This Park corresponds to the category of State park.
I mean, come on guys. World Class Disc Golf, home of the Beaver State Fling, and many sub tournaments. Great property for everyone. Equestrians, Hikers, Swimming, Fishing, Rafting, Camping. All in a park outside Estacada. I easily get a value from the Oregon State Parks Pass. I feel like I ripped them off with how often I go to Milo. Seriously my cost this year would be about $300 for my 60 annual visits. I think I paid $40 for the pass. Value.
Easy to navigate, hiked and fished at Estacada lake, awesome views and nice walks
Nice campground and you might be able to catch your dinner
Great spot to fish, play, and picnic. Quiet mornings are the best and you can't beat the view.
The frisbee golf course is the best in town
This was first experience there and I loved it. I played in a disc golf tournament. It's a fun challenging disc golf course. There is a beautiful river that runs around it that I seen lots of people tubing on. A local told me that you can put in on one side of the park and float the river around and get out on the other side it's about an hour float. Also there is a good amount of restroom / shower facilities in the park.
Fantastic track with good maintenance and facilities.
Always a great experience! Love this park
I go here for the world class disc golf course. This park is beautiful and great for camping or floating on the river as well. If you come to camp and play disc golf keep in mind that the campground is on the opposite side of the park as the course. Roughly 2 miles apart. It's a big park.
An absolutely beautifully maintained forest garden bubble, right along the river and separated from the real world by steep hills. Come get lost here while playing some of the best disc golf holes in Oregon, or just hike around and take in the countryside. It's a state park, so there is a fee, but it's well worth it.
Gorgeous! Great little park for picnics, or gatherings, great access to the river, good hiking as well.
I love this state park. Just a short drive east of downtown Portland. Very accessible and beautiful. We regularly visit this park to play the excellent 27 holes of disc golf. It's amazing and right on the Sandy River. Lots of other fun stuff to do out here too!
Gorgeous! Nice little area to run the dogs! Wasnt over crowded. Met some really nice people. Well kept! I cant wait to go again. Considering checking out the camping area! Short drive from portland!
Nice park. Pretty big.
Nice campground overall and good rates.
Very soothing park with amenities.
quiet, secrete frisbee golf for days
Wonderful place big camp sites some with hook ups
Nice sized campgrounds far away from traffic. Best disc golf course in the state. Great hiking trails. Horse and mountain bike trails.
Awesome place to camp or/and hike.
I walked up within 10 feet of these deer while mom stood in the woods and watched. This park is huge and amazing. I wish I had a chunk of land to develop into my own park like this
As of 5/1/2019 the disc golf course is in perfect condition with the fairways mowed and the pins in the long positions. Enjoy!
Great camping spots with fishing and kayaking. Great place to just relax for a weekend.
Outdoor movies at the park! Good way to spend an evening.
One of my top 3 favorite disc golf courses. Epic!
Quiet Lots of trees. Wildlife. Beautiful location
This park is so beautiful and there is so much space for activities!
I would give it 5 stars except the price of $26/night for partial hookup (water & electric) since there's no grey/black dump at the site and I just really think for $26 to get that deep in the woods is crazy. Female park ranger and camp host Richard and Starr are amazing! All three made this stay the best!
Great park with immense natural beauty
This place is marvelous with beautiful and kept trails. We opted for the river bend trail and enjoyed a mix of forest and open atmosphere. It’s quite a large park and with that we can’t wait to go back and explore the rest of the trails and the scenic views.
Only just started exploring this place, but we found the perfect little spot for the kiddos to play in the water on a hot day! Will definitely be back!!
What a great place to camp! Beautiful area, lots to do in the park and in the area in general. We loved it!
Nice place to make barbeques with your family and swim at the lake. The only thing I didn't like was that they only have a restroom and have to make line to go in should have more restrooms since there is a lot of people coming and going. Other than that a beautiful environment.
I love this park! Great spot to put in the water. They now have a spot to launch and take out kayaks. Lots of trails to walk. I did my engagement pictures here in the fall and they turned out great!
Beautiful forest area with fishing, hiking, horse and bike trails. Fish hatchery to visit. Restrooms include showers that are kept clean. Each campsite has a fire pit and table. Fire wood to purchase for $5.00 a bundle. Cash only.
Great place to paddle.. but no shoreline to relax on
Really cute spot near the bottom of the dog trail near the fish hatchery.
Really nice State Park with boat ramp and great bank fishing areas. Also has real nice campsites during the summer time remember to reserve ahead real peaceful minutes away from busy city life.
Nice Park, beautiful location, small campground. They charge $2/person for the showers though - regardless if you have paid to camp or not. The bathrooms are in the same building with a couple stalls for entire campground
Love it there it's a beautiful place to go camping, horse back riding, fishing, and much more. You will also see wild life in it's glory.
Beautiful park, Clackamas River is stunning and the off leash area for the dogs is awesome!
I had so much fun I never took any pictures! I love the shower options and it was very quiet. With a plethora of things to do close by.
Daily fee to go into the park. So much to do. Well worth the entry fee.
Beautiful, and great river float spot.
Great park close to the metro area. The group sites are great and the kids enjoyed running around.
Milo MacGiver Park is phenomenal, only reason giving it three stars is because of a dangerous encounter with a male running the Horse trails! He literally came out of nowhere and rushed our horses, the horses had strong reactions, one did a 360 , another backed out of the runners way till he went down on his haunches, the other horse was just stunned! The runner was so less concerned about us and the horses, we had to tell him to stay where he was until we could get things calmed down, all he could do is complain that his RUN on the Horse trail was interrupted! He never asked if he could help, if anyone was hurt because I came off my horse into some soft grass luckily enough, but never made a move to even act concerned! His actions were totally inappropriate to the situation! He was very weird and spooky, he is about 5’10, black hair, medium completion, dressed in blue and white, with black sneakers on! He felt he had no responsibility in the whole situation! Now mind you earlier we had encountered bicycles, people with dogs, walkers, etc, all very nice and courteous and mindful of the horses and no negative reaction from the horses at all, but this guy bolts around out in front of us like a blur, and it turned dangerous! He would have heard us because we were talking and laughing very loudly and he was not wearing any ear buds! The whole encounter with this man was very unnerving and surreal! It seemed put upon in after thought!
Great little place. Nice in the off season, can walk around freely.
Great spot to drop your SUP or kayak for a few hours on the Estacada River.
Saw two eagles mate at this park. Very cool experience. If you spend time by the water you will see alot of wildlife
Large park with lots of stuff to do. Plenty of hiking and horse trails, tiny lake for kayaking and fishing, decent campground, disc golf and several day use areas. It was however very crowded and noisy, I'm guessing due to its proximity to Portland so try to avoid weekends. Also the signage is not the greatest for the park in general and practically non-existent for the disc golf course!
Enjoyed it and fun trails to walk and good views
I love, love Mciver State Park. I have been riding horses here for 25 years. This review is for the trail system at the park. I was riding with some friends this week and a man came running around a blind corner (which there are many on …
Beautiful park! I would go there again just to relax. Not crowded, very peaceful.
So many reasons to love this park! I haul my horses in to ride. There is a wonderful trail system for horses and hikers; bikes have there own trails in another area. Sometimes you can see deer, coyotes, and bunnies on the trails. The trails …
I come here to kayak usually! Mellow class 2 Rapids with interesting playboat features. The biggest rapid is after the take out boat ramp, heading towards Feldheimer rd. The park also has an excellent disc golf course! If you like it hard!
Great place to disc golf. Beautiful river.
one de hotspots in Oregon fer Sasquatch sightings/soundings
Awesome disc golf courses.
Close to OC, it has amazing scenery and is not busy most of the time. Many great secluded trails to hike around with my dogs.
Great point to stick your kayak or raft into the river
Nice place to stroll with a loved one, and my favorite place to launch on the lower Clackamas river.
Campground is well-kept and very clean to boot, lots of trees, the bathroom I was in yesterday was well kept
Nice camoground....we will be back.
Beautiful area, not many sandy areas to be found along the river by the day use area and not super easy to river access aside from the boat launch. Excellent spot for tubing!
Great park to visit or go camping with the family. The sandy river is right there and you can also visit a small fish hatchery. Very fun place.
Incredible Disc Golf Course. Amazingly fun to play for any skill level, beautiful holes, and awesome variety. Just wish it was easier to get to (from Portland area)
The disc golf here is amazing. It is a full sized course with long holes.
Beautiful park , very nice area with lots of hiking, biking and horse trails . Access to the Clackamas river with a boat launch and cool public fish hatchery .
Love this park. Nice dog run, excellent hiking trails, kayaking at Estacada Lake. This park has it all. Oh yeah, disc golf for those who like that. Fun
We rented out one of the picnic shelters, it had outlets and even a connection to charge a Electric wheelchair, running water and there was a restroom facility close by.
Estacada Lake fishing there for disabled so much fun! Especially after stocking so check the schedule. Platform usually fairly busy but everyone is courteous and willing to move over for one more!
Can't say enough good things about this course. Plenty of course options and they're challenging, but not overly brutal.
Beautiful park and a disc golf course.
One of my favorite parks in the area! Tons of things to do like floating, frisbee, hiking, picnics and horse riding. Plus the fee is affordable! Park is massive and its layout allows for quiet spaces and privacy. Family friendly .
One of the best disc golf courses I've ever played, just amazing. Challenging as hell while still being really fun for beginners, two tee pad positions at every hole allows you to pick your difficulty. Beautiful layout, lots of elevation change and hole variety set along the banks of the Clakamas river. World class
Cool parks gin camping and biking. Also right on the Clackamas river.
We floated in a 2 person raft from McIver to Barton, took 3 hours and we got soaked away the first set of rapids... so fun.
Favorite park in Oregon! Great river access, good fishing opportunities good views! World class Disc Golf course!
Best disc golf in this direction. Long open spots, tight wooded shots, and a lot in between. Totally worth the drive to toss a full 18. And the locals figured out a good way of doing it besides just running through the two nine-hole courses so that you end up back when you started without traversing all around.
Best place to catch fish and also play disc golf , camping , trails . Boating and rafting .
This park is HUGE.. Easy to get lost in but very beautiful.
Great place for disc golf. Had to play the big layout due to driving 3 hours to get here.
Nice park to begin all day float on the river.
Nice place to camp. Make new friends.
Took a friend there for a tour. The trip reminded me just how big and beautiful the park is. Everything from frisbee golf to horseback riding.( horse not included ) Hiking trails, family and group picnic areas, scenic views, camping area with showers and river access. There is no excuse for not making this one of your local summer getaways
This State Park is absolutely amazing. We played some Frisbee, did some hiking, had a picnic and showed the kids the dam. It was a great day and where was tired at the end of it so I would say or was a success. We will be back for disc golf and running with the kids this summer. This is a must visit for anyone that loves the outdoors. All the pics are from one great day.
Clean and quite..very nice place
Love to trail ride with the horses but wish the paths were not so graveled.
A great place to camp or ride horses or bikes. Be prepared to deal with a bunch of hipster millennials though. And like any public service in Oregon be prepared to pay out the nose to utilize said service even though your paying taxes.
Great place to take kids. Water is clean. It is a beautiful swim spot. Very peaceful.
A great park! Arrived later in the evening and was greeted by the park host who was very helpful, informative and friendly. We used a tent site that was cheap at $18. It was well sized and private with a picnic table and fire pit with …
Went to River side day use area. Too many people by access area and not a large enough area to enjoy River. There may be other areas I didn't know about.
Been going here since I was a kid. Great recreation and trout fishing.
This is a drop in for rafts as well as inner tubes. There's lots of other cool things to do here. there are Creeks to climb through where you can walk in the water. There are hikes and viewpoints. You can even drop in on an inner tube at the top of the park and float down to a place to pull out at the bottom of the park.
Very scenic, and a fantastic disc golf course
Lots of great hiking trails. Campground is pretty nice too. Off leash dog area is great.
Great place to go to fish and picnic or start your float down river
One of my favorite state parks out there. Great views and trails.
Always a great place for camping and fishing on the Clackamas River
Killer Park, oops maybe I should say horrible Park! Because if I tell everybody how good this place is there won't be anywhere for us to come and visit!... LOL
Nice park with lots to do. Hike , camp, horse back, fish , or lounge by the river. Nice views too
Came for BSF. Some of the best courses I have ever played and watched pros play. Get out here if you have the chance.
Beautiful park and waterway, I'll happily return in the future I'm sure
Beautiful area...Maple picnic area is great for small weddings. Bathroom nearby. $5 day fee to park
Good place to catch salmon and steelhead, just need more elbow room.
This is a great campground and place to kayak!
Big, green with great floating and paddling!
This place is amazing! I love taking my dog here.
Clackamas river summer heaven. Cool, maybe cold water at a great spot. Treasured spot is one of many great sites on the river.
A famous Oregon State Park! Big area to see and do so much! Rangers very nice and excited to answer questions! Safe and if homeless treated well. Thank you from Bailey and becky
Good fishing, beautiful part of the river.
Beautiful park. Lots of activities and space to perform them. Great disc golf courses.
Gorgeous park, gorgeous river, challenging and beautiful disc golf
Estacada lake was very refreshing today
Well-maintained trails clean, river access. Very little wyte trash
Beautiful park. Beautiful river. Lots of space and really nice people in the area. Found crawdads and minnows :) my daughter loved that!! and also a fishing hook on the ground so please be careful.
It's nice how close this campground is to Portland. It's also very family friendly. The sites are a little too close together for my liking but it is a shared camp area. It feels like a good choice if you're doing some group or family camping. There are quite a few trails that you can hop onto from the campground. We took a few along the river which was nice. There's a boat launch by the river there and kayak rentals as well.
We enjoy camping here even tho it's closer to home. Sometimes we go just to walk around. The trees around the campsites are quite mature so privacy is good. Clean park and restrooms are always a plus. Disc golf is nice area but I wish they had a 3 hole practice area too.
Huge park on the Clackamas river. Disc golf, horse and walking trails, camping, boat ramp with canoe launch. Just love going here before the kids get out of school for the relaxation.
Home of the Beaver State Fling! Nice disc golf course famous for Philo's albatross.
Beautiful peaceful lots of parking and restrooms... also alot of spots for fishing a few good swimming holes. Camp grounds disk golf trails to walk and area for horses and round pin
Beautiful campground. Trees are crazy tall pines with moss all over the branches. Large sites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Electricity and water at sites. We used this as a base to hang out in Portland which was 40 minutes away. Great place.
Dog friendly and the trails are very easy to navigate
Close to town but feels like you are out and away from it all
Absolutely gem of a park world-class disc golf course great camping hot showers a must-do
Very large plenty of fun things to do
Perfect. Dog off-leash area, hiking, disc-golf, horseback riding, canoe and birdwatching there is everything to do here!
So green and beautiful. Even under a cloudy, Misty, grey and cold day. Too bad the fish hatchery didn't have any ponds full, but we did visit when it was almost October. The park and fish hatchery are open every day.
Extremely large and decently priced !
One of the most beautiful places on Earth. A disc golfers paradise in a magical and serene landscape.
Always well kept. Never seem to find overflowing trash or recycling. Always a beautiful park to visit and chuck some plastic.
Gorgeous park with large campsites, lots of trails and things to see, and the hosts were incredibly nice.
It has so much to do here and so many animals to see and get close too great fun for everyone
Nice park, easy to find the shelter locations and restrooms close by. The roads are a bit bumpy, but nothing terrible in a small car.
Great for fishing and some "you know what" time with someone special...
The doctor ordered me to take a vacation, to rest. So I went to McIver. It was perfect. Peaceful, serene. Sounds of cheerful birds and children. Walking trails and paths. Excellent facilities. And friendly staff. My stay there was just what the doctor ordered! ♡
Beautiful park. Went for Hollywood movie night. Thoroughly enjoyed our surroundings.
This was my first time here and loved it!
Camping rafting, swimming, disc golfing, horse trails. Day and overnight use. Kayak and paddle boat rentals. And the views playing by the river. What more could you ask for.
Great place to enjoy a day with family
kool place to chill bring your inner tube
Great course, was fun to play and difficult
One of my favorite equestrian trails. Test your skills on the various obstacles.
Such a beautiful park with everything from disc golf, camping, horseback trails and alot of day use areas
Our first trip to this campground and it was great. Small, quiet park, fishing within walking distance and clean. The volunteers do an excellent job and the Forest rangers are extremely helpful and friendly. We went in the middle of the week and the park wasn't full. Weekends are a different story
Great river access, hiking and frisbee golf!
Tent camp here mid week. Nice easy hikes around the place and the bathrooms were clean.
Lots of space, and variety. Massive dog park, impressive equine area with an excellent parking lot, water trough, outdoor arena, lunging pen, trails... I think there was even a bat trail?! Park rangers were very present, but discreet, perfectly private, and safe.
Busy place. Sweet bathroom (not plural). Cool for a quick getaway if you can swing it but otherwise just ok
Love this place for camping, day trips, splash in the lake. Always clean and welcoming. Great for kids, family. Disc golf a hike, fishing it has it all!!!
Magical, and just far enough out of Portland to remain that way. If you don’t play Friday gold you probably don’t know of this gem, if you do you’re probably well aware.
Nice underrated state park in my opinion. Good if you want to hike in peace as this isn't one of the popular parks which attract huge crowds. Park at the viewpoint parking area and hike down to the Clackamas river East or West. Saturday well spent.
This park has it ALL. you can camp with beautiful sites, most with very close and clean bathrooms. The many waterway entrances are great. You can find a spot for anything. Swimming, fishing, boating. They have horse trails, disc golf and an amazing bat barn. We always have great fun here.
Beautiful park with two disc gold courses; a nine hole and 18 hole course. It also has capming and river access. Fun place for family and friends.
They had great grass. The bathrooms were large and clean.
Needs more bathrooms. No kayakers blocking boat ramps
Everything good but not fond of Clackamas county parks as most the rangers are arrogant and rude!
Beautiful river! If your planning on floating from here to the first bridge remember it's about 7 hours on the river so bring your sunscreen!
