This Park corresponds to the category of Amusement park.
Not a big amusement park person but came here with out of town visitors. The views from the top of the Ferris wheel were great, especially at night. It costs about $10 and I believe you go around twice. We rode in the cars that swing for an added thrill although the stationary cars are higher up on the wheel. Either way it’s a classic iconic Coney experience.
Great place to bring the kids especially on Friday when they have fire works. Lots of rides. However, Always very crowded. If you have kids like mine who wants to see the ride in action before they decide. Be prepare to spend a long time. Always better to go in the evening. If you park in the NY aquarium parking lot.. it's a flat $20 for the evening.. no matter how long you spend.
Definitely check out the swinging carts on the wonder wheel when at denos amusement!
Just follow the red line to the swinging car. So fun!
Vintage amusement park by the ocean
Great family fun. Gave it a four because there should be warning signs about broken glass & other dangerous debris in the ocean water.
Great place for all ages! Lots of kiddie rides for the smaller children
A cool old Ferris weel. Not Scary
The wonder wheel is the best ride next to the cyclone don't forget to go on the one that moves it will keep you on your toes
Scary s**being so high
I have went there befor with Mrs. Ricky that ride was fun i enjoyed it a lot.
Deno's world is good but they need weekday special.
Some of my best memories
Amazing views of Coney island, aggordabke. Family loved it
Classic entertainment
I love this place.
Nice view of Luna Park once you're on top, but the rust is off-putting.
Love this place, I had so much fun here
Definitely worth checking out the wonder wheel. It's almost 100 years old (built 1918 - 1920) and completely unique to the world! A nice piece of Coney island history.
Had a great time. The cost of some rides and games were a bit high. The ferris will is $8 a person and doesn't last but two trips around. The "Spook a Rama" is a also $8. It seemed to last less than five minutes. Recommend skipping the kiddie rides and just going to Luna Park for those. The rides Luna Park cheaper
If you want to visit the most historical luna park in the world, go there otherwise in US you will find for sure others funniest and nice places.
Tons of fun
It's getting very expensive $5 dollars for a kiddie ride I bought $20 it gives me 4 rides. This place is about ripping families
The Kiddie Park is the best!!!! Rides for all types of children. Baby roller coasters, boats, motorcycles, big wheelers, you name it, they have it and only for children. If you have smaller children you will have to ride with them, but the older ones can go on the rides alone. Be prepared to spend about $40 for the tickets, but you can use them at another time if your child tuckers out. Get there early to park in the lots, they fill up really quickly and street parking is almost impossible. If you can handle the subway, that may be the best way to visit.
The world's best Ferris wheel (the Wonder Wheel) a great old school darkride (Spook-A-Rama), great new one (Shoot the Zombies!) and classic rides for grown up and kids both. A must- visit at Coney Island. The park is involved in community support and great events like the Mermaid Parade, too. I love Deno's!
Super cool little park! Geared more toward children and very neat!
Great place! And getting better all the time.
Lots of fun games and rides.
Great friendly family place to bring the kids
Men attempted to scam us.. I cried ...not fun...dont go... watch out for the people who try to sell u on games..
Price not to bad. But 2/3 of the rides were very similar in nature
I been coming here for years ever since my children were born. As a matter of fact I've been bringing them here before they could even walk. Now that my children are growing and the rides can no longer accommodate them it was nice raising my kids up in that amusement park while they were still babies. I miss that.
It's not very clean or kept looking nice. You get what you get here.
bery good
There is a place where you can enjoy and feel at home.. i really miss that place and the persons that i worked with. greetings from istanbul..
Wonder Wheel in Deno's is just a classic ride and a must ride. The wheel gives a wonderful view of the Coney Island. There are swinging cars that swings along a curvy track in and out of the wheel. And the non swinging cars located at the edge of the wheels.
The unknown 8th wonder
Great fun
Brilliant heart-stopping design topping out at 150 feet opened in 1920 with seats in cages that roll-on tracks constantly moving as the wheel turns. A combination of spectacular serene views out over the Atlantic Ocean with adrenaline fueled scares as the riders roll in a freefall motion on steel tracks.
Really enjoyed the wheel. I didn't expect the rocking cars to be as exciting as they were but we loved them. Views from the top were beautiful. Glad we came.
iconic
Not sure why the area needs to smell like hot garbage. Clean it up!
I there parking space in this area?
A spectacular evening full of magic with the best company. In addition to games and amazing activities of the best mechanical performances of the city of New York. You can have a drink and see one of the most beautiful beaches that has the care. everything can do it in the same place @Coney Island Beach. 100% recommended
A very good place for your kids
Deno's Amusement Park is definitely geared towards the kiddies but it's still enjoyable to see the different rides they have even if you don't get to try one yourself. It's very much a traditional amusement park with older rides compared to Luna Park nearby but that's what makes the iconic Wonder Wheel all the more endearing. Great views of the beach and park from above whether it be day or night but the best when timed with the nightly fireworks display during the summers. I wouldn't say it's the best amusement park or ferris wheel I've been on but worth a visit for a taste of a nostalgic Brooklyn.
107 years. Just wow
Wow! It was a good outdoor experience. An opportunity to play during summer. If you by chance get bored you could cross next door to the New York aquarium to see different species of the aquatic world in one space. It's something everyone should endeavour to see. I will do it again.
the first time i went there was when i was 5 and after some years pass i still love going there
First time on wonder wheel it was amazing
Unlimited fun young and old. It is a lot crazier than say 20 years ago but for what's here it's still a decent price. When they decide it's time to shut down the Wonder wheel and I win millions of dollars the Wonder wheel goes in my backyard
Always fun, unpretentious, and real Coney Island.
this has a variety of kiddie rides, but also a few great thrill rides and a historical ferris wheel which kicks some pretty much ass cuz it swings
One of my favorite places as a kid now my twins are enjoying 30years later. Thanks Denos
Really enjoyed the historic Ferris wheel
Over crowded but ok
Legendary. I found out about this is 1979's The Warriors movie. It looked pretty iconic, so I went. Little did I know how amazing and fun it was! I didn't know it was unique and had moving components like swinging and sliding carts. Truly a must in one's lifetime.
Dont confuse this place with Luna park. I bought credits I couldn't use in Luna. Major RIP off. Way overpriced and broke down
Quaint, endearing and by the ocean... perfect for my family! Been coming here for years and will always do.
What can I say it's the Wonder wheel
Classic Coney Island Fun Thrilling Make sure to get the swinging car!! Also, check out the rest of Deno’s area!!
If you want to show your kids a fun-filled day, Deno's is the way to go. The rides are well maintained and safe. And the lines aren't long!!
Wonder starts young. (But it'll cost ya)
Overly expensive for most rides that aren't longer than 1minute if u lucky
Kid zone!!! Love it!
We had a disgusting customer service experience at Coney Island/Luna Park/Wonder Wheel. We were given "comp credits" because a ride broke down while we were in line. We than added more credits in cash so that we could use them on either Wonder Wheel or Cyclone. At Wonder Wheel and Cyclone, we were told that the comp credits don't work. We tried speaking to an associate AND her manager, only to be told that neither had the authority to refund us and that we would have to wait in Guest Services. There was an obscene line in Guest Services, probably with people with similar issues, so we decided to just leave. I truly hate to use this word but this entire experience leads me to believe that Coney Island/Luna Park/Wonder Wheel in general is a scam. They basically stole our money by making it extremely difficult to get our money back even if the issues at hand are not our fault (i.e. broken rides, comp credits not being accepted, asking for a refund). We plan to stop charges for the credits purchased for the broken ride but we probably can never get back our cash. Coney Island/Luna Park/Wonder Wheel, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves for making it so difficult to get back a measley $20 altogether. You will never have my business or recommendations ever again.
Great park and your kids will love as well
Very fun! Is the first Wheel I've been that the cars move inside the wheel itself. Good views and everything at a good price.
Thrilling Coney Island. Never disappoint
The cab rocks to and fro...its not stationary..on a clear blue sky you can see far.on a windy day it can get cold. Sometime lines are long and at time you only get one full circle and then the ride is over.
Good. Must try, did try. Will advise to try.
Although being a little old, the Wonder Wheel is a hell lot of fun! Went in a very crowded day (4th of July weekend) and still did not have to wait too much in line. Make sure you ride the swinging cars, they are crazy!
Nice
Stranger things event was just away to get people to come out to coney island smh... all they had was posters of the show
There’s something about Deno’s Wonder Wheel (an massive, historic ferris wheel) that is endearingly exciting. I go on it every time that I visit Coney Island, both alone and with visitors or local friends.
My kids loved this place, good kid friendly rides excellent snacks, drinks but you will definitely leave with a lighter wallet! Cost of the rides are at least cheaper than Disney land Hahaha
I use ti go when i was young n now i bringy son who loves it as well
Very good views of Coney Island. I recommend
Very crowded. I think the staff could be more child friendly as the kids are their main customers. Good hot dogs
Great for kids 36" and above, most rides are 5 credit each, so if only your child goes on the rides, it's very reasonable. We spent a good 3hr with 50 credits = $40. The boardwalk and beach are connected with this theme park, and New York Aquarium is a free minute walk down, there's so much to do!!
This place is wonderful. As a proud born New Yorker I gotta say this place definitely beats other amusement parks and theme parks completely. The pier and beach is wonderful they have play areas for children and there is a lot fish in the sea (literally) to catch and eat. The rides, prices and food are all amazing, and you simply cannot beat this place. It is so much, that I highly recommend coming here.
FRAUDULENT AND A RIP OFF. for my 18month old son to go on the ride requires an adult and because of that i have to pay for that also. Its $5 per ride and if you have to accompany a young child you must pay $10per ride thats about 2-3min long. They dont even offer an all day pass. Im also 5'8" and most of the rides i had to accompany my son on, i was told im to tall. So out of the whole park i was only able to go on 3rides with him that were suitable for his size and age and also my size. SHAME ON YOU FOR RIPPING OFF FAMILIES WHO WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. SHAME. ON. YOU. Nellie bly is another kiddie park that offers an all day pass and its about 10min by car from this park.
It's hard not to feel like a kid again when you visit this spot! Fabulous view over Brooklyn. A must do when in the Coney Island area!
Clean & a great view from the Wonder Wheel.
Great rides, open till late on a weekend. When we were there there were almost no lines, option to buy a day pass with an unlimited quantities of rides.
The famous Deno's Wonder Wheel ride. Don't be to scare to ride this big wheel. Just like most of this area in Brooklyn. It's a lot of landmarks, famous rides, spots to eat at and places to make a stop at. You have the ballpark, Aquarium, Amusement park and the boardwalk to enjoy the views of the sea. A day here is a day to enjoy with memories that will last and stay with you for a long time to come. Hit like/thumbs up if you enjoyed my reviews.
My parents took me to this amusement park and now I'm taking my children. It's a small park but the kids love it.
Was last on here when I was 6. Now bought my 7 and 3 year old here. Very cool experience.
nostalgia. Very nice memorable place to visit in NYC
Always a good time when I visit.
This place is a ghetto amusement park. Carney central. Not sure how it is rated so highly on here because it's crap. Only go here if you like crappy, poorly run kids rides.
The food and ice cream at the entrance is much more expensive than the food and ice cream towards the back of the park. It is very over priced. It's $7 - $10 per ride. If you plan on spending the day here and riding all the rides it's $65. Because it is so expensive, there weren't many lines!
My child had a good time, but it got cold so fast today....
Great place for the whole family with eveything to keep everyone happy from kids to adults
It was gut wrenching, adrenaline pumping excitement paired with scenic views from the top... I swore neva again will I do that, but a few hrs later I was making arrangements to visit next week!
good
It was amazing
Next year that place will be 100 years old
Its kind of pretty good and nice rides.
A classic one of a kind destination
I've been there a few times and it's still quite interesting for the children to go back. The only thing to do for adults is the games. Or the ferries wheel where you have an amazing view from the top. Not expensive and call before to see if they're not booked by any private school.
Great for the Kids ..
five stars is being generous, but that's if you understand the bar is pretty low in Coney and that's not a bad thing! Stranger Things pop-up was fun.
Great ride and views of Coney Island
I always love this place...feel like a kid again
Amazing
Coney Island will always be the greatest. From food, beach, rides & entertainment. Gotta love Coney!! ❤ Highly recommend
This place is a rip off.. 4 dollars for kiddie ride and then they force adults to go on rides and pay for themselves how redicilous. Shame on you for trying to rip off families.. The Farris wheel is 8 a person like seriously No shame
loved it. even tho my daughter got scare of the rides
Great experience. The park still looks very much like it did 20 years ago when Astro Land was around. The city has done a great job at conserving this place. Love the board walk and the beach. Looks a lot cleaner them it did back then. Overall a great experience minutes the tickets. Should be or children tickets not individual or by height.
What a fantastic park for kids of all ages. There is a lot more stuff for younger kids than other amusement parks on the boardwalk, and the Wonder Wheel is a hundred-year-old marvel. I’d definitely check it out first especially if coming with kids under 8 or so.
Swinging is the Only way to go!!! Well, not really- they do offer stationary cars but, what's the point?! Especially when you're bringing someone for the first time who THINKS they're brave - Lol! The Wonder Wheel is 200 years old and still cranking. You get a beautiful view & if you time it right, you can watch the Summer Friday night fireworks from up top! It does spin slowly (to let people on & off) & you only go around twice, hence one star off.
Awesome ride if you are feint hearted I would suggest the stationary carts.
Boring Less rides
Went there during the Stranger Things 3 theme week. It looks amazing! The Wonder Wheel is an instant classic of Coney Island and amazing to experience if you ever get the chance.
They have the best ferris wheel around!!!
The Demo wonder wheel! It's not a huge ferris wheel, but it's cool because some of their viewing cars slide back and forth as the wheel turns (it sounds scarier than it actually is it) You go around 2 times, and each round you slide twice. The wheel looked like it could use a re-painting, though I went at the end of the season. It seemed like the other rides in the park were meant for small children, and there are some carnival games. Everything seemed fairly old and used, and lonely.
Wander full the Best
Great time with the whole family.
Iconic Coney Island bucket list ride, Check! We went on the ferris wheel, views are great from up there. We avoided the swinging cars they just looked a little too vertigo inducing for my 1 & 5 year old. (Babies are allowed on the ride)
Great simple familia fun
Nice amusement park - inside an amusement park! It's not affiliated with Luna Park, but the Wonder Wheel is worth the visit solely. There are also some other rides, mostly for younger people, but still funny.
The kids had a great time thats all that matter
We went at the start of the season on an iffy weather day. When in Coney Island you must ride the Wonder Wheel and Cyclone. Everything else is gravy. A must do once in your lifetime.
My dad took me out here and now a father myself i am keeping the tradition going. It is always a blessing to see the same smiles on my kids face as i had when i was their ages
The Wonder Wheel is my favorite Ferris wheel of all time.
Perfect for the 6 and under set. Lots of rides for little kids. And the wonder wheel! Also, check out the halloween area in fall. It's SCARY!
I love visiting with my family! Great selection of rides. Wonderful ambiance.
A trip to Coney Island isn't complete without a ride on the Wonder Wheel. Choose a moving car for the ultimate thrill (after not being on it for a few years, it sort of scared me). For the faint of heart, pick a stationary car, but I bet you'll hop off and get right back on to take a moving car. The Wonder Wheel boasts no accidents since it was opened, and each year, they write over the existing sign to update the years! The best part for me is the amazing view of the rest of the park and Brooklyn.
Great park for the lil ones 1 ticket is $4 which isn't to bad and they have other great prices..you can come as a group or make new friends while there..located right next to the boardwalk and beach..so if you're tired of being in the park you can walk the boardwalk and check the many restaurants and bars
Love this place been going since childhood now in my 60's
Kids had a great time. Not for the kids over 55 inches tall
Great and friendly staff! Great for kids of all ages and sizes. My youngest nephew had the time of his life!
Way overpriced for the caliber of rides. $8 per person on the Wonder Wheel. A shame, because they would get three times the number of people if they charged half as much.
Came at the stranger things event on june 7th and it was awful. I thought it was going to be a themed event but all that was there was posters. Also we couldn't fine the scoops ahoy ice cream shoppe.
My favorite place during summer break
Historical fun for the family.
On my visit, I didn't even ride... I just walked around soaking in the ambiance. The lights, colors, and sounds experienced in an hour provide enough eye and ear candy to last a lifetime. This tiny, compact park is a work of art itself.
Warriors, come out to play
My 8-year old son had the best day ever. The rides were fun & there's a ton of stuff to do, between the rides, games, boardwalk, & beach.
Perfect for the younger kids in my opinion. I have one elementary age and one toddler and both love it here. Tons of rides for the kiddos. It's easy access to the public bathrooms down the boardwalk or down the ramp near the Wonder Wheel. Food and drinks are obviously priced for profit so if you're feeling a little light in the pockets, bring your own water, drinks and snacks. No one will look twice at you here for it. There are bumper cars, Tilt-o-whirl and the Himalaya style thunderbolt ride are great for the big kids (er, adults) and of course there's the WONDER WHEEL itself. Just a tip, the moving cages are a little unsettling Ala a mild thrill ride. So if you're family isn't sure about going that high and you need to convince them, get on the stationary white cages. It's much nicer and you can get some really lovely pictures of the amusement parks and beach. Go up just before sunset for the best sights. For a mild, easy day in an amusement park, it doesn't get nicer than this. For a bit more intensity, pop over to the more expensive, more crowded, and louder Luna Park. Dinos has pay per ride tickets or chip cards or unlimited Bracelets. The cards are also refillable at vending machines spotted around the place (two side by side in the video game arcade). There's a famiglia pizza spot right inside the gate by the boardwalk upstairs with lots of seating. Take advantage of the summer break and hit the park on weekdays by 2 or 3 for max fun without the traffic or crowds. If you can't and must do an after work trip, go head first and hard. Make it on a Friday and watch the fireworks at 945 PM just outside the gate on the boardwalk. Fun fun fun
Love The Amusement Park,I Have Been In Every Single Ride
We have fun!
Awesome ride if you are feint hearted I would suggest the stationary carts.
Great place for both kids and toddlers. I've been taking my daughter for year and she never gets bored.
Great place to relax and enjoy people watching!
Always have fun when my wife and I go to Coney Island. Always makes me think of the movie The Warriors:)
Not worth the $10 ticket
1st time and I love it
Highly recommended. A gem right in our own backyard. No need to trek to Hershey, Sesame or Six Flags when you can have affordable fun right within the city limits. Classic rides, friendly operators and above all convenience make this a go to entertainment option for the kids and the young at heart. A ride on the Wonder Wheel is a must. Brave the swinging cars for an old fashioned thrill. Pro tip: park at the New York Aquarium, just a few minutes up the boardwalk.
The Stranger Things weekend was very cool to experience. I've always wanted to visit the amusement park at Coney Island and was not disappointed.
You cant say you live in brooklyn unless you have been on the wonder wheel. This place is legendary.Scared the pants off the kiddies but they loved it.Great view when you get to the top.Definitely go for the moving cars but if you are a wimp the stationary cars are ok too.
Fun place for kids
It's the wonder wheel! You have to go.
Ignore the surly teenagers working the booth outside and go straight into the park to buy tickets. They have a pet day each year so you can bring your critter on the Wonder Wheel, we opted for the stationary (not swinging) car and had a great time.
A great one for the kiddies
Had lots of fun
I lost my lunch on the wonder wheel. Some passengers in a car below us found it...
