This Park is included in the category of State park.
Beautiful natural scenery. They have the best disc golf course I've ever played. And their playgrounds are top notch
Great place to stay. Quiet and restful after a day of hard driving. A bit away from everything, but not a problem. One night only with 36' 5th wheel. We will be back!
Good.place.to.go
Mtn Biking, camping, disc golf, cabins, children recreation areas, lake, close by, and beautiful surroundings
Nice and clean park, Jeff is a great host.
We found this place by accident and we're glad we did! We stopped in late December. The area is beautiful, the sites themselves are set up beautifully- tent platforms, fire pit, hammock posts, and a swing at each. The lake had a great pier, there was a playground for children, disc golf, and other activities. The ranger was warm and friendly and we would love to stop through again! We stayed off season and paid $16.
Good park to visit
NIce lake, quite setting.
Relaxing ❤
Great place to relax
Clean and relaxing area.
Beautiful place to go
Traveling from SC to AZ. Wish we could've stayed longer than a quick over night! Beautiful park. Wonderful facilities!
The park was very clean well kept. The prices are fair. The hiking trails were great and the disc golf course looked awesome! Definitely a great place to go.
Beautiful park, RV sites are nice, but the roads are narrow and the have huge drop offs on the side of the pavement, you could damage a vehicle really bad.
The campsites are nice and the bathhouse is clean.
A good place to get away and be com
Nice setting, good bath & laundry facilities. $15 seniors well worth it
The cabin was wonderful, it provided everything we needed for our stay. (Cabin One) The map provided did not give much indications to where trails were, but we ended up finding them anyway and had a blast.
Big discount for seniors, nice lake and playgrounds
Great mountain bike trails
This state park is wonderful! For about 80 bucks I got a 2 bedroom cabin with 3 (queen?) beds plus a kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen had a full sized oven, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. There was at least one each of a pot, a skillet, and a cookie sheet. There were plates, cups, coffee cups, and flatware for six along with a few cooking utensils. Open up the curtains in the living room and you'll find sliding glass doors with a beautiful waterfront view. The back porch had a wrought iron table and chair set. If you bring your own chairs, you can sit around the fire ring or separate grill. The cabin I stayed in had sheets and towels. It even had Dish Network installed with a flat screen TV. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not. But, if you'd like to watch TV, you've got it.
Awesome place.
Only stayed one night. Not bad really. Just not a lot of info given upon check in (i.e where the dumpster is for trash, is there Wi-Fi/ tv etc) Rest room was heated and clean. No place to put your stuff to keep it dry while showering.
Beautiful, quiet, birds singing everywhere.
Very clean
Wonderful cabin!!!! My family and I stayed in cabin 4. Awesome bang for your buck. Kids enjoyed it a lot. Wonderful family getaway.
Beautiful place, great to relax and play.
Love their disc golf course
Beautiful park and campground. Spacious sites. Very clean.
Very nice campground
Fishing sucks
Good size lots and very quiet. The only reason I gave this place a 4 is because there are cats and dogs that are roaming around. I didn't see where anyone had any issues with the strays.
Very nice park, everyone was great cell service spoty at best, but worth a stop
This is a very nice campground, we camped on our way to Georgia. The price, camp hosts and site were wonderful. Only gave 4 stars because not all sites have sewer hook ups. Loved the campsite had a nice paved loop for my son to ride his bike. Would camp here again if ever in the area.
Great park for RVs, disc golf, and mountain bike trails are awesome!
Great mountain bike trails
Nice place Has been going there since I was younger
It's a nice place that throws you right into nature. The facilities are really nice, especially after a 6 hour drive. The only problem I have is that there aren't many multiuse trails (i.e bicycle friendly trails). Also, the pier on the lake was extremely rickety, to the point where my bicycle tire actually fell through a board and got stuck (I wasn't even riding it). All around though, great place. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful, and I thought the frisbee golf course was a cool . The cell cervice is TERRIBLE though, at least on Verizon.
Very nice quiet place.. friendly staff.. clean areas.. hot showers.. will go back
Very clean pleasant campground
Love Tombigbee State Park
Just as I remember from my childhood
Great park, lots of trails, disc golf, and more
Great family fun place
Beautiful trails, nice cabins
Cabins were great. We had a mouse to keep us company. The staff was great. I wish they had a beach.
Great park nice pavillion for a small family picnic
Nice park with quirky showers, where everything will get wet. The restrooms are clean, and the RV sites are nice. Great state park.
So BEAUTIFUL during fall!!!
Love this park! Challenging disc golf courses. Great camping. Beautiful, quiet woods.
Beautiful park with a variety of activities. We will definitely come back to visit.
Loved it
Small campground. But well cared for. We enjoyed our stay. Will use again.
Ilwe enjoy the disc golf. It is good for hiking, fishing, and camping. It has a nice pavilion for outdoor gatherings.
Nice park. Great price for night! $25 bucks! Friendly people!
Stayed in the camping section with a tent. There was a platform for the tent, picnic table, grill, fire area, and garbage per site. I thought the staff was wonderful when paying. Very nice place.
Read some good reviews and decided to give it a try on our ride down the Natchez trace pkwy. The drive into the park entrance was a bit scary. Narrow back roads along dilapidated houses and trailers. When we got in the park the grounds looked nice but the camping sites were bad. Narrow asphalt raised about 4 inches above ground level. Prime ankle breaking opportunity. No room outside of camper. We left and went to the other side of Tupelo to Trace SP. So glad we did. Trace is a great park with great camp sites even for big rigs.
Great fishing
It's a great place to camp and hike. Good for families.
Great state park beautiful place
Really wouldn't give it 1 star. We stayed over the weekend in a cabin. Cleaning isn't high on their list nor is maintenence and landscaping. Our cabin had a dead mouse in a closet, mouse droppings & cobwebs everywhere. We had to throughly clean it ourselves. Landscaping was overgrown all around the cabin. No railings on high uneven steps leading from screened in porch. No decent cookware or cooking utensils whatsoever. Pictures and descriptions are misleading on the website. (Might have been accurate when first posted) Went to fish off one of the peirs and my daughter's right leg fell through a weak spot in the peir. She now has a nice big bruised scraped area on her upper outer thigh. The railings on said peir looked unstable. Several spots in the pier flooring were weak. The pier swayed when one would walk across it. In other words, if you're looking for a "primitive fishing cabin" & peir then you're in luck. Look no further! It would be a great place if it was well maintained. Staff is friendly. It's our understanding it's under new management. I hope they go in and fix all the problems.
Beautiful with large spacious sites
very beautiful peaceful quite and friendly staff
Nice place to camp. Very pretty place
Beautiful park with pretty much any amenity you could ask for. Well maintained and the staff is courteous.
It is a very nice place to have an event. Very pleasant atmosphere. The lake is so beautiful.
We rented a cabin, my wife and I, to have us a little stay-cation and get away from our life for a little while and it was the best vacation that we had had in a long time! We just stayed in our cabin, sat on a screen porch and watched the lake and the wildlife. The weather was perfect and the park was clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend the park and the cabins. We can't wait to do it again soon!
Beautiful no signal though. Negative with kiddos
Sites are very unlevel. The roads and sites in the rv camp area are very narrow.
Great weekend getaway close to home for me
Nice quiet area...enjoyed fishing...the cabin was nice but the shower is very small and sofa too low to the floor with hardly no cushioning....stayed in cabin 3
Going there next week as we explore the Natchez Trace Trail!
Beautiful snippet of nature in the great state of Mississippi.
Love this place! Jeff and Kim are great people. My wife and I make three different visits last year.
Beautiful park but difficult to get to. No wi-fi
My son loves disc golf here!
Loved our stay at Tombigbee!! The cabin was perfect for a little romantic getaway. Stayed in cabin 4, very secluded, and ,it's very close to the water. It does have a t.v. ,but to our surprise we never really watched it during our stay. After getting there, we were told that it was a hard lake to fish and they were right!! We didn't catch anything all week. Veterans Lake is close by, and it is very nice to visit.
Great place to camp love they have septic hook ups
Great Campground and disc golf course
Clean, well maintained campsite for a very fair price!
Great cabins
Great with lots of beauty
My daughter is having her wedding here. Super helpful overseers
no trees and supposedly alligators.
A definitely underated state park in Mississippi, great for staying in to explore Tupelo. We stayed in the cabins there for a night too which were surprisingly nice. Descent trails, a nice playground for the kids, and an entertaining frisbee golf coarse. The only complaint was there was a hair in shower before we used it.
Wonderful place and the rangers are great too..
We were pleasantly surprised at this little gem and wish we could have spend more time there. $15 per night senior for 50 amp full hookup on all paved pads and drives. The bath house was especially nice and very clean and had washer and dryer there as well. It was just for one night, but what a nice place. We were fortunate to have a lovely cool night and absolute quiet from the neighbors. Highly recommend this one when in the Tupelo area.
It's decent for an overnight stay. Not sure I would spend the weekend there
We stayed in a cabin, and left earlier than expected. We had no t.v. and mice got into our food.
Clean and safe
Since moving to Tupelo we have been checking out the State Parks and have been slightly dissapointed. Facilities are not maintained, the pier is falling apart. Glad that there are big play areas and friendly staff, seems that this park is missing the spark it had after CCC did their part.
The had plenty of RV camper spots, 4 primitive camping plots (really well made, but no bathroom or water near by), and also nice cabins. They also had a long disc golf track, plenty of hiking trails, park play places, and amazing views. Would definitely recommend.
Great place
Wonderful place to stay
Can't launch a boat, fish off the dock, but it's a pretty park. Good for family meetings
Nice secluded park, a little intimidating getting there, due to the narrow, winding, road, but clean paved spots
Lo mejor tge best pkace ever
My girlfriend and I got a cabin and could not be happier. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. That night, we went on the screened in porch to see complete blackness, something rare in the city. It was quiet too so that was a great change from the hustle and bustle of Nola.
Wished we could have stayed longer here
Great place for kids to play and ride bikes!
Easy in and out. Nice camp & RV area with good facilities. We will be back .
Narrow winding entrance road with no shoulder and steep BUT beautiful campground with nice concrete pads. Restrooms are convenient to entire campground. Super nice staff. Full hookups, $17 with senior discount. Wood ticks are plentiful, so spray before you play.
BED BUG ALERT. Stayed in cabin one woke up covered in bed bites. Reported to office he said it could be chiggers. I told him I am familiar with chiggers and this isn't chigger bites. After we got out of park area and had a good signal, I researched these bites and bite patterns. The bites I have are exactly the same as the bed bug bite images online. I will be going to a dr for treatment. DO NOT STAY IN CABIN ONE UNTIL THEY CAN PROVE THEY HAVE TREATED THIS CABIN FOR BED BUGS!
Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Nice place but not better than anything you can find 30 minutes away. Staff personnel that I dealt with personally was either having s really bad day or is just a horrible person. Either way it is unprofessional.
Quite place for a romantic picnic. It also looked like a good place to fish.
Great park, bike trail, walking trail, disc golf fishing, playground and cabin rental.
Great place to take the family.
Nice place
Had a great experience taking our parochial school here for field trip lunch, hiking, disc golf, playground & softball game. Rented the big pavilion for lunch. The park has really been improved in the last few years. I believe the Toyota Mississippi has had a large impact on powering the improvements. Looks like they have some nice cabins for rent & a nice RV park.
The best place to escape to when you need time away from reality
Loved it
Beautiful place for a wedding or family gathering.
I always love my camps
Great state park for both RV and tent camping that only lacks decent internet access. There is lots to do hiking, fishing, disc golf and it's a quiet and lovely place. The newly redone spaces are fantastic with area for hammocks and Tents seating around the campfire as well as the picnic area with the grill. Top notch.
Great park with a great disc golf course, nice lake, nice cabins, great staff. Only complaint is in camping area campers act like they own the place.
One of the best parks in MS
Great Place to Camp!!! Beautiful and close to home!
Great part with alot of potential but poor funding as resulted in lack of staff, poor cleaning of restrooms, and buildings in disrepair. Maybe it’ll improve eventually.
Restrooms, showers, washer and dryers, drink machine, quiet ,peaceful, No wifi , No cable ,Bad cell service.
Beautiful, Clean, Close to Elvis birthplace!
Loved it
It's beautiful but make sure to check with your phone provider if you plan on posting pics on social media
Packing up to return home. It is so peaceful here. I just literally felt the stress melt away. We rented 2 cabins and went as family with 5 kids between us. The kids were entertained with playgrounds, softball fields, and disc golf. A great time was had by all.
Very helpful and extra nice down home staff very peaceful ,environment
They have built some fantastic trails out here. They are flowy, smooth and fast. Maybe a little hilly and tough for beginners but an absolute blast!
Enjoyable
Loved the cabin and view , the bed was not so comfortable in cabin 3.
Lovely nature area with some nice facilities and amenities.
Wasn't very big. Only has two trails.
What a nasty disc golf course was amazing
There is no swimming there
