I LOVE the farmers market on Fridays!! Tons of fresh and organic vegetables, herbs, spices and even fresh meats straight from the butcher!! AMD dont forget about the pony rides and other livestock!!

Okay so this beach is nice, but they won’t let you have anything in the water my daughter was playing with a water disk and got yelled at by the life guard the moment she stepped into the water but let other kids bring in squirt guns etc. She even got yelled at again for wearing goggles. So this is a nice beach to hang out, but if you or your kids wanna wear goggles or play with beach toys then you will get yelled at and the water is very murky and will sting your eyes if you get water in them and you can’t have goggles to protect your eyes in the water. So this beach protocol is very unfair and I don’t give recommendation to go to this beach so this beach gets 1 star!! So if you want to do anything other then swim in this water you get yelled at Because of these reasons DO NOT GO TO THE BEACH!!! Otherwise the park was very nice they just need to lighten up on the rules a lot.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid in the late 1960s. Some changes but much is the same. The staff is stll very helpful and takes a fairly laissez faire approach. Dont be a jerk and youll be fine. Dozens of picnic locations; huge open fields; acceptable bathrooms; horse and walking trails....even a few geocaches (look it up LOL) Something for everyone whether a family, a date, or an individual.

A beautiful setting. Restroom is clean and we'll stocked. The sites are clearly marked, though a bit confusing to navigate. Grounds are clean and we'll maintained. Please remember to bring trash bags, and if you bring it in, take it out.

Very beautiful. I went when it wasn't busy at all, half a dozen on the beach. I walked a few trails and truly enjoyed myself. Clean park, great little beach and friendly people. Definitely spend a little time here when/if you ever visit RI. Not really an all day thing, but 3 or 4 hours and you'll be happy you went.

It's a really great state park! It's pretty big, with camping, fishing, boating, a carousel, and so much more! It has a long shoreline for long walks on the beach, and since 98% of people on dating apps say that's what they enjoy, it's perfect!

I moved states and this place was right up the road. So I thought I would check it out. The park is usually not too busy on weekdays. You will see quite a few people doing their thing. Golf, running, walking, taking pictures and riding horses, on the weekends the sky is the limit, within park rules anyway, is well maintained. The weekends are the best, the families are so happy and friendly.

I went on a field trip to this place and I had fun. They provided us lunch, we got to do lot of fun stuff. We also got to see fishes and a type of crab I did not know about, I always thought there was only one type of crab. And we searched for animals and it was fun because we got to use binoculars. People should come to this place, maybe have a field trip is travel here and cone have some fun!

The beauty of this park is hard to describe. From the rough wooded areas full of trails to the well kept open fields for picnicking and family sports and a coast line that goes from maintained beaches and boat docks to rocky challenging walks. This place offers something for everyone. Including horseback riding and golf.. Ive been going here my whole life.. Love it..

I have twins that would be 3 years old in October, this was an awesome Family friendly atmosphere. What it was clean, and everybody was polite. I didn't have a problem finding a private picnic table for my family to enjoy eating lunch either. So over all five stars.

Great spot to stretch your legs and run around with the kids on the vast fields or fly a kite. You can use a fire pit to cook up some burgers if you can find one with a grate. There are some bathrooms, a little stable with horses, a beach, and a golf course. Also worth a mention is on Fridays there is a farmers market.

Has great places for parties and picnics. Staff are always friendly and ontop of any issues or questions you have. Park is also pretty well kept. Grass is always cut and garbage is rarely ever seen outside a trash can. Only reason for not 5 star is sometimes the staff will say conflicting things. Like for example I once rented a whole section, about 4-5 site, each one PAID for, a MONTH in advance and they told another group they could come and set up there party where ever. Guess where the people tried to set up... On my paid for sites... Better communication should have been used on the park behalf. Other than that bad experience this place is a overall great place to spend the day with the family.

Nicely maintained with plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. We go there to walk our dogs. The staff patrol and enforce the rules very well. One rule is dogs must be on leash at all times. That is a huge reason why we go to this park. Almost all other parks we know of never enforce the rules. So dogs run around some completely unattended and feces is a common sight. Most people are indignant when asked to leash their dog...typically the commonly ignorant reaction. So we are very pleased that if we tell staff at this park someone is not using a leash they actually go looking for the person right away.

This magnificent park was paid for with blood and taxes of freedomfighters, in. WW1, WW2, and more recent wars. About 90% of the people there today were beautiful, hard working families, of Hispanic decent. I watched children, young adults and older people interact, their humanity is just like non-Hispanics, except they do not come from countries with democratic traditions. They come from totalitarian and authoritarian countries. They came here for freedom and opportunity. I wish them all love, peace and prosperity. I hope they learn those blessings of life are not bestowed or given to them by government. I hope they vote to keep us free from big government AND big business. I send my love to all hard working immigrants.

Five stars for the course. The golf course is in great shape. Unfortunately the governor found out us senior citizens were only paying $6 for a round. She upped the fees to $10. That's a 66% increase. No stars for the governor.

Great area for the money. The only problem I had was keeping other people off the fields we purchased. Every hour there was someone new trying to golf or set up a tent on spots we rented for our cookout. Though the Rangers are friendly they don't check for permits often enough. And after 4pm there's no one around to get them to leave! Ohh and they don't give refunds.

So beautiful and vast! I come from NY and we got a butt load of beautiful parks, but nothin quite like Goddard. There's LITERALLY something for everyone at this park. It's an absolutely gorgeous park. There's a beautiful beach, a gorgeous equestrian center, golfing, plenty and I mean PLENTY of room for any kind of event or picnic. If you're like me and you're a huge introvert, first off, I'm sorry, but also, there's an abundance of spaces to go to be by yourself or have a private party with just friends and family without feeling crowded. This park is just really incredible! But be warned, during events in the summer and spring, this place turns into a introverts nightmare but a extroverts playground.

This park has everything, it surprised me! Gulf courses, boat landings, a beach, and lots of places to have events for birthday parties and events. It's also a huge place, so lots of walking and biking for exploration not too far from Providence. A nice getaway for many reasons, like a picnic or just being by yourself, if your in the area, check it out!

Pretty cool place. Tons of space to do activities. You can rent a spot for barbecuing/grilling if you want to grill. There's a small beach here too. Near the beach is a small restaurant that sells some food like clam cakes and hotdogs. Goddard Park is also a great spot for walking and running!

Went to the beach and drove thru the park to get to it. The park is well kept and hudge. The beach itself is also well kept and clean. The life guards are nice and so is the park personel. They alao have a gols course and carousel. I enjoyed myself at the beach twice this week.

If you're having a large event, this is the place! I was recently at the Imagine Walk & Family Fun Day, held at Goddard Park by The Autism Project of RI. I'm not sure how many people attended this year, but they've broken 10,000 attendees before. Goddard Memeorial Park handles it. Great facilities, gazebos, etc.

We rented some sites in the 100s to shoot a music video and have a cookout. Was very impressed by the grounds and the way they were kept. Plenty of picnic tables around and very old trees for some awesome shade. There was a small charcoal bar-b-q pit but we brought our own grill. I didn't see any litter around and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Just a great overall experience and value for the money.

The park is nice for family picnics, plenty of tables and grilling areas. Also large fields for games. Rest rooms are clean and available. The only downside is too much traffic, and while most people drive safely, there are always a few that think they have the right of way no matter what. Or are in a hurry to get nowhere, the ones that you see go round and round.

This is very special state park which is located RI State. The place is huge and very beautiful and scenic. The place has variety of things to do if you would like to spend entire day here. Beautiful state park! Go to C & L Stables and get a horse ride along the beach, then soak up the sun, play some golf, or just hang out in the HUGE open spaces. There are wooded walking trails too. I call one "raspberry road" because it is lined with wild raspberry bramble. So you get to walk in a gorgeous area AND get a snack.

Unfortunately, this little gem has been over run by disrespectful inebriated people who get drunk in the parking lot while blasting music and send their unattended children to the beach area and in the water unsupervised. Today two of these children bullied and brutalized the small children who couldn't swim, shoving them under the water and high-fiving each other while the mother and her friends partied in the parking lot. After 30 years I WILL NEVER go there again. Bad people ruin things for everyone. SMH!! The unhelpful environmental police should have arrested this mother who was drunk and disorderly, but didn't hold her accountable which means she will be back again to terrorize everyone.

Beautiful place to sit and talk with someone. Nice at night because it just looks gorgeous. I could sit there for hours with a person just talking about anything. Goddard State Park - where to start? So much to offer... A public park with plenty of flat terrain, making it accessible for folks in wheelchairs. Wanna picnic or party? Plenty of picnic tables and simple charcoal barbecue grills for use, old trees to provide ample shade, and spaces can be reserved in advance, making this an ideal venue for any celebration that may require a bounce house. Other highlights include a boat ramp, sandy shoreline facing the Bay, a covered carousel, and horseback riding.

Iwalked into the woods About a 100' by the shore and came across this beautiful tree this is a beautiful shot photo However my one star is me strictly judging on the beach area in front of the parking lot I was not impressed it looked like murky Sad water hardly the ocean I went to the bathhouse there is 2 toilets in the woman's bath house from what I could see. My visit was in May during the off season I can't imagine going here during the summer Maybe I'm spoiled coming from the North Shore and Massachusetts but I've seen way better state parks I will not be visiting this place again.
