On a cloudy, drizzly day, Jenkinson’s still gives plenty to do... but it’s going to cost you. They sell packages of activities for discounts, which we probably should have looked into. Our kids had a great time playing carnival games and mini golf, and the older one liked the fun house and the ropes course. We bought a minimum package of points so they could ride a few rides each. We didn’t make it to the aquarium, but if the weather is really unwelcoming you have that option, too. There are plenty of places to grab food indoors. The beach is relatively clean and well patrolled. Since it wasn’t an ideal beach day, we had a great spot for the morning and it never got too crowded for comfort. My younger one built sandcastles and my older one and I played in the surf. Showers and restrooms are basic but easy to find.

I love the sea horse display. They are amazing critters. The place seems well kept up. You can pet the sting rays. How cool is that! Its a small place but charming and educational.

This beach has a nice long boardwalk with lots to do for the entire family, including many food and summertime goods shops and restaurants. There are also many gaming booths to test your skills and bring home souvenirs. There also several bars along the boardwalk, to enjoy a nice cold beer or cocktail. For the kids, there is Jenkinson's aquarium and numerous outdoor kiddie rides. It is best to arrive early for free street parking. Otherwise, the local parking lots charge $15 for the day. Entrance to the beach is $10 per person during the weekends. There also many public restrooms along the boardwalk, as well restrooms in the restaurants. It's a great way to spend the day during the summer months.

We try to go once a season. Great time. Play some games and always get a sausage sandwich. We stay about 3 hours. If you like to people watch this is the place. I never keep the stuffed animals, I give them to kids on the boardwalk who didn't win any. This year I won 4 large and 3 mediums. Yahoo!

Wonderful beach area... Nice place for kids and family. Many fun rides over there.. we reached around 6pm but the police won’t allow us to the beach.. we don’t know why.. that’s the only disappointment for us.. besides that, that place is awesome!!!

Beautiful scenery. Had an amazing time visiting the aquarium & gift shop. Then we got a quick bite to eat let me tell you the pizza slices ARE HUGEEEE and the fries are delicious After that we took a quick walk on the beach. Bathrooms are clean and staff are very friendly. Brought our kids and family to Jenkinson's Boardwalk and we all had too much fun! From the food, rides, ambiance, the smell of the salty ocean, it was purely amazing! We loved every second of it both day and night.. Although on the super hot & humid days we preferred to visit Jenkinson's Boardwalk at night which was the best!

It was a great experience being there. It was hard to get a parking at the municipality parking lot, but finally we got it. $3 per hour. The boardwalk have lot of shopping options. Also it got a lot of rides. It's a good place to be with family & kids. One bad thing is the beach is not free. you have to pay & buy a wrist band to get into the Beach till the stocks lasts. Usually it's available till 4-5 pm during summer time. So plan accordingly. Have fun.

The definitive Jersey shore place to be. You think Jersey and think miles of shore line and beautiful beaches. The boardwalk is lined with amusements and shore food favs, pizza , seafood , saltwater taffy, restaurants and games of chance. Don't forget amusement rides for kids and young adults as well. Make sure you bring a mountain of cash cause you'll be paying 30$ bucks to park in the private lots. The public parking is cheaper but harder to come by in peak season. Enjoy.

Had a great time here. I've never been to Point Pleasant and it didn't disappoint. Great food, games and rides. Some of the things are a little pricey namely the prize games and food. But if you're smart you'll know what to avoid. The ride bracelets and tickets are very reasonable.

Designed to take your money. $31.50 for an everything pizza (actually 5 toppings mostly vegetables) seems a little steep. At $3.00 an hour for street parking seemed reasonable. Probably seems reasonable because I was in NYC last week and it cost $28.00 to park for an hour on a Sunday. The beach must have had a lot of sand pumped on to it because there is about a three food drop just before the water. Did not see that Veterans got any break to get on the beach. Looks like they pay full price like everyone else. For comparison Belmar beaches are free for Veterans.

At first I undecided about going to point pleasant beach but when I got there It was just beautiful and very relaxing. Also there was plenty of eye candy for the men the Weman that was there is very sexy and beautiful a great experience for adults and children that's my beach I will be going back

Great beach, clean sand and attentive lifeguards. Clean boardwalk with composite boards so the worry about splinters is minimal. Everyone working the arcades and games were very friendly.

It was good. We were there for sunrise. It's on point pleasant beach. The beach is really clean and well maintained. Morning entry till 9 is free but after that it's $10 per person. It's a nice place for a family outing.

Jenkinson's boardwalk is always a ton of fun and can be a go to spot for any family, couple, or friends looking to have fun. The beach is always fairly clean and despite the crowds most people are very respectful. The kids always enjoy themselves, especially with the various forms of entertainment or the fireworks that have set at night.

Cute and perfect little boardwalk with a lovely beach right in my backyard!! My boyfriend and I had a great time in their arcade where we played a bunch of games. My only complaint is he expensive the food was. I love local summer!!

I gave this five stars I absolutely loved this boardwalk. I felt it was extremely family-friendly. That wasn't much to offer but what they offered was top-notch and it did not have the warcraft that most boardwalks have. I will definitely be visiting this boardwalk again because they offer good restaurant food and live music as well as family friendly games and a few fun rides. Parking facilities are very near the boardwalk and very accommodating easy to maneuver and not very expensive.

This boardwalk is the perfect place to bring a family, especially with little children and grandparents in tow! If you have little children that love rides (like mine) , there are more options for them here (compared to other near by boardwalks), and the ticket prices are a slightly better value than the other boardwalks on the Jersey shore.

Wonderful and clean place. The bathrooms r so clean and the beach is clean. For boardwalk food it isn’t bad and parking is alright but overall experience is great. Good for couples and good for families. Good if u wanna get away to relax for the day

Pretty nice boardwalk, seemed pretty clean with lots to do. I will say the boardwalk really isn't too long. There's a lot going on but its crammed in a very small amount of space. Still a great time!

Nice place to spend with your family, the games were $10 for 4 rides for my 18 month baby. There are plenty of places to eat, to get ice cream even to get some drinks. Parking is paid and is first come first served, we paid $10 per adult to go to the beach, children under 5 are free.

Excellent place to bring the family. Beach is clean, waves a little rough though. My 3 year old had alot of choices of ride, my 7 year old not so much because he is to bug for most kid rides and to scared for the big rides. Aquarium is awesome and you can return at anytime that day.

We spent time mostly on the beach. It was our first time there. Parked at the Aquarium and there's a beach entrance across from the Aquarium ticket window. Loved the beach but we'll return to experience the boardwalk. It rained which sent us packing to go home early. Seems like a good family fun or couples place.

Definitely a great time! Whether your looking to hit the bar for the live band and drinks, or going to play some arcade games and mini golf Jenkinson's boardwalk is awesome. Very family friendly and basically as clean as any public beach/boardwalk could be. SUMMER FUN!

We had a great time. The staff was nice & helpful. The beach was clean & fully staffed with lifeguards. The food was good but a little pricey but that's to be expected for the area. The boardwalk was fun & clean. They have a lot of rides & games which are really geared for the children. Point pleasant also has a large police presence so you feel safe. Overall a great experience whether your a family,couple or single.

I have to admit that being used to the more sedate boardwalk on Long Beach Island, Jenkinson's is a bit on the wild and crazy side for me. It is like the U.N. which is not a bad thing. There are people of every nationality, many of them in their traditional garb. The issue is that during the summer, there are just too many people.Lines are long, it's hard to just stroll on the boardwalk, parking is impossible. The food we had was horrible, really but I was so hungry I ate ravenously. I would think hard before going there with children. After the summer it is probably much nicer.

Plenty of fun games and rides for kids and older kids. Take advantage of their kids wrist bracelet pass! This will allow little ones to ride every ride as many times as they want.

Jenkinson's boardwalk has your typical activities such as water guns/popping balloons and throwing balls into cups. The food here is amazing. The deep fried Oreo might be the best dessert I have had in my life. The burger I had was perfect temperature. The rest of the boardwalk offers visitors kiddie rides, arcades, and mini golf. Things can get loud an busy on a Saturday night, but the rest of the time they are a very family friendly place.

Jenkinson's is great for a night out with the family! We live within an hour and love to frequent here to get a taste of beach as often as possible! The boardwalk is the perfect size for an evening out with many different types of food, arcades, rides and fun! Mini golf ,aquarium, ropes course ... and a lot more. Plus we love to put our feet in the sand after the day rush is gone!

Grew up in North Jersey/Jersey City and spent the summers with my friends and family driving down the hour to 1.5 hours along the Shore points during our teens through college and our early working years. I've moved down to MD and while we have the Eastern Shore here, I've never brought myself to take the 3 hour drive from my Baltimore suburbs because I'd rather drive 3 hours northbound to hit the shores of my youth! Long story short, it's great to see Jenkinson's Boardwalk still in great, clean shape! I introduced my teenage son to the boardwalk and will try to make it a point to get him up to the Jersey Shore more often in the summers until he's off on his own.

It was fabulous! This place has a real beach feel. There was so much to do, see, play, buy and eat that it felt like a vacation even though we were only there for the day. It was expensive but well worth it.

Fun place with lots of stuff to do for a family with children or individuals with lots of money to spend on a fun time, unfortunately it was very loud in some places, where you couldn't hear a person standing next to you which was not comfortable. The beach costs around 10 dollars for adults.

We’ve owned a house here for 12 years, and my daughters have played beach volleyball here for 8, so Jenks has gotten plenty of money from us. Overall it has been a great experience, but there is one employee in particular who is extremely nasty and it’s clear he is on a POWER trip. Two years ago, he accused my daughter of sneaking onto the beach without paying - we have season passes every year, but because she wasn’t wearing it while playing, he stopped the game and made her go get it. This year, apparently the rules have changed regarding where spectators are allowed to sit. I was sitting behind the barriers on the corner of the court where I have sat many times, including this summer. Today he drove by and rudely told me to move without giving a reason. I asked for a reason, and his response was “because I said so!” So I didn’t say a word and moved my chair. He then proceeded to get on his walkie talky to call security to report that they needed to come deal with someone refusing to move. I told him I did move, and he said there was another woman disobeying him too. She was also behind the barrier and INSIDE the volleyball flag. I asked why she had to move and once again the response was BECAUSE I SAID SO!” We shared some words and he drove off. Jenks is one of the most expensive beaches in the area, and they make a TON of money from the volleyball and there is no need to be nasty. We pay to walk onto the beach so at the very least we deserve an explanation when told we cannot sit on an area of the beach. This employee is known for being an ass on a power trip! He treats everyone as a criminal until they can prove that they’re not.

I found Point Pleasant Beach clean and accommodating. The beach was large enough serve many beach goers. Lifeguards were visible. Food, portion sizes, and customer service were good. Look forward to returning next year!

Pretty fun place to go! I went with my partner and we had a blast walking the boardwalk and sitting on the beach. A couple of downsides include the steep $9 charge for a day pass to access the beach, $5 for an inconveniently located changing room, and the trash that was present towards the front of the beach. All things considered, probably a very fun place to take a family, especially with the funhouse, aquarium, arcade, etc.

Very happy with the beaches and boardwalk here. Was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the public bathrooms. They have showers and places to rinse off sand also. I have two small kids and they had a blast! Highly recommend. Will be returning.

Open beach, kinda crowded bc of the sand shifting taking place, but an overall good experience had someone not stolen my phone. Clear water, clean sand and even umbrella placement staff. The boardwalk has nice features, especially the multiple for courts and live entertainment.

Has rides for both my younger kids (3&5) and my older boys (7&9). More for the younger crowd. Specials available on certain days. Parking is less expensive in the municipal lot across the street. Boardwalk is nice, clean and loads of carnival style games.

This is by far the best boardwalk for a day of relaxed fun on the Jersey shore. Ample parking, good street food, arcade, etc and well maintained beaches. Some excellent restaurant options are close by as well.

Its a nice place to go walking and play in the arcades and take a chance on the game stands along the boardwalk. Maybe get something to eat and dont forget to try the kohrs orange and vanilla gelato cone, outrageous. You can walk all the way to the inlet and watch the boat traffic. Or take a walk on the beach and feel the sand on your toes and take in the beautiful, refreshing ocean breeze. You can stop at Martels to eat and get a drink and listen to the band, there is a big bar there too. There's a little something for everyone. There are souvenir stores, clothing, The Sunglass Hut which sells pretty high quality sunglasses like Maui Jims and many other imported items, name brand flip flops etc. there is an aquarium, check days and times for the aquarium, a few rides mostly for younger children. They actually have a train that is real cute, makes all the train sounds, kids and parents, anyone can go on it. Have fun.

I wasn't allowed to bring my granddaughter down to touch the water at 6:30 pm - after the beach was "closed" and lifeguards were off duty. We were fully dressed with no intent of staying on the beach. The Jenkinsons' organization is amazingly greedy and offers very poor customer service or appreciation. They do not deserve the patronage of the 1000's of NJ residents that spend so much money there. I will definitely find someplace else to spend my money moving forward. I am definitely an ex-patron.

Love this place, very family oriented all though in the past few years it seems to be getting more over crowded every year, I was there Saturday at 1:30pm and there were crazy lines still to get in the beach even that late in the day. You want parking go early in the morning or take the train.

It is a great place to bring the family or go with friends. Plenty of games, including claw games and ticket games, to keep you entertained. Just be sure to bring plenty of money, as the whole area is expensive during the summer and they seem to have gotten stingier with how easy it is to win the claw games.

Jenks has been my go to spot for year, but lately it hasnt been the same. It's not maintained and you dont get that sense of cleanliness. The beaches are full of garbage and cigarette butts. This boardwalk is catering to the younger college drinking crowd. Definitely no longer for families

This an amazing place for the whole family. The beach is clean. The aquarium is awesome with some amazing marine life. There is an amusement park with fun rides for the whole family. Went on a road trip with family happen.to go on a hot Saturday and beach was just like the pictures boardwalk was nice and also was the beach clean fun and clear water was kind of superised i felt like i was not in NJ that Downside i would say very pricey $$$ it did mention it parking was $30 so we did not park in the private lot you can find parking on the side road may be far on packed days.but you can unload car in the front if you can also there is a beach entryway i paid $19 for one adult and 3 kids. And we did not do food there i brought my own food being that it over pricey and we did not do the full boardwalk.or get on rides or played games im sure that would have been.more $$ but if you want to enjoy everything they have with the kids bring $$$ overall i had a good time.

A Jersey shore must! Head to end to avoid the crowds on the beach. Do a morning bike ride. Walk the boards and do the rides and games at night. There are bathhouses so you can freshen up. The aquarium is great for a rainy day.

I can't say I'm a big fan of the higher dunes and walkways planted across the majority of the boardwalk, but I can appreciate the necessity of such construction in light of the devastation I witnessed enduring Superstorm Sandy. You don't feel the ocean breeze as well and the dunes most certainly block the tranquil view of the ocean we locals flock to all year long. But if this project will protect lives and property, we should be thankful for it I guess. Although the aesthetics have changed, Jenkinson's Boardwalk is still one of the best iconic Jersey Shore places to spend your summer days and nights. It is well maintained, free of liter, and very safe for all who visit. There is something to be enjoyed by the young and the elder, whether it's just walking the boards, playing the game concessions, enjoying the beach and ocean, chilling out on the inlet, or trying some of NJ's best local restaurants or comedy clubs. It is a culturally diverse area enjoyed by one and all.

The gaming cards aren't universal across different arcades on the boardwalk, which is a pain in the neck. Other than that it was a good time. If only PPB would get rid of the smoking on the boardwalk, it'd be a great experience but that's not the fault of Jenk's.

Jenkinsons Boardwalk is the best. We have been coming here as a family for years. We have done all the other beaches around and this is always our go to one. The beach is always well maintained. The boardwalk has everything you could hope to find. The amusement park is perfect for the kids. Love this beach.

My favorite boardwalk at the shore. Very clean and fun. No big rides for teens or adults but the tiki bar and palm trees make this a really fun place to enter the beach and have access to drinks and food all day long

Close to home with fun boardwalk for all ages. Love the cute little aquarium. Cost about $10.00 pp for adults to get on beach. Has lifeguards till 5:30pm. Not happy that there is no discount or free access to beach after a certain time. You have to pay up till 530pm. Then the beach is considered "closed" at 530pm, but if you are already on the beach you can stay. Anyone can then go on the beach for free at 8pm. This is not the beach to go to if you just want to Grab a chair and sit and watch the waves after 4pm.

I had a very nice time at the arcade. It was clean and entertaining. The food was very good and no melted cotton candy due to the heat, which I like very much. Been there many times before always a good time. Beach is wonderful too!

It's a relatively small boardwalk, but it's very nice. Much more family friendly than Seaside with lots of good kids rides. The aquarium is always fun and the beach is well taken care of.

Awesome boardwalk with lots to do and eat. Came here for the first time last Saturday with friends. Having never been to the shore, I was surprised we had to pay to get onto the beach... $10 per person. The boardwalk is free however. There's a lot of food vendors and a bar/couple of sit down restaurants I believe. There's also rides the entire family can enjoy as well as an aquarium. Fun vibes and super clean.

Promised a visit to Pt Pleasant every summer, and stayed true to it for some years now... sometimes more. The beach is clean & safe. Attracts the right kind of crowd. After a good time on the beach...a stroll down the boardwalk is lot of fun. Lots of young excited smiling faces... plenty of games... never tried the food ... guess should be good enough looking at the lines. Definitely worth a visit, if you are a local you expect the crowd...

Clean, friendly atmosphere. The prices are what you would expect from the busiest boardwalk place! Weekends are expensive for parking, food, games and rides. There are some deals for mid week.

Great Boardwalk! If you have younger kids they will love the rides and kids of all ages will love the arcades. Lately they have raised their arcade prices and that's not good but I've been going here for years and I've had to many good experiences to not give this five stars.

We had a nice time on thr boardwalk although the prices have gotten quite high. My daughter enjoyed the rope course and the fireworks on the beach were beautiful. It was a nice way to pass the time.

A beautiful boardwalk and a very entertaining little amusement park. Kids had a blast and we all enjoyed the lively boardwalk with plenty of arcades and attractions along the way. We purchased a wristband that allowed us on any rides and ended up spending three hours in the amusement park enjoying ourselves. A great time, but be prepared to pay up for a full day trip.

It is a wonderful place, there are an aquarium, some store to take a snack or lunch, arcades, and sweet shop. You are going to spend a good time with family and friends.

The arcade is a lot of fun. But the train was what I got pulled onto first by a little hand. And I know it was bigger thirty years ago. Jenkinson's boardwalk is the perfect place to bring your kids. I had so much fun riding the rides with them and there are also arcade games down the boardwalk. We won some prizes and had a great time. The only thing that I am a little upset about is that the prices for the E musement credits is the same, but some of the rides now cost more credits to ride. Overall, this is a great place and we will be visiting there again next summer.

Great free family events all summer long! Great food selection! And I love that everythings within walking distance of each other! Mini golf, beach events, and amusement park area, along with the aquarium! Fun days and great memories are always made here!

Jenkinson*s board walk is a great place loaded with things to do. There are plenty of games, mini golf, places for food, and stores. There is also a tiki bar at the end with a bunch of real restaurants next to them where you can get sushi even. There is also an aquarium that I have been through once or twice. It's not stupendous but it's still enjoyable. The only downside to this boardwalk is the crazy pricing.

Great place to have fun with the family. Food, games, rides... everything you need. If you don't mind you can take a walk towards the nj transit station and park for just $1 an hour or park closer for $3 an hour. Don't park at the $30 lots, it's not worth it. Beach is clean too.

It's clean and all... but too crowded. Finding parking on a weekend is a pain. It isn't particularly great for kids. Though they have lots of activities for kids.. the slope at the waters is too steep for little kids to play.. which is the main reason you would want to take them to the beach.

Typical New Jersey boardwalk town. Fair-style games and food, plus the beach. Best weather to get in the water is probably around August. $9 to get in the beach, for anyone older than 11. Parking can be hard to find in holiday weekends. Nice town, good for a day trip.

Great place. Location is free to use, but parking is expensive the closer to the boardwalk you get. The beach is easily accessible from the boardwalk and there are water spigots for washing sand away. Lots of carnival games and food stalls up and down the boardwalk. Great location for family and friends and your significant other.

In my experience, Point pleasant is the best beach in NJ. We had a great day with pristine rest rooms that were, centrally located. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and with a toddler, and was worried about how clean the restrooms would be! I used them multiple times and it was 5 star level with a staff constantly cleaning it! They charge a steep entrance fee of $10 per adult on a weekend, but definitely the beach to consider when going with young children, pregnant women or older adults! Nice bustling board walk, smooth clean sand, and paid parking ($20) right next to the beach entrance available for convenience! Umbrella and chair rentals were plenty available when we went around 12:30 in the afternoon.. Umbrella rental was $10 and beach chairs $9 each. Do try the soft cones at the boardwalk!

Family fun at it's best! Clearly designed for family fun, all ages, even into the night. Rides, games, an aquarium, and some events. It has been a family fun hotspot for us through the kids life. Parking is difficult in hot summer weekends, so prepare for that. Located near downtown Point Pleasant Beach.

This place is very nice and fun to take your family to. If you are looking for a beach/boardwalk to go to, this is the only place for a long ways. the beach is very nice and you have to pay for it. The pro to paying for the beach is that it has active and alert lifeguards.

It's Jenkinson's! Tons of games, good food, and plenty of rides for adults and children alike. There's also rope climbing down the boardwalk, and a delicious candy shop at the far end (as well as smaller ones throughout). Just a fun place to spend a day along with a trip to the beach.
