REVIEWS OF Fort Stevens State Park IN Oregon

Ryan Klemme

This place is an amazing bit of history, where you can get up close and even wander through the fortifications and see some of the coastal defense guns up close. Take a walk through the museum and learn some interesting facts about Fort Stevens through the years. A must see if you're in the area!

jeff lycan

The camping here was good but a little cramped. Tons of spots but they fill fast. They also have yurts and just a couple cabins, which I'm sure are hard to get. Bathrooms where very clean, great for family camping. Overall a good place to set up especially if you come to the area for fishing

Joe Sanders

Great place to visit today was great weather. Lots to see and wish I had another day here. Maybe I'll come back since I didn't see it all. Don't forget your good camera!

Thawn Lowing

Great area to visit. Campground was very nice. Aside from being a bit crowded, its great.

Kaila Cummings

The bathrooms and land were very well maintained. However, the place is just a little too overcrowded and swarming with children for my personal liking. I would recommend it if you have a family, but probably not for a little getaway with your significant other.

Gregory Close

Such an awesome camp ground and so much cool history!

Christian Ledger

Gorgeous- it's always cool to explore a place with some history. The plaques are useful in understanding and visualizing what the fort used to look like- and being able to explore it freely was a bonus for sure. The views from atop the fort itself were wonderful, and it seems well maintained and clean.

Nickolas Elwell

One of the best historical places to vist while on the Oregon coast. It's a wonderful learning experience and GREAT for the kid's. They have a gift shop as well, and little shows they put on....BEST part is it's like $5 for an all day parking pass.

Jeffery Mullen

Great place to get away and kick some sand and listen to the ocean roar. Enjoyed learning about the ship that got washed to shore many years ago. The meatel on the ship is very colorful and very smooth. You can drive your 4x4 on to the beach and explore as well.

Braden Nakonechny

Beautiful park, Elk at dusk and sunsets are gorgeous, drive on the beach and make a campfire!

Mike Caputo

This is a beautiful place, packed with history, scenic vistas, and friendly and knowledge volunteers. And as my wife hilariously said: "Ironically, it's really peaceful here."

Daniel Nelson

Love this place! So many family memories growing up. Great place to make great memories and learn about our past.

Kevin Kevin

This is a must visit place for everyone in the northwest. The staff is amazing, the campsite are clean with electricity and showers available. There is a lot of history here don't miss the truck tour.

Keri Tegtmeier

Campgrounds are nice but small for large groups of people (15), bathrooms were clean and had outlets to charge devices. Beach access is for very high clearance vehicles, lots of parking for everyone else. Great place to bring bicycles!

Eedyn Monger

By far one of the best campgrounds. Freshwater lake for swimming and fishing, fine white sandy beach and ocean for skim boarding, kite surfing, boogie boarding, fires, dogs etc. Awesome paved bike trails, wildlife, forests for exploring and foraging, ranger programs, yurts and cabins as well as rv and tent sites. Costco and Walmart close by. 30 min to Cannon Beach. Book in adavance to get your site as it books up very quickly.

Douglas Younts

Our family loves coming here every August. The weather is perfect and we can drive on the beach to get our space where the dogs can run free.

Jessica Hoberg

Lots to do here. Nice sandy beaches, hiking trails, bike trails, and camping. Playground areas for kids too. The bugs can be a bit much in the summer though, so bring bug spray!

matthew woods

A very cool area well worth a day trip(there is camping here as well so maybe more than a day). See the wreck of the Peter iredel, explore the expansive fort system, plan a couple hours just for this. Also consider taking a tour on the beast and participating in the underground tour.(additional cost to the $5 parking that covers everything else) but certainly a huge addition to the experience. If you have to choose only one of the Columbia River forts (fort Columbia or fort Stevens) choose this one.

Anna Nutt

Great place for families loved the whole place and everything there to do

Jordan F

Always enjoy fort Steven's. Great place to have some beach to yourself and it seems to always be a nice day. Love the storms and the sunshine. Good nw beach

Christine Norris

WOW! What an amazing place. The ship wreck of the Peter Iredale is absolutely amazing to walk around. Go at low tide and you may be lucky enough to find a whole Sand Dollar in one piece.

Becca Robison

Cool shipwreck to visit. The shipwreck is smaller than I thought it would be. The beach is nice.

Elizabeth Angus

"It's okay". I didn't find anything too special about this park and we drove a little bit a ways for this. There are definitely other areas to be explored before this makes the list. Oh well, won't be coming back here.

Winthrop Bangasser

Very cool place. Make sure to check out the shipwreck on the beach

Heidi MacLeod

It's a very popular place to camp, and the facilities are nice. I'd love to give it 5 stars, but in certain loops there is no cell phone signal, and this is alarming because what if there is an emergency? @State of OR please reach out to the business that installs cell phone towers and have them put one up, especially around Loops N and O.

Randal Eggleston

Beautiful state park with the pacific ocean on the west and the Columbia River on the north. Home of the Peter Iredale wrecked remains. Camping, hiking, walking & biking. Short drive to Fort Clatsop replica, where Lewis & Clark party explored the west coast.

Matt McGill

Learned a lot about the Oregon coast at Fort Stevens. History goes back further than I thought. Amazing to tour alone with the park map, it has historic descriptions of each area as well as the placards. Planning to come back for a couple of the tours. Our 6 and 8 year olds liked it also.

Gordon Gibbs

Loved this area. Lots to do and see. Beach wasn't exactly walking distance from the camp ground but a short drive got you to a nice beach.

Sally White

Always enjoy this campground! So many things to do. Clean and well maintained. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

Keith Sautel

We visit every summer and it keeps getting better. The bike trails are great for our kids (9 & 12) and the campsites are mostly private.

Julynne Nelson

I think it's the best Oregon State Park We Stayed at.

Crystal Bryan

Several stops along the way. The kids enjoyed getting out and exploring the buildings. They pretended to be ghost hunters. Pack a lunch and plan on staying awhile. Something we failed to do. Day parking is $5, not bad for a full car! Beach access at some of the spots, for vehicles to drive on the sand.

Damon Starnes

Always enjoy this park. Great Campground. Bicycles are awesome here. Good hikes. Got to see the guard-house on this trip. Very interesting piece of History.

Mark Bradley

Theres a Great Hiking Place there. It's good to visit in the Summertime. Hard to get to the Beach of NW Oregon

Kevlyn Baker

Beautiful state park, the largest in Oregon. Great camping with easy access to the beach. Checkout the shipwreck or bike the many trails. Astoria is only a short drive away. We will be back!

Les Krout

Stayed a whole week. Nothing but acceptional visit. Pretty amazing how many people stayed in the campground and yet it stayed clean and ready for the next person. Everything around was awesome and the history is all over.

Mark Beck

Lock your bikes up! Meth-heads come into the park and campgrounds and steal them. I parked a cheap bike near the battery for about 40 minutes and when I came back, it had already been swiped. Other than that, it's a great area and campground.

Jonathan Sharp

Historically fascinating with open access to the military facilities from previous years. Also lovely for walking around with a dog.

Tiffany Valdes

Perfect for stand up paddle boarding & swimming with the family but the restrooms have been closed for a while so they have porta potties they put up. They have not been cleaned or stocked with the necessities.

Alicia Richardson

We love Fort Stevens! We go every May for the last 20 years to camp and go clam digging. After we got rid of our camp trailer, we started staying in a cabin. Sooooo nice. We won't camp there any other way there. You can't beat having your own shower and bathroom. Much better than the yurts...

Con Brennan

So much to see and do! Amazing beaches here! Part of a system of forts along the Pacific Coast. Wonderful interpretative centers and re-enactments can be seen.

Tim Lang

I had an amazing week long camping trip at Fort Stevens and it was awesome! Up and close with wildlife, swimming holes, beaches, and amazing historical landmarks. We stayed busy for the whole week and had a great time. The facilities were super clean, and the staff were really nice!

SME

Great place to visit in late March on a Monday. Very few people were present. Gives you an opportunity to visualize the scene and pay your respects to those who served our country. $5 to park and look around. A small investment for such a impactful POI.

Steve Johnson

Best park in oregon. Lots to do for the kids like the great bike trails they have

Todd Miller

Fort Stevens is a trip back in time. Visiting here I always get a sense of what people might have felt in Oregon during the Second World War. The people working here are pretty knowledgeable about the area and happy to share their knowledge. Some parts of the park are deteriorating and are off limits but you can still see many of the areas and get a sense of how our soldiers defended the Columbia River.

Dave Goodwillie

We had a great time camping. Lots are spacious for parking trailers. The shower rooms are really nice but bathrooms smell like an outhouse.

Stella Lam

Nice place to camp. However, showers are not close to certain circles, so you do have to walk to the next camp sites which can be far depending the camp site circle. The site is older, so the paths to restrooms are not marked with lights nor have signage. Make sure you look for the path during the day to familiarize yourself so its easier during night time.

Cthippo1 .

Awesome park with a ton of history and lots and lots to see. There are fortifications from three different eras (Which AFAIK) do not exist anywhere else, as well as beaches and views and even elk. Parking fee is $5 and the museum is nice, if small.

Hoang Huyae

A beautiful beach with a lot of trails and activities like biking, running. The campground is well organized and clean with shower and electricity, water. Nothing to complain so far.

Tim Lahr

This is an amazing state park that has a lot to offer for all ages.

Debbie Swartz

1st visit we walked from KOA to the beach and I think you see so much more.

Elmer Culata

Enjoyable camping place. Lots to see including a lake and the Fort that has rusty iron cannon and antique war support machines. BTW they have also a different kinds of hum bee and firefighting trucks parades everyday.

Mikaela Bogard

This place was AMAZING! Emacualte beaches, seriously the cleanest beaches we've ever been to. The water was clear and lots of fun little sea shells. The staff is very knowledgeable about history and places to camp. The campground was beautiful with clean showers. Loved that we got to have a fire pit in an almost jungle setting. Prices to camp were very reasonable too! Will definatly be back.

Christine Wolcott

So beautiful! Family friendly and so much to do.

Vyvette Mossman

Beautiful!!! We stayed here for 2 weeks & I didn't want to leave!!! Camp hosts were great & the staff was very friendly.

Lori V

Nice place with good rates. Even the wildlife come to visit..

Peter Heydorn

Ft Stevens great site for camping: Visited in June 2019 and the camping was great. Overall decent space between sties and showers and toilets were clean and close by. There is one playground and many walking trails nearby. The only thing is that if you go to the beach from the campsite it's quite a walk if you don't want to drive, but walk is nice off the main road and on walking path. Would come back with family again.

Larry arnold

Sweet campground, can fill up so make early reservations!

Cecelia Henderson

A broad firm sandy beach....plenty of room for activities from flying kites to sunbathing or playing with you fur babies! The old shipwreck and history is interesting also.

Cyndi Hicks Nobles

Love coming here! Have done several day trips & camped overnight several times! Always enjoyable!

donald richard

Fort Stevens is a great place to Camp make sure that you make reservations well in advance or you won't get a spot

Dan Himes

Nice park, needs better drainage from all the rain. The Fort itself is more than worth the trip! Take the truck tour!. Nice beaches though. I recommend a visit.

Megan Hanscom

If you like big busy campgrounds surrounded by things to do, this is the place for you. Fun community feel, really beautiful trails right from camp. Good for hiking or biking. There are designated trails just for hikes too. Easy access to the beach. Fun historical things to explore. You could easily spend several days here at one camp ground. Would definitly come back.

Mariko Nicoletti

this state park entertain s you! so many things to do. We definitely come back here during summer.

Tyler Wilson

Fun place. Lots of stuff to do. Went with the family. Kids didn't get bored. 5/7 would recommend.

Kelli M

My husband and I came to Ft Stevens to see a piece of history. We parked in the designated $5 parking area, looked around at all of the cool sites, then got in our car to leave. On our way out we saw a few more places to look at. There was a sign that said “Do not block the road. 10 minute parking”. We pulled OFF the road and parked (as to not block anyone) just to briefly go in and see what the building looked like from the inside. We just walked in and the tour truck pulls around and the driver yelled out his window to us. My husband tried to walk over to talk to him and the driver yelled “Move that car!” He did this with a full load of people in the truck. Again, we were not parked on the road and we had only been there about 2 minutes. It made us feel like we had done something wrong and it was embarrassing. That kind of tainted our experience, unfortunately.

Jon Howard

Supper fun place lots to do cabins and yurts and rv tent places and military history

Valerie Gerry

Love, love this place! Lots of bunkers, tunnels and cannons to climb on. Lots of camping. The views are beautiful and the beach is one of my favorites!

Christopher McManus

Wish we had more time dedicated to this portion of our trip. Well kept, clean, and so much to do!

1RadiantNature

First time n thoroughly enjoyed my photo expedition. The old shipwreck is the highlight, nice Sandy beach

Bobbi Rittenhouse

We love this park . So many trails and miles of beach

Brian Rockwell

Great place to camp. There is a lot to do around the camp. You have the old fort and are close to Seaside and Cannon Beach. Sandy beaches for miles and great trails to bike or walk.

Christine Bryant

Very nice campground. Lots of space. Get reservations in early. The hike to the Peter Iredale is fascinating. This is the remains of a ship that ran aground years ago and yet its still there. Warrington has a Costco. Astoria has a great fish & chips place on the docks. The Goonies house is in Astoria on a hill for all you Goonies lovers.

David Carnahan

This is an incredible campground! It's close to everything that matters. Hosts are friendly and helpful! I'd highly recommend it!

Caleb G.

That ship on the beach is one of a kind. Besides all the other beached ships but still.

S M

Incredible Oregon state park large campground areas and access to the beach. We spent a couple hours here looking at the wreck and walking along the beach beautiful.

Cody Duthoy

Camping was great! Clean restrooms and showers. Giant campground with a lot of beautiful beach to explore.

Noah W

Fort Stevens State Park is awesome. There are a ton of camp sites for both hikers, cyclists, and those with tents or RV's. There are kids play structures, walking and bicycling paths, and you are really close to the beach. If you get time, head north to the artillery batteries for some cool history.

Randy Parsons

Love the park. The shipwreck is an amazing sight to see. Pacific coast is beautiful. Definitely worth a stop at the beach.

1000ena Venaj

Beutiful place, lots of things to explore... we enjoy a beutiful sunset, the ruins ( the old military fort) we where there for two nights, but next time we'll go for at list a week to have the opportunity to explore more at the park, and the town.

Scott H

Very busy park. Did not stay long. It is geared more towards those camping and lodging in the area. Beautiful view of the ocean!

J Borden

Such a beautiful place to hike

Abe B

We rented a yurt over the weekend, and just wow. The community of yurts are simply gorgeous and felt like a village. The other campers were extremely friendly and welcoming. It's an absolutely wonderful campground all around.

Tanner Manwaring

Oregon State parks are amazing. Great and clean faciltues, loads of camp spots, and awesome trails and bike trails! Beach is close and super fun to see.

Steven Bell

Beautiful park on the ocean. Hiking, biking, walking the beach or sitting back in the shaded campsites this park has it all. Well maintained park that I would highly recommend.

Bella Martin

We have came here to camp since I was a kid. Great helpful staff and amazing hiking trails that go by the old parts of the fort and surrounding forests. Can get quite busy though during the summer and when there are festivals.

John Peppard

Good place for family camping trip. Something for everyone no matter what age

Jrose Guzman

Absolutely enjoy this area. It’s our third time going and we love to fish here. Bathrooms, picnic area with tables. Beautiful scenery. We went on a cloudy day. Seen a bald eagle. Camping locations near by and a market. Swimming and hiking. Lots too see and the beach is not to far either.

Ivan Sultan

I go to Ft. Stevens every chance I get. It is a beautiful beach for a run or a sunset stroll. When the wind is right it is a great place for kiting or kite surfing and it sometimes has decent surf conditions. It is also a great place for a bonfire on the beach with friends. There is a local elk herd so watch your speed on the roads. The State police also like to patrol out there so take it easy. This is also a good place for a bike ride or a run on the paved paths and you can check out the historical area as well.

Jonathan Graham

Great park, see a old dilatory base, shipwreck, military museum. There is also great camping with tent sites, yurts and cabins. They have camp showers as well. This park has great beach access and even a couple places to go fishing. It is a large park that is mainly flat so great for bike riding with younger children.as well.

souljaphotos

Another interesting stop, historical landmarks and so many birds to view! Nice clean park, very beautiful!! Would love to come again!

Salih Kuloglu

It is a nice place. I liked it there. But, The yurts can be better and cleaner.

Tony Norton

A very beautiful park. It's interesting to see the wreckage of the Peter Iredale ship as we visit the park each year. There are some great sites to visit including the battery which a defensive structure built for defense in WW2. There are many great trails to walk or ride bicycles. We some elk feeding in the pak this last time. They just grazed as long as we posed no threat. A grat place to take the family. They also have Yurts available for camping in the park.

diane barone

A lot of the Fortress still around to go see but should go on a tour it would be easier than walking at all

ken ryan

Nice state park. Generous park areas for camping. Nice bike trails and easy beach access

Ron Margheim

If you have children or grandchildren, this is a great place. Lots of activities to keep them occupied. It's as large as a city but was quiet and peaceful at night!

David Burns

A historic park. Served as a fort during the civil war. In world war 2, this is the only place in the lower 48 states that got bombed by the Japanese. Great campground, beach, hiking and biking trails.

Anthony Scala

Love the park and driving down to the beach to relax with the family. It's nice to be able to have our vehicle right there with kids!

Erica Martin

Nice, forested camping location. Park staff were helpful and restrooms were clean.

Jeff Warnock

One of the places in Oregon you can drive a long way on the beach. A really nice place to visit. There are even remains of a shipwreck poking out of the north end of the beach. The fort itself is worth checking out. It's got a bit of a eerie vibe.

Brandy Bacon

Perfect place for family and friends to frolic. I enjoyed the wreck helps us remember that things always change.

James McIntyre

This takes in a very big area. A hole lot of things to see an do. 19mi.of beach old ship wreck. You can drive on the beach if you have the wheels. The Columbia river Emptys into the Pacific miles long jetty.roads,trails,camping. And a fort... just out side of Astoria.

Debbie Ford

Great park would definitely stay here again. Lots of things to do while you during your stay.

Bryan Mulvaney

This park contains one of the best locations for a sunset in the wirld. It is a bit windy, but hey its the most northwestern point in Oregon at the mouth of the mighty Columbia River. There's a tower you can climb and get sublime images as the sun sinks on the horizon!! Just an ultra-awesome spot to visit on any road trip!

Joni Alexander

Very nice park has everything you need to do and clean

Kamille L

Nice park with monuments and reaction. Hiking trails are easy to follow and you typically see deer and/or elk.

david s

We went to play the new disc golf course. We really enjoyed the fort and the history as we wandered through the holes. It's beautiful, running right along the Columbia river. The course was pretty good as well; fairly open on most holes but the fort sights really made a great difference. $5 for the whole vehicle all day.

Cassandra Cameron

The shipwreck has been slowly disappearing for years. Right now there's only a small bit of it left. Eventually we will visit again and there will only be a few pylons sticking out of the sand. You should really come see this while there is some of the wreck left standing. The surrounding beach is peaceful, especially during sunset.

Fanwyll

Costs about 15 for an all day pass to all of the state parks but sooo worth it! Amazing history, tremendous views of nature, great hiking, walking trails.

Kassia Kountz

Beautiful views and clean facilities. Really enjoyed the underground tour!

Ellina Chernobilsky

Quiet, serene, clean. There is a lot to learn or if you do not feel like visiting with history, lots of nice places to walk, bike.

Victoria Robinson

Informative and interesting. This fort has stories to tell from Civil War to WW2 time. You can walk through the grounds seeing the many components to the fort. The battery, bunkers, where the commissary and church were and many other components. There is a little museum with memorabilia and a well done historical video.

Maggie Colletti

This is a huge campground, and it shows. Restrooms are hit or miss, the ones on D loop are awful. The playgrounds are decent. Rangers are friendly and courteous, and the camp hosts are visible, driving around each night with firewood for purchase. Internet access is nonexistent, as is antenna tv.

Joe Everton

This is a fantastic park, with lots of natural areas, plus interesting historic sites. Sadly the sites are finally breaking down in some places, and there is much more graffiti than I remember there being just 10 years ago. Still a great place to camp or visit.

nuts and bolts photography

Lots of stuff to do here. The beach, the forts, the camping, trails, and more. Nice big park. We’ve done yurt camping a few times. And there’s the cool shipwreck on the beach.

Celena Markham

Was alright except the trash was hard to find. Also we had a couple next to us that were mad we we're having fun. Before quiet hours.otherwise clean and avail hookup sight

Matthew Adams

I love coming here with my family to camp. It's just so beautiful with so many things to go see nearby. The campsites are great and the facilities are well maintained, and there are several camp hosts that are all helpful and pleasant.

Athena Williams

Excellent park. Friendly staff. Tight camping though. Beautiful scenery at the viewing tower and the far north beach access areas. Easy access to the ship wreck. There were little jellies on the beach, but just washed back out to the sea with the tide.

Emilie Nielsen

Beautiful park with easy beach access. Fun for the whole family!

yovela chen

One of the best beaches I ever seen. If visiting Oregon, this is a must visit beach. Suggest start from the shipwreck spot.

Justin Glenn

Great view of the Columbia river, just the place if you want to take your family out for a picnic.

Chuck Finley

A beautiful place to spend any amount of time! There's lots to do and experience. There's miles of bike/walking trails, old military/historical areas, and miles of beaches, all within walking distance of the campground. The campsite itself is an incredible place to stay, as it's always clean and nice, with plenty of amenities to ease your experience. The local environment tends towards a more cool temperature, but on the right day, the beaches are a great way to experience the sun. You're also very close to many breweries, restaurants, and cities to visit, providing a thoroughly rounded vacation. Overall, an amazing place that I've never had a negative experience with.

Noel PDX

Beautiful state park. Close to the Marinas, straight shot to Buoy 10, trout fishing, hiking, Biking, the Beach and river access. Large camping spots, yurts, Dog friendly.

M. Rogers

Ft. Stevens Disc Golf Course - Located between Battery Pratt and Battery Smur, on the Columbia River inlet, it is a short 9-hole course. Once we located hole 1, we were great. The disc golf course does not play through the historical site - it plays off to the far left of the site, as exiting the Friends of Old Fort Stevens museum. It is clean, the brush is easy enough to walk through. There is a constant low-level breeze on dry, sunny days, due to its coastal location. There are restrooms, a bit of a walk from the opposite side of the museum, but they are clean.

Kayla Holloway

Very spacious, nice facilities, good security and wonderful trails to hike, bike or walk. We will be going back for future camping.

Joey Wood

Absolutely amazing, America is just amazing. Oh and dont be afraid to set on the cannon fellas

Janet Talbott

I love history this place was perfect for me, But the location gave you great photographic opportunities

michael Astley

Awesome place, love history of local events. Definitely a must visit if you like war time history

James Houdyshell

Really enjoyed this park we went clam digging. It was my first time clamming got my limit of razor clams. The park is very clean and beautiful. I will definitely go here again.

Michelle Shipman

Camp spots and area is clean. Not real noisy after dark. Lots of things to do for everyone of all ages. The shipwreck is cool

Rebekah Long

Great disc golf course running through portions of the historical site. Currently has 9 holes, but they're wanting to add more. That would be amazing; It's a great way to showcase the ruins. Rangers and employees all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Will continue to visit again and again. There is always something to discover.

T. G.B.

What a wonderful find for our “no plans, no reservations” vacation. The park fit our 38’ 5th wheel without problems. When we checked in the staff was super pleasant and once he found out we had never been showed us all the good stopping points at this park. We couldn’t have been more pleased or comfortable! Firewood delivery at our door and all staff members were very pleasant. Grounds are well taken care of and maintained. Would recommend to anyone traveling along the coast for an overnight or full week.

Joe W

Great historical location, if you like military history. Right on the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean. Got to check out the old ship wreck!

Chance DeSmet

Fort Steven's state park is a jewel in the north western Oregon crown. A camping destination boasting great rates, beautiful scenery, and excellent lots, this is a must visit for everyone from young families to old friend's get togethers. With miles of walking trails and great eateries nearby, all sorts of great times and great menories can be had here.

Jeff Curtis

Not the same since they barred the civil war reenactors....... petty state bureaucrats with too much unchecked authority have turned this once 5 star place into a 3 star one......pity that.

Magi Hicks

This was my 3rd visit and I have enjoyed it each and every time. There is so much to see & learn!

Quill Nightshade

The beach was brilliant and the shipwreck just a bit haunting. Loved it.

Jeff Swanson

Great views of the Columbia River. Great bicycling trails. Awesome 9 home disc golf course

Matt Sipe

It says I visited here 2 months ago which is funny because I have distant, wonderful memories of the place years ago, haha.

Robert Omstead

Great time, Great park, neat and clean everything worked. A adult female Elk came walking through our camp site and attracted a lot of kids. Very wonderful time we will be back.

Michele McDermid

Fort Stevens State Park campground manages to stay beautiful even though it is highly popular. This is one of the best campgrounds out there.

Jeremy David Scamman

Really fun place to visit when i was younger i would play capture the flag at the fort.

Linda Ricciardi

Beautiful park with very spacious and semi-private campsites. Lots of trails for biking and hiking. Plus you have alot of beach to walk on. One of my favorite places in Oregon.

Rachel Wegner

Great vacation stop! So much history! We spent the whole morning and early afternoon looking around, taking the truck tour, and walking through the underground section with the tour guide. Amazing history from the civil war to ww2. The are also lots of hiking possibilities with even more to see. The cabins are great and the beach is super fun to have nearby.

Gordy Bell

Sprawling coastal artillery fort, with several different artillery pieces, guided tours and museum. Dog-friendly.,

Jennifer Austin

Loved this beach! You can drive on the beach and have a picnic. Weather was great when we were there and it was so peaceful, as it was not overcrowded.

Kevin Hensley

Staff really helped me out when we realized the site I thought i reserved was too small. Loop N had very well attended bathrooms, loop O, not so much. Shout to to David, a big help! Great place to have a campground.

Danita Marlow

Very nice campground lots to see and do. Family orientated.

Katt Bernu

This is a really neat place! It has a great location near the beach, there are a ton of camping options, and lots of cool little places to go visit with some pretty nice trail systems! Most of the bathrooms were really clean too although some were out of toilet paper but it was basically full the weekend I was here. I'd recommend bringing a bike to get around as it can be a little far to walk if you're in one of the southern loops. The campsites are pretty nice but since there are a lot and close together it can make for a little combat camping. Still a nice evening and day spent exploring the park!

Its Sofa Lofa

fun time and will still go back. just wish the kept better maintence on the horse trails & hiking trails that are not paved.

Shelly Farm

Very organized very quiet well-maintained bathrooms are adequate but we had to move our camp a few times and we could have stayed in the closer vicinity as to our reservation was lost you are already charged for two cars when we had one but that's the Rangers office or raw love to Camp here is my favorite spot we've been camping here for 20 years

Storm Brown

Beautiful State Park with miles of beaches and and great campsites, RV hookups, cabins and yurts.

Berniece Harlan

Great place to visit and see what's happening with the ship as time goes by.

Daniel Ring

Lovely and peaceful getaway with great facilities for family comfort. The lake is well stocked for fishing with docks near the parking lots. There is a small boat launch ramp at the entry parking lot. Many picnic tables near the parking lots in beautiful settings. Miles of paved a nd we'll maintained bicycle paths will not dissapoint. A pleasant section of ocean beach is accessible and has convenient parking. Be careful to check things out before considering driving through the ocean beach access road. It can be very easy to get stuck in the dry, loose sand and the conditions vary a lot. .section

Regina Mielke

The campground it very tightly congested. It's like camping on a postage stamp. The worst part was the fact that they decided to place the bathrooms at the end of the Loop so it is shared by another loop. This leads to not only long lines at times but also makes for a very long walk especially in the middle of the night in the dark. On the park maps the bathroom placement is not accurate so be aware your campsite might be much farther than you expect. They should at least put in a porta potty or 2. Ft. Stevens is now referred to in our family as Ft hike to pee! We won't be back.

Amazing stay; showers were probably the best I've ever seen at a camping/rv park. Lots of different spots to pick from either in the shade or sun and old a block away from the coast where there was a really cool boat wreck right on the beach that you could explore highly recommend

The Random King

Literally my favorite place in the world. Great place to camp. People come from US and Canada often because its such a great place. It has a playground, tourist attractions, and plenty of camping spots

Fun places to go to here. They have camping with activities for the kids and plenty of site seeing opportunities and walking trails
