REVIEWS OF Wadleigh State Park IN New Hampshire

Dpuck Fishing and Outdoors

Quiet, clean and peaceful. It is never crowded, littered or not peaceful.

Andrew Morris

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, clean spot. Water shoes highly recommended! Some sharp stones and mussels.

marc bouchard

Wadleigh State Park is a family joke. We call it Mussel Pond, because there are so many bivalves in the swimming area that you have to step over them to get to the deeper water. There are no amenities. No snack bar. A very old school playground for the kids. Some picnic benches, parking and that's about it. HOWEVER! The water is clean and cool, the beaches clean, the sounds quiet and the price is dirt-cheap. If you're looking for a family-friendly, low-stress swimming area, you can't beat it. Even on weekends it's relatively quiet, because it's off the beaten track. Yet only 30 minutes up 89 from Concord. Rustic New Hampshire at it's best! PS check out the general store near the entrance road to the park. A gem.

Free to seniors, nice breeze by the lake. Well kept.

Well kept, relatively quiet, good for swimming. Note: The beach is mostly sand but has small pebbles.Water shoes may be preferred for some people.

It was great to have clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Granted it was a week day, but it wasn't crowded at all. We were there to paddle board so cannot comment on how clean & clam free the bottom is. It was fun to explore a new to us lake.

Easy to navigate and not crowded. The spot we stopped at allowed for wading dozens of feet from shore for even our little ones.

A some troubles finding the trailhead for King Pine. Based on snow coverage. Great hike with solid view... wish we remembered our sleds for the hike down.

What an amazing little gem. To bad the State couldn't spend a little money and fix up the bathrooms here. The lake is wonderful. I think the state should put in a toll gate to pay for parking (Because they can't afford to have someone at the gate). Then the could afford to have a lifeguard who could open up the boat house. What happen to the days when our state parks had money.

All of our State Parks (with a few notable exceptions) are underfunded and bearly maintained. Thank goodness for the volunteers and the generosity of local businesses for stepping in where the State fails.

Beautiful little lake and park for swimming, picnicing, kayaking, partying with family and friends. No lifeguards, carry-on carry-on state park. There are clean bathrooms and the grounds are very well maintained. Great place for all ages. Water is shallow for quite a ways out so the water is generally nice and warm.

Melissa Page

Excellent place to bring your family and barbeque, swim, canoe, kayak and even hike. Has picnic tables, a playground, public restrooms and shade areas if you don't want to sit in the sun. Highly recommend. We return again and again..

Tamera B

My favorite place to swim. Perfect for families with young kids and older kids. I would not recommend for elderly or those with walking difficulty as there is some uneven terrain and tree roots that stick up.

WEAR WATER SHOES!! There is an abundance of fresh-water muscles, which won't bother you, but you can get good sized cuts on your feet from their sharp edges if you're not careful. Beautiful and clean park. The water was very warm, almost like bath water (can be good or bad depending on your preferences).

Good swimming and fishing.

My go to spot on a hot day. Sit in the shade next to the water and relax. I wanted to give it one star so it would stay quiet but am too honest.
