Harder then I expected not gonna lie. You really gotta think and analyze the room and definitely gotta communicate but was frustrating but I would of hated if it was easy, so kudos to the creators and company, well done! Shoutout to the instructor Sha ,she is very professional/very thorough and detailed in instruction I am pretty sure she is the manager ask for her.

My team of two played and beat Awaken after getting many recommendations to attempt it. I'm glad we did - this room is great. I'll avoid spoilers, of course. The idea for this room is original, and the setting is beautiful. They had an idea for the design and executed it very well. It matches the idea for the setting perfectly. The puzzles were a mix of electronic and traditional locks, and they all made sense. I say that because it's not always the case with other rooms. Everything worked the way it was supposed to, once we figured it out. Thanks to Bobby for running our room and giving us a hand when needed.

6 stars for this room! The game involves so many twists and turns, no spoilers so that's all I can say. Difficulty level I would say 7 Fun level 10 Decor 10 Staff 10 Facilities 8 This is certainly one of the favorite games in the area and they have another room opening soon.

Start with the positive points: Very well thought out game with good puzzles that aren't too hard but rather very intuitive, some so simple they are easily over looked. Decor is top notch. Staff is all over the game they interact and do so in a way that doesn't feel like they led you through the whole game. Surprisingly the game prob could accommodate the size groups they advertise, I was very surprised to find myself thinking that afterwards. Negative: Not the easiest place to find, you gotta keep your eyes peeled. The building they are in is a little eerie, I guess that goes with the whole escape room thing though.

Went with a group of 13, had a really good time! The "hosts" did a good job of giving us tips to get us back on track such that we had a pretty intense last 5 mins and nearly made it out the room - but didn't *sigh* Which was way better than being stuck the whole time and realizing you were still no where near completing the room after an hour. Thanks guys!

The escape room could have been fun, but having 18 people in one group is unacceptable. My group hardly was able to even look around- let alone enjoy the experience. Two groups in the room with us had young children that were running around the entire time, stealing clues right from your hand. If we were able to do the room wirh adults only, I’m sure we could have had a decent time with a smaller groups and children who were actually controlled by their parents. This was a terrible experience for a place that had potential, my wife and I paid 50 dollars to see kids wreck havoc in a room, not share clues, repeatedly enter codes until a lock was unlocked by sheer luck or trial and error, and not actually work on the puzzles. If we wanted to see undesciplined children run around in a room, we would sit in the observation room of a daycare center. Pass on Pompton Lakes!

Overall, the actual rooms and story were good but the whole process was not enjoyable. I paid $25 to basically stand in a room with 15 other people while they and their children literally ripped clues out of my hands. The rooms do not work with more than 7-10 people max. When you have that many people, who don't know each other on top of it, trying to work together it is just pure chaos. No one communicates what has been done or what they are working on. People let their children, as i mentioned, rip things from your hands. It shouldn't be an experience that I pay $25 for, just to basically stand there. I am also very unhappy with the way you have responded to other posts complaining about the same issues. You basically just said "get a private room", when that is not really taking into consideration the problems your other customers had as well. We aren't the only ones who had this issue. Please understand that if you have 15 people working on the same thing, it is physically impossible for everyone to be a part of the experience.

Was a lot of fun. We got a great guide. (Chelsea? I think). We never did it before and it was a great experience. Everyone had to collaborate and come up with solutions. We all enjoyed.

Had a great time with a group of 8! The room was definitely scarier than I thought it was going to be. We didn't make it out and we want to go back and try again! Staff was very nice. They had a mix-up with one of the locks in the room but they gave us the code to get through it.

Dude I don’t know what to say this room was out of world this scary lol. The scare drops, the actors! Real well planned. sha was our game master amazing amazing amazing! Dude the guys in our group screamed like little girls. Tonight was epic! I think the funniest but like so interactive part was the dance segment for an extra cool that was a unique touch and unexpected.

We went a couple of weeks ago and had such a great time! We'd previously gone to an escape room place in Montclair, but enjoyed this one so much more. The concept was well thought out and it was challenging but fun. Highly recommend it!

Highly recommended if you’re looking to plan an event with 12-15 people. The room was very challenging, but it was a great time. The “Minute 2 Win It” activities were super fun and the host was excellent! The food was good, and the price is pretty reasonable as well!

The manager Jeff is Completely unprofessional. We were told on the phone that there were 2 openings and to come in and we can buy the tickets there. My boyfriend and I drove 40 minutes to Pompton lakes to find out that since we didn't book tickets online, we cannot go into the room. We got there and were told to call "Jeff" to see if he will allow us join the group. We spoke to Jeff on the phone and he was completely rude and unprofessional. We were going to come next week with a group of 10 people but after speaking to this absurd rude man, we definitely will not be coming back. Hi! I am just going to respond to your malicious comment by editing by this post. When I originally called, I was told that there were two spots open for the 8:30 session and that I had to get there by 8:15 and would be able to purchase the tickets when we got there. When we got there, we obviously weren’t on the list because yet again we were told we could purchase the tickets there. Once we got there, we were then told to call you to see if you would let us go into the 8:30 session. We were given your number which it great that it was recorded so you can go back and see how passive aggressive and rude you came across. Although, I wasn’t on the phone speaking to you, my boyfriend was and you were on speaker to which I overheard the entire phone conversation. What’s malicious is being told that there were 2 spots open and that if we got there by 8:15, we can purchase the tickets there and then you ultimately turning us away AS WELL AS is your snarky comments such as, “oh well if you had called ME, I would have told you not to waste your time driving 40 minutes.” It’s passive aggressive, rude, and frankly completely unprofessional. If me “not getting my way” is driving 40 minutes after being told we can purchase the tickets there, then yup I guess I didn’t get my way. Also isn’t ironic that another person that made a review stated that you were “rude and dismissive.” I guess that’s just an ironic correlation. Have a fabulous day!!!! FYI: We didn’t drive down on Easter. We drove down last Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.

I have been hearing about the escape rooms for years now and I always found a reason why not to go. Finally my best friend decided to have his birthday party at this one in Pompton Lakes, so now I had to go. So it wasn't anything that I expected. Maybe I am naive but I thought it would be a cross between the movie SAW and PANIC ROOM. It couldn't have been further from that, we were told exactly how to leave if at any point we wanted to get out, there was nothing scary in the game that we played although they did say they have scary games if we wanted, NO THANKS! The short of it was I totally and thoroughly enjoyed and quite honestly I am totally looking forward to going back and trying another experience. I totally urge everyone to give it a shot even if you have your doubts it is a really great time.

I did this room on Sunday with my boyfriend. At this point I’ve done over 40 escape rooms, and this was by far one of the most elaborate themed rooms. No spoilers but this room is a cross between the movies Pleasantville and Inception! The game master was top notch, we only had 3 clues and the game master only gave us little hints along the way if we were really stuck but nothing we hadn’t already figured out 80% of ourselves. Awesome game master, very awesome room. Can’t wait till their next room opens. Will most definitely be back

It is one of the better escape rooms in the surrounding area with a very large puzzle room (three individual rooms). The puzzle was slightly on the harder side, but if you communicate well with the other members, you should be able to get out. Overall, a very positive experience and I would recommend it.

The best Team building outing I have ever organized. I brought my 20 person team here and we stayed for 3 hours doing the escape room, minutes to win it and the VR. The staff was very nice, the food was fresh and the team had a wonderful time. I would certainly recommend it!

The best Escape Room in Bergen County? Yes! I have played all their games. The first was in Hackensack and then in Madison. These guys take time to open their rooms but you know they will be good. I recommend you play their games in that order they get better & better. Game masters are always fun and they don't repeat their puzzles and challenges, I assume that's why it takes them so long to open their games. Now they are doing hatchet throwing and rage rooms. GENIUS!!

First time doing an escape room and I will never forget it. Bobby and his staff provided a fun environment for me and my family to enjoy ourselves and also offered helpful hints when we got stuck. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and puzzling adventure

Terrible and unprofessional. The owner not only hung up on but was rude and dismissive Towards Females he was Interrupting me and would not let me speak. I booked 5 spots in a Room for 230 I immediately received an email telling me that if I wanted a private I should respond back. I called him and he suggested I secure A private Room since I have 3 young children with me and he said they would Not enjoy the experience if I did not so I asked him to please book over and he told me to follow up with an email which I did. When we got there he had looked a very large party of over 15 people with our party.... These were 15 loud adults that would have made the children's experience Miserable. A would not rectify the situation and simply hung up on me. Clearly this man has a problem with women who Have a voice because he was totally derogatory and dismissive. If I could give this place negative stars I would I do not suggest that anyone Patronize this location. Especially if you're a woman....finally i encouragre the pomoton lakes fire dept to inspect this facility as the amount of people they pile into each room is most definately a fire hazard.

We (3 adults, 2 kids) did a VR session at Pompton Lake, 5pm on Monday 18 Feb. The guy that coached us through (I think his name was Matt, but I'm bummed I can't remember for sure!) was very nice and helpful, making it a fun intro to VR. It was good!

We had a great experience here, probably the best we have had in an escape game. The staff was so nice and went out of their way to accommodate us when we got a bit turned around. The game itself was thought out very well and designed professionally with movie set quality. We will be back to do the Prison Break game they have opening next year.

Very good experience. Me and my party of 9 made it about 80% percent of the way through. Very difficult, but at the end, when everything was revealed, it made sense. Very fun experience. A bit pricey, but still excellent. Will go to other locations.

We had an amazing experience at the Pompton Lakes location & an outstanding guide named Jeff. The set was set up beautifully crafted and just challenging enough to keep you on your toes. He knew that this was our first time and he made sure we had a great experience. Wow! Really well done, as soon as the door opens you will be immersed in another world. Without giving too much away the world you are in is a black and white, grey scale....pleasantville kind of place. Bring a large group if you want as there is so much to do. We played with 4 people and almost escaped, but we are experienced players whom love these games.

Great game, well thought out and executed. The only part that wasn't awesome ironically was the very end as we escaped and totally enjoyed the game, however the very end is a bit of a let down. None the less I would totally recommend the game, especially for anyone who likes very interactive games. Although they have locks they are all different and are as far from your average lock and key escape room as you can get. Solid tech and great riddles make this a 5 star game in my book!

I am an Escape Room Buff! I go to all of them in the area and this game is by far one of the best. The staff was very nice and everything was clean, bathrooms matter owners, clean escape rooms matter! As for the game is is top shelf, tech worked awesome and the game master was on point. I felt it was super immersive and was really shocked that all 15 of us kept busy and no one was just hanging around, which is very rare. 5 Starts, 2 Thumbs up and I obviously certainly recommend it!

We had a FANTASTIC time at this place. This was only our 2nd escape room and it was quite challenging but we made a lot of headway and were pleasantly surprised at how well the challenge was done. It was very elaborate and we enjoyed thoroughly. My only feedback was that it would have been nice to know how much time we had left as I felt we spent too much time on some puzzles.

Amazing Fun! We had a great time in the escape room with 14 people. Afterwards we went to dinner and everyone couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was. My kids who are 10, 13 and 17 played with their grand father who is 85 years old and everyone in between all had an amazing time. We will be back when they open their new game.
