The White River Narrows archaeological District, with him Basin and Range National Monument, had some interesting petroglyphs. The area is administered by the Bureau of Land Management. It is recommended to have a high-clearance vehicle to drive around on the back roads. I did it in a rental car during the dry season and had no problem (but I have 40 years of experience driving desolate backroads). This area is very desolate. Bring lots of water and some extra food in case you are unable to leave the area as quickly as you originally planned.
