Absolutely horrific, goose poop all over the beach and yard, trash on beach, the picnic area was ok, seeing the disappointment on my kids faces from not being able to play and swim was awful! No swings on the frames! Complete mess, we live super close and really hope and pray someone takes over to make this place beautiful like it should be! Worst state park we've ever visited!

Love the place but I would recommend that they tear down the bathrooms and bring them up to date. Looks like a dungeon and they smell something awful

Put our kayaks in at sunrise. Some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever taken. Didn't get any bites but my husband caught 4 bass. Lovely place

This lake is one of my favorite fishing locations. The water is a little dark but full of life. It is well maintained and always clean. The camp grounds are simple but very pleasant. There is a beech down the hill from the camping area with a shelter house close at hand. When visiting here expect to find all sorts of visitors from kayakers and fisherman to swimmers campers alike. I hope you too will enjoy a visit. I am including a panorama of my favorite fishing local to give you a glimpse.

Beautiful scenery. However the beach is very dirty and covered in duck feces. The rest of the lake is beautiful but the on site grill is junk, and the picnic areas are a mess. I hope someone takes over and invest time to really help this place reach its full potential

Crossed it off the list as a possibility to take my grandchildren swimming. The Lilly pads make it very dangerous. However it does have a nice shelter house and offers a lot of area for fishing.

Clean, quiet and not crowded. Would be a great venue for a family picnic or Holiday gathering. I didn't see water fountains, so bring some water.

This is a small state park located just outside Oak Hill that offers fishing and camping (has space available for both RVs and tents), and has several outdoor eating areas and grills, as well as a beach and playground equipment for the kids. Longtime area business, Lakeview Grocery, is conveniently located on the lake for bait and tackle needs.

Great quiet lake located in South Eastern Ohio...known for its Crappie and Bass however the occasional muskellunge and bowfin are landed in the boat during an outing at Jackson Lake. There's numerous stumps and lay downs throughout the lake however the best overall structure would be the Lily pad fields. Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits along with other top water type baits are essential at this lake. 10 hp limit, but you can use and put you big motor boats on the lake but you are utilizing the TROLLING MOTOR ONLY at this point...just be careful crossing under the bridge, you just might have to remove your front seat from its position.
