We wanted to tent camp here but had to turn around and leave. It was too expensive - $20 for camping plus $5 day use fees which it said was required if you are camping.

It's off season right now so my review can only be partially complete. The park seems very well kept. The notices and maps at the notification points are up to date and in great shape. I was there to ride the bike trails which are in excellent shape! Whoever maintains them does an awesome job! If this is the park in the winter, I expect it will be even better during the summer. Great job!

Beautiful but as with most federal government agencies they are wasting our money not maintaining our resources or managing our timberlands. Roads were in bad condition, probably an effort by the environmental wackos to discourage people from using and seeing their national Forrest. Choctaw lake was drained for some reason and no visible maintenance activities going on. Was once a great fishing lake and peaceful relaxing place to go too. Maybe it needs a management replace who doesn't squander our tax money.

This is one of Mississippi's best mountain biking trail systems. With almost 30 miles of trails that are well maintained this can keep you occupied for awhile.

It's beautiful here. The Natchez Trace runs right through it. Great place to stop and go for a walk. Not a lot of improvements, just a nice forest to walk through.

We really enjoy camping in the primitive campsites here. The one thing that would make it better would be a dumpster on the way out to discard trash because we end up having to haul it all of the way back home. Otherwise, it's a beautiful place to camp.

The maps weren't readily available, but once we found one it was easy to find the primitive camping sites. They had campfire stones at the site and plenty of firewood on the ground. Very quiet and peaceful. Nobody else was out there when we went.

Memorial weekend @ Popular Flats and Bevill Hill starting to put flowers on the graves. Everything well groomed on Refugee, looking beautiful. Very relaxing area and grew up hunting here in my youth.
