This area is great for a variety of things. When I go to the duck pond there is so much going on. It's amazing! It's also calming and soothing. You make it what you want.
really pleasant, and inviting.
It's a nice place to hang out during the day. There are always interesting things going on there. Can attract sketchy people and be dangerous at night.
Granddaughter and I have a fabulous time at the park
Loved the rock water fall & the ducks. Great place to take pictures.
A very nice area to have lunch!
Trash everywhere even floating in the water. One of the ducks has strong wrapped around its legs. Gross.
Very nice
The duck pond was exquisite a good place to Go with my son
So peaceful
One of favorite place of my boy
Some nights, you can catch light saber battles royals going down.
Great place to eat lunch
Nice place to relax and hangout after class. Sometimes a little crowded but overall nice. The ducks are top notch as well.
My students loved the duck pond with the ducks, fish, turtles and pigeons. The waterfall was beautiful.
Extremely peaceful, relaxing area to play, walk, or simply sit in the shade and relax
There are no restrooms available. Had to leave after I PAID FOR PARKING!! Not used friendly.
Great place for meditating. Peaceful.
This is a great place to take photos.
Beautiful area to sit or walk through. Good for pics too
Water was green when the kids got in but other then that it's a nice place to chill
THEY NEED A LIVE FEED OF THE PARK.
Such a great place to read a book, or just relax!
Serene place. Very cool.
Love to go over here and sit watch the Ducks and look at the turtles good place to read a book
It's one of the best parks
The ducks are so cool. Bring some bread to feed them. Great place to bring the kids.
Amazing spot to relax, I had fun, the environment was calm and people friendly.
Nice place to unwind, quiet peaceful and beautiful scenery. Recommend going on weekends when it's not as busy.
Always a good time just don't drink the water
Beautiful campus with plenty of plants life, art, and even a duck pond. The sub has a food court with many different food choices and also sports a nusenda credit union downstairs. Several high caliber museums are present on campus as well as a performing arts venu named popejoy haul. The vibe is open and bright with all the college students a'buzz a must see if your in the nob hill area. There is plenty to do just off of campus as well and sits just across the street from unmh, new mexicos only trauma center.
Alright, what have I got for the duck pond? 1.) don't feed the ducks bread, it's not good for their diet apparently. 2.) Epic prank idea: kidnap the ducks. That way, people will just have to call it the Pond until the University gets new ducks. 3.) By the end of this spring, I may have nearly all the surveying details for this patch of property. including the traverse area and differential levels, so hmu around summer 2019 for those stats
Lovely spot to relax and enjoy the NM sunshine. Some parking is free on weekends. However there are often photo sessions for weddings, quincaneras, senior and/or graduation happening. Some weekends of Pokemon Go events, it can get a bit overrun. Also, be prepared for bold ducks if you bring them treats (no bread, bird seed and halved grapes recommended). There are also huge carp and quite a few turtles in the pond.
A nice place to cool off and relax on a hot day. Sustainable?
Cool place to rest on the grass, a good amount of shade from the trees (when they have leaves), pretty views... except the constant presence of couples finding it an apparently romantic spot.
A really tranquil place with tons of greenery, for my dog to roam around, dead center in the middle of a desert. A really chill oasis.
Best place on campus.
Just as it states in the name. Its a pond with ducks. WACK
UNM has such a beautiful campus! And the duck pond (which also has turtles) is so peaceful! Very relaxing.
The duck pond provides peace on campus when life seems to be spinning out of control. It may not seem like much, but to people who have nothing else, the pond is everything.
I work here
This place rules. They dot ducks AND turtles, and a statue of a wolf. Plus, my dog loves swimming in the pond.
Good place to see ducks
It needs more shades ;c
Yay
Got married here. The grounds are kept up an beautiful. Of course you have some homeless folks around but that happens everywhere. The Fountains are beautiful and there's even little baby turtles if you look
My granddaughters love feeding the ducks.
Relaxing time watching the Ducks.
Very good

Lots of grass, shade, ducks, turtles... Great place for a picnic or to just sit and relax.
THERE WERE SO MANY BIRDS!
I liked this place because it was clean it looked like people take care of it and it's perfect to take pictures.
There's trash everywhere but the upside is there's ducks and turtles.
Nice relaxing place. Water was mucky and dirty. Very disappointing. Don't know how them big gold fish, if that's what they are, Survive.
A remarkably serene park in the midst of UNM. Lots of robins hunting for worms, moms walking their ducklings and big orange fish to round out the experience. On the weekend anyway. Fresh air and youthful exuberance
The campus is gorgeous and the duck pond is definitely a relaxing spot to go after a hot day.
Awesome park to chill/study with a beautiful pond full of coy fish, turtles and you guessed it ducks! Plenty of space to put a blanket out and not feel crowded, with benches in the middle it's a ideal place to study in harmony or bring you kids for a lunch date!
Lobos, of course!
Spring is a great time to come visit the UNM Duck Pond. Lots of little baby rabbits, ducks and geese wandering around trying to stay out of sight. Great relaxing water spot for die-hard desert dwellers. Shade to enjoy, meandering paths and bridges to walk along and great for people watching. Bring a blanket, snacks, and have a nice quiet view of nature.
Relaxing and cool place
Cool place
Always a nice spot to hang out with the kiddo after we see a show
Great beautiful place to hangout, chill, relax, watch ducks geese birds turtles and people.
Best place to go for a walk love the duck pond!!

Very nice place to hang between classes.
Peaceful and beautiful! Great kid spot.

Beautiful spring day! Lots of young photographers.
Nice cool place to hang out on a hot day.
I love coming here during finals week and crying while feeding the ducks!
They have TURTLES
A wedding was going on roses in full blossom waterfalls grassy hills swans ducks turtles ahh.
My favorite place
Took my senior pictures here! You couldn't possibly take a bad photo there, it's so green and we'll kept! The ducks and turtles are adorable!
A very calm place to take kids to kill time or have a picnic. My kids(age 12, 6 and 2) love coming here and feeding the ducks. Watching for turtles and fishes, and they even have some goose or swans here. The fowls will follow you a bit if you feed them, but they do not bite or chase. It's a beautiful scenic area
Nice place to hang out in the area. Plenty of others around but everyone keeps to themselves if they're strangers.
The duck pond at unm is one of the best spots for photos. Im talking prom, weddings, sweet sixteen ,quinceanera or just any kind photography you can think of. It has beautiful back round from small waterfall ,ducks, green grass ,beautiful trees and water features.
Centrally located in the heart of Albuquerque, The University of New Mexico (UNM) is just minutes from almost anywhere in the city. UNM is an oasis, both environmentally and academically, in the heart of New Mexico and the Southwest. Modelled on the Pueblo Revival style, buildings reflect the character of the region while also blending, and not competing, with their surroundings. A walk through the campus brings a greater understanding of the environmental consciousness and commitment of both UNM and the region as a whole. The vistas in all directions are absolutely breath-taking. Academically, UNM has so many programs of study the are top-tier within the realm of public institutions of higher learning -- business, law, environmental architecture/design, engineering, international relations, medicine and cancer research, et al -- that it has become an affordable source of academic excellence for students from around the country and the world.
This was really nice bringing my children to. The koi goldfish in this pond are huge.!!! Just a heads up.. don't bring bread or bread crumbs.. it's not allowed and it makes the fish and the ducks sick... bring grapes, corn niblets, or bird seed for the Ducks and Fish..:)
This is a nice place to relax, but sometimes there are some sketchy transients there.
Love UNM
Welcoming ducks, turtles, red robins, sparrows in and around the campus pond. Scenic spot for photography. Majestic trees amongst the grass carpeted banks. An ideal place for a picnic!
It's nice, a little crowded sometimes
Great place to relax.
Great place for Pokemon Go, maybe a picnic if you wanna be a basic mofo.
Never new there was a duck pond here till my homie Ronnie showed me
Because it is clean and serene.
Calm and soothing atmosphere.
The place has ducks. What more could one want?
This is a pond in New Mexico, so for that alone, 5 stars.
Its the duck pond at the university like it's got ducks and fish and turtles and fountains and bridges and like six pokestops in pokemon go a waterfall and a statue it's a nice spot that has lots of shade on a hot summer's day
This is by far the most peaceful place to reconnect with nature in downtown ABQ.
Very nice, fun to see the dragonflies during our campus visit
Beautiful place
Great university and environment. Love studying and working here.
Fun to walk around or throw a blanket down and have a picnic my grandkids love it there
Amazing spot. Ducks, fish, and lots of turtles. Good poke hunting y todo
Great place to come any time but especially on a sunny day, come feed the ducks or just relax in the grass. Sometimes there are homeless but for the most part it's a great place to walk or take pictures.
Love to come here with my kid. Ducks, koi, turtles, fountains and green area to play. What's not to love!
Clean nice for a picnic
So beautiful and peaceful.
Great place in alburquerque to spend time taking pictures with friends and family.
Peaceful
I mean it's a pond, there is really much more to go on than that, I mean it's really well kept and really nice looking. I don't really know what else to say about a duck pond, it's a duck pond what more do you want? Seriously? I mean it used to be a scyther nest in pokemon go, so that was cool, but it isn't anymore... sooooo yeah. It's a pond for ducks, simple.
Didn't see one duck, great pond tho
I've been bringing my son here since 2011. It's a great place to visit when you're not blessed enough to have a yard of your own The ducks, various birds, and my son's favorite, the turtles all make UNM duck pond amazing. Just know that they ask you to feed shredded veggies and not bread or tortillas to the wildlife. Makes for some awesome pictures too. Believe me, you need to take time to just visit the UNM campus in the evening...its a wonderful walk.
Place is always clean friendly staff. Packaged items are tasteless or soggy. Lettuce is always dead. No matter what you get. As well as dry. I think overpriced. For campus should be within students prices or budgets. Drink prices are high for bottled items do better at Smiths or Walmart.
Nice place to relax between classes, some people visit with their kids. It’s a clean place and chill. There’s turtles too.
Lots pd ducks and turtles. Lots of shade and benches to sit on.
Nice decent area to sit and relax or feed the ducks!
Someone put a goldfish in there
nice place to hangout
It's such a beautiful campus.
The duck pond is a really nice place to relax or study. It's got plenty of shade, and a good collection of ducks and turtles call it home. The fountain is especially calming, and the sound of the water mixes with the wind through the trees in an especially pleasing manner.
Peaceful place to relax and get stuff done!
Duck pond. Lots of great memories
I love ducks. Very pretty. Also turtles
Nice place to relax and hang out. Lots of wedding pictures happen here during the summer though so beware. The grass is usually always in good shape for you to sit or lie down in. The little fountain in the middle is cute and the sound of the water is relaxing to listen to. Love that there's sidewalk that goes all the way around it so you can easily ride your bike around it with ease. Perfect for picnics in between classes or if you just want to. Parking can be a bit of a hassle so I would suggest riding your bike or walking there. Overall a really nice place.
Nice pond. Angry ducks. Give them snack to make them happy ducks.
Fun place to hang out and feed the ducks!
cool place for being close to nature
I heard that a wall may go up around UNM, I get it's for safety reasons but I hope it doesn't also keep the public from enjoying the campus it's a really nice place for all the trees and roses the ducks and turtles. It would be a shame if we will no longer be able to enjoy it's beauty and diversity.
Great place for just about anything, especially enjoying some nature in the city. Could use a weekly pond clean up though.
A very nice calm experience.
Great place to visit for all ages. Was a little disappointed because it needs to be cleaned out. Not as many ducks as in previous years. Has a lot of seating to enjoy a frosty.
It is a nice place to sit down and relax. A good place for thinking or school work. The ducks are nice bonus as well.
Very pretty and nice spring weather, all the ducks and turtles were out and we even got to see baby ducklings
The best in town and fond memories of a school pond
This is one of the best places to go on UNM when you need to relax.
Never been there
No ducks otherwise great
I love sitting here between classes or meditating by the water, people are very nice and the only ones that will come up to you are the Bible study people on Tuesdays
One of the few places in town where one can find water, although not solitude, it is easier access than hiking.
Alway hang out here after daughter's cello class. Beautiful serene place to just chill on the grass and watch ducks.
Amazing place to relax, study or just enjoy the atmosphere.
This was a wonderful place. Enjoyed it . I hope to visit again sometime. Very relaxing and peaceful.
It's a large pond within the university.
The UNM duck pond is a relaxing . You can go a just relax and have lunch. Or just enjoy the sound of the water and see the ducks.
Turtles and ducks for the price of walking over there.
Always love this address of UNM. Peaceful. Smells a bit but that's nature
designed by landscape architect Garrett Eckbo, it is one of the best places in UNM.
The ducks are really nice. I bring some grapes to feed them sometimes and its cute seeing them gather close to you to eat the shredded grapes. The sound of the water with the occasional donald duck laughter is very amusing and relaxing. The best time to go is when the grass is green.
Nice place to have a picnic
Great views the perfect place to enjoy and people watch and have a lil snack while you're doing It
We were lucky to see cottontail babies here and a duck with ducklings - and there are turtles.
Amazing spot for pictures
Love coming here and watching the ducks and the people going by
Love, Love, Love! FUN, FUN, FUN! Enjoy the stroll and turtle watching.
Place to enjoy nature
Nice relaxing spot
Great place to enjoy nature in the city
