Staff was great, attentive, and kept the place free of trash and clutter. Slides are maintained well, and walkway boards are in decent condition. All boats and pabbleboards were in good condition and easy to access. Excellent facility. Could use some changing rooms separate from the toilets (not just the toilet stalls).

My whole family Loved it! Wasn't very crowded. We rented a cabana and it was totally worth it. We really had a great time. Would love to return before the summer ends.

The plus side it has a big body of water. You can swim if that's what you want to do. The negative is if you go to do the Tarzan swings, drop slides, high dive or any other "ride" you now have strict rules about where you have to wait, you can't be with your kids or group of friends. I understand safety but they have taken the fun out of going here. And I have been going to Fantasy Lake since I was a kid and now I am taking my kids. My kids are teenagers and love the water and have no desire to go back. Not to mention the $16.00 price tag per person kind of sucks to begin with.

Nice park. But $20 you would think air would be free for the floats. Also its not fair that you cant bring camping propain grill in but u can bring charcoal. Not everyone can eat food cooked with charcoal. Had to leave early just so my family could eat after driving an hour and half to visit the park

Terrible. We came years ago and it was so much fun! Now you can not even be in the water while someone was on a ladder, safety is a logical concern but not to this point, my 2 year old son was not allowed to go down a slide with me and had so by him self were he got stuck and lifeguards had to go get him. Lifeguards go on break every 2 hours and force you to sit in the heat, I work at Walmart we rotate breaks not shut down the store when we go on break. Years ago, 5 star for sure. Now. Wish I could do 0 stars. Also lifeguards are mean.

Just remember that it starts closing down stations at 5:30 pm and clear out the water at 5:45 pm. Also remember to review the entrance fees for the different ages you have with you. 20 dollars for adults

Awesome water park located Hope Mills, NC. with a kids section that will keep them amused for the time your there. They also have a deli that serves drinks, snacks, hotdogs, hamburgers and also Zaxby's sliders. Fun for everyone!!

Their website said they would be open today, so we drove over an hour to get here, just so that we could see no water and a lot of concrete and turn around to go home. I am livid. I check the website, turns out they updated it to let everyone know they would not be open for Memorial Day weekend. Before posting the open dates for the season, they should’ve reviewed holidays to determine if they would be open or not. Instead, they last minute changed their mind and wasted us, and another family that showed up around the same time, a whole trip.

I want Fantasy Lake how it used to be without all these crazy rules people can’t have any fun anymore! I get that the lifeguards have a safety concern but five or six years ago safety was a concern and it was just as safe and so much more fun!!! The lifeguards are mean and do not treat people fairly. Yes that line rule about waiting on the side for your turn is baloney! It’s like this place is ran around the lifeguard schedule instead of actually having fun and getting your moneys worth everyone has to get out of the water around 11:15 on account of all the lifeguards are going on break and then you have to wait because they go on breaks every two hours if you’re in a line you have to sit there and wait for the lifeguards to rotate out when it’s just a big inconvenience is no way that they need to take a break every two hours if they require that much high maintenance they need to look for another job . This fantasy park just isn’t fun and I hate to say that but it’s not. Even on some of these reviews were people have left some not so hot reviews for fantasy Lake and get response back from owner and he or she sounds like such a rude person. I never read where they said your next visit will be enjoyableinstead it’s lack of care in reply that’s all I read I know this place needs new management and less signs somebody who can make it fun again!!!

This Hope Mills water park is very disgusting. The people are disgusting also. If you’re a minority do not go here, they’ll accuse you of smoking marijuana and kick you out and won’t give your money back. The owner acts as if she is filthy rich and hates middle class people, within a week of going she accused my and my friends of bringing alcohol into the lake, smoking marijuana beforehand, and touching little children. The owner is a disgusting piece of white trash.

We drive from Myrtle Beach SC to Fantasy Lakes every summer!! We try to come at the least once, maybe twice a summer! We enjoy it every time!!! The absolute only thing I hate about it is my husband does not get on ANYTHING at all. He barely gets in the water to sit on the swings and we have to pay $16 for him. He just doesn’t like to do water stuff. But of course we understand to walk in you have to pay.

Our 1st visit and It was awesome!!! Guards are strict and very respectful but I'd rather that than kids getting hurt. I felt like they were truly doing there jobs and trained thoroughly. All 7 of my kids and 2 neices loved it and want to make an annual trip out of it.

Lots of things to do. There are paddle boards, pedal boats, kiddie land which they just added floats for the the kids to use, Tarzan swings, drop slides, they have two other slides and a jump tower. The park is very clean. There is no trash in or around the lake. And the lake is emptied every year and refilled so the water is very clean. The rules seem pretty strict. But they are in place to look out for our safety. (Jeff the waterpark you must be talking about is not fantasy lake. They do not have trampolines)

We did a birthday party package, rain clouds were moving in , they told us we had to get out of the water because the life guards were going on break. An hour later they were all cleaning up doing their shut down routine, one guard honestly said they were probably closing because they aren't allowed to let people swim when storm clouds with possible lightning were within 20 miles, that's fine but no one announced it and people started leaving. You'd think for people who spent money on a package WOULD have been given some sort of refund or credit.

Spring fed water. Beach everywhere. Picnic/bbq areas all around. Public bathrooms are clean. Lifeguards float around in kayaks. Kids have to take a swim test to prove they can swim unsupervised. Overall very nice place. I will visit again next summer.

Great waterpark fun for the whole family!! Would recommend to repair some of the wooden boards on ramps, etc. I saw several being chipped, nails and pieces of wood sticking out, i hurt myself very bad when i was there, 30 min into our visit. Got caught on one of those nails, walking down the ramp. Also i would have loved to be able to slide with my little one, since he is autistic and often stops in the middle of the slide holding up other people. He doesn't understand that he's not supposed to do that, etc. Otherwise my kids had lots of fun, they didn't want to leave ☺️

This is just plain laid back fun. Rented canopy, tons of water events, BBQ facilities, good fast food, spent 6 hours their. The kids and us were wiped out......but a fun wiped out. Staff is friendly and courteous, lots of life guards. Saw a kid jumping in and she was not acting correctly and the life guard was to her immediately. She was just scared of the water depth. It was Super crowded, but it summer break. Even with that the lake and surrounding beach has tons of space. I'd recommend it highly if you want you and your kids want to make a day if cool summer fun.

Sitting here right now at this place and this is the most boring water park ever... went to play in kid area with our son and was told we couldn't because they didn't have enough lifeguards....7 lifeguards standing in the same area... no slides open because they "don't have enough lifeguards". We went here last week for the first time and it wasn’t worth it. Tickets were expensive, the water was nasty, the slides looked old and like they were about to break, I sat in the sand and something bit my leg???? My daughter had fun, we however did not. Won’t be coming back.

The water is nasty and full of bugs, dirt and moss. The sand is rocky and uncomfortable. Admission is way overpriced. Some of the slides and swings are fun, but I’d rather go to the beach or somewhere that is clean. Definitely wouldn’t call this place a “fantasy.”

My girls used to go to Fantasy Lake every summer several years ago with their gymnastic team. They always had a great time. They went today, after not visiting for 4 years. They didn't enjoy it very much. They especially disliked the park needing to close for staff breaks several times. You should alternate staff so you always have lifeguards available so the park can remain functional. They drove several hours to get there, and the breaks took a good chunk of their day away. They were disappointed that the carefree nature of the park seems to be gone. Sadly, they don't plan on returning again.

Awesome! We visit every summer, occasionally multiple times. Our visits are always pleasant. The staff is very kind. This trip my mom got sick from a toothache. The staff was extremely generous and helpful. They had everything we needed on hand including Ambesol! It was amazing. The lifeguards are alert and always watch out for you. We definitely will continue to visit every year! :)

This place is wonderful for young people or people that don't have worn out knees like I do. Most everything has to be accessed by ladder, I think only one ride is accessible with stairs but you have to use a ladder to get to it or you might be able to walk all the way around the lake to get to the stairs. I would have loved this place when I was 20 or 30 but at 60 I'll just sit on their swings and enjoy the family having fun.

This place is so much fun. A lot of space to relax, a lot of stuff for the kids to play on/jump off of/swing from. The kids area has its own ziplines and ropes to swing from. You just walk up and ask for a kayak or paddle board and you can try them out. The slides are fun too. I like that it's very spread out and lines aren't bad. This is a place you can stay all day & the food is priced well and the chicken sandwiches are delicious!

What a seriois let down. We took our 5 yr old grand daughter today. After spending 50.00 to get us in, 70.00 for an umbrella and chairs, 30.00 on lunch, 20.00 on toys and a float, we were forced to leave after 1 HR and 15 minutes due to a storm. We we're told had we arrived 15 minutes earlier than we did, we could have gotten a refund. You can't even sit at a picnic table unless you pay to sit there!!! We spent a total of 40 minutes in the water due to the storm and lifeguard breaks. We will never go again... And the food was all processed, the tomatoes were so soggy til they fell apart when we touched them, we all ended up with a serious stomach ache with vomiting and diarrhea!!!

Only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my daughter & I went down the green water slides an it was really bumpy and hurt our backs a little so they could update those & make them not so rough. An the slim women Lifeguards bathing suit bottoms could've been a little more appropriate and not have their butts almost out. An update their life jackets also to where they aren't choking the kids almost when they jump in the water to swim. But other than that this place is SO MUCH WAY better than Waldos Beach Lake

Really fantastic water park! We were visiting from the Boston area (my husband grew up in Fayetteville and his parents still live here). We found the park really clean and the staff very friendly. We went on a Tuesday before July 4th and there were no lines, and the park was not very crowded at all.

Our family enjoyed it,my only problem was the lifeguards. .seemed like every 5 minutes they would scorn us for something we done wrong. And my daughter is 14 but is short, lifeguards refused to let my daughter on the dock because they thought she was too young. We drove all the way from sc and paid $80 and my kids were constantly harassed by lifeguards. I understand its for safety but my goodness let a kid have fun. Too many rules. Other than that we really enjoyed the place but i think we'll stick to our local lake next year.

Very fun but they need to clean their water. I got sick as a child when I swallowed some water by accident. A better cleaning system is needed, but other than that very fun. It's best to go at the beginning of the summer.

A fantastic gem in Hope Mills. We buy season passes for our family. They have tables and charcoal BBQ grills throughout the park. Bathrooms and water fountains are nice. They have a little snack bar there where you can purchase hotdogs,burgers, fruit, Gatorade and more. You can purchase floats or bring your own. Giant Jenga, cornhole,shuffle boards... This is a chemically treated man made....no critters!!

Went last week for the first time. The line to get in was quite slow since they only had one of three windows open. Throughout the day, they made everyone get out of the lake for the lifeguards to take a break, which just seemed like bad planning. Other than that, I thought the place was great, add did the other five people with me. There were four adults and two children and we all had an awesome time. My wife would have liked the water to be cooler, but I loved the warm temperature of the lake water.

Stayed for the entire day. The staff were considerate and kind, they had to take a 15 minute break every 2 hours. But that wasn't too bad, they had plenty of non-water activities. My little sisters and i had a blast! Would definitely recommend!

Park was nice and clean. There are only 2 smoking areas at either end of the beach, under the brown umbrellas. There is a small section that is wooded and has picnic benches and charcoal grills. It has a forest feel. The beach area has no shade at all. You may bring your own shade "apparatus" or rent one and chairs. There are 3 water slides and 2 rope swings, each of varying difficulty, 2 water volley ball courts, kayak/waterboard/float rentals, a food counter, showers, and bathrooms. The life guards take 15 minute breaks every couple of hours, during which they clear everyone out of the water. There is also a large kiddie pool and 5 bench swings, so you can dangle your legs in the water.

The good: plenty of activities. Short and fast moving lines. 11 and under area was good for kids. The bad: The sand was awful. Hurts your feet. Everyone was complaining about it. If we go back again we may bring aqua shoes. The water was not very clean like they say in other reviews.

I'm giving it 5 stars because my kids (teen and preteen) loved it and want to go back. Lots to do and great for all ages. The downside for me personally, is that I'm not keen on the water color and the price to get in. I wish there was a family package price. Otherwise, happy kids, happy mom lol.

Great fun and excellent lifeguards and crew members. Facilities are definitely acceptable, the rules are reasonable and enforced. I probably would rate this attraction five stars if it had more colors and slightly better food and merchandise. So the only real thing this place is missing is the bells and whistles but I had amazing fun and would definitely go again in the near future!

Great experience! We brought our kids here for a family vacay ages 11, 8, 4, and 2. There is something here for all ages. The lifeguards were very good and paid close attention to the water. Loved the 15 minute breaks because it forced my kids out of the water to rehydrate. It was very hot and the sand got extremely hot. I would recommend swim shoes to help beat the heat. We ate hamburgers and they were very good and worth the $4. They allow you to bring your own coolers and snacks into the park which was great! Wish we lived closer because new would definitely go more often!

I used to come here a lot when I was a kid. Getting abandoned by your parents was the scary part. They knew I wouldn’t go missing so they would go find peace somewhere on the grounds while I could possibly drown somewhere. Used to be overly crowded. I remember a kid peeing in public. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ now I just break into apartment complex pool areas now.

We had a blast!! It was alot of fun and very family friendly.. Life guards are very friendly and attentive.. You willl not find another lake that I know of with all thee activies. Especially for children.. The lake is leveled out.. You feel like ur on and beach. White sand, delicious non expensive food. Trust me feed a family of 5!! Or you can even cook out just bring your own char-coal. The driving distance was alittle much for us 1hr and 45 min but worth it!!!

Took my 2 son's and their friend for a day of fun in the sun. We all had a great time. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Had a great time on the different water slides and swings. We love Fantasy Lake. We get season passes each year and visit often. Their snack bar is reasonably priced, but their rentals are outrageous. Plan to bring your chairs and canopy or umbrella!

Do not ever attend fantasy lake water park. It will be a waste of your time. Everything about this park is so disgusting. The managers and people that work there treat you very poorly and don’t treat you with care. I have been there a few times and will never go there again. Also I witnessed if you are not a certain color they will treat you very poorly and one of the managers treated me with racial slurs.

Kids had fun. They could use a little paint on a few things. The flag poles are very rustie, so easy fixes to make it look nicer. Not a good place for handicap people. 2 spots to get into the water easier however they are both on the ends of the lake. Had to have my kids help me in and out of the water. They need to have tables in the shade near the food court. Bring your own umbrella, not a lot of shade.

I have visited this park for many years and still love it... good clean fun, safe with plenty of lifeguards... has shaded picnic areas with tables and grills and a family season pass is the best way to go if you go often you can't beat the price... swings, slides, sandy beach and can bring your own floats or buy one there and just float around all day... awesome place

Drove up from charleston to spend the day...it was fantastic!!!!! Love that there are no creatures in the water! My husband and middle child were the dare devil's doing all the slides and Tarzan swings...i tried to do the platform jump but chickened out and they let me come back down! My littlest and oldest just loved being able to swim around! Love that they had floats there to buy! We are making this a yearly trip!!!

Awesome, lots of actually thrill seeking slides, swings, and jump towers. They even have an entire part for 12 and under with slides ropes swings ziplines etc. They also have paddle boarding. All of this is included with general admission. This place blows Tucker Lake in Benson out of the water, no pun intended, haha! They have a grilling section that is shaded in a forest setting, a snack bar, it's pricey and not the best food, like getting food from a gas station. You can rent chairs and umbrellas, but also bring your own. You are allowed to bring coolers and food, but no alcohol, they will check! They have security, so no drama or fighting. Great for kids and adults!

Enjoyed going this summer. Love that the little kids can't be on the docks so you don't have to worry about them falling into the deeper water. Tarzan swing, jump tower, big slides, all so much fun. The kiddie side is great as well. Was able to let my kids roam that area (under 10 years old) and not have to worry too much about them. Can't wait to get the season pass for next summer!

Spent the best mothers day weekend here. It was a great time for my six year old and my 9 mo had plenty to do as well. Man made lake but very clean and well maintained bathrooms and friendly staff. Loved it!! Go and try it out

A redneck fantasy! Tarzan swings from a 30 foot tower send you flying out over a man-made lake. Lots of cool slides for adults and an entire section just for little kids. Everything is included in the price for entry including use of stand up paddle boards and kayaks, so it's a great deal. They also have a diving board and a part for just relaxing in a tube.

I'm from NY and I visited my sister in NC for the 1st time this summer. I really wanted to take my kids to Kalahari in the Poconos but my sister said to save my money and let's check out Fanatsy Lake. The pictures online scared me, at first glance it looked like something out of that straight to nothing Johnny Knoxville movie where he built an amusement park. Anyway, it was so so so much fun. We had 2 two year olds, and a 6, 7, 8, and 9 year old. They all had a blast! I had a blast too! The water slides are awesome, and there is something for everyone's swim skill level. So much more fun than I judged it for, I really hope to go back next year. We brought our own food and umbrella which we put in a picnic bench. The staff checks for alcohol when you get there but other than that you can bring whatever you bring to the beach, a popup tent, umbrella, cooler, things like that. The cabana rentals are reasonably priced too if that's your thing (I believe they were about 20bucks and they give you back 10 but I'm not sure). And there are so many lifegaurds and they are all aware and focused, they really make you feel safe. All in all, a great experience.

We had a great time! There's a lot of things to do besides swimming, water slides, rope swings, towers to jump off of, etc. A great family activity. Also, grills to cook on and you can use blow up rafts/tubes. We'll definitely be returning.

Great place. However I do need to share the concern alot of the structures are in need of serious repair. Structures meant to support the amount of weight with people in lines need to have more than 2 nails in support braces.

Hands down one of the best little known water parks in North Carolina! We had a blast!!! The bench we are sitting on in the pic is actually in the water. There is also a replica of the theme park for the younger kids so your toddler or smaller child can enjoy the same water slides and Tarzan ropes but geared towards their heights. You will enjoy this water park at all ages!

Water irritated our skin due to poor use of chemicals and found several condoms in the swimming area. Never going back to this place. Over charged for a nasty environment and refused a refund.

You can bring your cooler in. They don't charge parking. One fee accesses everything. Friendly staff. The park is rugged in a retro Tom Sawyer way. My 9 year old grandson climbed up a vertical wooden ladder to jump from a 20 foot high platform. He loved the place. Big Tarzan swings off 15 foot platforms. SUP area. Smaller kids areas. Four water slides. Two old school slides that terminate 10 feet above the water. The water is treated but murky.
