Went for nice run from Memorial Park to Elmwood Park. Memorial Park had a relaxing area with benches, beautiful flowers in summer time. Concerts in summertime. Great place just to go and sit in the grass and have picnic. Play area, pets welcome.

Great for sledding and concerts. I got bitten up by mosquitoes when I got too close to the woods. Learned my lesson. Good location but the parking is scarce. It's more a landmark than a park to play in.

Annual 4th of July celebration with bands and fireworks reached the mark as has been our experience in past years.

Beautiful park, great for walks and dog friendly. It looks great at night when it's lit up so going at night is also fun. There's a lot of open space and it is really great if you want to go for a run or just hang out with friends. No access to it off of Dodge so you have to go in from the back roads.

This is Omaha's premier park. It was created from valuable land. I think it is the only park that is not a little leftover space after the golf course or the ballfields. It is a wonderful walking park, with a modest Rose Garden near the Memorial, and wonderful Cana beds in the corner by Dodge Street. It has a nice, but modest, playground and a somewhat pitiful ball diamond. However, it is a fabulous place to walk a dog, have an outdoor wedding, or a concert. There are two nice ravines, used by small boys building forts, teenagers who found a six-pack, and middle-aged to old people out with their dogs.

This park is very big and beautiful. Nice place to just go a Sunday and hang out with family or friends. Many events in Omaha happen on this big open area. Is truly a park that we people from Omaha are proud to have. If you are coming to visit. Memorial Park is a must.

Always a great place for a walk in all four seasons. Rose garden is great for weddings. The playground is a great place to take kids, the baseball diamond is awesome for kickball. The slopes are great for sledding when it snows. The cement patios are nice for acro yoga or other group exercise. Along the west end of the property is a little wooded creek area that is fun to explore.

Love this park. Incredibly maintained and so fun during winter months- great spot for snow activities. Rumor has it the church next to it rents out ski equipment to use on the hills.

A park dedicated to our war heroes. An awesome place to go sledding after a huge snowfall. Also, they have a huge concert around the 4th of July which ends with an incredible fireworks show.

This is the great place for the snow sledding. Lot of people do snow sledding during the winter time here. Make sure you wear all the protections and do not forget to bring your sleds board. Please check out my google 360 to get an idea. Most importantly do not forget to remember great men and women of the armed forces who dedicated their life in serving this country. This place is build in the memory of them.

Memorial park is a great in city park, lots of space. Playground. Dog area ,rose garden, trees , War memorial. Fireworks and concert for 4th of July. Theres a paved path all around it for walking ,running etc. Huge open field for flying kites !

It's a beautiful in-city Park with plenty of running space, hills, trees and great sled runs. Kids everywhere after each snow. Easy short slopes for the little ones. Long steep runs that generate screams all day long on white winter days. Have fun! Enjoy the view from the top and yes, you can park there and enjoy the view from your car.

Love this park. It's really well kept and the path is great for dog walking. The only complaint is that there are a lot of dog owners who run their dogs off leash which can be distracting for puppies in training or dogs that don't enjoy being enthusiastically greeted by new/unfamiliar dogs.

What is not to love about this park that hosts events from 9/11 memorials to huge concerts. There are many parts of this park that are hidden away so exploring is a must. Now if we could get an ice rink here for the winter months it would be incredible!

I went there for the first time during the presentation for the new statue and renovated Memorial. It was a very humbling and moving experience, with fellow Veterans, families and friends showing their Patriotism and support. Terrific job by American Legion Post 1 Color Guard, Patriot Guard, and all the Veterans and supporters on the Flag Line, great job!

Beautiful, well-maintained park with a huge green space. There's a spot to the West side of the park that people let their dogs run which is nice. The memorial itself is massive. I wish it weren't right on Dodge, I feel like there would be more uses that way but overall a nice place for a walk/run and not usually crowded.

If you're looking for frequently mowed grass and strange, half-circular concrete monuments that remind us all of the need for a well-funded military, then look no further than the creatively named Memorial Park. On Friday and Saturday nights this park offers park-goers a rare chance to witness local high school kids smoking and drinking various substances, occasionally pairing up and disappearing to the back seat of a car, presumably to work on homework together. During the daylight hours, it's a great place to see people pretending to pick up their dog's leavings. There is no fenced-in area for the dogs, so I don't recommend navigating the park in expensive shoes.

I have been coming here for decades to relax, take photos, visit the Memorial & attend concerts. Most of the time I visit the beautiful rose garden. There have been many changes & improvements over time due to age & some vandalism. One thing I wish they would do is update the rose plaques. Learning about the roses & who donated them was always interesting. Suggestions i have for the public is to hide valuables & lock them up before you arrive or keep them on you. Also keep pets leashed & clean up after them. There are many large dogs so small animal owners beware. Be able to scoop up your small dogs in case big dogs get loose. I see this a lot! Be wary of your surroundings as there are many people lounging, many trees & a lot of wildlife. Enjoy!

Large, peaceful park in the center of Omaha. This site is home to Omaha's largest outdoor event every summer and features a playground, ball park, several large monuments, and plenty of open space. Downsides: limited parking (it's on the northern edge of the park) and no restrooms.
