My family very much enjoys the local lake. The park the restaurants the workout equipment the walking trail and bike path the ball park and the dog park the boats all make it a family place to be. Grills and picnic tables available. Always something to do. Very welcoming.

This used to be a really nice park and I see them adding new stuff. But there is a slide in the playground that's just been boarded up because it's busted instead of repaired or replaced. It's also been covered in trash the last few times I was there and extremely crowded. Not my favorite park.

Stars and Stripes Park is on Lake Heffner. It's beautiful there any time of day. We decided to pick up tamales and enjoy lunch in the park. Local geese and water fowl drew near in hopes of handouts. There are trails, a path to the lighthouse, picnic areas and places for children to play. Highly recommend.

I used to love taking my kids here to play. However, the police rarely patrol here anymore and it has had a rougher feel the last couple of times we have been there. Makes me sad because it is so pretty being right at the water but when I'm having to keep my kids away from whole parts of the play area because of people bumping loud vulgar music from their cars and smoking enough weed that you get a contact high from 25 feet away it's not a place for us. Wish police would patro this park more to bring it back to what it was.

Beautiful park with nice amenities. The water is beautiful, there were a ton of birds, but interestingly enough not a lot of bird poo all over the place. I didn't use the trail which circumvents the lake, but I've heard plenty of great things about it. Very active with picnics, kids playing, kayaking, cycling, running, fishing and people skateboarding all very respectful of each other. I'll definitely be coming around here again.

This is a great park, bike trails, fishing, places for picnic, simple fun the whole family will love. Close by you can even learn to sail for less then anywhere in the country. Stars and Stripes Park in on Lake Hefner Oklahoma City Ok.

This is a fantastic park, and it is great for all ages. There is plenty of space to play field games. There are running trails and playgrounds. There is also a great pond with ducks one can visit on calm afternoons. I've spent many hours reading here, doing homework outside, and going for walks on the trails. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Dinky little park, but it's beautiful, and if you're coming from south of Lake Hefner, this is a great place to park if you want to run around the lake. There are a ton of ducks, geese, and other birds, and it can get a little breezy by the lake, but this is one of the best places to run in all of OKC. It's roughly 10 miles around the lake (more if you follow along all the lake's inlets)...and there are a few water fountains you can find on the way.

Stars and Stripes Park at Lake Hefner is a wonderful place to go for outdoor activities. There are plenty of BBQ grills and tables, a large playground, walking trails and volleyball nets. We usually go in the evening to BBQ and walk on the trails. The trails are paved, which is great for persons using a cane or wheelchair. Family friendly. Wonderful photo opportunities and even a lot of "birdie conventions"!

This is my favourite place to go for a walk to reflect, and I ride the bike path here at least once a week. It's a 9.1 mile loop that's beautiful all the way around.

I used to play at this park when I was a kid. It has gone through such amazing improvements!!! I love taking my kids there to play!!! So much for then to do and explore. I also love that it still has the spaceship like when I was a kid!!

Did not go to the playground part of stars in strips (although I remember going when I was young and it was very cool!). I went with some friends to check out the new skate park I heard was out there. It's a nice little park I have to say. Even though I dont skateboard anymore it is a nice little spot to test the top speed of high powered RC cars!!

We went on a Saturday in the middle of July. I was expecting to have problems finding a bbq since we arrived late afternoon. But the park is pretty big and has lots and lots of tables and bbq's. Everyone was nice and the kids were all well mannered. The park is for kids of all ages, with updated play equipment. They have a skatepark that is for all ages and skill levels. There is also a memorial at the park but I will have to check it out next time

Stars and Stripes park is excellent. The is beside the lake Hefner. You can see the beautiful sunset from the lake shore. There is play ground for kids, shelter for picnic, bench, and bbq grill spot. It is a nice place for walking or running. There are lots of ducks in this park, kids will definitely love that. There is also fishing points to catch bass, walleye, catfish, crappie and others.

We love it here. Our dogs enjoyed it. Our kids had to play on every single jungle gym. Plenty to do for the little ones and bigger ones. We grilled and ate and walked around the path, then ended the night by going out by the flag pole. Our favorite park in the city, for sure.

This is a wonderful park right on the south-side waterfront of Lake Hefner. The play equipment is top notch, very colorful, and there's even a skate park for those who are interested. It's currently got some construction going on, so I'm sure it will be even nicer after the construction is completed.

Nice big playground with plenty of room for kids to run around. Slides, swings, single basketball goal, grills, picnic tables including a covered picnic area. There are restrooms I believe but I didn't go inside. Close to the water and there is also a small skate park area

Park is absolutely disgusting. There is more trash on the ground and floating in the lake than there is in the cans strewn all over the park. Nobody cares to pick up after themselves. Plenty of trails that make it nice for some exercise, the Eisenhower memorial area is falling apart and has been neglected as well. Not worth the stop.

I've been going there to skate, they have a nice path and a decent sized slab of concrete that's pretty smooth to skate on. I have around 5 people that I skate with, we have never been bothered by anyone, which is a big plus. Since I go at night, it's a little dark. It looks there's a light that burned out by the area of the park that I skate in. They are working on a skate park, once it opens it'll be great! I just hope it's well lit because being able to see at night would be cool. The actual park part with like swings and stuff is cool too. I've been there during the day to fly kites with my girlfriend and it was pretty cool. Nice view of the lake.

Love this place. I really like the walking trails that take you away from the main path. No need to worry about the bicycles zooming past you. My dog Bear can't get enough of this place. So many smells and squirrels and rabbits. He just loves it! The skate park was a brilliant move. If only there were these back in my day, we wouldn't have been thrashing all over town. Lol.

I have been coming to this park for 40 years i now take my great grand son there. It has all kinds of fun things to do. Basketball, the lake hiking/walking trails, cooking out, a place for birthdays, weddings, reunions if you want to reserve a place, a new playground. I would check this place out if I was you.

We were there for our Grandaughter's softball tournament on Monday. They were the worst fields we have ever played at. The biggest problem was no shade in the dugouts for the kids. The seating was minimal and there was no shaded area for spectators. Also, the closet restroom facilities were portables located by the fields. To have teams in town from several different States...this facility should be a disgrace to the City of Oklahoma.
