This Park is included in the category of Historical place.
Beautiful grounds and artwork. Plenty of room for our motorhome to park in field. Let the dogs play a little before walking around. Great place for picnic lunch. Wish we could come back for star party.
Very peaceful location. There were several ranger led talks and plenty of staff to answer questions. The only disappointment is on the obvious lack of federal funds. Some of the gardens needed some tending to as well as some exterior maintenance. They are currently in the process of fixing the little studio. A nice touch is that volunteers place flower arrangements around the property using flowers from the gardens.
Wonderful music in the historical setting of the Saint-Gaudens studios and estate. This is New Hampshire's only National Historic Park. National Park's 103 birthday!!!
Absolutely gorgeous site. The artwork by Augustus St. Gaudens is truly awe-inspiring. The estate is set in a gorgeous woodland paradise with lots of nature abounding. This is a great place to take in art & nature, combined very organically, and learn about one amazing sculptor. My husband & I both loved it & would happily visit again.
Very nice park
Saint-Gaudens' art is exquisitely displayed in the various venues of his spectacular property. I highly recommend a visit.
Entrance is a bit much but it's a great place to visit.
It's really nice
Very awesome place you could learn a lot of cool stuff if you go here!
Beautiful art, buildings, and views
Beautiful, great people working there, and lovely gardens and walking paths around sculpture.
Just not what I expected.for a 10.00 entrance fee. I did not go in guided tour . Maybe that would gave been better. Your entrance fee is good for 7 days , if you want to go back. Nice to know
I only had time for a short stop as I traveled through the area. It's worth a trip in its own right, and I look forward to going back there.
Must see if you are into Historic homes and art. The second Black Soldiers Civil War monument is here. MUST SEE
Great Park to check out! Beautiful property to explore.
Very nice place
Nice place to visit
Nice nature walk and gardens
Wonderful place. Good history. Home, studio, gardens, visiting artists. $20 gold piece designer.
A hidden gem, especially for persons that enjoy art, nature or history.
A fascinating collection of works by America's greatest sculpter
Having been to Saint-Gaudens multiple times, this place always finds a way to be fresh on each visit. The park rangers are always friendly and happy to engage and answer any questions that are brought up. It is worth the time to visit the entire grounds as there are many out of the way areas that are worth discovering. I am always finding something new whenever I visit.
A must visit for everyone
Hidden gem. Picturesque place to relax and enjoy the estate grounds.
my fav
A really beautiful place with a lot of amazing sculptures
Always relaxing and beautiful!
Saint-Gaudens is a can't miss visit along with the American precision museum the Constitution House and artisans park when you are in the Windsor area. Look for special events at the adjacent blow me down farm.
The National Park Service always delivers. Here at NH's only site is the former home and workshop of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, one of America's foremost sculptors. If you have been to a major city in America, you have most definitely seen one of his sculptures. The entire site can be seen in 60-90 minutes including the park film.
Very informative and interesting tours, beatful sculptures, house, and garden. We spent about three hours here, packed of things to see and hear.
It was amazing to walk around and see everything. Definitely worth checking out.
A great site to learn about and experience the life and work of a historic artist. The grounds have a handful of his sculptures on display, and feature scenic plants and gardens. The house is open for tours, however, we were on a tight schedule and opted not to go inside. NPS sites such as this make the America the Beautiful annual pass a worthy investment, as they are all included, along with the big parks.
Fascinating and well cared for park. Certainly worth the visit.
Spectacular setting and grounds, yet feels secluded and off the beaten track. Low key space and materials provided for creating small crafts, good for kids and adults.
Great historic place. Excellent hike nearby.
Interesting artwork and great staff! Smaller then expected. Peaceful atmosphere. Quiet. Could spend a couple hours here exploring.
NH only National Historic Site
Really nice hike .
It's cool.
Gorgeous and inspiring. Worth a hike with someone special
Great place to see Gaudens's sculptures, but I would suggest waiting until their summer season when the exhibition spaces are open.
Clean, relaxing and informational place to spend a few hours.
Peaceful, interesting, historic
Absolutely beautiful
Pretty awesome! It was beautiful, interesting and worth the trip!
So fun! Staff was so kind and tour guide was great! Many cool things here and many things to do. Great view and very secluded and gorgeous. So cool to see his house, studio, barn, and property. Also very cool to visit the artist in residence. They can teach you some pretty cool things. I would live there if I could!
Just Perfect-Wonderful setting for wonderful history and wonderful art. And, at times, wonderful music. Do also explore the trails.
Beautiful small National Park dedicated to one of America's most famous late 1900's artist. The area is also noted for the Cornish Art Colony that St. Gaudens was a member of. If in the area worth a visit.
Beautiful gardens and large displays of his monuments.
Only National Park in NH, pretty interesting. Be sure to go during good weather as a lot of it is outdoors.
Lovely historical site and definitely worth the drive to see. They allow small self guided house tours. If you like classical music they do a Sunday summer concert series. Though it can be a little crowded. If you are only there to tour the grounds you will not be able to see on of the buildings because they use it for the band to set up.
A treasure, well worth the time to visit.
Beautiful outdoor museum
Be sure to take the tour, their artist in residence does a great job of explaining how bronze sculptures are made.
Plan your visit during concert series and enjoy picnic and music in a beautiful setting. Bring blanket and chairs to sit outdoors, speakers are set up on porch to send music outside. Tour the grounds before or after the concert for one admission price. National park pass is accepted too. Great day trip!
Lots to see, worth the trip!
We meandered in the slush, dodging woodchuck dropping, ice and muddy rivulets. At least it was free. The monuments we saw (some were covered against weather, and the buildings closed) were pretty cool.
I like history I like art I like green grass and flowers I say it's definitely worth the trip to Cornish then you can take the bridge over to Windsor Vermont which is really nothing there but we didn't Venture very far but the same God owns historical place was great
Why am I here
Amazing grounds. Loved the house and the history. What an amazing jewel hidden on the border of NH and VT. Brings the kids they will love it.
One of my favorite places to visit.
Beautiful beyond words. St Gaudens is an inexpensive getaway for couples or families. Plenty of room for the kids to run. A nature trail for a quick hike. Art and history nestled high in the hills of Cornish NH.
A hidden NPS gem dedicated to a largely forgotten American master.
Beautiful. Not as artsy as you may think. Not young child friendly.
Beautiful sculptures and the tour guide, Ray was very informative.
Beautiful scenery, lots of parking, great hours to see the property
Volunteering Here
Great history located on beautiful acreage. The hike around the property was easy. The dense forest was amazing with the fall change of color
Many beautiful sculptures created by St Hayden's. Grounds were exceptional.
Great sculptures
Very nice art work. Web-site under promotes. Friends took us there and way better than my expectations
Very beautiful grounds and sculpture gardens. Surprisingly interesting and well worth a visit! You can see everything in a couple of hours. If you're in the area, don't miss this!
A hidden gem in an enchanting setting. A wonderful experience, educational, historical and patriotic al at the same time. You'll love it with family, friends or on you own!
Beautiful Historic Site. Great place to spend a few hours exploring on a nice day since everything is pretty much a outdoors.
Beautiful setting and so inspiring! A must see.
Very interesting location, very interesting life on the sculpturer
Very interesting place to visit. Well maintained.
Beautiful grounds, very knowledgeable staff and some real American history & beauty created by very talented people. When you see the pieces you'll recognize almost all of Saint Gaudens' work! The grounds are so well kept and the view!!!! Thanks to the staff for keeping it in fantastic shape! Proud to be American!
Our guide was wonderfully informative. Also self guided short tour and a movie. Art interest & history in the area is prevalent
Beautiful historic site
Wonderful and remarkable place..
Surprising discoveries await at this hidden estate on the Vermont/New Hampshire border. The home and buildings are charming in and of themselves but the sculptures on the premises are breath-taking. The views of Mt. Ascutney in VT are beautiful and the foliage at this time of year was just beginning to turn.
Love this place
Lovely setting, beautiful art, landscaping always amazes me. Friendly park staff. Variety of events offered. National Park in our own town!
Beautiful place filled with both history and art. One of our sculptor who created masterpieces that we're all familiar with made a stunning home in Cornish. I only wished I had more time to walk around! I'm definitely up for going back and spending more time exploring.
A pilgrimage every sculptor or lover of the arts should make! The garden and grounds are absolutely breathtaking. The historical home are wonderfully preserved and several of his notable works are recast in bronze and on display. The park hosts a sculptor in residence who is around working so you can see the process, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Just, incredible.
I love love love this place. Full of history, art and a great place to walk, both in fields and on forest trails. Great for family members of all ages.
Home and studio of the great American sculptor and coin designer Augustus St. Gaudens. Park rangers conduct house tours, but admission includes access to freely wander the studio building and gallery in season as well as the modern visitor center and the expansive grounds which contain full size castings of many of his most iconic monuments in outdoor settings as they were meant to be displayed, along with flower gardens and mountain views. Just wish there was an accessible picnic area, especially as there is no food service and if you're into it you can really spend time here!
This is a very spectacular place to visit and explore. Lots of statues and even paintings from other artists. Lovely views of the mountains. There is a nice trail as well for those that are more mobile. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. This is a must visit.
Loved the art, the gardens and the house your. We continue to come back.
Very pretty place
Amazing sculptures on beautiful grounds!
Awesome
This is a wonderful experience. It was educational, historical, and patriotic. The guide made it special.
Very interesting and well done extra exhibits.
Best hidden gem of little quaint town of Cornish NH! Definitely great way to spend a few hours and be sure to bring your camera!
Beautiful grounds, insightful history, dazzling art.
A definite must see.
Extremely rude staff, shocked and disappointed.
A wonderful place to visit.
Wonderful historical sight, a must vlsit
Beautiful setting.
It's a beautiful site, especially to come here when it's not crowded by tourists!
Nice
this is a great place to visit during the fall. the grounds and house's are beautiful but the main reason i went here to see sculptor of The 54th Regiment was the nation's first all African-American regiment in the Civil War that was use for the movie "glory" so if you want to see how one of america's greatest sculptor work and live. stop here you won't be disappointed.
Nice
Historical, sculptures..
Very lovely spot.
Beautiful place! I took senior photos for a friend there and the location was absolutely perfect.
Beautiful farm and very moving exhibits.
Beautiful historic site. Lots of outdoor sculptures and areas to walk around in. Outdoor walking trails. Indoor exhibits as well. Enough to look at that you could come on a couple of different days.
A small park. Nice for a short visit.
A beautifully landscaped slice of New England heaven.
Great hidden gem
Very relaxing & beautiful
Very good place for pictures.
Think Lincoln Memorial, Gaudens works and family estate are open to the public, with a fee(10.) you can tour the inside; the working model of the Lincoln Memorial is there as are hundreds of other work's. Very well kept and currently under some repairs, roofing. Sunday at 2:00 are weekly concerts, check website. Picnic on the lawns, bring in & take out everything. Bring a chair and take it all in, sun screen, bug spray, walking shoes are all key. Views of the CT River & Mt. Ascutney. This the real deal check it out.
Abraham is humbling
Fun visit. Cranky guy at gift store but think he was upset with wedding people. They did make seeing some sculptures difficult.
Packed with excellent examples of Sait-Gaudens sculptures. Friendly and informative tour guides.
Unexpected pleasure. Breathtaking sculptures
Outdoor Sculpture Garden on steroids. Beautiful grounds to tour well you view some of the sculptures greatest works.
Gorgeous grounds, amazing sculptures and an interesting story. Has some nice trails and a few quiet spot picnic tables
Well worth the visit. The estate is very nice
Wonderful estate, beautiful gardens, sculptures are stunning.
If you are a fan of history and/or sculpture, this is a good place to visit. The main house was closed when I was there so I didn't get to see the interior.
So beautiful! It's a peaceful place.
Worth visiting, a Great Park
Loved it. Your ticket purchase ($7) allows you to return anytime within 7 days. Beautiful views. Staff is friendly and welcoming. a national treasure. Bring a picnic lunch.
Our tour guide Chris was excellent! Lovely day!!
A quick and compressed but substantial introduction and review of his work and the era.
We went during the summer when they have a music concert during the weekend! The musicians were very good and it was fun to listen while sitting on the lawn or walking through the gardens and enjoying the art of Saint-Gaudens.
10 out of 10.
Even though the park was in winter schedule, the outside statues were spectacular.
Quiet, informative, and beautiful. This is a piece of our local history. It is low-key and slow pace. Yet, if you will give it about 90 minutes, you will learn about some amazing artist.
Beautiful, inspiring, secluded Nat'l Parks' site sharing life story and art works of St.-Gaudens. Home and workshops available to view. A gem for the right visitors.
Beautiful historic site located in the hills of Cornish. Every year there are several events held here including concerts, graduations, weddings, etc. Excellent place to visit!
Beautiful place
Love, love Saint Gaudens. Beautiful sculptures and gorgeous grounds. The house is very interesting. Worth the trip.
This place was huge and very interesting. I really enjoyed exploring the grounds and learning about Saint-Gaudens.
Very interesting educational 6well played out
