I love this place! Many of my friends knew this park what they did not know is that it has 15 picnic areas, I chose Pat Di Ianni Boathouse to celebrate the graduation and my son wanted a park so that he will play ball with his friends and they all loved each other This place is really beautiful! I recommend it 100% its price is reasonable!

Cool hilly forest. There are few places to park and then you can have a fun walk in the woods. From the top there are amazing views of the New York City skyline and the city of Paterson right below. We saw three groups of deer. They were not too afraid so we followed them at a distance. There are also many picnic tables.

I visited on a June 13th in the year 2019 of Our Lord. The yellow trail was my main destination but also stopped by the castle & tower. The trail was a relatively easy 3-ish mile loop. Very well marked. At times there were so many blazes I felt I was in the movie "The Blazes" starring Keanu Reeves, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Robert De Niro. Set in the year 2032 and based on a true story, the film focuses on Holden Nero's (Reeves) existential struggle after the loss of his father, Tuttle Nero (De Niro), and the evolution of his emotional bond with his organisational instructor, Tunare Willikers (Zeta-Jones), as they combat his depression together via structure & folding. There was a plethora of wildlife on the trail. No less than 17 chipmunks scurried across the trail in front of me. And this venue must be a bird watcher's delight, as I saw so many birds I felt I was in the 1963 motion picture film "The Birds", despite the fact that some of the birds at the reservation were not black *or* white.

Lambert Castle had been home of Catholina Lambert, which was built in 1892. A lot of American and European paintings and sculpture before 1913 (owner fell into debt) were there. Now it's just Headquarter of the Passaic County Historical Society. No more Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir. Today only four of Lambert's original paintings remain in the Castle. Maybe because that ticket costs $5.00

I love this park. The view of Paterson is great at the top of the hill. You even see it in your car. The park is clean. You can hike or go fishing if you like. There is a castle there. Sometimes you can see deers hopping around or eating grass. You can also have barbeque(tables and grills), play basketball(basketball court), and other outdoor activities.

Love this park. Excellent walking paths and hiking trails. Several different picnic spots, great view of the city from Overlook point absolutely stunning in the fall. Beautiful. Also police and park workers always close by. Lots spaces for kids to run around but no playground .

The view on the yellow trail at the top of the mountain is breathtaking. On my visit I got to see some woman doing graffiti on the rocks. Not sure why you care though. But the view!!!

Amazing views! The park closes at sunset and open when the sun rises. It has a great view of the city on one side. There are several parking spots. There are picnic areas, a place to ride horses, some hiking trails, and a basketball court. It is mainly a large circle that goes one way around by car with a bunch of places to stop and park woth some scenic overlooks as well.

Great park, with a magnificent view of NYC and local towns. It has trails, pond, horse back riding trail, grills, drone areas and a historic mansion. During the summer it gets packed and loud and locals don't mind cleaning up after themselves. I love it, regardless.

There are many moderate hiking trails. In the high season, you would feel little clouded. But you can make an active relaxation such as walking, jogging, hiking, picnicking with your family. Only a little access to the bathroom.

Wonderful park to visit anytime of the year. There are so many things to do. It is impossible to tire from visiting. picnicking, walking, skateboard, site seeing @ the overlook, enjoy the trails, even see the landmarks throughout the park. And in the winter you can snowboard. :)

I used to go to the county fair there so I would only see it during night hours,recently starting visiting it's beautiful well kept the park employees are extremely helpful.They have the watchtower and mansion museum there.plenty of trails.

Great out door spot close to my house great for exercise walking running dates walking the dog they even do parties.... like birthdays baby shower etc. There is a hiking trail but need to be careful it can dangerous with people up there smoking and with the animals like ticks and deers sometimes the place is full but there is plenty of space for everyone also there is like a historic castle and museum there

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great starter trails with great nature views and appropriate markers to follow. Many people don’t hike in fear of getting lost, but the markers for the beginner trail was very simple to follow to and from. We all had a blast. We are going back later this summer to explore the novice trails and we can’t wait. Definitely pack some waters or a camel back because you will get thirsty.

Great place to hangout and go for a walk. A few buddies and I rode up there on motorcycles from the city and it was well worth it... even though the speed limit through the area was 15mph and most of the people on bicycles were speeding.

This is a safe serene place to exercise. You see the presence of police and Parks staff frequently circling the grounds. The park is clean and well kept. Several sites to visit, such as the Lambert Castle and the lookout at sunset.

I love Garret Mountain. There is so much that you can do . The beautiful castle and the walk up to the tower. Than you have that amazing view of the city. I wish they do something about the “lake”, maybe a kayak rental ? Also you can go for a horseback ride. And is so close to home .

Great place , used to come here as a kid all the time as a kid , recently went here and there were people smoking weed and a bunch of needles scattered around. It's sad they let it get that bad and or dont have rangers patrolling the area more

Nice place to visit if you've never been. It's nice to go for a run or have a picnic at one of the many picnic tables throughout the park. Also great to go explore the castle, there's also an Equestrian center. There's a nice skyline of NY city. You can also see Paterson NJ. There's a binoculars for $0.50 I believe. Really nice during my visit on this brisk day and can imagine during the spring time.

My cat approves of this park. Isn’t that the most important thing? :) Parking is easy. There are many different points in the park for various experiences: lake, greenery, mountain top, views etc. Even on weekends you can usually find a quiet corner.

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to spend some time hiking and found Garret Mountain Reservation. This Park is amazing there is Lambert Tower and down the hill Lambert Tower. there is also several scenic views. But this place is a very large park where you can hike around the park there are several trails. Or visit the Lambert Tower or Lambert Castle. If you are looking for a wonderful park to visit, go to Garret Mountain Reservation.
