Don't go if you don't have the ENTIRE day to commit to this. You can only go to the top of the arch as part of an HOUR long tour involving a long history lesson, and then these tours sell out hours in advance. Arrived at noon and wouldn't have been able to go to the top of the arch until after 4 PM. Don't know why they won't just cycle people through who only want to go up, spend a few minutes looking at the city, and leave.

One of the best museum in the US. Must see. Rich and honest take on the history of St. Louis and the Country. I will come back. BTW the stunning exhibition is a reason enough to skip the elevator ride.

It's a marvel of a monument. Nice area to just hangout, enjoy the view with the mighty Mississippi in the foreground. The museum is free but the cost of a trip up the arch is pretty steep. If you're gonna do it, might as well get the package deal with the ferry ride and all that, not much difference in price but would be more worth it than just the trip up, in my opinion.

Great museum. Arch ride to the top was great. Be sure to see the movie about building it. The courthouse is also part of the park. Don't miss it!

Such a cool place. I didn't know nearly enough before I arrived. Plan to ride the team to the top of the arch. Did you know you could do that? I sure didn't! It so cool and totally worth the reasonable cost. Definitely want to gonna fair free day though so you can enjoy everything outside!

Had to walk in hot sun fo1/2 to 3/4 miles. Stood in lines for an hr past tour time. No place to rest, many stairs. No help fo walk back. Nothing was mentioned, in the ticket office, that those with limited standing or walking abilities should not go! We were Very disappointed.

This was my 28th national Park to visit since starting my travels about 10 years ago. I found out from a fellow photographer that this was America’s newest park just recently and therefore planned a visit. I spent most of the time walking around the grounds capturing images at different places while the weather was still good for that. There’s a number of different parking garages nearby. I stayed at a nearby hotel where I’d be staying for the evening. There’s lots to walk around and definitely a sight to take in as America’s newest national park!

The recent designation of National Park status is wildly inappropriate. The significance of National Parks are to preserve extraordinary wilderness areas, Gateway Arch is nothing more than a large monument with rich history in a large city. It would be more appropriate to designate Gateway Arch as a National Monument.

Only national park I will not give 5 stars to. This SHOULD NOT be a national park, as it does not protect or conserve nature. This would receive a full 5 stars if it had retained its status as the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial.
