This Park is included in the category of Park.
Love the walking paths around the mountain. Great views, decent short hike that you don't have to go waaayyyyyy outta town for, and barely ever crowded to speak of.
It's a great place inside Reno for a good view of the surrounding area if you're willing to go just a hair off path, and it has a decent walking/running path around the whole park.
Live near by and love it! Only big problem is people having there dogs off leash and last week a shepard mix almost bit me while off leash. The owners disregard the all dogs on leash law at the park and trail, this is why I give it 3 stars. So be careful.
Beautiful small park located in a small neighborhood. Small child play area and adequate greenery/hills. Parking is along perimeter of park on surrounding streets.
Fun
What's there not to like. It's not too far away from the city. There is a grassy park, with trees and a stream running through it. You can jog, bike or walk and there's a pavilion near the top of the highest point with an amazing view. And on a warm and windy day it's a great way to meditate and enjoy the outdoors without going to far away from downtown Reno :D
Nice park wish bathrooms were unlocked
Great place for a beginners hike (my 3 year old loved the hike). But the playgrounds are not very nice, plus they are small.
Nice park
I run here almost every other day. Beautiful view, the trail is short and challenging. Very enjoyable place to go for a walk or run.
Excellent park for all families. Hiking as well is an option.
We live close by and the park is always clean. We like to take sleds with us when it snows so we can take advantage of the snow covered hills without having to drive far.
Amazing trails and great views
Wonderful park. Beautiful! Hiking trails and covered eating area.
Very tranquil and pretty on weekday mornings.
Beautiful
Very well maintained
Beautiful walking trail
Nice place for children to get outdoors!
Really nice i love It..
Beautiful short hike with great views
Great hiking trails. If you're into scale rock crawling, this is a great place to visit.
If you're not color your shunned
Small, but clean
Nice lil trail park with a good view.
Not a neighborhood park. For a place to picnic with kids, go to close by Jamaica Park.
Love this place....so much fun to walk and run/jog. Great workout and great place to walk dogs
Really nice park, tucked away in a residential neighborhood.
Great place to escape the rat race od being in town
The wild horses are so beautiful
My grandchildren love to hike this trail!
Great place to hike
Go on the trail a lot
Great location with lots of trails and wonderful scenery!
Most of these reviews are for the small park at the corner of Huffaker and Offenhauser which is also called Huffaker Park. Why are there two Huffaker Parks? Well, they used to be connected until development and IGT split them apart, but the City of Reno, in their lightning speed of reaction, has yet to rename the smaller park and hence there will be confusion for all. Even Google is confused and thinks the bigger park is a measly 9-acres and doesn't even put any name on the smaller park which has a baseball diamond and tennis courts. How can Huffaker Park (the big one) be a neighborhood park that spans three neighborhoods? More like a regional park with a big dam if you ask me.
This is where I had my first date with my baby
Nice little Park
Nice
Good park, lots of space, lots of my childhood happened here.
Paths are very rocky and hard to run on, otherwise great trails!
Wilderness hike in middle of Reno with great views of city and mountains.
Nice park to walk or run on a 1.7 mile trail with scenic views.
Nice views. Sunny and spacious.
Very nice

Perfect easy hike with 360 degree views and easy to drive here as it's near the freeway. No shade, clean walking paths , dog friendly with occasional messes left behind and some initial elevation but easy after that. Less than 2 miles around the whole thing.
Nice green space with plenty of open trails. Even a small drainage with running water. Supports small aquatic animals and numerous bird life.
I Live super close and walk here almost everyday. Great views and always pleasent people walking or running.
Nice park to take a stroll or walk dogs. Usually kept pretty clean. No bathrooms is a downfall.
One of the best walking paths in the city. It really kicks your behind and a great way to get a little fresh air. Watch out there are reptiles present nothing to worry about though keep your eyes open.
Great view!

Son loves this place
Great hiking,veiw!
To call this a park is ambitious
This park has it all. My favorite part is Huffaker Hill, an amazing place to run laps around if you want a hill filled challenge. It offers a gorgeous view of the city. There's a large green open field for any kinds of games. A baseball diamond, a playground, as well as a place to grill and sit under shade.
Great little park, needs a little bit of love but a great place for the kids.
A lot of walking
Beautiful scenery. Awesome forbfamily, rent.
Its a park nothibg special unless your planning a Bday
Great park there are swings. Slides. And walking paths if you want to walk your dogs. Small creek nearby.
So beautiful!
Great hike with great views. You could see the residential area and hotels up on the hills. Definitely coming back.
Beautiful park for a morning hike.
So beautiful!!
My son loves coming here.
I loved the hike up rattlesnake mountain. If you go slow it takes about an hour. Top is fairly steep. So worth getting to the top? The views are majestic. I am sure the name scares some people away but I didn't hear or see any rattlesnakes.
Views are great but too much dog poop everywhere!
Beautiful area!
Nice to come here on a 65 degree day there tiny mountain hills to climb for new hikers or people to start training there muscles again good spot abundant sunshine bring water it still is nevada
This is a park with absolutely wonderful potential. My kids love going here. It's just absolutely infiltrated with wasps. I had sent a message to the city after the last time we were there, only to get an extremely snarky reply saying they do their best. Today we went and my daughter got bit by a wasp. Every single parent I have ever seen there complains about the problem.
Nice trail, close to town. About 3 miles worth of trails. Somewhat rocky. Great views of the city.
I come here every day I can't stop talking about how great it is
Great place to walk and take in some Reno views.
Nice play area, and a good amount of grass.
Lived across the street for 8 years and what used to be a beautiful scenic neighborhood park has turned into the local low income housings' drug transaction center, and where Jerks come to play their car stereo at 150 decibels or higher. I can't even allow my kids to play in our front yard or much less the actual park because the non stop traffic that completely ignores the speed limit signs and confuses a 7 & 8 year olds with NASCAR fans while trying to impress them with burnout and traveling 50+ mph on a road barley wide enough for two directions of travel. It's become quite ridiculous and frankly miserable. Their are dog fights all the time I hear pet owners yelling at one another because one of them thinks it's ok to have their pit bull off a leash because "their not Not naturally aggressive" or "I swear he's never acted like this" mean while the shitzu owner is picking up their beloved companion off the sidewalk in pieces. And this is no sarcasm and I do not joke I've seen this similar unfolding at least 5 times. The past 8 month, nearly every weekend has produced a fiesta of some kind which I'm all for celebrations I just wish I could understand the music that's blaring from 11 am till two hour after nightfall. Oh and you can forget about coming to this park on any weekday during or around the hours of noon, being that it has become the preferred location for every employee of IGT to leave their in&out burger trash and cigarette butts next to the curb After spending their lunch break glued to their phone. I can't believe how much has changed in the past year I understand that the economy is getting stronger and perhaps the reason why so many people have moved into the vicinity but what ever it is I just wish people wouldn't be so disrespectful and remember that other people are trying to enjoy the park too. Not just Honda Civic driving, bandanna wearing, corona drinking, pit bull breeding, pot heads who use the local residents parking space to smoke doobies for hours on end. So It's basically a nice park (for drug deals) you just have to look passed all the lovely aforementioned gift that have overtaken the once peaceful huffaker park
Great area for picnic, walking/hiking and tennis (which was our purpose). Relatively shady when compared to other local parks.
Really enjoyed the hike. Rocky. Took my kids and they enjoyed it. Close to town and the weather was perfect. Cool just the way i like it.
I have been to this park only to get to the Trail Lookout. The park seems well kept, has a play area, and exercise area.
This place was pretty cool I was able to walk my dog no problems but you knowthey need to have somebody patrol because other people let their dogs run around with no leash
I love the little trails
Cool
Love the scenery around the park
Simple hike. Too easy. It was laughable..
This park is pretty cool because of the hike up to the Gazebo.
Decent park with playground and a nice trail that leads to a excellent view of reno/sparks. I wish people used the doggie waste stations though.
Nothing to do there
Despite it's location well inside the city, Huffaker park in the evening light makes you feel like you're out in the sage all by yourself, even on a Saturday night. A gorgeous place to watch the sunset, but be back to your car by dusk due to the loose rocks and rough trail!
Pretty great place to just chill at and have the kids run free at the playground up front and another nicer one further into the park and then a bunch of scenic hiking paths are amazing
I really love this park, the trail is a simple loop that mostly anyone can to go on.
The best part about this park and its trails is accessibility. It is within 10 minutes driving distance to most South Reno residents. There is plenty of on-street parking in front of the park. The park and trail are very well maintained. The trail has beautiful views of downtown Reno and Mount Rose. A perfect neighborhood evening stroll.
Beautiful open hill. This place is perfect for a Reno life getaway hike.
Very versatile park, the lower section has a vast grassy lawn that connects to both a baseball feild and a large playground. There is also two tennis courts and a variety of areas to eat or even cook on their charcoal barbeques. The best part of the Huffaker Park though is the hike available if you follow the trail up the mountain. Its about a 1.5 mile loop, and if you play pokemon there is a plethora of Pokestops and two gyms.
It's a lot com
Really pretty and peaceful
Great place to relax and have a barbeque but it's in a getto location
I always go their
Great hiking, beautiful views
Great place, so close to the city,
Beautiful park, I enjoy hiking around the trail. Absolutely stunning views of Reno and Sparks.
Nice trails to walk
Great views of Reno from this vantage point.
lunch. Hike up Rattlesnake Mountain for lu ch.
It’s great but I wish the signs on the hill were readable. They are very old and weathered. It definitely needs a beautification touch up all the way around but superb location. Amazing views.
Always friendly and clean!
Typical place for a park
The best part of the park is the hike up the little hill behind it.
Ok
Nice place to have a picnic and let the kids run around.
Lovely views from the top.
Pretty park but the playground it a little dated
Went there around 9 am on a Sunday. Plenty of shade in the lower area of the park. This included a basketball court, playground, and grilling area. The bathrooms were locked, so don't count on them. The upper part of the park has very little shade, as it is about 1.7 mile walking loop. It is well maintained, except there are weeds with nasty stickers; I brought my dog and combed her thoroughly after. No water available along on the trail. Very nice views.
Cant wait to go back
It has a Pokemon gym.
The best and my favorite most beautiful park to be at!
It's a great jump off spot to climb Rattlesnake Mountain multiple times for a great interval workout....
Great for short rocky single track mtb
Very nice
近くの街を一望できます。
Great views and TMPF let our outing provided historical information about location and geological facts. FUN.
Nice park . A lot of people with their dogs off leash .
Very peaceful and relaxing
Beautiful park for a quick run.
We love the calm and outdoor scenery so we take our walks here most days when we're home here in Reno. Best place for us to exercise.
It's great to have trails so close to the office!
Nice views from the hiking trails here. You can overlook the city from some locations.
Great park for willing around
Nice but not a lot of foliage
I grew up here. It never changes but is large and well maintained.
Very nice time of year.
Excellent hiking loop with variations. Great views of Reno
Nice, quiet park. 2 different playgrounds, one geared towards younger kids, one towards older kids. Baseball/softball field, covered picnic area. Trail access for hiker's and walkers.
It's very big..good for kids and parents ...
Great park for a stroll it playing fetch with the dog
Lovely park. Grounds are well maintained.
Awesome place relatively close to town with stunning views and solid trails
I can't put in words how wonderful it is to live close to this park it has absolutely saved my sanity
Enjoyable place.
Easily accessible and well maintained, this is a great space for walking dogs off-leash, meditation, and exploration of local plants. Enjoy views of Mt. Rose and downtown Reno.
Potters house park. We love it.
Great entry level hiking area with many vistas and a windbreak made of stone at the to of the hill. A definite must do for any hiker of any level. Also as far as hiking trails go, this place is well kept with plenty of rest stops along the way. Seems like one of the main trails goes to Hidden Valley as well. Just be careful in the hotter months since there are snakes in the area.
Good place to meet some smoking friends ha.
Such a beautiful area. As well as beautiful park. Favorite part is the mountain trail in the back.
Great little hike. Clean and well maintained. Bathroom at trail head. Plenty of parking.
Ive no idea but there's an interesting veiw...
Excellent little course you can make it long or short as you wish the math doesn't do it justice Scott different color trails unfortunately they're not marked you'll pick it up as you go I recommend it his little picnic tables at the top bring a snack
Always a blast!
Cannot actually get in. The full thing surrounded by barbwire
Fun park with lots of exploring opportunities.
Nice place for lunch
