Its a pretty decent establishment with fun activities but not enough for a full day of excitement for the children. A little expensive as everything is charged separately if I remember correctly. The go karts are fun and there is a lunch place just next door. All in all worth a visit but nothing special and no stand out attractions.

My boyfriend and I love the mini golf courses and the batting cages. (Although the batting cages usually malfunction) The restaurant there is delicious! I do think they need to put some money into fixing a few things though.

Great place to bring anyone with! Or you could even just go by yourself! With the amount of new stuff coming, it will be even more fun than it already is with mini golf, lasertag, a laser maze, a go-kart raceway, great food and ice cream, and the staff are really nice!! Highly recommend coming here if you want to go somewhere fun!!!

Attempted to use their batting cages on 9/23 around 6pm. As soon as I pulled in, I was charged $5 parking fee (parking has always been free). This was due to Nightmare New England opening up. I get to the batting cages purchase $12 worth of tokens, and the first cage I go to is broken and there is no attendant. I flag down an attendant monitoring the go-cart races and he radios for assistance. 10 minutes waiting in the cages no one comes. I got back to the go cart attendant, and he yells to the kid next to me to go to the pit and fix it (I'm assuming it was his brother?). The kid goes down, looks at it and tells me to go to the modified fast pitch cage because he can't fix (or wont) fix it. I didn't want modified fast pitch, but I go to that cage anyway and it takes my token but never starts. I complain to the batting cage desk and they just hand me 2 more tokens like this happens all the time. At this point there is a line outside the only cage that appears to be working, until it starts eating every other token without starting. Down 4 tokens and only getting to swing at 3 pitches, I return to the batting counter hand them my 7 tokens and ask for a refund. I was informed that they do not give refunds for tokens and that I could just come back another day. I'm out $17 at this point... and no "Fun". The only people that really seemed to care about helping the customer was the go cart attendant and the parking lot manager who refunded my $5 parking fee.

I just about got arrested tonight at Mels Funway Park. I walk in to the restaurant from the outside sitting area, I have already received my food, and other then the mediocre food everything was fine. As I approach the restroom, a very large employee sitting down at a table eating very rudely says "the restroom is for paying customer's only". Now, if she was polite, I guess I would have just turned around and politely told her I was a paying customer. But seeing as she was rude, and obviously on some sort of break I just ignored her and kept walking. She then yells, " the restroom is for paying customers only". I turned around, and say "really". I then walk into the restroom, but before I do, the "owner" stops me from screaming across the restaurant, " she said the restroom was for paying customers, get the hell out of my restaurant". So now I'm a little heated, I say " before or after I pay my bill?" He says "o, your eating here". I finally enter the restroom. When I come out, the obese woman sitting still eating, says "sorry". I said " no, your incredibly rude" the owner then kicks me out, tells me to pay and leave. I go outside, find my waitress, I explained the situation, and that I needed to pay quickly. She said wait let me go find the owner. Oh joy I thought, I get to see him again. After about 5 minutes of me standing outside of the restaurant waiting for somebody to come outside so I could pay them, I walked away. Once in line at the bumper cars, they lovely police officer taps me on the shoulder. Let's just say, the night was ruined. I did not get arrested, however my five year old son seeing me taken away from him and spoken to five police officers, over having to go to the bathroom completely ruined our evening. Obviously the owner of Mel's has made plenty of cash over the years, they no longer see that need to practice customer service. The food was not that great, the beer was warm, and the service was just "a friend helping out". Don't go here, if you do, avoid the diner. Bradley Yates

Half of the mini golf course was under construction and the usable half was dirty and not very well maintained. The other attractions were fine but there just wasn't that much to do.

We did the laser birthday package for our 7 year olds birthday party on 8/5/17. I think we lucked out because it was raining that day and the park was slow, so the kids pretty much had the laser building to themselves. The staff was great. They allowed the kids to explore the rooms while we were waiting for everyone to arrive for the party. They were friendly and professional especially Caleb our party helper. Every time I tried to do something, he was right there to take over and kept saying, "Let me do that. I don't want you to have to do anything." The most important part is the kids had a blast! It was well worth the cost.

The maintenance for this place seems to be going downhill. Golf balls for mini golf are not sorted by color. Golf clubs are torn and ratty. Course needs upkeep. The go carts are always a good time. Did laser craze and the staff could've cared less about explaining how the game works or any sort of organization. "Go ahead and go play". The place used to be a fun place to be but feel the quality and care of the place has gone down hill.

Its not really as I remember it. The place is pretty old but it is in need of a remodel, as there's a lot of stuff broken, especially in the arcade. In the arcade literally half the games were broken or not working properly and over priced for a game. The batting cages are alright, though I wasted 2 tokens just for it not to dispense and balls Laser Tag, half of the vests are broken or not working properly and the Laser maze needs more variety I stead of the one course there is.. And possibly a way to automatically reset it. Mini golf wad alright, but could be redone and is very unclear were to place the balls. The Go Karts were the best things to do in the agile place, though there are a couple karts with loose steering wheels and you only get 3 rides with the all day pass Also the free soft serve icecream should actually be full for the cups and not hollow in the middle to make it look more Over all its not worth an all day pass (39.50) when you can go to canobie lake (38.00) and go on plenty more rides that are a lot better and actually worth it.

We had a blast there celebrating my daughter's 14th. Get a day pass....totally worth it. Everything included, free soft serve with one topping, and three go cart rides. If you are spending the day it pays for itself easily. Only thing they need to do is adjust some of the softball cages...they often give lousy pitches, hitting the top of the overhang or not making it into the cage. Other than that, we had a blast!

Over priced. The laser tag vest was broken and all they said was sorry still paid for a game I didn't get. Go carts were ok but they would let my girlfriends son drive and he was easy an inch over the line her nice who is the same height got to drive. They are both 59 inches. Crazy drove all the way there to watch a 9 year old cry and play 20 seconds of laser tag and be told there's nothing that could be done.

Most amazing people. Me and my family were going camping in our RV and it broke down. Temps reached over 100 degrees. We pulled in to figure out what to do and they treated us so great. Let all of us go inside with the AC and even let us bring our dog in. Gave the kids some ice cream and let them do the lazer maze. Even let us keep the RV there until we can get it towed. They were life savers. Thank you all so so much. BEST STAFF EVER!!!!!

Went for a company outing. Spent time with the mini golf and the go carts. Both were a lot of fun! Staff was friendly and professional. I don't know if I would go on my own again, but this isn't the usual thing I go out to.

Go carts, laser tag, mini golf, batting cages, diving range, arcade games and soon, BUMPER BOATS! What's not to like? They could have better signage. When you first pull in it's confusing on where to go. It's building one, all the wat to the right by the event tents. It's worth getting the wrist band if you're going to spend the day. Kids too small to ride go carts alone can ride with someone over the age of 18. You could bring a cooler and snack from the back of your car, or they have a standard snack bar. Come check this place out in the fall when the haunted house opens up!

Pathetic excuse of an establishment. Last night I watched these scumbags serve a lady and her boyfriend completely wrong orders, and then when they complained about the food they TOOK AWAY THE PLATE, refused to serve them a proper meal, and demanded them to pay for the incorrect food that was taken away. When they obviously refused, they CALLED THE POLICE and had the police force them to pay. This place is a scam and a disgusting joke of a restaurant. Do not come here.

Mel's is a great place for kids and young adults (and anyone who likes mini-golf). They had two mini-golf courses which weren't the most exciting but were fun but now they're renovating them to make them even better. Plus they have ice cream, batting cages, gokarts, and an arcade.

This is not a bus driver friendly location. We were sent to the open field across to park for the day. Some places allow for driver's to seek shelter from heat and sun, offer some vending machines, microwaves, etc. Some offer free coffee. Some allow us to hang out in the park. Whatever happens, the driver is responsible for staying alert for the ride home. I suggest the facility management come up with a plan.

Arcade is a scam. After playing a game of mini golf which was fun we decided to go to the arcade. The automated prize vending machine refused to scan my 16 ticket slip so I went to the counter and they said oh sorry here’s 1 dollar. Most of the games are either 50 cents or a dollar to play. The average win on these machines is about three tickets. The minimum prize is 25 tickets which is a bouncy ball. So after playing the dollar they gave me I only had 21 tickets so not even enough to get the minimum prize. I am furious at the scam this arcade is. It’s horrible!!!

For the diner. Was terrible. Food was bland and not fresh. Was frozen. Wait time was terrible. NEVER COMING BACK. Do not go here if you are looking for diner food. Worst time. Had to wait for a table and took about 20 or 30 minutes to take our orders and about an hour for our food.

Don't waste your money on the batting cages.... after trying 3 machines (Iron Mike) and almost 75 pitches, I counted maybe16 strikes. I expressed my dismay to the staff as to why the machines were so out of calibration... they responded that the machines go out and they seldom work on adjustments. I felt sorry for the kids whose pitches were well over their shoulders and could understand their frustration .... Thanks for your help in turning kids away from what used to be called Americas Game. - A Liberal Umpire

I went on a fieldtrip here to end off the year. It was very fun until before we had to leave. I bought a coin to go on the carts and then we had to leave. I had tried to return my coin and the lady said "no". I dont think its that hard to give me five dollars back. She told me I could come back and use it, however I dont want to go back here and i dont plan on coming back with my family. Mels ripped off a child, my expeirience was amazing until this.

My family planned an outing to Mel's for golf. Was under construction..? August rennovations? We then went to Mel's Diner to eat and it was filled with dirty tables. The one waitress told us we could sit anywhere but she needed to clean tables off. We sat at the only booth and the waitress proceeded to clean all the empty tables and ignored us and we were the only customers waiting to sit. Another family walked out with us for not getting an order taken. The go kart cost is way too expensive at $9 per ride.

Always check Groupon before you go. The staff is super friendly. I don't recommend eating at the Gale because it is kinda pricey. But the ice cream shoppe it's really good and has food there. Lazer tag is a must. The Lazer Maze is boring. The driving range is great during the day but the range isn't lit at night so you have no idea where you hit your balls. The mini-golf courses are challenging but they need some of the holes maintained. The carpets are worn and the cups are bent and gapped from the greens. The go-kart track is awesome and the cars have appropriate speed. You can even drift if you know what you are doing.

Fun place to spend a day! I went here because of a company picnic and it was surprisingly fun for a late-20s dude with no kids. Go karts, mini golf, and laser tag were definitely the top 3 of my experience. Their ice cream is surprisingly great as well! I got a blueberry milkshake and it was perfection.

Mel's is a great place to have some fun. They've got go-karts, batting cages, mini golf, laser tag, and an arcade. In the fall, they've also got SpookyWorld. I've always had a great time there, whether it's for a graduation party or just a quick stop with friends.

Go carts were fun, laser tag needs to be bigger. No ready walkway between areas.. So all the kids are running around the parking lot to get from place to place. Batting cages were good. Driving range was closed.

The new remodeling of the golf course has made it virutually impossible to play golf in under two hours. But, the Go-Karts are always very fun. SpookyWorld is also pretty fun but I wouldn't recommend the laser tag, laser maze or arcade.

The best thing about the place was the food believe it or not. Mini golf course was Not in good shape at all. The arcade had two quarter machines with no quarters in them for kids to get change To play games and it was only 7 PM at night. I don’t recommend you take your children here unless you want to take a chance

Attended Spooky world in october. Super fun haunted attraction walk thrus. Props amazing. Creepy characters walking around the park, five dollar brews, fair food, VIP option, had a great time with my significant other but would also recommend for families with kids that arent afraid of getting spooked by masked men with chainsaws

Mini golf was pretty standard. One of the two courses is under construction and the driving range is closed this season. The arcade was very crowded. We didn't get a chance to go on the go karts as it had just rained and the track was wet.

Getting run down. Kids who run it are not well trained. My son and friend had laser tag that didn't work. Game operator admitted she had very little experience. The 16 year old manager refused to give us a refund. People were giving away tokens to the batting cages. My son who loves baseball gave it a try and was disgusted with how poorly the machine worked. The afternoon was very expensive and not much fun.

We absolutely loved Mel's Funway Park. My son loved the mini golf and I loved the go-carts.

I rated Mel's @ 3 stars because of a few factors, if I could have given a half star, I would have given them 2.5. The positives: It has a good amount of attractions, for a mini golf place. The staff is friendly, and (for me at least), it's local. The negatives: 1- I can't stand the layout. When you go between the attractions, you have to cross back, and forth across the parking lot. When with excited (not always paying attention) young kids in tow, it always stresses me out having to walk across that lot. I hate to sound like a whiney overly safety concious parent, but it's a hazard that doesn't need to be there. I never understood why they don't just make a walkway between the attractions. 2- The mini golf is not good. it's obvious they didn't put a lot of thought into the layout of that either. Lots of spots where the ball gets stuck in a corner, or easily jumps the area, and ends up going into another hole, or the water. Also, (last night was much better) the music is usually blasting out of that tinny PA system. I find it annoying, when trying to have a conversation with your kid(s), and you can barely hear over the stupid sound system. 3- The place needs some TLC. It's starting to show it's age. The go cart we had last night was a POS. I never took my foot off the gas, once, and got lapped by the whole field. That's tough to do in the time frame they give you, so you know that thing was beat. Most of those cars wreak of gas fumes. Had two kids in two separate batting cages, and both had issues with putting in the token, and either the pitching arm not working at all, or working, and not feeding the balls. Either way, that equals disappointed kids. It wasn't worth it to me to have to stand back in line to try and get the tokens back. Which brings me to number- 4- The line to pay for this stuff, is usually way too long (not so much length wise, but just standing there for ten minutes to buy something) is too much. And it's on one end of the park, which forces you to have to cross the length of the parking lot, when going between attractions.

Miniature golf area under construction since it needs lots of work. Charged too much for playing on a deteriorated golf area.

I love this Park, its awesome. I always go here with my family especially when Halloween comes around and spooky World is fun.
