to call ahead to see if it's open.
Beautiful location, plenty of boats for fishing, nice playground and camping area
very friendly staff and great museum of our 7th president's childhood home.
Awesome discussions with the staff about the history and Andrew Jackson. Very knowledgeable. The museum was excellent.
Beautiful park, enthusiastic and helpful staff. Lake area was well maintained and peaceful. Museum & schoolhouse were fantastic and full of information. Both exhibits kept my 9 year old engaged. Will definitely return
Nice park, not very from Charlotte. It has a lake, picnic areas and a small museum as well. The picnic shelters and benches could be maintained little better.
Wonderful place to hike with pets
Small but really nice camping sites. 2 short trails and a nice museum. Can rent canoes or boats.
I have been before. It is a nice park. There is a historic home to read about, trails and a pond you can walk
Love staying here friendly people great prices love the fishing. We had our wedding here and it was great. Great parking. Lots of room, areas for good and bad weather. Things for adults and kids. Safe place to let kids play. Pet friendly things for all ages to do from play grounds to historical facts. Open most all day and can be used 24/7 by campers. Rangers keep the area very clean reservation can be made for your perfect spot or activities. I would highly recommend for anyone local or traveling. A must try for anyone in the area.
Great place to bring the family and hike, fish and explore!
Great park. Several nice hiking trails and an informative museum
Charleigh Ruth had an awesome 1st BDay party!
Had my family reunion there past 3 yrs. Nice and quite well kept
Nice park for picnics and camping. Trails are easy. Not for regular hiking, but nice easy nature walk. Lake is clean.
Andrew Jackson SP has two nice, easy nature trails (one next to the office and the other around the lake) that make for a great afternoon walking the dogs. The geese have their goslings with them and there are plenty of benches around the lake to sit and watch.
I didn't really care for this place. I've Rv'd at much nicer places.
Used it for birthday parties, family gatherings, family pictures etc..
Very nice and very quiet state park. For camping it only has 25 total sites which makes it have a very laid back feel. very close to a pretty lake, nature trails and some cool history. Only "negative" the RV pads are not very level, I would definitely bring leveling blocks.
Always enjoy our state park
You should take the time to stop if you like history. The old school house is great.
Nice quite place
Wonderful place to camp. Nice clean bathhouse and showers. Nice, large playground. Boats to rent, fishing and just fun bike riding. I always have fun meeting so many nice new people whenever I go and everyone is so welcoming to the kids.
I love walking the nature trail when the sun has went down and the temperature is great!
Clean park and friendly helpful staff. This was our 3rd stay and we can't wait to go back!
Film inside museum kept repeating over and over and over and over again! Drove us nuts! Glad we visited tho...
This place is an absolutely wonderful park. There is a lake. There are plenty of areas to walk around and explore. There are a lot of areas where you can just be in your own little nook and not be bothered by others like in other parks where the whole place is completely out in the open. There is also a building that you can rent out for large events.
Loved it. First camper trip ever. Highly recommend Andrew Jackson State park. Nice lake. Easy enter sites. Dump station. Peaceful clean park.
Great place to camp. Friendly staff and campers. Sites are nice even though the park is small. Close to home and lots to see and do.
Really pretty but know if you want to go into museum durong week must make appointment
Perfect small campground. Quiet and peaceful
We tent camped here for two nights. Beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and our kids really enjoyed the trails and lake. We will definitely visit again.
Its was ok
It was very wet when we visited, so the walking trails were muddy. We will. We will visit again.
Very small sloped campsites. Other than that it is a nice small quiet park.
The wood around the pad at the firepit is broken and tearing apart. Afraid to use the fire pit. Otherwise, things were great.
We showed up late and was greeted with excellent customer service! Thank you for being accommodating and letting us stay I know it was closing time...he even gave us some wood to build a fire! We will be back for sure! Next time with reservations
A wealth of history told by knowledgeable volunteers
Real cool place to take the kids.
Great place for walking dogs...
Go jackson, dont worry, it's a safe Jackson Park. No kiddy rides, just Nature at its finest.
Love it.
Nice, clean, easy to walk, lots of wildlife
Just got done camping there this weekend was not happy due to the fact the bath houses showers was cold no hot water and the shower would not shut off tried to rent the same spot so we didn't have to move our camper and come to find out they rented to non camping pick up truck with no tent or camper ended up paying 10.00 more for another spot. Kids making messes in the bath houses with no prenatal supervision.
Small camp sites, table is at the other side of where the door is. Do like the grass.
Great place to see history.
Nice little state park near Lancaster. Very interesting history. Also has a nice trail to follow. This place is oet friendly as long as they are on leashes.
We had a spectacular time here. The park is clean, well maintained, beautiful and relaxing. The staff was amazing. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The ranger, Laura, even helped us with where we could find laundry services in town. Would highly recommend to others. Pet friendly.
It's always fun here!
Really cool little place to hike around with lots of wildlife
Enjoyed a pleasant one mile hike with the kids. Nice playground.
I have gone here to just walk around and explore and to take our maternity photos. It has an easy trail to take little ones and a perfect place to take photos.
Nice park go view for pictures.
Very peaceful. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
A great place to visit for the day. I recommend the walking trail around the lake. It is quiet and beautiful.
We love going there.
Love camping here, so many amenities and so much to do.
History..Ancestry.
Beautiful even in the fall. Camp sites are not very level but they are paved and very clean. We have a great view of the lake. Who could ask for more.
Good little park right off HWY 521 a little tight camping but fun. Lots of locals rely on this place to get outdoors for the weekend. Good walking trail and fishing is challenging..
Not a huge park, but a little something for everyone. Some history, two nature trails (one around a small lake), amphitheater, campground. Go outside and play!
Our family Reunion was held there. It was wonderful!!!
Just love the dedication to preserve the historic landmark...it's a great place for lunch, fishing, or a small venue performance. Campsites are limited in this small but grand state park. Its a lovely walk around the lake and around the grounds. Lots of covered picnic areas provide shelter for those rainy days.
Beautiful amphitheater for a wedding
Beautiful quiet park with a small lake.
I was pleasantly surprised by how cool this place is. Brought my two younger kids with me and we all really enjoyed it. The museum is actually quite interesting, with a bunch of items and exhibits from the 1700s. The lake is really beautiful, there’s a good playground nearby, and the Nature Trail wraps completely around this lake. There is also a large, very cool amphitheater, some historical replica buildings, and and impressive statue of a guy on a horse. We spent 2 - 3 hours there and could have spent even more time, but was getting late. Highly recommend this park on days with good weather.
Very nice park . Love it .
We love this park. Fishing, canoeing, walks in nature trails. They have a small museum w lots of artifacts, some even to try on. The lots are clean w a fire ring and picnic table..
Great place. Need more camping sites spread out
I love coming out here to either walk or go fishing It is really beautiful out there. And at $2 a person you can't beat that. Go check it out!
Beautiful and quiet
GOOD PLACE TO VIST AND CAREING PEOPLE THERE TO EXPLAIN QUESTIONS YOU HAVE
this is an awsome place i learn about my distant cousin and everything! (yes he is my cousin no judge)
beautiful
Our family are park goers and wanted to give this park a try. We drove over from waxhaw. History of park is good. The playground that if offers is not good. Playground equipment needs to be cleaned with a pressure washer. I would not even let our child play on it because of the mold and dirt. We packed up and went to Cane Creek Park.
It was ok
The nature trail is so awesome. My husband and I took the kids and they loved it. Went to the lake. Didn't catch anything but they had a blast. Definitely will be returning.
Lots of trees close together. Nice but gotta be careful driving into site. Very hilly. Need to level
Beautiful park with a mile long trail that goes around the lake. There are plenty of different butterflies and dragonflies to see and some small fish in the shallow waters. There are also very tiny frogs on the trail so watch where you step! My only complaint is that you can hear traffic through the trees on part of this trail. The small museum, old buildings, and monuments are also very interesting.
The place where my life forever changed 20+ years ago.
Great park, tons of things to see and small fishing pond with non powered boat rentals
Clean, peaceful, and friendly. Stayed here about 6 weeks in tents and all was good!
Nice lake, trail in the woods along the lake almost a mile. Camping on the lake on the woods. Pier for fishing and boats to rent. Playground for kids in the woods. Museum with lots of great information statue of the president, old school house, small chapel for venues. I love this park. We stop there frequently to enjoy nature and quiet.
Nice state park , motor home or camp trailer camping on the lake
Nice park can fish, canoe, walking ,and camping. They have night lantern trails and all kinds of neet events fun for any age so step out side your normal routine and turn off the T.V. and video games get out and try something fun and adventurous, the more the merrier
Great Family Day trip or wknd camp trip
Love this place. I will return
Nice little park in Lancaster SC. Has a nice lake and playground. Some historical sites and a few walking trails. Nice campground but it fills up quick. Not many camping g spots but a nice place to camp. Close to Restaurants in Lancaster or Indian Land, SC.
This is a great place for a good walk. Easy trails, lots of flora and fauna. If your kids are the ones that can name every plant or critter, this is a great place. Plus history!
its beautiful
Cool historic site
Wonderful experience kids and i enjoyed it so much thank you!!!!
Great playground for the kids. We took family pictures here
Many sweet memories here! As I was married here in the chapel
Very clean with required amenities for safe and fun camping
Great park with a lot of beautiful features. Can even rent a boat to go out on the lake (have to go to the main office near the entrance to do so) and be carful going onto the island in the middle of the lake (you might get some bug bites), its really beautiful. The nature trails are great, although one seems like it needs a little trimming (one past the church like structure, then passing the back road). Overall a great place to spend the day.
Campground is beautiful we will be back at some point!
You cant camp 1 yrs strait
Quick overnight family outing to site 17. Over looking the lake. Will return soon. Close and easy. Little busy getting out on Sunday...a little patience goes a long way.
Beautiful park. The boats are not properly tied up and didn't seem to be maintained but we had a great time.
Campground great, bathrooms fine, showers not good. Water was hot but had no pressure. Could use a daily spritz of bleach?
Loved it here when we came on a school field trip
Beautiful park. Historic plaques throughout to explain the who and why and what because the museum is only open on weekends for a couple hours. Nature trail is gorgeous.
A beautiful state park with many exceptional historical depictions of our controversial but undeniably iconic 7th President the United States.
Nice park
Nice clean and welcoming. Really enjoy it.
Great facility. The museum is very educational.
Stayed here for four nights over the July 4th holiday and loved every minute of it. Staff here is very friendly and helpful, area is very clean and peaceful. Stayed at campsite 19 which backs up to the 18 acre lake. The numbers on the campsites are hard for us to read, but we also drove in during a monsoon - the numbers are painted at the front of the campsite, fyi. The bathroom and showers onsite were clean and air conditioned. There is no wifi here but had plenty of cell service. Our camper is 32ft and we had some issues with the trees on the side we get in on, but wouldn't be an issue with shorter campers.
We went for the afternoon to try out kayaking in the lake. We had a great time.
Nice park featuring the history of 1700 colonial life. Park ranger are very nice and informative. A busy park so reservations are recommended for shelters.
Great walking trails. Nice campsites. Lake with boats and canoes to rent. Playground equipment was great. Also has an outdoor amphitheater!
Clean comfortable shelters with electricity. But could use addtional handicap parking. We had a church picnic but we had to have membèrs park the çars for our seniors and disabled members.
Beautiful peaceful place to spend a day!
More for rv and camper than tent camping. Very rocky ground if not on the asphalt driveway, which is where we had to put our tents. Fishing and nature trail, 2 shower and toilet stahls but they are airconditioned. Fairly small campgrounds
With friends from Gibsonville, this is was where my husband took me for 7 days, 6 nights for my birthday last week. I felt so happy too be there for birthday celebrations and be camping as well. It was so Nice, peaceful and quiet. Absolutely loved the lot 13 we were on near the waterfront. Took our 2 girls on the trails enjoying nature at its best here during the fall season. I really hope too come back soon, but for now I have a memory too recall at the BEST state park in SC. so far. Perry @ Wanda Huffman.
Small quite campground with beautiful lake view. 2 nice hiking trails, playground and boat rentals. Loved the Andrew Jackson museum and little school house on the property. So nice we even stayed an extra night. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Looking forward to returning to this park.
Nice trails. The lake is small and quaint with lots of bird houses posted. Very nice little museum and the park ranger was so nice!!
Very beautiful and it's peaceful there
