If you want to see a Bison this is a safe place to accomplish that feat. They do however roam wherever they want and are not always here to view. The trail that goes by the fence is one big 3 mile loop called the buffalo trail. It is great for walking but if you would rather walk on a sidewalk they have one around veterans lake that is really nice. Also the tail leaves the bison enclosure so if your here to see them don't leave this area. On the up side they are here a lot.

Used to go quite often years ago never saw a buffalo luckily this time we saw a buffalo

The park is beautiful, but no bison could be seen from the viewpoint.

It's a nice place but we didn't see any bison at the time we came (around 5). They were probably resting somewhere and might have come out earlier, we just don't know. You can park your vehicle here and walk all the way upto the Visitor Center, and it's a nice walk, as long as it isnt raining.

Great place to stretch your legs. Lots of shade thanks to the trees.

Awesome stop on our way to the Chickasaw Retreat and Conference center. We pulled over and go to see the bears of buffalo! They had lots of room to roam and graze. They were so majestic and the calves were romping around playing!

This area is beautiful. Shaded, beautiful pathway to go see the Buffalo. I took plenty of pictures of this beautiful path. Then you can walk right up to the fence that contains them. I loved it.
