Lovely sunrise walk with my dogs and coffee Low impact and lots of birds waking up.

Texas Wild

One pit toilet, numerous picnic tables and fire pits and a large covered pavilion along with walking trails and access across a canal to the Rio Grande are some of the perks of this site. From here, you can get to Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in 25-30 minutes. Reserve by contacting the Socorro Office of the BLM. I’ve used the site twice and had no company either time. It gets hot during the day even in May, one of the few drawbacks of the area for groups in late spring/summer.

Wish it wasn't always locked up but I do like coming here. Peaceful and always getting attention from the local BLM office. Could do a lot more with it but I understand he'll understaffed they are.
