Beautiful setting with nice paths and small lake. Home of an outstanding school. Lake View School for kids with disabilities. Section of park is geared towards those needs. Also home to a VA Hospital. Plenty of places to picnic and grill. Theater in the park with evening performances draws huge crowds. Very well kept and clean. Please keep it that way.

It is a blessing to live close to such a beautiful place. It is wonderful place to spend weekend with friends and family. It has all elements to have a joyful weekends with games, hiking, and fun activities. Even during weekdays, it could be good place to have brisk walking as well as just relaxing and enjoy watching Mother Nature.

I love this place, there are places to go and do barbeque, ice skating, lovely tiny trail for jog and cycling and in between guide to few workouts, lake around which you can walk, tennis court and children's playground. Nice place to hangout on weekends with friends and family.

I was holding a get together for a group of teens and needed space where we could organize game play and be able to have the space for over 20 people. We did have to arrange with the park and pay a small fee to reserve an area that suited our needs. The park is all kept clean of debris and lawns are manicured / mowed. The bathrooms were clean and trash was emptied and there paper towels and toilet paper available. They provide a grill for charcoal grilling and as many picnic tables you need for your group. There are picnic groves throughout the park with playgrounds nearby and the track around the Lake is well maintained. For the fee paid this is best way to go if you don’t have your own yard space.

Roosevelt Park is a central place of nature and calm in the middle of a very busy commercial and suburban area. It has a lovely lake to walk or jog around, and a few paths cut through the old growth forest still remaining. Brush is kept low, paths are clear and clean.

Every day out there in nature is a blessed day. And if it closer to a water source, what can be better? When you live in the east coast you learn that nature has a lot to offer other than crystal clear water and sunny blue skies. So for me snowy days can also be amazing days. And looking at some of the beautiful photos here you can see what I am talking about.For me it is a long walk with my headphones on. Just me and the beautiful trees. Any time, any season, this park has been a refuge from running and the never ending chase. It is not perfect, but it is perfect for me.

This is probably the biggest park around here. I haven't been able to find a park this big. There's a lot of spots where you can walk or chill. It's super nature-y here as well. And there's also a ice skate rink and a lake and other spots where families and friends can enjoy.

Such a nice park to bring your kids to or even rent out one of their picnic areas for a birthday party or something of that nature. They have a lot of shaded areas and picnic tables. Their playgrounds are disability accessible which is nice.. I saw a swingset specifically for children who are disabled so thats pretty cool. They have big bathrooms. Only downside is there was no changing station in the wemons bathrooms, which didnt make sense to me because its a park with playgrounds. Children and babies are expected to be there.

We went to Roosevelt Park to see plays in the park which presented a very good rendition of Newsies the Broadway musical it was phenomenally well presented great musicians great actors senior was absolutely phenomenal it duplicated the Broadway experience there's no pressure to do anything there and they have things like snack bars walking distance of the malls and food places to take a break after you put your seats down go see a play there you will enjoy it

Roosevelt park is by far one of the nicest parks in the Middlesex County area. It has a similar feel of a mini central park in NYC. This park has events all summer long and has many hiking trails and different playgrounds through out the park. You can actually drive to each playground and park your car near by. Each play ground has their own facilities available. The specific ones I visited were very clean. Please have a look at my pictures to see more of the park and Middlesex day event. Water needs more attention - constantly has huge piles of garbage along bulkhead. Broken work out stations. In order to save time & money, they use grass killer so they don't have to trim. Not as appealing as it used to be. Curious as to when the Freeholders have last visited the Park?

Nice park for kids and adults. However lot of area is not nicely maintained. Grasses are not cut even, lots of insects and walking pathways have lots of bump. However the pathway is really broad. Nice place to spend with family.

I've been going to Roosevelt Park my whole life- from the time I was a young child to even today, where I find myself continuing to visit frequently. From the various playgrounds to the expansive lawns and wooded areas, Roosevelt offers a large variety of activities one can engage in, from playing basketball to romping around one of its several streams or grasses. I always enjoy the nice scenery and variety, especially as the warmer weather settles in. Always recommend a trip to Roosevelt!

Serene little spot during the spring and summer months thats good for chill walks, basketball, beginners fishing, walking dogs, and their a plenty of spots to sit and read. There are also barbecue spots and playgrounds scattered about the area. Not bad for an afternoon/day outdoors.

My husband and I love taking our 19 month old daughter there. The pond is great for her to see the ducks and fish. We walk around the pond for exercise first, after that we take our daughter to the swings and the playground. If you want to exercise and see beautiful atmosphere while allowing your kids to run around and play, this is a really great park. There are so many things to do.

I m visiting almost everyday in the summer to this place and didn't miss a single event there in the place.. pretty nice and have lots of greenery with big parking lots and separate play areas for different age group kids with soft carpeted around the slide areas. Have plenty of basketball courts and tennis courts also walking trails, exercise area, beautiful small bridges for photography. Even inside there is club to register for ice skating classes and one sided lake with ducks , fishing area, water fountains. Almost well maintained restrooms.But the the lake doesn't get clean regularly so bit dirty and around the sunset lots of small insects can be seen everyday..

This is my second go to park. There's lots to do and they have a good play area that my kids enjoy. There are several areas that you can cook out at. There are plays in the park. Parking is good and plentiful. The grounds are very well kept. After leaving the park there are several places that you can go eat if you so choose.

This park is such a blessing to have so close by. It has so many beautiful spots. It's like its own world. Right by some busy streets, but it feels like you totally escape that busy hustle & bustle & can find peace here & immerse yourself in nature, by the lake, at one of the trails, or just walking across the fields. If you live nearby & just drive past it all the time, I highly suggest you make a stop there someday & just walk around & explore. It really helps me clear my mind & de-stress. It's such a nice place to spend some time. Go there & check it out

Beautiful place to hike/walk especially during fall season. You will find that even though this park is in the middle of very busy streets and highways, you will still experience the calmness and quiet in nature. But the trees provide lots of shade. And there's a spring water source where people come and fill up large water containers.

This park has been a key stepping stone in my childhood, and it's incredibly beautiful. The pond is great, it has fish and birds and all sorts of creatures, and the atmosphere is absolutely picturesque. The walking track is fantastic, they have ice skating in the winter, rollerblading and street hockey in the summer, picnic areas, theater productions, the list goes on. Plus, it's within walking distance of Menlo Park Mall. Really really nice place. Really clean, too.

This park had all elements we love as a family in a park - green pastures with a little pond, bbq and sitting areas, play area for kids, ample parking and a pathway around the water for a walk/run. We spent a relaxing afternoon and will go back again if in the area.
