Wow, it is amazing you can find this green little pearl in the middle of the city. Very relaxed place, more than enough seats and chairs and small stands to buy a drink, an icecream or a Belgian waffle!

Deann Bisciglia

I love this park. It's a great place to linger and people watch. The fountain is small but the sound of the water when your near it is relaxing. The carousel is adorable. The trees are lovely. There are a couple of concessions for coffee or a snack. Just beautiful.

Thomas Kielich

One of the nicer parks in the city. Public restrooms are available. Good luck trying to find a free table and chairs on a nice day though!

Maddy Schiavone

Love this place! People play table tennis, dominoes, chess and also have yoga sessions here! Some have tea with fancy tea chinas they bring from home! It’s a magical little park in the middle of the most chaotic city!

Hayley Thomas

Perfect for going to lunch pre matinee and people watching. I had amazing sliders in the cafe overlooking the lawn and strolled around the park on a gorgeous sunny day. Bring a blanket and layout on the perfectly manicured grass blocks away from Broadway and Times Square.

David Owen

If you are in the center of the city and you want to relax for this loud noise of the city you can go and check this park. It is one of my favorite because there are a lot of street artists who can surprise you with music and other interesting things. Very clean please with a lot of people. Great place for taking pictures.

Angel Daug

I love hanging out at this park. This park offers a place for tourists and locals alike to stretch out on the grass and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are a number of food stalls and food trucks that offer good food and drinks. There are games and even movies showed during the summer time. They also offer activities during the winter season.

David Saperstein

One of the best parks the city has to offer. Great for lunch during the work week. It's very well kept. There's always tons of seating and if you want a change of pace you can always lay on the grass lawn.

Elisa S.

Great place to sit and relax. There are various events held every year throughout all seasons. Always a nice place to check out or walk around if you're in the area.

norman jones

Quiet atmosphere .for chilling out and relaxing. Me and my wife go there often.to take in the view, and people watching.after a nice time out in times square .which is right there, so you don't walk very far,and at night it seems to be pretty safe. You have lighting and some police officers walking around. Overall a good park

Gloria Appleby

Watching a movie at Bryant Park makes me feel good that I am a New Yorker. Meet with friends, have a picnic with good food and drinks, while being entertained in the midst of some amazing tall buildings! It's a beautiful thing!

Elias Fereja

A square Park that a person can see all the corners while standing at a point. In the summer, it is filled with a lot of fun including free movies and book reading. In the winter, it is a place to ice skate and much more

Vic K

A GREAT place to rest or hang out on a beautiful day. Grab something light to eat or drink, and take in the relaxing vibe of Bryant Park in the middle of a bustling city.

Muna Nana

Lovely green spot in the heart of town. Grab a snack or a drink, back in the sunshine and watch the world go by. I love this spot

Ana-Marija Z

One of the most beautiful urban parks ever! The place has such a good energy and lots of things to do, see or experience throughout the year. Or you can just chill, it’s equally rewarding.

Rebecca Pannaman

It's a great park on the back of the library. Always has things going on. Has multiple little shops on site, food and is surrounded by beauty within the city.

I.T.

Great park with nice view, a lot of seats and tables, games and books to read. There are a couple of coffee and snack shops around. People play table tennis as well as other interesting games. There is also a stage in the middle area which is used for some events. A kot of people sit in the grass as well. It's a nice place to spend a lunch break or enjoy the nice weather.

Daniel Santacruz

After Central park, Bryant Park is the best in the city. It is full of people all the time. You will find a lot of street artist, musicians and painters. In the evenings they are playing movies. The park is in the heart of the city so if you want to eat or take something for drink it is going to be just around you. Great place to relax and hang out. Love this place :)

Cathy Packard

his is a great small park in the center of New York City. Great place to stop and rest or talk with friends while sipping a coffee or tea. They’re beautiful gardens and several places to grab a bite to eat or something to drink. It is conveniently located right on the subway line.

Jonathan Wood

Bryant Part is a little bit too popular now, and the lawn is often closed to people using it. Having said that, it does serve as a welcome respite from all the concrete everywhere else in Midtown, and it also has plenty of neat activities and games, not to mention things like summer concerts and movies in the park.

Barbara Raisbeck

Spent a relaxing hour away from New York hub bub and had a beer at the bar. Loved it. The best for people watching.

Ed F.

This is a really nice urban family park setting. Bring a take out lunch and sit at one of the hundreds of tables. Young kids will love playing on the grass. Well worth a visit.

Emmanuel Lawrence

We stumbled upon a live Ice Skating Show hosted by Johnny Weir. The space had outside and inside vendors with various foods and drinks. You could have adult beverages inside and enjoy hot chocolate outside. Additionally, the park had plenty of charging ports available for those all important mobile device. It simply a fall oasis.

Sandip Mehra

Bryant park is a must go to place, closer in the city. Small shops around gives a good vibes and small escape place. Any season they always have something or other going on. Great place for both family and friends, with table tennis, open air games and much much more.

isabel Danielak

Bryant Park is such a diversity to walk around and just enjoy a day out! We were there in the fall, again in winter where it’s beautiful for the holidays & just enjoyed all the small shops, sitting on a bench people watching or watching the kids have fun in the ice. Love that it’s less crowded than Central Park but just as nice in my opinion.

L F

We spend time to take a break at Bryant park on a Saturday while having coffee and great pastry. They had table games and fun things to do.

Tisha Monique

Bryant park is a cool place to sit and have lunch on a nice day, or to people watch. They have seats with little tables, and they sometimes have free events to enjoy.

Joris Ankersmit

Nice park for lunch with plenty of tables and chairs. Free events during summer. Great place to relax after visiting the Public Library.

Lulu Azran

Best spot in the city!! I personally love it for many reasons but it really is just the nicest place to sit relax, have a beverage and chat while feeling the vibe of the city behind u and looking at nature in front of u.

Esteban Alonso Ramírez

I love this place. It's beautiful, so well suited for events, an oasis in the mid of 42nd St. Perfect to be before or after going to the Public Library. Lovely place to have a coffee if you have the chance.

Bryant Altizer

What a jewel of a park located only a few blocks from Times Square. Lots of trees and grass as well as food a places to sit a relax. Admire the fountain or read all the plaques to learn about this area. Notice how many statues there are in the park. Stop and play a board game and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. You may get lucky and have a concert there also.

Damian Sweeney

Lovely small City Park right in the heart of 42nd Street Numerous small food vendors on corners of the park to grab a bite to eat at Park well maintained and teaming with the bird life of the city Table tennis tables available to have a game Plenty of table and chairs to sit and relax or enjoy your coffee and cake on Information boards surround the park giving you the history of the park and it's rejuvenation. Great place to sit back and relax

theannomie

One of my favorite NYC parks. The programming is excellent and the park itself is beautiful and clean. I also appreciate that it's privately funded. The Southwest porch is my favorite place to stop for a drink with my dog. It's an interesting place with an equal mix of residents and tourists.

Sem Ekkelboom

Fun place to eat your diner or lunch. It's pretty crowded just like every park in new york but had a fine time in this park.

Jessica Hash

Green field and trees surrounded by skyscrapers....tourist delight, but loved by us locals. Casual bar and fancy restaurant right there also.... what else could you want?

Jt Briggs

Great place to relax and take a breather from the city. They offer free games on most tables and host free game nights. (Games change daily) The people are friendly, the atmosphere is energetic yet serene. It's the perfect little get away for anyone that doesn't have time for central park.

Toshima Singh

Right adjacent to the New York Public Library, this place is the most happening place to really do some activities. You can always find one thing or another happening here. Be it art, games, music or dance related. It's that one thing that keeps the busy New Yorkers feel they're a community and can have some fun time!

Charles Shapiro

Bryant park is a small but lovely little park just near times square, and right begin the NY public library. It's very well kept up and there is always something going on but it doesn't feel too hectic.

Heather R

Great park to visit with versatile space. Whether it is the Winter wonderland market or Shakespeare in the park (Othello) or just stop by for the fun of it, it is a great place to be, sit, relax, eat, people watch...enjoy. Great public restroom (Shout out to the attendents who do such a nice job and are always polite.) ;-)

Susan Mulder

Such a nice oasis in the middle of the city. With such a small park there is so much going on! You can get board games, books, magazines, food, ping pong and nice restaurants for a meal or drink! Plenty of chairs and tables to sit at and people watch. Shows, activities and movies scheduled each weekend!! Great place!

Steve Roberts

Brilliant space ,used wonderfully for the community. Tonight was opera in the park. Not my usual cup of tea but a great experience. One tip, take your own wine, the stuff on sale there is v expensive

Thomas Amore

It was great. I haven't been there for a number of years. I love that Park. I believe if you do the research you would know that it was a reservoir back in the 1800 early eighteen hundreds. I believe so do your own research and you'll be surprised. Have a great time at the park.

Mimi Wahinee

Lovely place to hang out and have your lunch, people watch, read, draw, have a coffee or just sit there and enjoy a beau day outdoor. There are plenty of space for everyone to sit. You can sit on chairs or on the grass. Great little coffee places around or just grab your food at Whole Foods and head to the park. It can be crowded on a warm day but totally worth it.

Cesare D'Amico

My favorite park in New York City! Can be both quiet and full of life at the same time, but I always find it relaxing. The Christmas Market is really nice, and I'd like to be able to watch a movie sometime when it's used as an open-air cinema. I will come back whenever I'm in the city.

Dane Bryan

Awesome place to be with shops year round and seasonal activities. My favorite is the ice skating at the winter park during the holiday season. It’s always so festive. When you’re done there’s a nice place for hot chocolate and drinks. Enjoy!

Alitcha Jeffers

The place was packed but there was a lot of chairs to sit on. They were teaching square dancing and a lot of people participated. It was fun. The food was good and they gave away hats. I'm sure this is only on special occasions. I had a nice time with my friends.

Marissa Casey

Beautiful park with ample seating. It is right behind the public library, with shops right around the corner! We like to come here just to sit, read, people watch, it is a great place!

Alejandro Marulanda

It was a beautiful day to visit Bryant Park. There are many things one can enjoy. You can sit down and enjoy many great works of literature (especially with the New York Public Library on the Eastern side of the parks green lawn and grill, if entering from 6th Ave/Avenue of the Americas Take in some vitamin-c, enjoy good food with family and friends as well enjoy the yourself with the many activities that surround the perimeter including a Merry-go-round. Always have to take a moment and pause and at least I thank God for such wonders he has allowed us to think, fulfill, produce that allow so many of us to smile inside and out.

Iris Adam

One of the great parks for recreation, entertainment, relaxation, and the general viewing of City activity... a wonderful place to visit, there's always activity there; fashion shows, Free live concerts... movies that you can view on a giant screen in the cool of the evening, now how cool is that!!! There is also a patio enclosed restaurant and bar area for dining and stimulating refreshments

Sal Mollica

So peaceful, just seeing families and friends enjoying each other's company was so blissful. Definitely recommend for a beautiful relaxing day out

Justin Smith

Funniest park w most activities. My kids love the "ART CART" just north east corner of the library too. Freee craft cart service.

Penny Christie

Bryant Park is a beautiful serene and peaceful oasis in the middle of New York City. There is always an activity happening throughout the day. You can enjoy piano players, jugglers, and or sorts of different activities. There is a large grasses area in the middle of the park, which you can sit on and enjoy the sunshine. The grass area is surrounded by tables and chairs as well as an outdoor public library. Which is very fitting because the New York Public Library is connected to the park. On one end you will find a delightful old carousel for children. In the winter months the grass is covered with the ice rink and a large Christmas tree is put up. Christmas stalls are set up all around the park creating a wonderful holiday destination to buy food and gifts. The park is also home to the most beautiful and clean public toilet in all of the city. #letsguide

William Growney

It's one of the coolest parks in the city. There is always some event going on there. A small Oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle.

Seth Grossman

Great public park with a wonderful lawn. It's a wonderful place, on a nice day, to grab a seat and enjoy a nice packed snack, coffee, or read for a while. (It IS adjacent to one of the greatest public library's on the planet). There is too little nice outdoor space in this city; this is one of the better spots, make sure to go and enjoy it! They also host wonderful events in season, such as Broadway in Bryant Park, and have a great spot where you can grab a frozé or a snack and swing on a bright green porch swing for two! Check out their calendar online and go enjoy an afternoon in the park.

Glen Mac

Nice little gem in NYC. Nice restaurant with a terrace and we we're lucky enough to be there when there was a free music festival. There's a whole foods right across the street so you can easily get some food and eat it at the many tables in the park. Of course you can play chess for free. Check it out!

Marybeth Martin

Great place to get a bit of respite from the hustle and bustle. The restrooms here are a great, GREAT aspect of this park as they are privately owned, continuously maintained, and honestly lovely. You wouldn't expect this at all from a public park restroom. Loads of activities always happening here.

Michelle Pierre

Popular park. My first visit. People pick a spot, sit on the grass and have lunch. There are also chairs and tables. Nice little summer oasis.

Jacqueline Baez

The event was much nicer last year. It had more sponsors, more activities and decorations. The down scale for this event was disappointing.. shortly after we went else where to spend our money for food and drinks.

Lew Sanford

If you like people watching or are on your way to NY public library then stop to sip a cappuccino at Joe's and take in the day!

Bryce Nantes

An oasis of green in the heart of midtown Manhattan that offers both sun, and shade from the mature trees surrounded the grassy middle. Great bars and restaurants surrounding the perimeter of the park provide some ample options and, if you're lucky, you might be able to snag a folding chair to enjoy the park during midday. Seasonal construction and a problem with homelessness can be a nuisance.

Ronaled Smith

This is an exceptionally comfortable spot. Extraordinary for taking a seat and unwind. There are tables so you can eat. They had an ice skating on great costs. Exceptionally near a lot of attractions. I believe it must be extremely pleasant in late spring. You can see the Empire State Building and others.

Marilyn Shimon

Great place to hang out. . Especially in the summer. Check the calendar online. Free outdoor concerts. Can bring a picnic lunch/ dinner, and relax sitting on the lawn. Many vendors surrounding the park.

Art Thomas

Bryant Park is a really singular place. Crowded but peaceful in its own way, a different personality depending on the season, and filled with both big and small experiences. It's also one of the few landmarks in the city that is both a local and tourist destination. It's been a part of my work day as a walk-through during the commute or as a lunch spot and despite the issues I still love it.

Noshin Nisa

Absolutely love this park. They have a lot of tables and chairs to sit down and also small food places. Sometime they have rehearsals for shows so you kind of get to see a show for free.

דוד רווח

Very nice place to hang out. Sometimes there's a show. It is missing a good cafe shop for those who want to sit relax and enjoy a good coffee

SERCAN OZCELIK

One of my favorite places in the city especially in fall time! Drinking hot latte at this park and people watch is very fun activity

Alana L

I grew up ice skating here, and it’s free if you bring your own skates! I also love walking around he markets, it’s very beautiful around Christmas time.

Sheetal Paranjpe

Beautiful park. You can just go here and chill. They have free board games and free ping pong. The carousel is very pretty. Perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon

Kerrie Binks

A very lovely little getaway within the busy city. For such a small patch of green within the concrete jungle there’s quite a lot to do, there games of chess going on, you can sit and read, you can sit and eat from one of the many little food and drink stalls around, you can play a little game of golf and pétanque with friends or strangers. There’s also a piano which people come to play and a stage. It’s a definite must if you have time, just to take a breather from the busy city.

Mark Mrochek

Such a cool vibe. Great place to just enjoy being in the heart of the city, people watch, etc.

Jerry Jer

Tractors are at work preparing the lawn. for Holiday Hell Town. Smells a bit like diesel, and kind of noisy. Not a great time to enjoy the park.

A Stark

Such a great place to just contemplate and relax!! From street food to a garden restaurant, an outdoor reading room to just sitting in the sun. This is lovely!

Avishek Nandi

There are so many things that is great about this wonderful place... it's a melting pot of so many cultures, people enjoying a laid back seating doing nothing or reading books, playing casual ping pong, chess, etc. The cultural activities are always looked forward to. The winter brings the fairs, huuge Christmas tree, free to use ice skating arena, the list is endless.

Arri Arri

It's very nice and clean. Many people walking in and around the park. They have bathrooms for men and women. Like the view and vibe around. I recommend coming here with your special someone.

Sonia

Fantastic picnic spot in summer.. Enjoy some take out lunch packed from Whole Foods across the street and grab a table.. Then enjoy the surroundings

Joe Cera

On top of being the NYPEX (New York Pokemon Exchange for Pokemon Go trainers) this park has the best bathrooms - magnificent facilities. Staff is committed to keeping it clean and fun. Games can be played around the perimeter while shows, yoga, sunbathing can be accomplished in the center. Lots of bird species and labeled trees. Tons to explore in a small space.

Taylor Langmead

Gorgeous. Ping pong. Offers new books for people to read. Big field well maintained. Cant help but put you in a good mood

Daniel Fosterman

One of the rare parks in the city with clean bathrooms. Bryant park is great for eating a take out lunch on a nice day. They have lots of events like movies in the park during the summer. The carousel and kids play area is great. They added a section with tables and board games which is awesome if you are in the area and need to kill some time.

Michele Byrne

My friend and I were atrolling by and found a picnic in the park concert. There were even volunteers giving out blankets and giving juggling classes. Magical night!

All about love For all

Classic setting for a great day out in NYC, whether it be in the summer, sitting and eating on chairs on the quad, watching live performances and playing games with total strangers, or even during winter, where there are little pop up shops where you can browse for the little homemade foods and items that keep you warm when you ice skate. You can never go wrong with a visit to Bryant Park.

Kerry Williams

Such a nice Park. There's a carousel, games section, fountain or just sit on the lawn and relax. Quiet and peaceful

Patrina Huff

A smaller park with a lot to offer. Can meet with friends in the seating areas during the work week. In my time there was a good bit of programming in the evenings--movies, concerts, etc. Close to transit, restaurants and shopping.

Jill Harwell

Great place to stop and rest or talk with friends while sipping a coffee or tea. They’re beautiful gardens and several places to grab a bite to eat or something to drink.

mohit gupta

This is my go-to spots. There is always something interesting happening in the park. Some popular events include open screen movie nights, international band performances. If you don't have a fixed weekend plan, this place is a must try.

Joyce Williams-Samedy

I always love a trip to Bryant Park, but in the summer it's extra special due to all of their wonderful programs; most of which are free. Impeccably clean and monitored, restrooms are available to the public. The newly added game and reading areas make the experience even better.

Deepak Verma

It's a great place too be if you are in New York city, it's not only for kids but adults too. There is always some live shows (free too!!) Going on there. For kids it is a amazing place but give some credit to park staff to provide free toys to kids during their visit. There is always some magic show for kids and for for adults you can plenty of food and did a a beer too!! Enjoy the park.

Haripriya Iyer

This park is lush green with pretty flowers amidst large and towering buildings, which just is the perfect respite from the crowded mess of a city the place is. It's not that far from that ever active Times Square and is a hop skip jump away from the Grand Central station and so it's very easy to reach or just stumble upon this little green nook. It has movie screenings during the summer nights, with a stage covered up with white screens to show you some old and new flicks, and a lovely carousel lit with yellow lights playing French music taking you back to simpler times with much delight, with Cafès around the park with cute little tables and chairs to refill your nerves before you go out and face the crowd again, with a lawn to lie down or have little kids play on, or for you to just soak in the sun reading a book, this park is really something that the city needs.

Chris Pokorny

Centrally located. You feel the city around you, but all the trees provide a canopy of shade around the entire park, even in the middle of summer. Plenty of seats to eat, play free games (we did backgammon), read, or watch free shows.

Shoham Sen

Dynamic and vibrant. A clean and peaceful place to sit and relax. Listen to some music while you are there, read a book (kill a mocking bird) play table tennis or grab some waffles to satiate the calorie hungry hound in you. No matter what you do or how to choose to kill time here, you will love it; I know I did.

Omar Calderon Jr

Great place sit and hang out with friends during the summer. You often find YouTubers recording videos here. I won't say who because I'm not giving out free publicity. Haha. I really like Bryant Park. It's a nice little piece of nature to escape to.

Peter Braunwart

Always a great spot to stop by during the day. They have games to borrow, activities like sketching, coloring mandalas, putting and a carousel. It's a nice spot to bring a lunch, laugh with your friends or play Uno with your son!

yvette belli

Clean, well kept. There's so much to do in this NYC institution. Would love to go back for Yoga in the Park. Had a wonderful time wandering around!

Rob K

This is a great small park in the center of New York City. Great place to stop and rest or talk with friends while sipping a coffee or tea. They’re beautiful gardens and several places to grab a bite to eat or something to drink. It is conveniently located right on the subway line.

Natashia Shields

Bryant park is always bustling with things to do. From food, activities and shops. I recently had 2 experiences here. 1. Free juggling in the park 2. Movie night: to all the boys I love. Both experiences exceeded my expectations. I live in Manhattan so normally when I come across free activities, I expect chaos and longer then needed lines (especially in the summer) but that was not the case for these 2 experiences. The juggling instructions definitely care and took the time to help me learn and watched build the confidence to learn how to juggle. It’s exactly what you expect if you paid for a private lesson. The movie night was always a great experience. Yes there were a lot of people there, but it never felt chaotic and never got out of hand. I was able to find a good seat on the lawn very quickly and I loved that they have alcoholic beverages available and FREE POPCORN. This place is always great if you just want to sit on a bench and relax.

M E

I've visited this park a number of times over the years. Having worked at different jobs in the 42nd Street area, it's a popular spot for the lunchtime crowd during the summer months. Most come here to eat or hangout. At times there are various events happening in the park for the general public. The park is located behind or next to the Public Library on Fifth Avenue. There's always a constant flow of people entering and leaving the park.

Manuel Ortiz

A nice spot to enjoy some greenery while in the city. Next door to the NYC public library which is fabulous!

Pamela Rubio

A great place to have a picnic, lunch, or sit the city and watch the people of NY hustle. Love the free events they have during the summer, like “Broadway at Bryant Park” and movie nights.

Seth H

Great performance, actors' skill in presenting the story made it understandable despite old Shakespearean English (Othello). Best of all it is free, donations welcome of course. Shakespeare in the parking lot/Drilling Company do a good job. Bathroom available in the park (nice bathroom), but lines can get long. Park is right next door to NYC Public Library which is a must see. There is a Chipotle and Whole Foods right close by as well as food carts and a little Park Cafe and Snack Hut. They provide a limited number of blankets to sit on during the show, also, lots of folding chairs. Shakespeare in the park is limited to late spring, summer, and early fall (last show in 2019 was first week of September).

Giulia Zanella

It's small park surrounded by skyscrapers, during the summer it's so green and full of people dancing and practising yoga and other sports. There was a little stage with some contemporary dancers; you can always find a sit in there, there are books to read. It's so weird and at the same time beautiful and relaxing to see something so green in that huge city. I recommend to "waste" a few minutes in this park after walking so much in the city as a tourist.

Brayden Mora

This park just sets a mood in NYC yet situated in the middle of the hustle and bustle. In summer you can catch the Netflix sponsored film screenings and in winter they feature the ice skating and winter themed shopping huts. It’s always filled with individuals and families and just an ideal place to zone out for a moment while have a quick bite. The Bryant Grill was always a favorite to continue the feeling in a more formal dining experience.

Aidan Wallace

It's Bryant Park. Why would I even need to review it? But alas Google asked me to. So I did it. Why? Because look at what you're doing right now... Big brother is watching.

Danielle Blevins

This was such a beautiful place to take a walk. We ended up sitting down with a crowd of people to watch the sunset. It was so cool seeing all the performers that were doing cute little shows around the park as well. Plenty of the hot dog carts surrounding if you want food while you're there. We also noticed there were a few different options for the guys on bikes that provide rides. They vary in price so make sure you check before you agree. The best price we saw was $3 a minute.

Kat Honeycutt

What a beautiful place. I had been in the winter, but August nights are wonderful. I had the best bourbon bacon waffle and mint Lemonade. People on the green watching the entertainment. Very pleasant walk. Be careful of the food trucks surrounding. I was charged $20 for a cone and 2 small cups of ice cream.

Christine Guryev

Lovely vibe. Outdoor library area for kids especially. Ping pong. Great for any season!

Vera Chukwu

Lovely atmosphere, lots of tabkes and chairs to relax or work or converse. Charging points for phones, laptops and other electronics. Recreative spots like golf and table tennis. Centrally located that enable a person to dash out to something important and return. Food trucks available and also next to the library. Over all, a good hang out spot

Christopher Gibson

Cool spot to relax and hang out after work. Walked by on my way to my hotel and just picked a table to have a sit and relax. Well lit in the evening.

Breeanna Mendiola

My favorite park hands down in New York. They have ping pong, a reading space with books to select from and open yard space to lay down and relax. There’s also concerts in the summer and in the winter a large amount of shops come together and sell everything from food to handmade goods. It’s absolutely wonderful.

Cathy Bogaart

This is one of my favourite parks. It’s pretty, and has lots of free programming : games, art, lunchtime piano concerts, and I saw a contemporary dance concert. It makes for a stronger community feel. It can get busy, but I’ve always found a spot to sit and enjoy. There are a few good spots nearby to pick up a meal and enjoy it in the park — I recommend it for every tourist and local alike!

saivikas reddy

It’s located at an amazing sight surrounded by the teller buildings in manhattan and near to the times square. Nice place to have a peaceful evening in the worlds greatest city.

Jenna Roadside

This is my favorite park in NYC. The park is clean and well kept. There is always something to do. I saw a sing along happening in August during the day. It was pretty neat

wallopingmuffin

Incredible building, the pride exhibition that was on in the library was incredible fascinating, the employees were kind and helpful. Unfortunately missed the films in the park by a week which is a shame as it seems like a fun experience overall. Saw a lady getting an incredibly posed photo at one of the desks which gave me a good laugh.

Billy Estevez

Awesome park in the middle of Manhattan. They have temp activities for everyone. I think it's a cool place be in.

Qternocq

Beautiful place which offers many seats, has pretty plants (and flowers that smell nice) and a lot of birds (that are quite tame and come up to you). Lots of shade (at least on one side). Feels like you're out of the city for a moment. Check out the library while you're here. It's amazing.

Christel Halliday

A lovely place to relax by yourself or with friends and family. They're a carousel for children, no age limit. You're able to stand beside your child as he / she enjoys the ride. I will definitely take my daughter out there again.

Michelle Balbosa

Situated in the pickle of Midtown Manhattan. Open air large block party type setting. But really folks were just laid back lounging. Safe and relaxed close to everything on Broadway a walk away. Just great for kicking back and enjoying the view. But you must love crowds.

Majeda Begum

It's a really nice respite against the bustling city and concrete buildings. The place is well kept and the having the library right under your feet is amazing. The space is always clean and the garden is very well maintained. Go for a stroll during lunch time or anytime of the day. It gets busy as we locals love to grab our lunch and head over to enjoy the nature and fresh air. Grab a seat when you can, they go as quickly as they come.

Beautiful park with some activity or the other happening every day. Today was yoga and other days could be a concert or something. Pick up a coffee, play table tennis or just enjoy the greenery.

Alma Otaño

It was beautiful, was full of places to eat and some shops, perfect to go in the afternoon to just watch the views, take your time and visit the Public Library and you won’t regret it. The park is filled with beautiful flowers. One of those many places in Manhattan that are totally worth it!

JUAN CARLOS TORO LINARES

It is a special, spectacular and magical place regardless of the time of year you visit it. In summer it is particularly special because of the constant activity, the gastronomic offers and the recreation offers. For me it is one of the best places in New York City!

Clyde vanSchmitt

Love going there, it's my wife's were we went on a 1st date. I'm blessed with a truly wonderful person. We are 10yrs into our relationship married for 5

Tony Hill

What a great place to spend 10 minutes or 10 hours. Non stop free entertainment. From people watching to reading books to playing ping pong. A must visit destination in times square.

Ken King

Pretty place. Small, but lots of chairs. Green field and trees surrounded by skyscrapers....tourist delight, but loved by us locals. Casual bar and fancy restaurant right there also.... what else could you want?

Tim Kravitz

An oasis of peace and tranquility amongst the craziness of New York traffic and the hustle and bustle of the sidewalks. Grab an cool drink and a slice of a pastry heaven. There are plenty of seats to be found throughout the park and lots of shady spots.

Jonathan Muller

Great open park with many people relaxing on the grass. There are tons of things going on here all the time. Performances, shows, artists, etc. Also has some nice looking buildings around it.

Susan Easterday

Beautiful park! My son really enjoyed the ping pong tables. Also there are some fun food places.

Susana Duarte

Just an amazing park... right in the center of the city... not to crowded or noisy, you can peacefully read a book while sitting in the park... at night is pretty nice, with a great view... you can escape the craziness of the city by staying there for a while...

Mike McGivern

This place was awesome. Chess going on, a magic show about to start, a beautiful carousel and lots of green space to relax. Right next to the public library, so this is a perfect place to spend an hour or a day. Very nicely kept up and just a wonderful place to visit.

Tom Cinnella

Went before Christmas. It was packed. You could hardly move. There were a lot small gift shops. There's a bar, skating rink, small eateries. Lots of tourist. Long lines at the restrooms. Just watch out for the pick pockets. Next to NYC library

Billy H

I absolutely love this park. There are different events schedule at this park during the summer time. There is also a reading area for adults and kids to sit and relax to read. There are also games located in different areas of the park. So if you are planning to visit NYC. Come and check out Bryant Park and enjoy what this park has to offer.

Joeni Pou

Great place to meet up and have coffee with a friend. I really like the foot stool rests where you can sit back and relax and just watch the city move by so quickly.

Anne Fernandena

We stumbled upon Shakespeare in the park our last visit and compared to our December visit where we took advantage of the free ice skating it was just as amazing. The weather of course could not have been more perfect the first weekend in September and the courtesy blankets from The Bryant Park Foundation enhanced the cozy atmosphere. Bryant park was down the road from where we stayed. I originally was going to walk round it for exercise but it turned out not to be that sort of park. They did show outdoor films there so that was quite cool but I didn’t stay to watch the whole thing as I didn’t have time. Nice outdoor space though in the busy mid town hustle and bustle.

Sheila Thompson

I love this park. It is a great escape in the middle of Manhattan. There is a restaurant, a nice patio bar/pub, games to play, a carousel, and awesome people watching. Enjoy!!

Nicolas Bridoux

Great vibes. You can go play Ping Pong for free, there is a little bit of a wait but it's worth the fun!

Catalina Thomas

A great park to linger, catch an outdoor concert and just chill.. I must say Bryant Park has the most cleanest, chic public bathroom. Full length mirror glass wall tiles, fresh flowers

Ben Mason LISTO

Beautiful Park us New Yorkers forget how fortunate we are to have such beauty in the midst of all the motion. Tourists make sure you visit & support the local food stands.

Robyn Stuart

I lo w this place for hanging out. Great concert with the Asian Symphony. Nice that they had kiosks for coffee and food. Wish they had that in the 70s when I worked in that neighborhood.

D Tejada

I love the Christmas holiday. This is the best place to ice skate for free⛸ customer service is always friendly and available to help. snack bar is awesome!

Lisa Garces

So may things to do here and so beautiful. In the summer they have movies in the park with vendors. Such a cute place or just to relax and sit in the grass.

Janette Cornish

Great to sit and play board games and watch New Yorkers relax and eat their lunches in the sun. It's a shame the games area is being moved. Some conveniences would be a bonus as would some more diverse snack bars. The gardens were beautiful

Elena Soroka

Always so vibrant park, this week getting new gras after a food festival. Remember all the fun classes you can take in the park.

Imogen Fox

This was such a beautiful place to sit and share lunch with friends. In summer it is buzzing with people meeting and eating, live music and is surrounded by lovely places to eat.

Sotir Stojcevski

Awesome park with chairs and tables, as well as couple of bars for casual seating. We enjoyed couple of hours 9pm-11pm with the kids on a hot autumn night. Good place for a catch up with people...

Otto Daajeh

I love the atmosphere here. It's so chill and inviting. You can come here before work, after work or just to chill and relax with your family or even friends . On Mondays in the summer, they have music and some activity, screenings for the whole family. It starts at dusk and you can bring blankets for the lawn to watch the screen. It's like a walk-in/sit-in version of a drive-in.

Dicken Doe

Another great find, sat here before going into the excellent NY library, pics here of the library as Google Maps didn't pick the location up. The library the greatest surprise this trip, had no idea it was there or how impressive. Clearly from an era when public buildings were held in high esteem. Loved the pride in the people who worked there, they obviously enjoy working in such an iconic building that is also a working library.

sindu Killamsetty

Favorite park in the New York City after the Central Park! It’s in a nice location, and there is usually something going on in the park. They have an ice skating rink in the winters and it’s beautiful. I always visit this place when I am in the city. Lady m cake boutique is just across the park and it’s a must visit when in the park.

christopher Legista

Great park. Always some kind of event. Lots of shade. Next to a historical library, a must see for out of staters! Plenty of table and chairs to sit in sun or shade and enjoy any day. Summer and winter alike! Great place to relax and people watch. During Christmas season a beautiful ice skating rink with beautiful tree and great little shopping sheds to find a gift for just about anyone.

Brian AKA Geno Nettle

It's a park that's great for just sitting down and reading a book, chatting with a friend or seeing the NY Public Library's Reference. There's plenty of seating space available with small tables and chairs.

Thegirl. Fromearth

A relaxing place in the middle of chaos. I love to go in this park and chill out after work. A lot of kids playing, adulta serving lunch/dinner.

Ricardo Olivares

The best place to enjoy your lunch. Even when crowded, it has plenty of sitting and shade (or sun if that is your thing). Events like movies, concerts and yoga keep it fresh and inviting. There is always something happening.

Sara Boyer

I have been here in spring, summer, fall, & winter and its a beautiful park all year round. There is plenty of seating, food vendors and sometime entertainment. Its great place to take a picnic as well. In the winter, there is a Christmas fair that sets up shop for food and shopping! Beautiful park!

Anna Banana Rankin

Very pretty park; often crowded with folks who work nearby trying to eat their lunch as well as tourists peeping the public library. Noticed they do a free outdoor "reading room," providing materials for folks to look through. Saw some ping-pong as well - the lawn was closed for an event when we went but it looks quite lovely.

Spencer Miller

Excellent park. After exploring the New York Public library stroll on over to Bryant Park. Sit under the London Trees or the lawn and enjoy a latte while soaking in the fresh air, sounds, filtered or full sun, people watching, reading room, free games, free hugs or whatever you like. This was a great place to unwind and feel the power of being with my fellow humans.

Karen Grant

Just beautiful for being in the center of a large city. Kept clean you can go sit relax get a drink a bite to eat. A carousel for the children. Trees with plenty of shade. Changes with the seasons.

Indre Ra

Beautiful park with lots of greenery, little coffee tables and some benches. There are a few restaurants right beside it for those who want to grab a meal, if not there is plenty of seating for those wanting to sit for a moment and enjoy some nature in the middle of the city.

Heather Ranz

Like walking into a magical garden with seating for loads of people and events all day long. Very impressed. An oasis.

Nikola Mladenovic

Very pleasant and calming park where you can sit alone or with friends for hours, enjoy your coffee, watch people... There are chairs and tables that you can move all around the park and sit on the grass or in the shade. Excellent place to take a break and slow down for a while.

regina rasulova

A small gem in behind Main Library branch. Awesome in the winter with skating rink and a gorgeous Christmas tree and winter bazaar. In the summer months, movies under the stars, kids programs, etc. Highly recommend to visit. Check their website for events.

Jaqueline Ramos

Summer/Spring: There are always free events in the park. Concerts, movies, markets, shows, and more. When there are no events it is good to just picnic on the lawn and enjoy the weather. Winter: skating rink and winter market are awesome and a great way to forget the misery from the winter weather.
