It's a decent semi Urban public Park, it has a basketball court a good football ( soccer) facilities and velo track and a playground for families with mall kids. I felt safe and secure every time I went there. Besically I like this park.

Nice place to go for an evening stroll or bring the kids to the playground. They hold activities during the summer such as the Caribbean festival etc. I lived across the street for years and frequently visited this park and still do.

Love the serenity....it has a pond with a fountain and ducks ..so many options for the kids to play and benches for relaxation.....do far so good it was neat and garbage cans are everywhere for litter .... would definitely cone back here

Very nice park. I came for the Caribbean festival and the Mayor of Orange New Jersey and the Police department did an excellent job in protecting and sponsoring the event. Kudos to the City of Orange New Jersey .Check out my amazing Video

I come here to sit with nature and get Vitamin D on sunny days, usually near the Center Ave side. The park is always clean, and in most cases quiet. You will usually find soccer teams or rugby players running a game. On the other end of the park, you will find a basketball court which is always occupied, a playground, and a nice water fountain in the middle of a pond. You can jog and ride your bicycle on the trail that goes through out the whole park.

Monte Irvin Orange Park is a beautiful spot in the heart of East Orange. It features a soccer field, pond, and benches for convenience. The park also has a walkway for biker riders and joggers and large trees for shade.

People friendly big space great for any activity for all ages from babies to adults, the park is great and suitable for any occasion, from bike riding, playing on the slides, shooting hoops, throwing a bbq and even watching the ducks swin in the pond. Lovely park

This park is a beauty!! My pupson and I go on daily walks here. There is green grass for days here. Recently I have notice more illegal drug paraphernalia in the area. Having a small breed little items on the ground are more noticeable. Parks & Recreation workers are visible in the park. I believe they are putting forth their greatest efforts. Safe for the entire family!

It's a beautiful park on it own but when it's packed with people; there's complications. Somehow police get involve, fights brake out, it's a whole hot mess. But at least there's dogs and the park is beautiful and recently fixed up.

Beautiful little park, situated at the fork road of the Oranges (East Orange, Orange and South Orange). This park is named in honor of Monte Irvin who played baseball in the Negro and Major Leagues. There's a pond, great walking trail, soccer field, play area and rest room facilities.

The park is spacious! It has a well kept football field with artificial grass, a basketball field, large scale size of playground, running tracks around the park, and a dirty pond. Overall are good. However during the "holidays" groups and groups of people will be smoking "W" near the playground. That wasn't pleasent.

Pleasant for a leisurely walk. It's not a fancy park with lots of flowers, but it's very green, with a lot of grassy lawn and large trees that provide shade. There's a roomy, concrete path to make a circular walk, and we saw many squirrels and birds on the lawn, as well as several ducks a family of geese - with little, yellow goslings! The pond with the fountain is pretty and there are lots of nice park benches to sit on and enjoy the view. Also, there is a large, dedicated play area for children, and there were many of them; playing, screaming and running around like kids should be able to do. Since this is a contained area, it was pleasant for those who don't have kids and prefer to enjoy the park in peace and quiet. Definitely a nice place to visit. There were no picnic tables (that we saw) but I could see spreading a blanket on the lawn and having a picnic. Just watch out for the goose poop - where there are geese there is sure to be poop!

Bad park too be honest! Me and my two cousins were here, there was puke on one slide, it was never cleaned up! There are also too much smokers and drug consumers here! This park needs care from its owners, I've been to better places. Note from one cousin: I am one of the cousins and this is basicly a drug dealing park with people from the hood. Note from another cousin: I came here since i was 5 but now that place is smelly and disgusting.

Playground equipment needs to be maintained better. There are 2 broken swings that have not been fixed for over a month. Bathroom never has soap so bring your own or hand sanitizer.

A clean park. Often patrolled by Essex County Sheriff’s. There is usually a soccer game on Sundays around noon during the summer. There is also a playground, baseball/cricket fields, and basketball courts.

This is a great wide open space that can be used for many different types of activities. The playground was just redone late in 2016 where they added some picnic tables and a "spider web". My kids love playing in and riding their bikes around this park.
