Straight out of the 80s, but with prices to match. Immaculately maintained, someone loves this place. Great place to take kids.

I was not familiar with candle-pin bowling until I moved to New England. Now it's a family tradition. Five stars for Wakefield Bowladrome!

My dear "old" friend and I hadn't been bowling in over 40 years. We visited the Wakefield Bowladrome last Friday night and had a wonderful time. The bowling alley is immaculate, prices were quite reasonable, and the gentleman working that evening could not have been nicer, more helpful or more patient. Thanks for bringing back a bit of our childhood, we will definitely be back!!

Super old school bowling alley with no frills. Perfect if you want to just candlepin bowl. Not crowded on a weeknight

Erik Millett

Love the nostalgia of Wakefield Bowladrome. Paper scoring, pushing the button to end your turn, no automation. This is how bowling SHOULD be

Romka Ryabinkin

Outdated a bit (have to keep scores on paper)... but super friendly and reasonably priced !!!

Brian Sensale

Old school candlepin, BYO.

Flashback to my youth, no screens, no distractions and you need to push a button to clear the pins. This place is lost in a time warp. Check out the rest room signs.

Debra Doherty

Called to get hours and it was closed and the number listed is a fax number. Should be a machine with a schedule of when they are open

Kellie Zukowski

Very authentic Great prices Great time

A true original! No automatic scoring or reset. The only thing that has changed in this Candlepin bowling alley is they put out pens for the score sheet not pencils!

Cash only and no atm come to this century

This is a fun but very old-fashioned bowling alley. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There are no electronic screens and food and drink are sold by vending machines.

John .

Small bowling alley. But one of the few candlepin alleys remaining.

George Buza

Its a really old school bowling place. Cheap prices and extremely well maintained and clean. The owner was one one of the nicest and funniest guys I have met. Definitely look forward to visiting again.

I've been bowling here all my life. They have leagues for all ages and it is very low priced. The classic candlepin bowling is awesome and they have an old time feel. The workers are very nice and all are welcomed to this amazing small town bowladrome.

Excellent management

Not very younger kid friendly. Came during Feb. vacation with my 3 and 5 year old for their first bowling experience. Was told by staff they are going to need to roll the balls harder because I can’t keep going down the lane to clean up the balls that were stuck in the gutters. I only did that twice in the span of an hour and did so very carefully. So we left promptly since I’m sure they can’t roll the balls harder. I would recommend a different place for younger kids.

This place is very well maintained and has stayed authentic. The floors are still waxed well and still look new. A very nice ally.

Fun candle pin bowling. They only accept cash but you're allowed to bring outside food.

Bobby Conlon

Robert Bresten

Fun, cheap and easy to get a lane but it's straight out of the 50's in terms of aesthetics.

Stephen Gemme

Excellent Candlepin place! I agree with John about the place not being renovated since the 70's, but I feel like it adds to the candlepin experience. The workers there are super friendly and even use witty banter to make you feel welcome. The place is very clean, and prices super reasonable. If you're in the area and want good candlepin, I recommend going here.

Anna Carmem

A super retro place ... nice and full of good memories.

Old school! Great family atmosphere. Pay by the hour bowling is great for kids - roll as many pins as you’d like for the hourly fee.

Great old school candlepin bowling, awesome for families, and the price is fantastic. Be advised though that there's no snack bar.
