This Park corresponds to the category of National park.
Small Niagara falls in the heart of NJ. It could do with a little more cleaning up in and around the park, as well as some more signage on parking. A few of the lots are hard to know about.
I Love the Paterson Falls. The the people of Paterson are hard working, and kind citizens. We appreciate the beauty of our town. The Great Falls became a national historic landmark in 1976 due to its history. Alexander Hamilton, one of our country's founding fathers, founded the city of Paterson in 1792 to create the world's first city built around a hydropower system. And it all started with a picnic at the falls between Hamilton and George Washington. Hamilton molded Paterson into a pilot city for manufacturing. (SILK CITY) Paterson ran on hydropower through the early 1900s until the water was needed for the city. Then the switch was made to steam and electrical power. Today tourists are drawn to the falls for its beauty.
The park is absolutely beautiful and is easy to get to from New York. Just take New Jersey Transit from the Port Authority to Paterson and you will be within walking distance from the park. There are picnic benches and lots or grass to bring a packs lunch and enjoy the beautiful waterfalls.
Great historical location. But must be maintained better. Trash everywhere. Shame to parks department.
This park is nice big. Its a nive place to do some walking and is good for the kids to play. The only con is that it has alot of geese meaning alot of geese waste. But orther tjen that is a good park for the kids and thee adults.
Its Amazing, there are like 3-4 falls right next to each other. There is seating available. There is grass, an Ice cream truck and people with their family. Good spot to spend a summer evening. For a second I thought I am looking at a mini version of niagra falls!.
Worked in Paterson during the eighties. Loved the waterfalls then...love it now!
Had a small walk here. Nice water fall.
Decent waterfall with both, the plungpool and overhang views. The visitor's center is located on the opposite side of the road and has around 10 parking spots and the main falls parking is on the side of the Passaic River. The place is not the cleanest and the stream isn't the most picturesque but it is decent for an evening out. During the summertime, you can expect a lot of Ice Cream trucks around the park complex. The Paterson museum is located at a 5 min walk from the falls in the case you want to add it to your itinerary.
Natural and quiet place. It has the potential to grow if township wants to enhance and beautify it to attract more visitors. No bathroom facilities noticed for visitors. Becareful with kids who may do something dumb and risk their lives.
I cannot say what I had been impressed from Patterson (old manufacturing City, not clear, not so nice), but Passaic Falls and Lambert Castle I think you will be happy to see. Not too many places at East Coast have these interesting objects. Take your time and go with kids.
The falls themselves are truly majestic. We'll with the trip. There was some trash scattered around the grounds and some graffiti, which is why I took off one star, but it really is worth visiting.
It would've been better if they cleaned up the place and have better pride of their town
Was born in Paterson and it has many beautiful historical views and Great Falls is one of many come and tour and enjoy the beautiful views
We really had fun taking pictures here. Parts of the park were closed due to ice. We'll have to come back when we can go on the bridges and get some more great photos. The park is located in the middle of the city and is quite unique. There's a visitor center and some statues. Overall it is an interesting experience and like a window to the past.
I've visited the falls several times in the last few years. i think it's absolutely breathing taking. Paterson is definitely home to a Jersey gem. There's a picnic area for families. A visitors center-havent been yet. I also noticed in recent years they have done some improvements and it looks very nice and clean.
There is a lovely picnic area to have lunch and relax. My son was happy to be there.
I've been here around 4 times in the last 5 years. They recently renovated the public area between the falls and the parking lot, and it really makes it a nice trip! The falls are beautiful, especially in contrast to downtown Paterson across the street. The walkways around the park are pleasant, and nicely removed from the street.
No barbecuing but could ahava nice evning or day of picnicking walk and pictures. Really nice water fall though. In basically the middle of the city
Is a biuthifor place I like to go VA again but I am disagree have to be more clean than you
Small park but still very beautiful. A very peaceful place to go and walk around.
Beautiful scenery but needs more parking spots and the area isn’t clean and it doesn’t look safe either
Nice falls. Parking is free. Great for photographers also! The second time I went to the falls on a Friday evening, there were absolutely no people at all. It was such a surprise to me. This falls is closer to major towns and cities and it is not crowded at all! There are lot of plastics at the bottom of the falls which needs cleaning.
The falls are incredible. Shows the beauty and power of nature.
Wow. Great tour very neat guide. Parking.... I need to keep updating and maintain huge potential very nice place
Beautiful waterfall in a city where you'd never expect it. The park is very nice and safe.
Needed to clear my head after doing some paperwork that HAD to be done in Paterson ....and I haven’t been here since I was a kid I must say they have done a great job cleaning up the place ...except for the occasional graffiti (I get it kids tag somewhere useful, not in a now Historical Park) ...it’s pretty clean
The falls are beautiful and I highly recommend going to see them, just don't stray too far from the path or you just might wander into animal control area which is oddly close to the park. There's also a bit more garbage lying around than I expected at this place. Stick to the obvious waterfall viewing areas and you'll have a great time.
Great place to hangout with family can do hiking etc free parking
What a great place in an urban setting! Really enjoyed this place. Great for locals... could be intimidating for non local. Non locals... you will be alright during daytime visit. Avoid it at night (better safe than sorry) They could use more lighting at night but that is too much to ask.. maybe? It is definitely a must see and experience place if you are nearby or within 30min to 2 hours drive. There was also a guide that offered information and cool facts about this falls (source of water and all)... kudos!
Spectacular! Two areas to walk around. For inside a city you will be surprised. Clean too and a few spots to eat a picnic! Parking should be easy and Park Rangers were super friendly and helpful! Not from NJ definitely go!
A small waterfall park near the end of the Passaic River. It's not actually as big as it looks, but nice for an hour's break or so if you're driving by. There's not really much to do but the park is set up nicely and safely.
Very few National Parks encompass a sweep of history and nature as, well, "great" as Paterson Great Falls. From the formation of the Falls in geologic history to and through the industrial development sparked by a visit by the nation's founding fathers, the story is as vast and powerful as the Falls view and as intriguing as the Alexander-Hamilton-related beginnings and the progress matching the growing nation, right up to the present day. Visit. Learn. Explore the NHP and the surrounding city and all its cultural and historic variety.
Beautiful falls, great that its a national park. Sad that the City of Paterson looks the way it does, especially around the falls. They are missing out on a tourism opportunity.
Who would have thought that there is a waterfall in middle of Paterson NJ. I had heard about this and seen some photos on internet but it does not do justice. I would ask all of you reading this to go visit this. This is worthy of 1 visit and 2 hours of your time. I think folks who have not seen Niagara Falls etc can definitely enjoy this. Car parking is fully free and it is open through out the day. The visitor center closes at 5PM but it does not need to be open for your visit. Enjoy!
Great place if you want to take a short day trip. Excellent bike and hiking trails as well.
Took the kids. Nice views and it’s been renovated. An excellent tourist attraction!
The Paterson Great Falls is a natural beauty and wonder second only to Niagara Falls in the north east. Nevertheless, the whole park site in terms of improvements could have been alot better than I expected. The amphitheater leaves much to be desire for. Perhaps much needed funding will improve this great historical park to accomplish its true and great potential as its intended to be. Truly, more has to be done so as to be up to par with other national parks around the country. But I'm confident this is an ongoing process that will produce a more pleasing and fruitful outcome. This is a unique historical national park waiting to explode with more creative thinking and resources for all to enjoy. Industry originated here and therefore, today we can say "God bless America" and "God bless Paterson", New Jersey!
It was just 20 miles from my home but I was never been there. My parents are here from India and I took them to this fall on one fine evening. The Great Falls in Paterson is a 300-foot wide, 77-foot high waterfall that propels up to two billion gallons of water per day over its edge. There is one small bridge right above it which can give you a splendid view of fall. There are small picnic areas. I recommended First stop at the visitor center and then visit Falls which is just across the road. You can find parking either at the visitor center or near to fall ( Overlook park). Ample parking is there. At the visitor center, you can watch a video of how Paterson park gets established, area’s history and more. Employee at the visitor center provided us info : “Due to the power, the Falls provided, Paterson can boast many industrial "firsts": the first water-powered cotton spinning mill in 1793, the first continuous roll paper in 1812, the Colt Revolver in 1836, Rogers Locomotive Works in 1837, and the Holland Submarine in 1878. On November 7, 2011, the Great Falls became the country's 397th national park and to this day, provides power to residents and businesses via the Great Falls power station. “ Alexander Hamilton statue is erected here. You won’t face much crowd so good spot to spend your evening having fall in the backdrop
My husband and I went here both of us enjoyed. The parking was packed but a spot opened and people are very nice. We walked the place enjoying the beauty of the falls never having been here before and it was well worth it. It cost nothing to park and it's a nice walk to see the falls from the top. There are stairs with railings to make it easier. We saw people with dogs on leashes, many children with parents and even older people out enjoying nature and the scenery. I found it very relaxing and there many places to sit down for those not wishing to walk. I lived this place and hope to get back here. I would recommend it to anyone.
Hidden falls in a city. They sure are a pleasant surprise. Parking restricted but generally not too hard.
It's a nice place. I would give it 5 stars, if there is places for swimming.
Great place to see a waterfall. Beautiful walk around the park. Verh little parking and no bathroom facitities available but the museum has one there to use free.
2nd largest falls after Niagara Falls on the east coast. It’s actually quite beautiful. The park is really nice too
It's amazing seeing how a not-so-known waterfall becomes a National Park. Over the past two decades, there has been a lot of work done to improve the Great Falls and the surrounding area. There's a welcome center right near the falls across the street. As well as the Paterson Museum which is located a block down near the Burger King.
Great place to visit and take amazing photos, also free parking.
A hidden gem right in the middle of Paterson, NJ. A nice place to visit in the summer time with great views of a historic waterfall. A nice place for a first date.
What a beautiful place!
Beautiful cascades right here in the center of NJ. Close to lots of Peruvian restaurants in Little Lima. Free to see and lots of parking nearby. Not in the best neighborhood though.
If you haven’t had any suicidal thoughts before, you’ll have them upon visiting this park. Astonishing contrast between beautiful waterfalls and tons of garbage scattered around. I saw goose in its nest made partially of plastic trash...What was done to this magnificent place can not be disctibed anything else but a crime.
It needs some improvement but it’s a great place to visit.
An absolute amazing park! Beautiful scenery!! The one thing I didnt enjoy about the area was the trash lying all over the place. The park officials need to upkeep the area on a daily basis!
The falls are beautiful but the town they are in is basically a slum. On the day we went the visitor center parking was closed for an event. We could find no other parking so had to take turns seeing the falls while the other person waited in the BK parking lot. If the police presence wasn't so great we would have skipped. I would just save my time and Google a picture of these falls instead. Not really sure why the Federal designation for this location.
This place is probably the most beautiful part of the New York City metro area. You can honestly call it a mini Niagara Falls.
It is beautiful you could sit down on the bench and look at the water fall and clear your mind love it
What an amazing view!! One of my favorite waterfalls - worth the trip!
You have to check this out! It is beautiful. Although driving through some parts of the city may be a little disappointing. Lots of litter on the streets.
nice little spot with a great waterfall the neighborhood around it was a bit rough, but we went durning the day and during a festival so the police was in force to make feel safe
Shouldn’t be considered a national park due to no security. Felt unsafe. Dog friendly and nice waterfall view (ONLY view, highway is across street). My 25lb dog almost got attacked by a giant raccoon that came out of nowhere and snuck up on us! We ran. Thank god my boyfriend was there and I wasn’t by myself. Oh and expected to hike but not a hiking trail. Someone should update description.
Good place but The park Managment need to arrange some Restroom for Public as most of the visitor are families
These falls are nestled through a diversified city. The event became more packed in the evening after the rain had cleared. We viewed Fireworks, live music, a live equestrian show, motorcycle daredevil show during a carnival with rides. First time hanging in Paterson.
Beautiful place. Historic ground. Loved it
I was raised in Paterson and I now live in Woodbridge but the vibe when I get to Market Street from Rt 21 is awesome...I lock my doors, (it can be dangerous) open the windows and pump up the volume...I'M HOME !!
Really beautiful and historically significant site, too bad it is strewn with litter. The falls are amazing and the trails could be breathtaking if people weren't such horrible creatures. I would recommend this site, but be prepared for the mess.
I love the falls. I love my town and the beautiful things it encompasses. I tell everyone about it.
I grew up here and it had always been one of my favorite places. Beautiful view.
This place is a testament to duality. The falls themselves are stunning and reminiscent of a smaller Niagara but seem to be out of place in the surrounding area. There are clear signs of great care and attention to the preservation of the park. There is also a lot of clear neglect in the surrounding areas. The stark contrasts, to me, are what make this particular park worth the visit. Come see the park and if you see some trash, pick up a piece and help preserve the beauty of the falls.
This is a gem off the beaten path to say the least. Great visitor center and a great walk over the river and around the falls. The walks with rangers are worth it if happening. Breathtaking views of the waterfall during September- October month. Must visit with kids.
Never been to these falls, born and raised in Jersey. Last 20yrs I've been living in Colorado, so I finally made my way to the falls after moving back home and I have to say it's an amazing place. Even better that it was a Friday morning and nobody was there. Highly recommend a visit... Free parking and a welcome ctr across the street.
I love this place. If you truly want to hear the power and force of water and see the beauty of a waterfall this is the place. Limitec parking is nearby at the visitor center. I have not attended an event here but it looks promising with the new stone pavilion overlooking the lesser channel of the waterfall. However, one can easily walk to the main trestle by the connecting stairs! Not so many tables for picnics near the main waterfall - saw a family bring a blanket for the first time today! The redeveloped pavilion has a few tables available.
Amazingly trankel park with multiple viewing areas to view multiple waterfalls. Very simple and peaceful in the middle of a large city
Sudden visit , nice view but small place ...
Paterson Great Falls Is a great place to visit and have fun. The are around the park it doesn’t looks nice but I think they are improving, although there are a lot of old beautiful building where the should open restaurant and store to go shopping. The museum is very close distance. Highly recommended
Really good falls, even old people can go and enjoy, no hiking. Pretty much on ground level.
This is by far the worst National Park I've been to, and I've visited a lot. It is filthy and there is trash everywhere. The potential for an amazing park is there, but you can't help but feel dirty and out of place walking around. It was good to see, but I won't be back.
Nice waterfalls. Must visit if you’re nearby Paterson, NJ!
Really amazing to see this so close to home. The falls are beautiful and pretty intense. Really enjoyed the trip and perfect place to have a quaint little date with your SO.
Great spectacle, beautiful landmark. Shame that the park is not sufficiently taken care of. There was so many empty alcohol bottles and plastic residues thrown on the grass that I felt bad. The falls are beautiful but could be a better experience if the park was cleaner!!
The falls are beautiful the state or county should clean the grounds up so people would visit
For some reason the park looks not so popular, even though the waterfall is 2nd by water volume in US, overtaking famous Niagara Falls, which is 3rd... Not crowded, no expensive tickets, no huge lines, no overpriced eateries and free parking. Same powerful elemental water :). Enjoy the park at your own pace.
Also called mini niagara. Lol. Best for weekend walks.
This place deserves more credit, however visitors and residents have to keep it clean. There was a lot of trash in the park, the waterfalls were beautiful during the spring and winter times. There is security and free parking around the premises. My one complaint would be the amount of trash damaging this beautiful place.
Beautiful spot who knew that there was so much beautiful nature so close to the city. It's the second largest waterfall east of the Mississippi only Niagra falls is bigger. If you have 30 mins you can walk the whole thing. The staff in the visitor center are so kind and helpful.
Beautiful water falls. Quite tranquilizing.
Awesome, right? I mean this little place is unique! You should definitely consider this place as your family stop by. The staff that services here is awesome. They are pretty helpful, if you'd need anything to ask for! Highly recommended!
Nice place but there is garbage everywhere. This is embarrassing to paterson.
This beautiful historical waterfall, is undeniably a scenery to witness in person, as you take a leap back in time to once was. I was astonished at the realization that this historical spot was created by Alexander Hamilton, 1st Secretary of the United States, and arguably a great historical figure early on in the United States’ development, from transforming a near poverish nation to a well structured economy. The statue of Hamilton is amazing to witness, the waterfalls are beautiful, the keynotes in certain rocks offer insight to the purpose of this national waterfall, insightfully paying homage to Hamilton’s vision for the nation. I 100% suggest that you visit this site.
The falls looked stunning. It can be viewed from different places and some of them were really impressive. Good place to go.
Great place whether going out for lunch or visiting this falls have been naturally occurred, and the town hall of Patterson has done a great job creating a nice layout around it. Here you can see the falls and have lunch at one of the picnic tables. What's best is if you go through the bridge and cross to have a fenomenal view. Have a wonderful time!
Really great place and so closed to NYC. The falls great. And walking trails are good enough. They have a lot of parking lots and picnic tables as well. Nice experience.
Great little gem in the area. Free parking. Nice picnic areas. Not very clean. Couple of drunks in the bushy area. Otherwise it was pretty cool
Nice park and beautiful falls, unfortunately hidden from view. Should be a great tourist spot
The falls are beautiful but could use some cleaning up and I wasn’t feeling safe.
It was an astonishing view near NYC. You may remind the Niagara falls in part with free of entrance. This spot definitely places to stop by. Only the negative side, there is no restroom, and a notice of some garbage make you disappointed, however, the view is exceeding on the negatives. I would suggest that you can only stop by for an hour when you driving by route 80. But, there is value once in your life, you might want to see it.
Set in the city but w the waterfalls and nature around makes you feel like in country..
Falls are beautiful but it is in the middle of a run down city. There is no hike to get to the falls no nature views...
Gorgeous falls! Really easy to walk around, plenty of parking in the small lot. There are a lot of stairs and the sloped areas are fairly steep, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. There are quite a few plaques and monuments to read, but I wish they had more informational signs around explaining the history of the area. The only detractions really were some trash strewn about the grounds and several areas of the park were extremely overgrown with invasives and weeds. There was also an ice cream truck parked in the main lot with it's music blaring! That took away from the experience and I'm not sure if/why the truck is actually allowed to sell there. Overall, I'd highly recommend the trip. The falls are spectacular and it's a quick "tour"!
Nice historical area but still needs better maintenance.
Best place to go if you just want to chill.
It's a good spot for a picnic. Nice view, and it has tables and benches. Right in the middle of Paterson.
The area near falls is not clean. Trashes spread in many places. The falls was nice but no trails.
Very cool natural feature but leaking in view points and accessibility.
Great park! A little litter, but very nice
It’s beautiful fall but small area
Came down to NJ from Boston and expected to be able to make a day of this... or at least an hour or two... needless to say it took 20 mins max and was an absolute waste of time especially for the hour drive it took us to get there from where we were staying. If you're expecting an actual "National Park" like it's advertised as, you'll be extremely disappointed like we were. NOT TO MENTION the ample amount of trash EVERYWHERE on the premises. It was actually quite disgusting. Will not ever be going back and would not recommend to anyone iknow. Don't waste your time.
I absolutely love waterfalls. Even though it is in the middle of Paterson, it is still one of the best sights in New Jersey. Go, its honestly worth the trip.
Was expecting much more. From their website it looks more promising. In person just the falls are to look at. Otherwise the area is nothing special.
"Ranger Ernie Hernandez" was so informative! We thought our teenage daughter would hate a history lesson but the ranger really engaged the kids (and parents, too). I was fascinated by the glimpse into NJ history and am DELIGHTED that this place has become a National Park! And if the local lore isn't what you're after, the falls themselves are stunning!
Great little park - rangers are extremely helpful - free parking.
They recently renovated the park and it is much more pleasant to spend time there. There are plans to make a new visitor center so in time it will get even better. Great views and a great place to enjoy lunch or just walk around and appreciate the history.
Amazing Falls area. Loved it. Very serene and awe striking.
Pretty and an interesting place to visit but only need 30 min to an hour for visit. Bring lunch. Urban residential/commercial setting without any food vendors in park or nearby. If you have difficulty walking, come in the back entrance to the park.
Potential because of natural beauty but the falls smell of sewage. Spray from the falls gets all over you as you get near it and then you will smell the same. Not a pleasant experience. Only made less enjoyable the several ice-cream trucks parked nearby that blare the same 10 seconds of the carnival song over and over again.
It's amazing what they have done to restore this place to its natural beauty. Wonderful place to go for a picnic with family and or friends. Lovely scenery
Love my Paterson "Niagara Falls" right in my hometown!! Full of History!! So happy it is getting its deserved renovation!!
The Falls are very nice to look at, some limited trails, the surroundings were innaccepably dirty and depressing. Trash all over. Park on your own at your own risk. I much prefer Bushkill Falls in PA.
Three days of Labor Day Festival 2019. Come and have a good day!
One of the underrated places to visit in North Jersey Looks like a baby Niagra falls Keep watchout area around the falls isn't that great
Great time with family and friends, nice view and clean place.
It's beautifully peaceful. Great scene to get your walk in.
2nd time great experience and it is not closed as written on Google map on Sunday 17.30
This place is really nice for a family, friends, couples or just an individual sight seeing. The waterfall is awesome for picture taking and also there are seating areas and a lawn to chill. This is more of sight seeing than hiking as there are no trails to hike, just a few walk to the front of the waterfall and back on the main road. I highly recommend this place if you need something very simple and nice at the same time
This is a gem off the beaten path to say the least. Great visitor center and a great walk over the river and around the falls. The walks with rangers are worth it if happening. Pictures in summer are great but I saw the winter ones and will be going back to see them in person.
Really beautiful, didnt know it was there. Nice to visit..
The most overrated thing probably in the world. It’s a sewage water smelling and stinky. Better to watch a beautiful Niagara falls on TV.
Never realized that something like this lays right smack in a NJ city. The park needs better viewing platforms and the surrounding streets need a lot of urban cleanup. US citizens shouldn't have to live with such filth. It's well worth a stop and walk about.
A really cool falls with a small number of visitors. Ideal for a nice picnic without driving too far from the city.
Liked the place. Not a really very big falls but it's quite good for a quick getaway and enjoy in nature.
Okay people if you're from New Jersey at least Paterson Passaic or Clifton you have been to Great Falls if not take a moment too go visit and their is a Museum too. go find out the history of the falls
Good place to hang out during summer. Pack your food & go for an outdoor lunch would be a great idea for this place.
Nice place for a short visit, but definitely not a nice area to get to. I've been hearing about the falls for some time and wanted to check them out for myself. I put the address in Google Maps, and it took me through very rough parts of Paterson to get there. Once I got there, there was a place to park and walk around. A tip if you haven't been here before; just stick to that small area by the falls. Once you get there you'll understand why. Nice to stop and take a few pictures and cross the bridge, but other than that, not much to see.
I will ALWAYS love this place...and it's getting better!
Experience nature right in middle of city. Amazing place and fall. Great place to be out of city's hustle bustle for sometime. Would definitely recommend a visit to this place.
The falls were very pretty. The visitors center is a little hard to find. It's across the street from the main parking lot. The visitors center is also very small and not very informative. They are supposed to have a tour every afternoon but we missed it. The falls themselves are worth walking around even without the tour. It's a quick walk and there is a bridge out over the falls. It's only a short distance from the main highway however we went in late afternoon and there was a decent amount of school traffic.
To be a national landmark it is not well maintained. The water looks brown. The bridge is rusted. The street is full of potholes. The traffic in the morning and afternoon is horrible.
So many perspectives with plenty of places to sit and enjoy! The mist feels great on a hot sunny day! Spectacular
Great place to relax. It was a very nice experience to see the falls in person.
Great place to visit with family. Nothing else to do the than looking at the waterfalls. Little grassy place to sit and enjoy a picnic
Cool waterfalls. Not much to do though.
Beautiful waterfalls in the inner city. Natural setting with interesting industrial history. It does seem silly that the National Park Service is closed on a weekend, so no visitor center available.
In the center of the hood we dont expect such beauty. Its breath taking and the MRSSSS lovesitthere
Walkway is nicer than I recall from 30 yrs ago, lol. Parking on the North side seemed to fill up quickly.
We are proud to have the Historic Great Falls within walking distance of our home
It was beautiful today. Recent rains cleared any lingering debris in the pools below and made the falls more robust.
Very nice waterfalls at the park.... just needs more I think very small
The summer is very comfortable and the waterfall is very spectacular. It feels cool. There are a lot of people, and there are no parasols for rest benches. There are no chairs under the shade.
Very cool! Will come back when weather is better. Cool history, beautiful falls!
Welcome center could easily be missed. Great falls though. How come it is a hidden gem?
Haven't had a lot of opportunities to see waterfalls of any kind so I really loved this! I had read a suggestion of sunrise or sunset so I went for sunrise. I really don't recommend that. The sunrise itself was hidden behind trees and there was zero play of light on the water. Also the layout of the park is such that as a single female visitor at that hour felt a bit unsafe. Skip the sunrise visit but don't skip the visit!!
Surprisingly nice. It's the only thing in the immediate area to visit I think. Some picnic tables a building that was closed there may be more info when open. You won't spend a whole afternoon here but an hour or so. Nice place to take pictures
The falls are very nice, and it was cool that I got to walk on the bridge used by the Sopranos, but if you set your expectations too high you'll be disappointed. "Great" is relative, these are the largest falls in New Jersey but they can't hold a candle to Niagara Falls.
An very nice place for a picnic or just to take a stroll considering what the surrounding neighborhoods look like. Just don't worry about the water quality. Plus, it's free!
Interesting place to visit. Specially on the winter with the beauty of ice.
Absolutely amazing place. The waterfall and park associated with it are very nice places. It had a good number of people there when I went on a Sunday. It's amazing to see such a wonderful waterfall in a town. Definitely a must visit.
This is a beautiful hidden gem in the middle of Paterson. There is parking available and a walking path takes you over the falls so you can view it from many angles. The sound of therushing water is so calming and refreshing.
Beautiful quick stop. Won’t take more than 20 mins.
My sister and I took a drive up the NJ Parkway t visit The Patterson Fals. It was a sunny spring day. The falls were amazing and. Got some great photos. We also visit a few museums that were in walking distance from the falls. I will definitely be back.
A nice waterfall with a small park and a trail. Typically you can spend about 30min to 2 hours here. It is not too crowded.
